Rebirth of a Dungeon Master

Chapter 24
Safi jumped on her parents' bed early in the morning, eager for an upgrade. "Mom? Can we upgrade me now!?" she asked.

"Nyaaan," Nekra replied, trying to stretch awake, but found herself serving as Yuki's hug pillow.

"Sure," Nekra replied as she slipped out of Yuki's arms with the grace of a cat.

"Yay!" Safi cheered.

"Shh! Do you want to wake up Auntie Milim and Momma Yuki?" Nekra asked.

Safi shook her head no.

"Let's go then," Nekra said, grabbing Safi's surprisingly warm hand as they teleported out to her main body.

"So, what do you want to do first?" Nekra asked.

"Magic muscle is good, but under a lot of pressure, it will snap," Safi said.

"Nya!? It's not supposed to. It's made from dragon hide," Nekra said.

"How about Strand Crystal tissue?" Safi suggested.

"Where are we going to make room for that?" Nekra asked.

Safi pulled open the panel.

"Ah, if we replace the hydraulics with narrower pistons made with sturdier metal, then we should have room nya," Nekra said.

Safi nodded.

"How about Adamantium?" Safi asked.

"I was thinking Orichalcum nya," Nekra said.

"Then we can have magic going through it, genius!" Safi responds as Nekra began to remove the massive hydraulic pistons.

Suddenly, fluid was launching out of the system. The sound of burning could be heard coming from Nekra as the very angry hydraulic fluid ate away at her clothes and tried to burn her skin.

"Nya! I forgot to drain the system first," Nekra shouts only lightly disturbed as the fluid was slowly eating away at her clothes.

"That stuff is dangerous." Safi mutters

"Nya of course! I purposely designed it so that way if someone had ever cut your hydraulic systems while in battle it would cripple them for it." Nekra says with a rather jovial tone.

==================

Yuki woke up in bed to find herself cuddling something soft, but it didn't have Nekra's body heat.

"Hmm? Where did Nekra go?" Yuki asked, opening her eyes to see herself hugging a body pillow of Nekra wearing her white dress with her normal charming smile.

Yuki turned it around to see the other side, which was the exact same, but rather than Nekra smiling, it showed her blushing. Head facing downwards yet here eyes were looking up at her.

"Cute!" Yuki exclaimed as she started to get a nosebleed.

====================

"Why do I feel uncomfortable..." Nekra said as she bolted in a new piston.

"I don't know," Safi replied as she worked on the computer components.

"Are you sure this will work, Mom?" Safi asked.

"Of course nya. It's a magical quantum computer; it uses magic for cooling nya," Nekra said.

"Why am I installing the inferior computer next to it then?" Safi asked.

"Because there are formations that can remove magicules from the air," Nekra explained as she pulled out a hammer and hit the stick piston into place while Safi was unaware.(this hurts my soul)

"Then what about the perpetual magic engines?" Safi asked.

"Nya? That can be solved by having an Arc reactor installed somewhere for an emergency backup," Nekra said as she accidentally punctured a hose with her claws.

"Oops nya," Nekra said as she quickly replaced the hose to the piston.

"Hey, Mom, what is this thing?" Safi asked.

"That's a force field generator nya," Nekra said, looking up from the leg access panel.

"Where should I install this?" Safi asked.

"Around the core is a safe bet nya. Although we may layer your titanium body with a stronger metal at the solid places; you can never risk your core nya?" Nekra said.

"But aren't I constantly backing up to the dungeon computer?" Safi asked.

"You are nya, but only while you are in the dungeon nya," Nekra said, closing the panel before opening the overhead one to work on the upper legs.

===================

"Hey Yuki? Where is Nekra?" Milim asked as she opened the bedroom door, seeing Yuki making out with a pillow.

"Uhhh, I don't know, probably with our daughter," Yuki said, hiding the Nekra body pillow behind her.

"Can't you see her with that anime-watching device?" Milim asked.

"Ah, great idea, I will be right out!" Yuki said as she quickly stuffed the Nekra body pillow under the bed before heading out after Milim.

Out at the computer.

"So she's working on Safi's body with Safi," Yuki said, while Milim's battle aura seemed to be spreading, though Yuki didn't even notice it.

"Hey, hey? Can I fight that dragon?" Milim asked, pointing at the screen.

"..." Yuki of course was watching the demonlord rather sceptically

"What?" Milim asks

"Why did you not want to fight our daughter lastnight?" Yuki asks

"Because we were watching anime." Milim say switch a simple shrug.

==============

Meanwhile, working on installing the motherboard, Safi suddenly shuddered.

"Mom, I feel like I'm in danger!" Safi shouted.

"It's probably nothing, dear nya," Nekra said as she finished up the third of the four legs before she had to do the tail and wings.

Chapter 25
"Alright, that should do it nya," Nekra said, closing up the final panel and wiping her forehead with her arm.

"Ready to go, Safi?" Nekra asked.

The girl perched atop the gigantic dragon nodded.

"Where are you going?" Yuki asked.

"To see Grand Uncle Veldora," Safi replied.

"So how are you getting out of here?" Milim inquired.

"We made the entrance in the Great Jura Forest like 200 years ago," Yuki explained.

"Huh? Really nya?" Nekra responded.

"Yeah... right after it was made, like 100,000 orcs came in," Yuki added with a nod.

"So that's what happened to that orc lord..." Milim mused.

"Nya?" Nekra tilted her head in confusion.

"Ah, it's nothing much, just a small army disappearing," Milim casually remarked.

Nekra nodded in understanding.

"Wait... Nekra, have you grown?" Yuki asked, a little shocked.

"Have I nya?" Nekra replied excitedly.

Nekra was now slightly shorter than Milim and around the same height as Yuki.

Milim and Yuki exchanged nods, both noticing the change in height.

"Yuki, I think we both grew," Nekra said.

"So, uh, Safi? How do you plan on getting out?" Milim asked.

Suddenly, the giant Safi Jiiva shrunk down to the size of a teddy bear, and Safi picked it up.

"Like this," Safi said, holding the metallic dragon.

"That's a neat trick," Milim remarked.

"What is that?" Yuki asked.

"Pym particles, they can make objects shrink and grow, then with magic, we can lessen the weight nya," Nekra explained excitedly.

"That's cool," Yuki said, having no clue what she was talking about.

"Can you make cookies bigger?" Milim asked.

"Yes, but they wouldn't actually be more food nya," Nekra explained.

Milim seemed to be broken trying to decipher that statement.

"Let's go see Uncle Veldora nyow," Nekra said as she instinctively started heading towards the Jura Forest exit.

"It's grown a lot in the past 200 years nya," Nekra commented as they approached.

"Yep, however, everything is the same," Yuki said as she pushed open the giant iron door.

'Hey Sage, it's like 1 year to the plot, how long till he is born?' Nekra asked.

(Sage: 2 months)

"What happens in 2 months?" Yuki asked.

"Something amazing nya," Nekra replied with her cute smile.

"Uncle! We are here!" Nekra shouted into the cave.

"I'm hearing voices again," a deep voice replied.

"Nya! Uncle Veldora?" Nekra shouted, arriving to see him in the cage.

"Nekra, is that you? I thought that werecat didn't live that long," Veldora said.

