Hello all, just a small update that I'm alive (though I'm trying to get over a nasty fever today.) Not of the fun.
 
Well, new story in the Sheilaverse.
A Scion in Creation
The daughter of a goddess? Pfff. There's one of those in every bar in creation it seems like. After all, how much difference is there between 'godblood' and 'scion?

Well, off to the doctor's after a week on my back. (That hasn't helped my typing much) Hopefully my staph infection in my leg will be better enough I can be out of bed for more than the essential bio needs.
 
Sorta improved as the infection is shrinking and starting to have brown spots. Now allowed to sit up, so typing is a lot easier. I expect to now be able to get some writing done.

Not quite that bad off, but 'bed rest with leg up' until Monday still. At least I'm allowed to sit up. Which means I can type again. I've already written another page or two of "A Scion in Creation" in the aftermath of Denendsor.

The annoying thing is I felt okay through most of it. Occasional 'yucky' time from a fever here and there and it would hurt a little to stand on the leg, but that was from the pressure-sock I've been wearing for a week.

Small update, I've been mostly working on 'A Scion in Creation' and the unpublished 'Scion Effect'.

But since I was able to sit as my computer for more than a few hours (and I was willing to take a break from ME3) I finished the first cover of 'The Scion of Athena'.


Sheila I painted myself and collages the three main covers of Hero, Demigod and God.
 
She's an 11 year old (physically) 5'5" girl, so lanky is actually correct. I guess my arm's beinf fore-shortening didn't work right. :/
 
Even then, her absent breasts look like pecs while they should actually look like shapeless bumps.
 
Well, an update for people. My leg is 'mostly okay'. Just have some scarring, I think. Been writing, but not much to publish right this moment. Life is a little hectic with everyone else's health and trying to pay bills after missing 8 days of work. :/
 
Thanks! Even on some new blood pressure medicine. So hopefully the swelling in my feet goes down.
 
Our family had a loss today, so I don't know when my writing will get back into the swing. I'll try to keep you guys up to date.
 
Thanks, guys. Just trying to get by one day at a time. My mother's passing was sudden and her last twelve hours was the most heart-breaking thing in a hospital I have ever seen.
 
Condolences, it's always a difficult time.
Talk with your relatives, your friends, and celebrate how she lived.
 
Yeah, Sheila kind of got caught in a catch-22. She couldn't refuse Tien Yu's advances without really insulting her but she wasn't ready for that change. Athene the Innovator is actually a very important change to Lookshy and its eventual Fate.
 
So I was going back over some stories and that first chapter of Stargate Scion seems to have some serious issues. I'm not sure I'm up for a large rewrite, but perhaps I should go back and clean it up?
