Chapter 16: Rescue
At his base (possibly his home) Gentle Criminal ties the slumbering girl to a chair with blue ropes. He wonders to himself how to salvage the situation. He had called Mr Shadowstar on the phone but only answering machine received the call. "I left instructions. But I was counting on this going differently." Criminal man muses unhappily. He suddenly gets a call from an unknown caller. "Mr Shadowstar?"
A female voice answers. "No. It's La Brava. Listen. Shadowstar is on his way. Traffic cams spotted convertible speeding to your location. Oh I'm completely devoted to you and wish to help. However circumstances indicate you chose the wrong guy to mess with. Somehow the guy locked me in my basement despite how I'm in the top five hackers in Japan. It will take least a few minutes to unlock. Everything on the dark web suggests, without actually saying so, Matthew Shadowstar always gets everything he wants. Without anger. Without paying ransoms. Without anyone he met ever pressing charges. Maybe a reason I wasn't punished any further was he knew all I'd do from here was warn."
Gentle Criminal responds without fear. "Nonsense. He loves his daughter. He will pay the five mil. Everybody knows that is how the game is played." And with that he hangs up. He relaxes for just a moment before the cameras and even the lights in the house get shut off all at once. "What the..?"
You slowly wake and give groggy singing. "You're in trouble. Better give up on the double. Daddy acknowledged you want to rumble." You sit up in better posture then smile patiently unconcerned.
Shadowstar charges down the door. He has no weapon with him except boombox and cigar cutter. Somehow though an intelligent man could perceive that he looks dangerous despite looking very extraordinarily calm. "You have choices. My Quirk let's me know which is the truth." He sets down midnight black nineteen-nineties style boombox and presses play. It plays a song*. "A week in jail payment for kidnapping my autistic daughter. Or you lose one of your fingers. You will not play any beautiful piano music afterwards, that's for sure." He watches the elastic hero without caring which horrifying option is preferable. "In a few weeks you and La Brava will become infamous criminals if somehow knowing that helps." The man goes on to state from the doorway. "I think you will learn."
Gentle knows the cameras are off but habits die hard. He tries to put on a show. "Lose one of my precious fingers." He says in answer. He wasn't compelled to answer or under any geas but well imprisonment is not the better deal at this time in his budding career. He stands aside as a father unimpeded walks to the girl. A showmanship bow is demonstrated out of genuine respect. A fight unnecessary especially without an audience. "I presume this means we are square afterward." He secretly thinks about if he can get out of the situation without losing anything, but even with boost, absolutely nothing can be gained by continuing the current situation. "I wish all were as forgiving."
Matthew Shadowstar meanwhile scolds you fairly but seriously. "No going into the library public or otherwise for a week. Even if it is illegal please use your Quirk to escape bad situations. Nobody important will hold it against you, Carol." He helps you to your feet. "Wait in the car, my daughter." Watching you walk out of the room, picking up the boombox on the way, he speaks quietly but with authority. "Show me your right hand, Tobita. You and I can see eye to eye that 'good' and 'bad' are concepts we humans created." And thus twenty minutes later the father takes his daughter home.
You go on to be a pretty good hero. Himiko never becomes a hero but she lives the rest of her life contently without breaking the law. An adult Himiko Toga gets to use her Quirk sometimes to look precisely like you or others. After she awakens the Quirk, whatever that means, she even can use amazing abilities (including One-For-All if she drinks just some of Izuku's blood). You stay thankfully eternally innocent. Father dies eventually but you live with Himiko and she acts as nice caretaker.

I enjoyed doing this Quest but my muse vanished today. I've not been feeling well. Vision problems, dizziness, back pain, and feeling meh. Thank you everyone for indulging in this narrative fun though.