"I was also a vampire, but now I'm a Nekoshou," Nekra explained.

"That's a long-extinct race, little girl. In fact, it's the reason the werecats went extinct because the Nekoshou scared a lot of people, my older brother included," Veldora recalled.

"Nya? How so?" Nekra asked.

"Because they were some of the first true demon lords," Veldora explained, thinking back.

"We brought anime and snacks!" Milim announced as she walked in.

"So, you are my brother's daughter. You look so much like Lucia," Veldora remarked, somewhat narrowing his eyes.

"You knew my mom?" Milim asked.

"I never... So what anime did you bring this time?" Veldora asked, adopting his tsundere attitude trying to distract from the current discussion.

"Jojo!" Milim exclaimed excitedly.

"We are rewatching that again?" Nekra questioned.

"It's really good," Yuki chimed in.

"I can agree," Safi added.

"Uhh, who are you?" Veldora asked the girl holding a small dragon.

"I am Safi Mommy's daughter," Safi introduced herself.

"Interesting... you feel like a dragon though?" Veldora observed.

"Wait, she actually became a real dragon?" Nekra asked excitedly.

"Not a true dragon, but maybe an ancient one," Veldora confirmed.

"Congratulations, Safi," Yuki said, patting her head.

"Yay," Safi replied with a smile, feeling proud of her mothers accomplishments and her new found status.

Chapter 26
"One week to go, nya," Nekra said excitedly as she played Rollercoaster Tycoon 2.

"What happened again?" Milim asked, sipping a can of soda.

"It's a thing from her oracle skill," Yuki explained.

"Ah, messing with the future is dangerous, you know?" Milim remarked, causing Nekra to stare awkwardly at her.

"You already did, didn't you.... oh well," Milim said knowingly, aware that Nekra had already altered the timeline.

In a separate window, an army of orcs continued to grow larger.

=====================

Meanwhile, inside a cave, a certain dragon's POV.

"Oh! I think I found the slime! I found her, yes!" Veldora thought happily.

"Can you hear me, small one?" Veldora asked, his voice booming through the cave, but the slime didn't seem to move.

"I guess not then," Veldora said, slumping a little before realizing he hadn't tried telepathy.

"'Can you hear me, small one?'" Veldora asked.

"'Oi, I know you can hear me!'" Veldora exclaimed, not seeming desperate whatsoever. (Sarcasm)

===========================

"Oh? A powerful person just entered the dungeon," Yuki remarked.

"Really!?" Milim asked excitedly, sitting up.

"Milim onee-sama, don't you have a territory to watch?" Nekra reminded her.

"Ah!" Milim exclaimed, quickly running out.

"It was that easy to get rid of her?" Yuki asked, somewhat amazed.

"Freedom!" Safi exclaimed, no longer being hugged by Milim, only to be picked up by Nekra.

"So, the new visitor?" Yuki asked.

"Ah, right," Nekra said, keeping Safi in her lap as she opened up the window on the computer.

"A dryad?" Nekra asked.

"Yeah..." Yuki said, confused.

"She's really far from her birth tree, isn't she, nya?" Nekra noted.

"Let's go see then," Nekra said as they appeared in the dungeon corridor.

=======================

"So if we could lead the orcs here like last time," Treyni said.

"Treynya, Welcome," a voice greeted her.

Treyni turned around to see a cat girl.

"Do I know you?" Treyni asked.

"No, but what's a dryad doing so far from her tree, nya?" Nekra asked, tilting her head.

"You know a lot about our kind...." Treyni said, somewhat worried.

"So why are you in my labyrinth?" Nekra inquired.

"We were going to try and lead the massive orc army here again," Treyni admitted, looking away a little ashamed.

"That's fine, but why don't you go look for the person releasing that aura, nya?" Nekra suggested.

"Why?" Treyni asked.

"Because don't you think they would make a great ruler of the forest?" Nekra asked, tilting her head.

"I will observe them," Treyni agreed, wondering why a being as powerful as the cat girl in front of her would want to hand control of the forest over to a random monster that is probably weaker than her.

=======================

'When should I introduce myself to Auntie Rimaru?' Nekra wondered to herself as she watched the slime completely destroy monsters under Uncle Veldora's cave on the screen.

"Yuki?" Nekra asked, her eyes suddenly covered by someone.

"Nekra, you have been watching this screen for weeks. What happened to my little cat who likes to take naps?" Yuki asked.

yawn

"It's been a week, nya?" Nekra said.

"Yes, it has..." Yuki confirmed as she shifted Nekra over to her lap and started petting her.

"purr that's why I felt so purr thirsty, nya," Nekra said as she tiredly leaned against Yuki's body.

"Well, I aim to please, my master," Yuki said, looking at the girl she was holding.

Nekra nodded as she struggled to keep her eyes open.

"Fufufufu, she may be a vampire, but the cat's laziness always wins out," Yuki thought, petting the sleeping Nekra.

Chapter 27
"Morning nya." Nekra says her eyes fluttering as she wakes up with a yawn.

"Say Nekra wanna go to dwargon?" Yuki asks wanting to get out of the dungeon abit.

"Sure nya." Nekra says excited wondering if she will get to see Auntie Rimuru there.

"Are we going somewhere?" Safi asks holding the small dragon version of herself.

==================

Meanwhile outside the gate of Dwargon.

"This is quite a line huh?" A slime says as he hops up to the entrance with a goblin.

"They must be strict with checking everyone." Rimuru says

"Once we are inside we can move around as we please, though." Gobuta says

"As we please Huh?" Rimuru says going into its thoughts again.

"Hey! Hey, hey, hey!" Mob number 1 says

"What's a couple of monsters doing here?" Mob number 2 asks

===================

A few hours later Nekra, Yuki, and Safi arrive at the gate.

"What happened here?" Safi asks

"Yeah it's emptier than last time." Yuki says

"Yuki the last time was several hundred years ago nya." Nekra says

Yuki nods.

The trio walk up to the gate.

"Hey, we wanna enter." Safi says

"Do you have any form of identification?" The dwarf guard asks

"Ah right..." Nekra says as she fishes out her old adventure card.

"Uhhh..." the dwarf guard says not really sure what to say.

"What nya?" Nekra asks

"this card is ancient." The guard says

"Really nya?" Nekra asks with a head tilt.

"It should be fine you are good to go." The guard says absentmindedly.

'Charm skill is amazing.' Nekra thinks.

"So what happened out here earlier?" Safi asks

"Oh uhhh, a big powerful monster came by I fought it but had to get new pants from the damage." The guard says

"Uh Huh." Yuki says as they walk in.

"There's an armorsaurus in the mines!" A guard shouts running up to the guard post.

Suddenly several dwarfs are seen grabbing weapons and running out of the barracks by the entrance.

"I wanna get my sword and bracers maintained nya." Nekra says

"Ah, isn't the shop we had them made at just down here?" Yuki asks

"Mother? Can't you maintain them yourself?" Safi asks

"I wanna see an old friend you should recognize them too." Nekra says somewhat cryptically to Safi.

Nekra walks up to the shop and knocks on the door.

"Yellow Nya? Is anyone here? I'm fairly certain I bought my gear from this shop years ago and wish to have it maintained." Nekra says opening the door to see a dwarf hammering always at a magisteel sword.

