I'll also point out that the result of us having both protege and emotional healing while being convincing at persuading our rich masters to let us treat them is that we'll end up with some slightly less dysfunctional masters at the quests start.

    Since their exile, the Aristovs have become another wandering family of European aristocracy, forever displaced yet unyielding in their quest to preserve their noble heritage. They navigated the shifting landscapes of 20th-century Europe, settling temporarily in Paris, Vienna, and London, but never calling any place home. Their exile has been marked by both tragedy and resilience, from fighting in the Polish War for independence to suffering in concentration camps, to fleeing Soviet forces as they marched through Eastern Europe. Trying desperately to find and have a home, when it is all but impossible to do. They sought to rebuild their lives while mourning the loss of their ancestral lands and influence.

    With the fall of communism and the dissolution of the USSR, the Aristovs saw a glimmer of hope to reclaim their heritage. However, their dreams of returning to their ancestral estates were dashed when the Russian government refused to restore their properties and landholdings, all but demanding that they pay for the property that they lost. For a price that would all but ruin the family's finances. In protest, and perhaps out of pride, they chose to remain in self-imposed exile, seeing it as a statement of defiance and a refusal to compromise their ideals.

    The family has since focused on leveraging their wealth and influence to maintain their standing. The current patriarch, a shrewd and pragmatic man, has significantly expanded the family's fortune through strategic investments, as well as a shadowy career as a mercenary and agent for the highest bidder.
