[X]Mandatory Therapy and other measures: In the last 24 hours there have been have among-st both the military and civilian population of the SDF-1, a total of 132 suicides. The reason for this sudden rash of suicides is obvious. The Zentradi's orbital bombardment of Earth, or as it's starting to be called the Rain of Death. With humanity's numbers so low and the loss of countless skilled people across numerous fields, every life is precious. Therefore mandatory therapy and others measures are needed for both the military and civilians to prevent further loss of life. Or as the very least greatly decrease the number of suicides.
Reward: Reduction in the number of suicides among-st the SDF-1's military personnel and civilians.
Thankfully amongst both the military and civilian population you have a sizeable number of therapists and psychiatrist. A result of the stress of being in space and the countless Zentradi attacks and the need to deal with the issues that result from that. So you gave the order and as a result of everyone was required to attend therapy. Even yourself. Many complaints were made but this is a necessary response. What you all went through was a very traumatizing event. As well very other measures were implemented. All together it seems to have help reduce your suicide epidemic as there only has been 210 suicides for the remainder of the month rather than that being daily. Still vigilance is required to prevent more suicides.
Result: Suicide rate has fallen for now.
[X]A new chain of command: Like Earth's civilian leadership, their military counterparts are likely all dead. Therefore establishing a new chain of command is necessary. Your officers will be assigned to various commands that will need to be re-established, while you will be taking command of what is left of Earth's forces.
Reward: SDF-1 officer's promoted and put in charge of various military command's while you will assume command of all remaining Earth forces.
You know giving commands to your officers and promoting them to the necessary rank or even putting yourself in charge of what's left of the military is not even remotely legal, but the Rain of Death has made it necessary. All in all the process of assigning commands was rather easy since you have known the officers under command for many years or at least the last two years. You've noted with some humor that many of your Admirals and Generals are very young and the officers taking their former jobs even younger. You wonder how long the youthfulness of this officer core and the new brass will last but despite their young age you have no doubts about their ability to lead. And finally you made yourself Military Chief of Staff or MCS for short and are now in command of the military. Hopefully nobody will dispute your personal promotion.
Result: Various Commands re-established and quite a few promotions. You are now command of the military.
[X]Search for survivors and organize them: After the battle there a was fear that the people on board of the SDF-1 and still in orbit we're the majority of the surviving people of the Earth. However the radio transmissions you've been receiving have given you hope that more people than estimated have survived the final battle. As a result your next step is to send out patrol craft to locate and rescue stranded survivors and giving what aid you can to the devastated communities of this region and beyond. Also you will need to convince the surviving communities that they will need to share their resources and work together if you all are to survive this catastrophe.
Reward: Searching for survivors begin and first crucial steps to rebuilding civilizations.
Patrol craft have begun sweeping the nearby areas for survivors and surviving cities and towns. Convoys of refugees have been redirected and survivors rescued. Most towns and cities in this regions have either been destroyed, ravaged or abandoned. A few small towns have been found and the ruins of a city, renamed Granite City and inhabited by refugees were found and assistance provided to them. Engineers have been dispatched to plan the reconstruction of these settlements. As well construction of greenhouses to reduce starvation. And finally Veritech patrols extended to these areas.
Result: Refugees resettled in SDF-1. A few inhabited towns and Granite City discovered.
[X]Patrol surrounding areas: While the war is technically over, you figure sizeable parts of Dolza's surviving warriors will not care about that fact. So best to begin using what Veritech's you have left to patrol nearby area's for any signs of hostile forces who may have landed nearby or give you advance warning of a possible attack on the SDF-1.
Reward: Patrols of nearby area's begin for signs of enemy forces.
At first you didn't have many Veritechs available for patrol duty seeing as not many were on board when the SDF-1 crashed landed. And of those board, many were were heavily damaged during the crash landing. Though over the course of the remainder of April, between repairs and the arrival of RDF Veritechs from orbit, you are able to more extensively patrol the nearby areas and no longer have to worry about not having enough squadrons in case a Zentradi unit attacks.
Result: Patrols of nearby areas have begun. As well there is now once again a full complement of Veritech fighters on the SDF-1.
[X]We need more food: With most of Earth's farmlands have been destroyed and as well radioactive, famine, hunger and starvation are going to be a common fact for most people for a long time to come. Still can you begin alleviating this by building more greenhouses to grow food in addition to rebuilding the ones you already have on the SDF-1. Your as well gonna need the extra food as you take in refugees.
Reward: Additional food begins to be grown on the SDF-1.
Building of new greenhouses and repairing of damaged ones has begun to help stabilize your food situation and to feed refugees and support settlements in this region and beyond. Though it will take time till the next crop is ready. As a result you've been forced to once again insitute rationing. Those in charge of managing the greenhouses have suggested that you move ahead with building a city outside of SDF-1 to free up space for either greenhouses and or farm land, though there is some debate about the validity of the second.
Result: New greenhouses built and older ones repaired. Rationing once again implemented.
[X]Remember the fallen: The Zentradi killed billions before your forces working with Breetai's forces were able to defeat them. As a result everyone has lost a friend or a loved one. Perhaps a memorial event will help them in their grieving for those recently lost and as well honor those who have given their lives to protect humanity.
Reward: Memorial service held. Hopefully help the grieving process for countless people.
The service was a rather somber event. Civilians and military remembered and mourned those lost and likely dead. Though stories about about happier times were shared as well. RDF personnel and even those Zentradi that attended shared war stories and talked about comrades who did not live see the end of the war. From what you can tell from personal observations, it's helped quite a few people.
Result: Memorial service held. Boost to ship morale.