"Huh?" Kaijin says looking up.

"Ah it's you!" Kaijin shouts recognizing Nekra.

"Yeah I wanted to have my bracers and Gladius looked at by a professional blacksmith to see if they were maintained properly." Nekra says

"No you are the cat girl from the dungeon." Kaijin says

"So no?" Nekra asks

"Ah that's what I meant sure I could spare a few minutes while I'm waiting for the brothers to get back with the ore." Kaijin says

Nekra pulls her gladius out of thin air.

"This sword... it's very similar to one in a story my father told me." Kaijin says

"... it was about 200 years ago Sooo." Yuki says with a nod.

"You dwarves live a longer life than humans?" Safi asks

"We are on our third king Gazel and he is 300." Kaijin says.

"...."

"Say Yuki... you don't think?" Nekra asks

"It couldn't be." Yuki says

"I still remember trying to teach that boy magic." Nekra says

"He learned rather well." Yuki says

"True..." Nekra says

"The Sword was really well kept." Kaijin says

"The bracers could use some work and have a few knicks in them." Kaijin says

"Eh? I don't remember oh wait yeah...." Nekra says remembering Safi sending a laser into them to see if they would survive. Amazing they blocked it.

Suddenly 3 brothers walk in.

"So how was it?" Kaijin asks the brothers as he is working on the bracers.

"We were kinda attacked by a armorsaurus." Garm says rubbing his head awkwardly.

Kaijin drops his hammer and looks up.

"At least you three seem fine." He says with a breath of relief.

"Yeah apparently a slime gave the guard an amazing healing potion." Dord says

"Hmm hmmm." Myrd says

"He Kinda wanted to meet a black smith." Garm says

"You should meet him nya." Nekra says

Suddenly the three brothers look at the cat girl like they did the elves.

"Perverts! stay away from momma!" Safi shouts holding the dragon plushie look alike.

"I just noticed but is she the dragon?" Kaijin asks

"Hehehe, maybe." Yuki says horrible at lying.

Nekra face palms.

The three brothers and Kaijin look somewhat scared.

"Anyaway if you are bringing the slime here we have to go nya. It isn't our time to meet yet." Nekra says

"What does that mean?" Kaijin asks

"You will find out Nya." Nekra says leaving with Yuki and Safi.

Chapter 28
"So, where to next?" Yuki asked.

"I don't know exactly, nya," Nekra replied when suddenly they heard a woman shout, "Cute!"

Nekra's head snapped up to see an elf directly in front of them, running towards them.

"Hi, nya?" Nekra said, confused.

"Can you sing?" the elf asked. Nekra nodded, and suddenly, all three of them found themselves being dragged towards a bar called "Butterflies of the Night."

=====================

"How did we end up here, nya?" Nekra asked as all three of them were getting a makeover from the elves.

"I don't know, but I like this dress," Yuki said.

"There are bows on my tails, nya," Nekra observed.

"So, what do you want me to do?" Nekra asked.

"Well, can you sing up on our stage?" an elf asked.

"I guess, nya," Nekra said.

"Mommas, I can play an instrument," Safi said.

"Which one?" Yuki asked.

"A guitar," Safi replied.

"What is that?" Yuki asked.

"Okay, nya, here," Nekra said, pulling one out of seemingly nowhere, though she used a crafting skill to turn a log into one in her space magic.

=================

"You know what song to play, right, nya?" Nekra asked.

Safi nodded and started strumming the guitar.

[Welcome to the Universe (unplugged) - by Mega Nrg Man]

"This one's for you, Yuki, nya...

I can see the laser line
between your black-white eyes
tonight you get me to your dreams
come on, rock this night for real.

Moving on and sing this crazy song.
I feel that she'll blow my mind, by my side.

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the universe.
Welcome to dream, welcome to my world
baby, you light my fire.

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the universe.
Welcome to dream, welcome to my world,
welcome to the Universe.

Got the power of my soul,
this is my heartbeat for your love,
you get me to the game above
to the dance for love.

Moving on and singing this crazy song.
I feel that she'll blow my mind, by my side.

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Universe.
Welcome to dreams, welcome to my world,
baby, you light my fire.

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the universe.
Welcome to dream, welcome to my world,
welcome to the universe."

The guitar solo kicked in, and the song ended with all the elves in the establishment clapping. Suddenly, the door opened, and four dwarfs and a slime walked in.

(A/N: That sounds like the start of a joke, I know.)

"Oh, Kaijin! How nice to see you!" an elf said.

"""Welcome!"""

"Oh, how cute!" another elf shouted, running up to Rimuru.

"Hey! I had my eye on it first!" another elf protested.

Nekra just nodded at Safi as she began to play another song using her dragon body's speaker to cheat a bit.

[That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Opening]

"Something bigger than a tale of fiction that nobody knows.
I will write another page that doesn't have a name.

I looked above to see tomorrow shining with hope.
Don't know what it's called - I'm stuck in my dull routine.
That future taunts me with a life that I never have known.
Try to touch it, but it's just outta my reach.

Carving out the shapes that make the wishes in our hearts.
Stronger now, shout it loud, shout it proud - fly high!
Turning over to a side of fiction that no one knows.
I'll keep following this instinct till I've sprouted the skills to stay alive!

If the things that I'm feeling are real at all proving I was really alive all along.
Yeah again, and again, till I'm done.
I'm gonna name you all!

To the East, to the West, way up high.
Stand up to the period! Onward!"

Nekra started dancing again before the song continued.

===========

Several songs later

cough

"Yuki, nya, water please, nya," Nekra said, realizing her tick seemed to be worse from holding it back while singing.

===============

Rimuru's point of view.

'This place is amazing, all the elves. They even have a cat girl singing.'

(Sage: Warning, subject is dangerous.)

'Her? Really? She looks like a cute cat girl. What could she possibly be?' Rimuru thought just before he was pulled out of his thoughts.

"Mister slime, are you ready?" the dark-skinned elf said.

'Eh, yeah! Oh, wait, she meant fortune-telling.'

"So, what kind of reading can you do?" Rimuru asked.

"Well... what would you like?" she asked.

"How about the person he's destined to be with?" the elf with Rimuru in her lap suggested.

"Oh, that's a good idea!" the dark-skinned elf said.

"Alright, here I go!" she said, moving her hands over Rimuru like the slime was a crystal ball.

"Oh, I can't see anything," the dark-skinned elf said, and everyone else giggled.

"Alright, for real this time," she said, moving her hands over the crystal ball.

'Could there actually be a person I'm destined to be with? Maybe it's actually a slime I'm destined to be with.'

"Oh, I see something," the elf said.

Suddenly, there was the outline of a dragon before it changed to a woman with black hair.

'She sorta looked Japanese,' Rimuru thought.

"That was one pretty girl," Kaijin said.

'So, what was that about the cat girl?' Rimuru asked Great Sage when suddenly alcohol was poured on him.

"Oi! What was that for!" Rimuru said, not having heard any of the original conversation about magical sword delivery because he was distracted.

Kaijin suddenly stood up and punched Vesta.

"Nya? When did you two become enemies?" the mysterious cat girl asked.

===========

Nekra, after taking her sip of water, just took a break, sitting in an empty booth in Yuki's lap.

