OK, got it: you want to post pone and ENSURE bad end, cause meeting her where she CAN'T fight back without causing collateral damage and potentially harm Madoka and put all her efforts in this loop to 0, is SOOOOO much worse then meeting her on street where she won't even pretend to listen and 'll shoot immediately.

Perfect logic. Really, just listen to your fears.

Could you explain HOW would this be a "bad end"? School is the ONLY controlled environment were she has to exercise even a mediocre amount of self-control.
 
Especially since if she shoots us in the of a class room, she'll hit somebody else as the bullet goes through our body...

Homura excuses herself from class, transforms in private, time-stops, and goes rat hunting. Maybe punt Kyubey somewhere private where no one can hear the gunshot before she does the deed.

She's got quite the supply of Grief Seeds, I'm sure she can manage. We need combatants of our own that can shut down Homu's timestop before anything else, combatants like a Mami who knows how the Timestop works.
 
True, @Hannz , true, except: Mami has no clue how to fight something like that, and her presence might cause unnecessary complications, especially since we can't talk freely with her around (y'know weak mind, barely keeping her emotions in check, easily affected by bad news..........). Really it's just wishful thinking that ANY amount of MG/PM/Witches will stop her from going ballistic at us for having any amount of meta-knowledge.

+ That was my reason for keeping a • "private channel", • AT LEAST 2 class-room distance from her AND • hiding in places like Trash or in someones bag.
School is the ONLY place where we have any form of "neutral ground" without giving her a chance to run, kill, psycho-out, etc.

Besides, if we play our "disconnected from the network" right, she might see us as a resource, to use/manipulate. Something "new" in this loop.

I'm gonna leave the votes open a little while longer so you guys can sort this discussion out.

I kinda like watching all the theories and suppositions.

She does though, just look at Rebellion. If Mami knows how something works, she can figure out a counter. Just be her friend and put her in a good place, and all is well. Hell, maybe even help her reconnect with Kyoko through Yuma. A stable Mami with a support network is a Mami that won't Tetris.

Homura does not like abberants in a timelime after she got burned severely by them in Oriko Magica. Said abberants managed to throw off a perfect loop and actually killed Madoka, the ultimate sin. She won't take chances with abnormalities, not anymore. Whatever we say, she won't listen to without us having hard proof that we can do good and actually have done good (ie stabilize Mami and have her offer Homura a peace deal).

Do that first, then contact Homura lest she decides to take care of us permanently.

Besides the fact that we could actually get Mami in on this situation, as an actual ally, if we focus on her more first? Oh, and the fact this isn't the only fucking time we'll be able to contact her at school?

We are the one who destroyed her life and we're the one who killed Madoka over and over again. It's possible your plan would work. We'd go out there, try to convince her, and she'd at least hear us out.

Thing is? Bringing up Madoka in particular reveals we know too much. It tells her that Kyubey remembers the past...and we have no clue how volatile she'll become in response.

Should we approach Homura? Yes.

Should we do so by going up to her early on and begging her for help? Breaking our cover completely, making her feel like she's lost control of the situation, and risking our prompt execution in the process? I don't think so.

To stabilize Mami we need to offer her more companionship. That means we should push her and Madoka to spend even more time together than they did in canon. I don't think Homura will like it.

I'm pretty sure, Mami doesn't need to be pushed to offer Homu a peace deal. Trouble is, Homura will reject it, just like she rejected Gertrud's Grief Seed in canon. She doesn't see a reason to work with Mami.

IMO the only reason why it worked in PMAS is because Sabrina revealed to Homu that she want to solve Grief problem and know about Walpurgisnacht.
We need to do something similar. Explain to her that we know about Walpurgis and want it dead ('to acquire its Grief Seed for SCIENCE!' is a good cover story, I think) and ready to make some concessions for megucas who'll agree to fight it.

Also, I think we are overestimate Homura's agressiveness. Canonically, she attacked QB to prevent its meeting with Madoka. She failed and stopped to hunt it, just warned Madoka to not trust it and not make a contract. If I remember correctly, the next time she killed QB was when Madoka almost make a wish to help Sayaka.

Yeah, agree here.
Problem is Homura's broken, more so than majority of other MGs in Japan. As long as we don't threaten "Madoka 'll make a wish" Homura is able to tolerate Kyubey or even use him/it for information.
Her attitude towards Mami comes from timeline when they learn that MGs are Witches – Mami went "murderspree" and killed her friends.

And Mami... For Homura she is "unreliable" (read above ↑).... Unless we stabilise her... In episodes where she died, it was a bad time for ["I'm not alone" relief] otherwise when she get's that out of her system, she'd be more stabile and thus more reliable and might survive learning the Truth.

