Will this be the only vote over the Summer or will there be a couple?

Can we suggest some minor things for us to do in addition to big overarching actions on the list? Minor actions like, trying to get Willow and us to call Buffy over the break a few times.

Yeah, go ahead and suggest multiple things. I should offer at least a couple turns over summer
 
[X]Try to make connections in the supernatural community - not everything can be evil, right?

Various Minor thoughts:
[] Try and call Buffy a few times.
[] Suggest Willow should call Buffy a few times.
[] Invite Marcie out various places. IE Make time for Marcie so she's not alone/forgotten.
[] Suggest Giles lets Marcie stay at his house, he probably has a guest room.

    • You decided to spend the summer looking into Sunnydale's supernatural community. You knew it had to exist. There was Willy's Bar, for one, and the magic shop that you knew was heavily frequented. The only question was how to get in on that. You ended up bouncing ideas about where to look for people who knew the truth about Sunnydale with Marcie. You would have liked to do it with Willow, but you knew that she wouldn't be happy about you poking your nose into things while Buffy was out of town.

    You ended up starting with Willy's Bar as a place that you knew you could visit relatively safely and find others in. The magic shop would be safer, but figuring out who was in the know and who wasn't would be a lot trickier. You looked around, noting the various beings populating the bar. You quickly hit a second realization: you had no idea how to tell who was safe to approach and who wasn't. You knew that demons that were relatively peaceful existed. You just didn't know how to identify them. You just kept on running into problems. It felt like things were going against you.

    This was only the start of summer though, you weren't going to turn around and give up this fast.

    [ ]Try to borrow books from Giles to identify demon species
    [ ]Try to just strike up conversation
    [ ]Write-in

    • I like the idea of working with Marcie for reading on the sly.

    Still though, I currently favor people watching.

    [X] become a regular at the bar; buy drinks, people watch. Get an idea for who shows up regularly over time, and who are the one and done. Especially for who are the one and done after talking to a regular.

    I don't like the idea of Xander buying alcohol, assuming that the bar will even sell him alcohol while he's under-age. Aren't Xander's parents alcoholics? While the PC is not the original Xander, he probably has to worry about any genetic tendencies for addiction.

    I think I'll just go for the books for now because I'm worried about Xander getting in over his head if he hangs around demons without knowing which ones are dangerous. I'm not sure about having Marcie help us borrow books because that would be even more difficult to explain if Giles catches us.

    There's more drinks than booze, and that doesn't stop him at all from buying alcoholic drinks for somebody else.

    I do get that I was unclear in common parlance. I also feel like Willy's wouldn't care at all if Xander bought something alcoholic as well.

    Perhaps I'm wrong, but I thought Willy's also sold straight blood for vampires getting 'drinks'. Obviously I'm not suggesting that Xander drink blood either.

    Willy had blood, yeah. And pretty much anything people wanted.
     
    Books seems the most correct choice for now, but may try and think of a write in... striking up conversation with Marcie's invisible support could be okay? I think magic users isn't a great focus.