"I kinda wanna try that crystal ball thing, nya. But it's useless, nya," Nekra said.

"Why is that?" Yuki asked.

"Because Yuki is my destined one, nya," Nekra said, kissing her.

Meanwhile, up on stage, Safi was still playing music.

"Oh, it's Vesta, nya," Nekra said, seeing the man enter the bar.

"Kaijin, did you finish the delivery?" Vesta asked in an overly obnoxious way.

"Yes, I did. Do you wanna see the invoice?" Kaijin asked.

"Nya? I swore those two were friends ten years ago, nya," Nekra said, snuggling up against Yuki.

Nekra watched as Vesta poured alcohol on Rimuru.

"I should go say something," Nekra whispered, getting up.

"Nya? When did you two become enemies?" Nekra asked, appearing a foot away from where Vesta landed.

"It's you?" Vesta asked.

"I, nya. I haven't seen you in 10 years, and that's the first thing you say, nya?" Nekra asked.

Suddenly, guards stormed in and attempted to arrest everyone, but Vesta made a signal to stop when they went for Nekra, Yuki, and the elves. As for Safi, her passive charm mixed with her dragon intimidation kept most of the guards away from her, though they didn't know why.

Chapter 29
Gazel's heart raced as he stood before the imposing entrance of the dungeon, his hands trembling with a mixture of excitement and apprehension. He had heard tales of the wonders and dangers that lay within, stories of ancient magic and untold treasures waiting to be discovered. Afterall his Sensi told him so, and what a better way was there to test ones skills than combat. The dungeon would certainly help him with that.
With a deep breath, Gazel stepped into the cool shadows of the dungeon, his senses immediately assaulted by the musty scent of damp earth and the eerie silence that hung heavy in the air. As he ventured deeper into the labyrinthine corridors, Gazel's footsteps echoed softly against the cold stone floor, the sound a constant reminder drowning out the eerie silence. Suddenly the echo of footsteps seemed to double up.

Spinning on his heel he was able to catch a blade swinging down towards his head in the corner of his eye, Instinctively, Gazel threw himself to the side, narrowly avoiding the deadly strike. His heart pounded in his chest as he scrambled to his feet, adrenaline coursing through his veins.

"So this must be one of those golems." Gazel mutters swinging his sword, the blade commencing a deadly arch slicing clear through the stone solder.

But before Gazel could catch his breath, another golem emerged from the shadows, its eyes glowing with malevolent intent as it lumbered towards him, and then another and another. Eventually looking around Gazel was fully surrounded by the golems.

With a surge of adrenaline coursing through his veins, Gazel let out a primal roar of determination, his voice echoing off the dungeon walls as he charged headlong into the fray. The remaining golems, undeterred by their fallen comrades, turned their attention to the young mage, their eyes glowing with renewed malice as they advanced.

As Gazel clashed with the golems, the air crackled with the sound of steel meeting stone. His sword flashed in the dim light, striking out with precision and speed as he sought to dismantle his stone adversaries one by one. Yet, for every golem he defeated, two more seemed to take its place, their numbers overwhelming and relentless.

Despite his best efforts, Gazel found himself pushed to the brink of exhaustion, his muscles burning with fatigue as he fought to keep the encroaching horde at bay. Sweat trickled down his brow, mingling with the dust and grime of the dungeon floor as he battled on, his breath coming in ragged gasps.

But even as his strength waned, Gazel refused to yield. With each swing of his sword and every thrust of his sword a golem was slain, although Gazel felt the toll of battle weighing heavily upon him. His limbs felt like lead, his breaths coming in shallow gasps as he struggled to keep pace with the relentless onslaught. The golems seemed to sense his weakening as they continued to arrive in an endless onslaught.

As Gazel struggled against the overwhelming onslaught of the golems, his mind racing with desperation, a sudden shift in the air caught his attention. Before he could fully comprehend what was happening, a cloaked figure descended from above, their cloak billowing dramatically as they landed almost soundlessly on the ground.

Gazel's eyes widened in astonishment as he beheld the mysterious newcomer, their presence both unexpected and strangely comforting amidst the chaos of battle. Without hesitation, the cloaked figure uttered a single word in a voice that carried a hint of magic and power.

"Chain Lightning, nya."

In an instant, bolts of crackling electricity erupted from the figure's outstretched hand, arcing through the air with lethal precision. Gazel watched in awe as the lightning danced between the golems, striking them down with a force that seemed almost otherworldly.

The golems faltered under the onslaught, their stone bodies crackling and sizzling as they succumbed to the powerful magic. Gazel exhausted fell to his knees his gaze on the figure.

"Please teach me!" Gazel shouts as darkness over takes him and he manages to catch a glimps of his saviors face.

Chapter 30
Nekra is currently up in the stands, watching the sham trial as it unfolds.

"I will now state the verdict. The principal offender, Kaijin, is sentenced to 20 years of forced labor in the min-" However, the judge is cut off, and suddenly passes out. All of the guards in the room ready their spears.

"I was going to say 'wait a minute,' but it seems someone seems to have stepped in for me... Anyway, it's been awhile, Kaijin. Have you been well?" King Gazel asks.

Suddenly, everyone being judged drops to one knee.

"Yes, your majesty. I am relieved to find you in good health, as well," Kaijin answers.

"Kaijin, have you any interest in returning to my ranks?" Gazel asks.

There is a long awkward silence.

"Forgive me, your majesty, but I have already found my master. My sworn oath is my greatest treasure. I shall never part with this, even if it is under your order, your majesty," Kaijin says, glancing at Rimuru.

"Insolence!" A guard shouts before he, too, suddenly passes out.

"I see," Gazel says.

"I shall pass judgment. Kaijin and his companions are to be exiled. That concludes my verdict. Out of my sight at once," Gazel says as the group leaves the room. He seems a little sad.

"Now then, Vesta, is there anything you wish to say?" Gazel says.

"Y-your majesty... I... w-well..." Vesta stammers.

"It's unfortunate. I have lost a loyal retainer," Gazel says.

"How can you say such a thing, Kaijin? That man did not swear loyalty to you," Vesta says.

"Vesta..." Gazel says, glancing at a pillar.

"Teacher, you can come out now," Gazel says.

"Are you sure, nya? That was mildly infuriating, you know, nya. Your minister almost made an enemy even your country couldn't afford to make, nya," Nekra says, appearing.

"Do you understand now, Vesta? The retainer I lost was you," Gazel says.

"To think that small boy I taught so many years ago would become king, nya," Nekra says with Yuki and Safi standing behind her.

"Vesta... do you even understand the mistake you have made... if my teacher here says that, based on what she knows, then it's probably even more than me," Gazel says.

"Wait... you were..." Vesta says, recognizing Nekra from the dungeon and the bar.

"Gazel, you made the best possible choice. Once that slime forms a country, you could ally with it and get Kaijin and the three brothers' skills once again. Not to mention that country is going to be a technological powerhouse, nya," Nekra says.

"Ah, right... Teacher's skill. That slime must be destined for great things," Gazel says.

Nekra nods.

"You have no idea, nya," Nekra says as Vesta is escorted out.

"Wait, nya, explain the potion to him, nya," Nekra says.