... HEY we can also pretend the Incubators are "emotionless" due to Network. We "got" cut-off and thus started to return to "emotional original", explaining or actions!.... Except it does not explain direct Meta-knowledge.
I mean some vague "Madoka's potential is too big" might be reasonable explanation if we don't mention anything about past timelines, merely unobstructed view from individual perspective, not "hivemind"....

"Stabilize Mami" does not mean "Make Meduka Contract". There's a wealth of potential contractees out there for her to mentor (Majority of Girls on the list), and there's still Kyoko to reconnect and a Yuma to protect. Not to mentiom the Pledias Saints.

There's a ton of options here besides Pink and Blue.

Homura will accept Mami's help because she has a fuckton of firepower with her, not to mention the addition of other girls screaming "Mumi-senpai, kyaaa~!" Once we're done. Just have her mention that she knows about Walpurgis and that she's willing to help. Homura's a practical gal, she won't refuse having an army against Walpy. Doesn't matter where she got the info from, just that she has a good chance of actually getting past May 1.

As for Homura's aggresiveness, we don't get a day by day view of her actions. It's entirely possible she just went on killing Kyubey bodies off-screen since there's a lot of them and when there's less Kyubey Bodies his vision of the entire city is lessened.

Result: our army will break in the moment they find out the truth.

Well, something like canon situation with Madoka throwing Souls. I'm pretty sure it wasn't QB's fault.

We don't need to bomb her, just say there's a witch coming to wreck the city, the same witch she and Kyoko promised to kill together if it came to Mitakihara, and we're set.

If we really do have to, then that's where the support network of friends, family, and followers come in and help stabilize the blow for them all.

That was an unstable Mami who just had to kill her own protege and friend in Witch form.

Absent that, and with people to cry together about their fate, her reaction won't be so explosive. The same goes for the other MGs. Social Networking saves lives in PMMM, or as they say, "Friendship is Magic!"

Because one of our girls actually witching out in a Witch rich area due to Walpurgisnacht's coming is extremely unlikely considering how hard Mami hits and how we can prevent her slip ups by providing her with trainees to cover for her.

The wealth of Grief Seeds we can get by farming the city can't be understated, and with a Kyubey that doesn't want anyone to Witch and considering how obvious and slow a Grief Spiral is (Using Sayaka as a baseline, days or weeks), we have a effective delivery system to prevent Witch-Outs.

    You take a while waiting for Mami to get up. You would think that one as disciplined as her would rise early but instead you end up watching nearly an hour trickle by minute by minute before you realize that you are quite bored.

    You are extremely comfortable snuggled into the crook of her legs and you manage to distract yourself for a time with watching the sunlight slowly crawl along the walls and the revelation that with all the reading you did you didn't actually spend any of last night sleeping.

    You're pretty sure that should be a lot more disconcerting than it seems right now.

    You do at least manage to spend a little while musing on the potential effects on your mental health that never sleeping might have as well as wondering if you didn't sleep or if you simply can't sleep like this. Still, that distraction only lasts you for so long before you return to boredom. A quick glance at the clock tells you that it's 8:26 am.

    You wonder if Mami set an alarm...

    Three minutes and twenty-one seconds later, a buzzing fills the air and Mami stirs, displacing you from your warmed space with a little shift as she mumbles something incoherent before sitting up with a yawn and blinking as she looks at you. "Ooahn~ Oh! Good Morning Kyubey-san." She does a little half bow where she's sitting before swinging her legs over and flipping the covers away, forcing you to slink out from under them. For all that she seemed quite surprised to see you she manages to take it in good stride as she rises and goes about her morning routine, though you're forced to slink back under the covers when you realize that will entail getting dressed. Just because you've become a weird alien thing doesn't excuse you being a pervert damnit!

    "Eh... Kyubey-san? Where did you go?" You take the question to mean that it's safe and are glad to see your suspicions prove correct as you poke your head out from under the covers to see a fully-dressed MamI in her schoolgirl's uniform.

    ...Come to think of it, you had forgotten she actually attended school.

    You make it to halfway through breakfast before you realize that Mami has been giving you funny looks with greater and greater frequency. Admittedly you were staring a little bit at the sight of her with her hair down before she put it back up and carefully curled it back into those distinctive drills but you stopped once she had the typical look back and you're starting to realize that she might not have been looking at you because of your staring.

    Do you even blink anymore?

    You try to blink.

    You're pretty sure you succeeded? It feels weird...

    Now it's time for her to head off to school, and you end up with a choice.

    She canonically goes to the same school as Madoka, Sayaka, Hitomi and Homura. She's a year above them and she was watching over them one lunch period when they discussed what their wishes should be.
