My god, handholding!? What's next, drawing characters cutely cuddling together or… no, surely not, looking longingly into each other's eyes! I thought you a respectable gentleman, to draw something as degenerate and lewd as handholding…

    • Jacqueline isn't evil... or horny. I say before stating she's a Vampire and former Harlot that's also an actual Deity. So as long as you're not someone wicked, she totally won't murder you and drain you of all your blood.

    Also I should probably clarify that Beatrice, Evangeline, and Veronica are all half-sisters. That and Veronica's Succubus heritage is a Dream-based Lifeform rather than traditional Horny Devils. She just has zero shame dressing the way she does cause, ya know, she's a dragon- she's pretty much everything-proof.

    The way to described her as "just villager A" made me think of a scene with a bunch of adventurers entering the village and:
    Adventurers: "Dragon! We're all gonna die!"
    Villager B: "Dragon? Where? I don't see no dragon."
    Adventurers: "Right there, in the green dress!"
    Villager B: "That's Alice, not a dragon. What are you people smoking? Should be something good."
    Adventurers: "But... but... horns! Tail!"
    Villager B: "Didn't your mothers ever tell you not to talk about someone else's body like that? Rude!"
    "Villager A": "Hey, Brad, what are the newcomers yelling about?"
    Adventurers: "Nothing! Run away!"

    Her name is Beatrice, and admittedly she is supposed to be The Normal One or something to that effect amongst her sisters. Also she's a Half-Dragon to be clear, though she'd still have shapeshifter powers cause Dragon. She's also technically a Half-Demon, though the math gets kind of weird since she's 3 halves- her father was an infamous Devil Dragon. Beatrice herself is a very sweet person.

    Edit: Annnd I got screwed by SV telling me there's updates only after I have hit post. Updates which contain the answer. :V
     
    The paneling work in Witch Hat Atelier is exceptional and really helps sell the magic as something mystical. Highly recommend it for people into fantasy.

    Well...

    Labrys and Aigis were part of a band of orphans with Mana and two other boys, Keita and Musashi (who you've done art of before).

    They got abducted for an experiment; Labrys and Aigis volunteered to be the first test subjects, so as to spare the other three.

    Long story short, Labrys's entire being is bound within the silver gem in the axe, whilst Aigis's entire being is bound within the red gem in the shield. Through other complicated paranormal science, they themselves became bound — as weapons — to Mana Kirishima.

    However, as the plot has progress, it's clear that they're still 'present', to an extent. Whether they'll ever be free of those gems? Well, who knows.

    So Labrys isn't dead. Not sure if her current state of existence counts as being 'alive', though...