"Oh? He plays an important role still? I guess my high hopes weren't too far off then," Gazel says as he pulls out a bottle.

"Vesta, do you know what this is in the bottle?" Gazel asks.

"It's a recovery potion, your majesty," Vesta says.

"No, it is a full potion, a draught of complete recovery, made from hipokute herbs," Gazel says.

"That isn't possible even with all of our technology. At most we could maybe get lucky and get a 98% recovery. How is this possible?" Vesta asks.

"We got it from that slime. Your actions have severely damaged our relationship with that slime... if it wasn't for my teacher here, I wouldn't even know it was salvageable for probably a long while," Gazel says.

"So tell me, Vesta, is there anything you wish to say?" Gazel says.

"I have nothing to say, your majesty," Vesta says as he slumps down, crying.

================

After the room is cleared out.

"So, teacher... any advice?" Gazel asks Nekra.

"I still can't believe you became king," Yuki says.

"Well, I didn't expect to run into you two after the ogre dropped me off in front of the dungeon, telling me to get stronger after training me in the way of the sword," Gazel says with a slight laugh.

"Anyway, if you wanted advice, you are going to need to wait until after that slime kills the orc lord invading the forest soon, nya," Nekra says.

Gazel flinches. "An orc lord," he says.

"Yeah, nya, it's gathering its forces now. A demon lord got bored and wanted to make another demon lord, so it created a disaster orc lord, and well, I forget, nya," Nekra says with a head tilt.

"So after that?" Gazel asks.

"Nya, it is after that, that his goblin village becomes the capital of the Jura forest alliance, which is officiated by dryads," Nekra says.

Gazel just nods, knowing that whenever teacher talks, he gets a headache.

"Who's the other girl?" Gazel asks to distract her.

"Hi! I'm Safi! Momma's daughter," Safi says as she gets a head pat from Nekra, and Yuki smiles brilliantly.

"Congratulations, you two," Gazel says.

"She's not our biological daughter... wait, technically she is," Yuki says, going deep into thought.

"So what's with that dragon doll you're holding?" Gazel asks.

"Ah, this is my main body. I have to keep it close to maintain a human form," Safi says as the dragon waves one of its paws.

Gazel just feels the headache get even stronger.

"Are you a real dragon? If you don't mind me asking," Gazel says.

"Yes and no, I'm a fully magically mechanical dragon," Safi says.

Gazel looks at his teacher.

"What wouldn't I give to have you as one of my scientists," Gazel says, looking at Nekra.

"I plan on working with the slime in the future, nya. With your alliance, you should share technology, nya," Nekra says.

"Really! Maybe I can finally have a, what was it called, a Silhouette Knight," Gazel says.

He may have seen some anime.

Chapter 31
Yuki expresses her confusion, "I still don't understand why you are doing this," she says.

"Because it broke," Nekra replies.

"What broke?" Safi inquires.

"Don't act like you don't know, Safi nya. Can you please refrain from using my sword as a toothpick next time nya," Nekra requests as she begins to melt down her gladius.

"But it worked," Safi counters with a smile.

"What did you have stuck between your teeth nya? You don't need to eat," Nekra questions.

"Rust... yes, rust," Safi admits.

Nekra eyes her skeptically.

"Do I want to know, dear daughter nya?" Nekra asks.

Safi shakes her head no.

Nekra nods.

"Well, nya, I'm going to be in the workshop for a while nya," Nekra says, closing the door.

"So, what do you want to do now, Momma Yuki?" Safi asks.

In truth Yuki had grown taller as well. It was an over night thing much like Nekra, although they were not 6ft tall Yuki stood at a comfortable 5' 7" while Nekra was a little shorter being 5' 2" which was just ever so slightly shorter than the female adventurers.

"We could always go terrorize some adventurers," Yuki suggests.

"Those three look like good targets," Safi says, eyeing a ninja, a female mage, and a male swordsman. They're the Kaval party.

"Seems good," Yuki agrees as Safi suddenly teleports into the room in front of them before increasing the size of her dragon body.

"Why didn't we take that quest to the Jura forest again?" Eren asks.

"Because we could just kill a few iron golems and get a lot more money," Gido reasons.

Kaval opens the door to see a giant dragon.

"Welcome, humans. Do you wanna have a bad time?" Safi asks as several dragon-like heads float behind her, charging some sort of energy attack.

Eren closes the massive iron door extremely quickly.

"So, Jura forest?" Gido suggests.

The other two nod as they start to run back towards the entrance.

"So I really can't get you to enter the dungeon again?" Fuze asks.

"Not in a million years," Shizue says.

"Guild leader! We will take that Jura forest quest!" Eren shouts, bursting into the office still shaking with slight fear.

"Really? Well, I was about to give it to..." Fuze starts.

"Shizu," Shizue interjects.

"Shizu here," Fuze confirms.

Why the flame monarch wants to hide her rank and importance is not something he would understand although maybe in a few years he would.

"Can we will do it with you? Please, we don't wanna go back into the dungeon," Gido adds.

Shizue looks at all of them and nods in understanding.

"Joint quest then?" Shizue proposes.

Fuze just sighs. How is the dungeon that scary? Just don't go near the dragon and you're good.
==================================================
Nekra's workshop was a chaotic scene of bubbling crucibles and scattered tools, each surface bearing the marks of her fervent endeavors.

"So many choices nya," Nekra mutters amidst the organized chaos, her brow furrowed in concentration, as she meticulously tended to the various crucibles scattered across the workshop. Each crucible contained a different ore, ranging from mundane metals to rare, otherworldly alloys.

"So I need to go with an alloy nya," Nekra continued, her tone thoughtful as she considered her options. "Let's stick to mythical metal as well nya."

he carefully inserted the ingot into one of the crucibles, the molten metal accepting it eagerly as she surveyed the workshop. Her hand remained submerged in the crucible, holding down the metal bar which wished to float atop the adamantium goblin silver being a much lighter metal.

Nekra watched the enchanted steal refuse to yield to the searing heat of the crucible although her hand was much the same way holding the bar down unprotected. However, the fact that the bar was not melting was an annoyance.

"This could be an issue nya," Nekra mutters.
==================================================
Several days later.

Yuki and Safi were sitting in the "living room" discussing defense strategy to defend the dungeon.
"What kind of sword do you think she is making?" Safi asks.

"I don't know, it's probably something insane," Yuki says as they are watching Fate/Stay Night.

"I'm done nya!" Nekra shouts as she comes out holding a sword which seems to be glowing with magical power.

"That sword feels dangerous," Safi says and Yuki nods.

"Of course it is, I also had to make it a gladius like my other sword. I also made a shield to go along with it nya," Nekra says, pulling out a vibranium shield.
=========================================================
The Great Jura Forest sprawled across the landscape like a verdant tapestry woven by the hands of nature herself. Towering ancient trees, their gnarled branches reaching towards the heavens, formed a dense canopy overhead, casting dappled shadows upon the forest floor below.

It was in this seemingly peaceful environment that a should rang out.

"Why are there so many ants!" Eren shouts.

"Just keep running," Gido advises.

Kaval nods along as Shizue is doing amazing acrobatic maneuvers behind them, slaying the killer ants as they got to close.

