Rebuild a Shattered Sect

I'm not saying that's why the Orthodox sects attacked us. They were probably just jealous. But it was how they justified the attack. Unless we get a stronger backer we should stay away from human blood. At least on a sect wide level. We might try it out personally in private just to see if it gives the kind of power boost that seems likely.

I think even trying it is probably not a great plan outside emergencies, there may be some way to tell we've done it.
Honestly if there was a good clear way to tell if someone has drunk human blood I do not think we would be in this situation. Because the elders could just demand to be tested.
At least not in small quantities. It has already been shown that drinking enough blood gives you the characteristics of an animal. And while who knows what the characteristics of a human would look like when layered on a human I bet it would be something uncanny enough for people to tell.

This only works if you trust the testers not to lie. My impression is that this is targeted by the political powers that be...the person testing just has to say we're guilty for guilt to be assigned.

I mean, the injured guy will be fine within a week, and our bestie knows how to fight decently, so it's not as bad as all that. We're also hoping for at least the hunting party to come join us. I'm fine with Solitude but Soldiering seems viable as well.
I think the only way the Eldest Sister doesn't make it is if she decides to sacrifice herself for some of the others. And she's definitely the strongest fighter. Though decent odds she decides to go make her own sect out of jealousy.

Well, Swarm's looking like it's gonna win. I can live with that, it's definitely my favorite of the ones I didn't vote for and should make for a fun story, even if it is risky. I'd still prefer Solitude for security reasons, but you can't always get everything you want.

We can be careful about the attempts, heck we have Old Chang that could be designated to try in secrets with the rest only observing the effects, until we are reasonably certain that it is safe / doesn't have detectable signs.