After what felt like hours running the ants eventually stopped giving chase the last of which having just been slain.

The party stops running. "Well done," Eren says to Shizue.

Suddenly, the ant that was thought dead in a burst of energy rises from the ground too close to use any large AOE attacks and it would catch them if they tried to run.

Shizue gets in a battle stance falling to her knees only to realize that she has hit her limit.

As she collapses, a black bolt of lightning descends from the sky and strikes the ant durning it to dust.

Chapter 32
"Nya? Sage, what do you think of my weapon, nya?" Nekra inquires, referencing a skill she rarely utilizes.

(Sage: Skill is Great Sage. Please stop referring to me as Sage.)

"Nya?! When did that happen?" Nekra asks, shocked.

(Great Sage: When you became a demon lord. Your knowledge skill also became omniscient.) the robotic voice responds, less enthused.

"Nya?! Knowledge could evolve!" Nekra shouts, surprised.

(Great Sage: Maybe you should turn notifications on.) Sage says sarcastically.

"Nekra, shush. Safi is sleeping," Yuki interjects, cuddling with the cat girl a bit more and pulling Nekra into her embrace.

Both eventually drift off to sleep.

Meanwhile, in the Jura Forest, an epic battle unfolds between a fire spirit and a slime, giant pillars of flame shooting up into the air.

"That cat girl was right... maybe the slime can be trusted," Treyni muses, watching cautiously from far back in the treeline.

The next day arrives.

"Oh no, I overslept, nya," Nekra exclaims before realizing Shizue has passed peacefully. Saving her would've been a bit mean; she deserved to rest and did not need to fight any longer.

"So you didn't get to add another member to Uncle Veldora's harem?" Yuki teases.

"Shush! He doesn't know about that yet, nya," Nekra responds.

"I mean, all the girls that are with Auntie Rimuru... I wonder what they will do when they find out Rimuru's gender," Yuki ponders.
=====================================================
Meanwhile, on the next day...

"I finally got a human form..." Rimuru starts before suddenly going silent.

Rimuru turned and lookt towards the mirror "W-what!" Rimuru exclaims, turning back into the round ball via mimicry.

'I need clothes,' Rimuru thinks.

"Rimuru-sama, are you okay!? We heard yelling," Rigurd asks as he bursts through the tent.

"All is fine Rigurd," Rimuru responds
========================

"These clothes seem fine," Rimuru says as they stare into the full body mirror wearing a massive blue coat.

"Maybe I should go for a walk in the forest," Rimuru suggests.

"Ah, I will go check out the old cave," Rimuru says, hitting their fist into the palm of their hand.

With that they made their way out of the new home, the village was making progress however it was slow with how little workers they had.

The Jura forest suddenly swallowed the sky as Rimuru left the clearing that the village called home, the canopy shading the path Rimuru walked for a while, the forest enveloping them in its tranquil embrace. The path meandered through the ancient trees, their gnarled branches reaching out like protective arms overhead. Sunlight filtered through the dense canopy, casting shifting patterns of light and shadow on the forest floor.

As Rimuru continued on their journey, a strange sensation began to prick at the edges of their consciousness. It was a subtle tingling, a faint whisper of magic.

"What in the world is that? Great Sage, any clue?" Rimuru asks turning towards the feeling.

Meanwhile, out in the Jura Forest...

"This place is nice," Safi remarks.

Suddenly, a bush rustles, and a short girl? with blue hair steps out.

"Uh, hi. Are you lost, little girl?" Rimuru asks Safi.

"I don't think so?" Safi responds with a head tilt.

"Well, you can't be in this forest alone. Why don't you come with me?" Rimuru offers.

"Sure!" Safi says with an excited smile.

(Great Sage: Charm resisted.)

'I'm sorry, what was that, Sage?' Rimuru thinks, still captivated by Safi's cute face.

"Nekra, wake up! Safi is gone!" Yuki shouts, no longer feeling their daughter's presence in the dungeon.

"Nya! We need to go find her, nya," Nekra says, her eyes snapping awake.

Chapter 33
Rimuru was stuck in thought wondering where the lost girl had come from when the slime heard Gobuta scream off in the distance, it did not sound good. Said scream was shortly followed by a communication from Ranga.

"I gotta go, are you coming?" Rimuru asks the girl, noticing she's holding what appears to be a dragon plushie.

Both of them start running through the forest, eager to catch up to the goblin hunting party.

Rimuru remains disguised with the mask.

As they arrive in a clearing, Safi mutters, "A samurai?" but her voice carries.

"I'm gonna die!" Gobuta exclaims, his fear palpable.

"Quiet down, it's not that deep of a cut," Rimuru reassures, healing him and the other goblins.

Glancing briefly at Safi, Rimuru's senses pick up on a sudden surge of hostile intent behind them. Without hesitation, they pivot, just in time to witness the clash between Ranga and two more ogres, their weapons meeting Ranga mid air.

Rimuru ran forwards to help when a barrier of blazing blue flames erupts around the ogres, encasing them in a protective shield.

"Hi?" Safi says, having snuck up on the one wearing a pink kimono.

The girl jumps in fright and the barrier falls.

"Master, sorry this happened while I was here," Ranga says to Rimuru.

Meanwhile, the sound of metal creaking and clanking is heard, causing Safi to shudder.

They look over to see a purple-haired ogre wielding her mace against Rigur, whose sword snaps under the assault.

"That's actually scary," Safi remarks.

"Rimuru-sama, I'm sorry," Rigur says as he collapses, about to be finished off by the mace.

"Don't worry, leave it to me," Rimuru says, swiftly binding the purple-haired Ogre in wires and administering some healing potion to Rigur.

"So, why are you all fighting?" Safi asks, while the pink-haired girl stares her down.

"Oi, I'm sorry, I don't know what my people did," Rimuru says, while the two girls continue their standoff.

Safi just smiles at the pink-haired one.

"Would you be willing to talk this out?" Rimuru asks.

"Show us who you really are, evil Majin!" the soon-to-be Benimaru shouts out.

"Hey, what did you just call me?" Rimuru asks, genuinely confused.

"Enslaving monsters is not a feat any human can accomplish," the redhead asserts.

"B-brother!" the pink-haired one shouts.

He turns around to see Safi standing right behind him.

"Hi," Safi says.

==================================

"Where the hell is Safi!" Yuki shouts, her concern evident.

"Did we ever teach her stranger danger, nya?" Nekra asks.

Yuki pales slightly.

"Safi was kidnapped!" Yuki shouts, immediately assuming the worst.

"I got it, I will teleport myself to her, nya," Nekra says, charging magical power in a panic.

=====================================

Safi was standing besides Rimuru
"Hey, listen, guys..." Rimuru begins, attempting to diffuse the tension.

"We have no intention of listening to you. That mask tells us everything we need to know," the redheaded ogre retorts.

"The mask? Wait a minute! Aren't you making some kind of mistake?" Rimuru asks, puzzled by the accusation.

Suddenly, a sword is drawn and pointed at them, while one of them tries to take Safi hostage. However, Safi surprises everyone by transforming into particles of what seems to be dust in her captor's hands, only to reform elsewhere with her dragon plushie by her side.

"Eh?" Future Shione shouts in shock.

'Is she also a slime with a human form? No, that doesn't make sense,' Rimuru ponders.

"Ranga, take care of the pink one, but don't kill her," Rimuru whispers to the ogre.

"Right," Ranga acknowledges.

Suddenly, there's a burst of magic power in the ground in front of them.

"Oh no, mom's coming," Safi says, realizing she snuck out.

A cat girl appears, wearing a white dress, her two tails swaying behind her.

"Nya, Safi, what are you doing here?" Nekra asks, sweeping the girl up in her arms.

"I was exploring and ran into Auntie Rimuru," Safi says with a smile.

"sigh You go out, you need to tell me or Yuki, okay?" Nekra scolds gently, before the two of them disappear from their spot.

"She was strong..." the redheaded ogre remarks.

"It was her again?" Rimuru questions, having seen that cat girl too many times for it to be a coincidence.

"Are we calmed down?" Rimuru inquires.

The redheaded ogre nods, having lost all intent to fight when Nekra showed up and then disappeared.

'Why did she call me Auntie Rimuru?' Rimuru wonders.

(Great Sage: Answer, I cannot tell you. Never mind.)

'Wait, why?' Rimuru asks.

(Great Sage: I was specifically told not to, I was even bribed, would you believe it?) The Great Sage says, with a voice that sounds similar to abridged Alucard.

"Don't you ever go wandering off again," Yuki says, hugging Safi tightly the moment Nekra brings her home.

Chapter 34
"Are you ready to watch a war, nya?" Nekra asks as she sits at the dungeon computer.

"Mom, can I go help them?" Safi asks.

"It's fine, nya. They won't need help, nya," Nekra says.

Meanwhile, on the screen, Gabiru is seen leading lizards poorly.

"He really can't fight, nya," Nekra comments, observing the screen.

On another window, Rimuru is seen on Ranga riding into battle.

"Fine, nya," Nekra says, standing up.

"What?" Safi asks.

"I'm going to go help them, nya," Nekra says.

"The lizards?" Safi asks.

"Nyo, just watch the monitors," Nekra says as she disappears.

Meanwhile, a group rushes through the forest on wolfback.

"Stop!" Rimuru shouts, sensing something approaching. All wolves halt as a cat girl appears in front of them.

"It's the same cat girl I've seen everywhere. Is she stalking me?" Rimuru wonders.

"Hello, nya. Do you want any help, nya? You could imagine my surprise when I found out this war was another demon lord encroaching on my territory, nya," Nekra says.

'She's a demon lord? Her territory? I thought the dryads and Veldora ran the forest,' Rimuru thinks.

"I will take all the help I could get," Rimuru says after pondering for a moment.

"Great, nya. Let's go," Nekra says.

"Are you going to hop on a wolf?" Rimuru asks, confused.

"It's fine, nya. I can run," Nekra says.

'She's keeping up with the wolves!' Rimuru thinks, astonished as he watches Nekra lightly jogging next to them.

"So, you met Treyna?" Nekra asks.

'Oh my god, she says nya! I just realized that's so cute!' Rimuru thinks.

"'Rimuru-sama, wait a minute,'" Souei says through telepathy.

'What's up, Souei?' Rimuru replies.

"Is that he should've saved some for us," Gobuta says.

"That's quite a few dead orcs, nya. Shame it's an army of 200,000, nya," Nekra says.

Gobuta immediately draws a large breath.

"Souei is impressive though," Rimuru says.

"Of course, nya. You named him, nya," Nekra says with a cute smile that reveals her fangs.

The crickets chirp, filling the silent battleground.

"She's gravely injured," Souei says.

"Ah, ninja found a girl, nya," Nekra says, teasing him.

"Wait, where did you come from?" Souei asks as Rimuru tends to the lizard girl's wounds.

"From my mother of course nya?" Nekra answers with a head tilt.

"My wound!? I thought it was fatal? Who are you?" the chieftain's daughter asks.

"I'm Rimuru Tempest," Rimuru says.

"Please save my father, the Lizardmen chieftain, and my brother Gabiru," she asks.

"Do we have to save Gabiru? Well, he would make a good court jester, nya," Nekra says.

"Why do you say that?" Rimuru asks.

"His jokes piss everyone off, nya," Nekra says.

"So, you're Gabiru's sister?" Rimuru asks.

"I'm going to continue on ahead, nya," Nekra says, disappearing.

Nekra arrives to see an army of lizards being decimated by orcs.

"They don't even know proper battle tactics, nya," Nekra says, watching disappointed.

"Twenty legions ought to do, nya," Nekra says, putting her hand on the ground and channeling her magicules.

"Face the might of the Roman Empire, NYA!!!!!" Nekra shouts, and suddenly, 120,000 golem soldiers rise from the ground.

"Whoo rah!!!" Nekra shouts, and the soldiers respond with a cry reminiscent of the Germanic tribes.

"March, nya!" Nekra shouts as the golems rush in.

Eventually, Rimuru and his small group of goblin riders arrive to see D-rank stone and dirt golems fighting off C-rank orcs with proper war tactics.

"What am I watching? Is that Roman war tactics?" Rimuru asks.

"Yes, nya. It's about 20 Roman legions too, nya," Nekra says, appearing behind them.

"Do you want me to call them back so your group can bombard them?" Nekra asks, since the lizards have already been covered for a retreat.

"That would be great," Rimuru says.

"You heard him, men, nya! Shields up!" Nekra shouts.

Suddenly, all the soldiers form a turtle formation as they retreat.

"Wait... you're from Earth?" Rimuru asks.

"You are looking at the Legatus of IV Roman Legions the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th. Although you may call me Kommandant. " Nekra states

"Oh..." Rimuru says

"I know what anime is though, I can thank the gods who reincarnated me for that nya." Nekra says her eyes shining.

"Yes! We have cookies as well as anime." Rimuru says

"Yes welcome to the dark side nya." Nekra says

"You know star wars too?" Rimuru asks

"What's Starwars?" Nekra asks

Suddenly a flash drive falls on Nekra's head again with a note saying that not knowing Starwars is an issue that must be fixed.

Chapter 35
It was a day after the Orcs' defeat.

"Chairman Rimuru Tempest, please begin the conference," Treyni announces, but Rimuru remains silent.

Seeing the hesitation, Nekra steps in. "That was a fast war, nya," she comments, taking a seat next to where Treyni was standing. "So... all in favor of making Rimuru our conference leader, say I, nya."

"I," Treyni says.

"I," the lizard chieftain follows.

"I," several of the orcs echo.

"Of course, I," Benimaru adds.

"Nya, I," Nekra chimes in.

"What! But you're the demon lord!" Rimuru interjects, surprised at Nekra's candidacy.

"Correction, I am a demon lord, but that doesn't mean I want to govern. Even older sister Milim doesn't govern her territories, nya," Nekra explains.

Treyni nods in understanding.

Before the conference begins, Rimuru wishes to share the information gathered. Everyone looks at the slime in anticipation as Rimuru conveys the cause for the Orc uprising and their current situation. Tears are shed by some orc representatives as they listen to Rimuru, expecting harsh punishment.

Following Rimuru's explanation, the discussion shifts to confirming casualties, demands for reparations, and fair compensation. As the conference progresses, Rimuru proves adept at handling the discourse, impressing Nekra with her diplomatic skills.

Eventually, Rimuru concludes her thoughts on pursuing the discussion about the orcs' sins, continuing the alliance with the Lizardmen, and inviting the orcs to join the alliance. "And those are my thoughts. I bet you have many things you want to say, but know this: I will not permit any punishment to befall the orcs. That is because I have thus promised to Orc Disaster. I will bear all their sins. If you got something to complain about, let me hear it!" Rimuru declares.

The orcs stare at Rimuru in amazement, while the Head poses a question about the necessity of an alliance now that the war has ended.

"That's an easy question, nya," Nekra interjects. "Humans are stupid. Once they find out about how we killed an orc lord, they will send their armies after us, nya. I should know; I have had to fight a few armies in the past, nya."

The lizard head questions further, "Why are the orcs joining?"

"Labor, nya... Rimuru only has a few wolves and like 60 goblins, do you have any clue how understaffed she is, nya? Not to mention orcs are strong, especially High orcs after they get named, nya," Nekra responds, looking at the lizard chief as if he's an idiot.

""Uh... She?" Rimuru asked, his voice betraying a mix of surprise and uncertainty.

Nekra's head whipped back over to the slime, her expression registering confusion and surprise. "What nya?"

"I'm not a she. I am a slime who doesn't have a gender, and even still, I prefer being male," Rimuru stated firmly, his tone carrying a hint of frustration at the persistent misgendering.

Nekra's head seemed to stall for a moment, her features reflecting a blend of realization and bewilderment. The realization that she had been unintentionally misgendering Rimuru for centuries seemed to hit her all at once.

"You're not?" Nekra asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty and a touch of embarrassment.

"No," Rimuru stated, his voice carrying a sense of resolution as he reaffirmed his gender identity.

"Nya," Nekra muttered, sitting back down with a perplexed expression, her confusion palpable in the air.

"Any way, where were we in this peace disucussion?" Rimuru asks turning back to find everyone staring at him.

"What?" Rimuru asks

"You're not a slime girl?" Benimaru asks his voice tinged with dissapointment.

"Slime girl? What the hell is a slime girl?" Rimuru asks

Chapter 36
"Alright, Yuki, Nya, I got us a house," Nekra announced proudly, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"What about the dungeon? Are we just going to abandon it and move all the way to Tempest, nya?" Nekra said, contemplating their next steps.

"We could go live with Auntie Rimuru?" Safi suggested, her eyes gleaming with anticipation.

"Call her Great Auntie just to fluster her, it's funny," Nekra suggested mischievously.

"Hmm, fine. How much does it cost to move the dungeon?" Yuki inquired, always the voice of reason.

"Surprisingly not that much, nya. That's mostly because we have 200 years' worth of DP, you know," Nekra replied, her tone confident.

Meanwhile, in the capital of Tempest, a hole suddenly appeared.

"There we go, nya," Nekra said, walking up the stairs and appearing in the heart of the capital.

"I'm surprised Rimuru isn't here; usually, he knows exactly what's going on," Nekra remarked, glancing around the bustling city.

"Please let us serve you!!!" a voice shouted from the front of the town.

"Oh, it's the lizard, nya," Nekra said, walking up to the gate with a sense of familiarity.

"Nekra, why are you here?" Rimuru asked, it's expression a mixture of surprise and curiosity.

"Oh? Nya, I have decided I'm moving here. I can't wait to introduce you to Yuki," Nekra announced with a smile, her excitement palpable.

"Wait, what?" Rimuru exclaimed, taken aback by Nekra's sudden declaration.

"What? It's a nice quiet town, nya," Nekra reassured her.

Suddenly, a wolf appeared out of nowhere.

"Nya, is that Shadow Step?" Nekra asked, impressed by the sudden appearance.

Ranga however was watching the new cat girl rather cautiously. Why he didnt have the same sense of danger during the war was unknown but right now he had to protect his master.

"It is," Rimuru confirmed.

"Please don't ignore me," Gabiru pleaded, seeking Rimuru's attention.

"Rimuru-sama, can I kill this lizard?" Shion asked, her gaze fixed on Gabiru.

"Please, I'm sorry, I have no place left to go," Gabiru pleaded, desperation evident in his voice.

"Hey, Rimuru, couldn't you use some lizard people to farm herbs in the cave, nya?" Nekra suggested, always full of ideas.

"Uhh, head captain, why are you here?" Rimuru inquired, turning his attention to the lizard beside her brother.

"I'm here to serve Souei-sama, whom I greatly respect," the lizard responded dutifully.

"Wait, you didn't leave with me because I'm your brother?" Gabiru asked, feeling betrayed.

"Of course I didn't; I'm different from you muscle brains," the female lizard replied dismissively.

"I ship it, nya," Nekra remarked, causing Rimuru to facepalm at her antics.

"If you want to serve Souei, I will call you Souka then," Rimuru declared, naming their new acquaintance.

"Thank you!" Souka exclaimed before rushing off to find Souei.

"They would make a cute couple, nya," Nekra commented once the lizards had left.

Rimuru and Nekra entered Rimuru's house, which was empty and quiet.

"Okay, why are you here?" Rimuru asked, her curiosity piqued.

"I want to leech off of you, Rimuru; I'm too lazy to build and govern anything after what happened last time, so I will just let you do it, nya," Nekra confessed, dumping a bunch of information on Rimuru.

Rimuru's eyes widened in surprise at Nekra's blunt admission. "Leech off me? What do you mean?"

Nekra chuckled sheepishly, scratching the back of her head. "Well, you know, just enjoy the benefits of living in your territory without having to do any of the work. Plus, I thought it'd be fun to annoy you every now and then, nya."

Rimuru couldn't help but smile at Nekra's candidness. "I suppose having you around could make things interesting. But are you sure you won't get bored just lazing around?"

Nekra's eyes sparkled mischievously. "Oh, I'll find ways to entertain myself, don't worry about that. Besides, I can always lend a hand if you need me to. I may be lazy, but I'm not completely useless, nya."

Rimuru chuckled, feeling a sense of warmth in Nekra's presence. "Alright, then. Welcome to my humble abode, Nekra. Just try not to cause too much trouble, okay?"

Nekra grinned, giving Rimuru a playful salute. "No promises, but I'll do my best, nya!"

Rimuru sighs as his shoulders relax. "Well, thats the best I could hope for I guess." The slime mutters looking back at the not so small group of lizards which the town will now have to fit along with all of the orcs.

"Well, have fun nya. Im gonna go to the Onsen." Nekra states walking away he tail swaying happily behind her.

Chapter 37
Rimuru suddenly visibly flinches.

"Ah she's coming isn't she nya." Nekra says holing Yuki's hand while Rimuru gives the trio a tour of the town... Safi is on Rimuru's shoulders.

"I think so?" Yuki says

"Yay!" Safi says excitedly

"Who's coming!" Rimuru shouts turns around.

"We should probably get out of the city Nya." Nekra says to which Yuki nods.

===============

Standing on the hill, one could gaze down at the burgeoning town below, where signs of growth and progress were evident at every turn. From this elevated vantage point, the town stretched out before them.

"It looks amazing from up here." Yuki says looking down at the city.

"It does, although that concentration of magicules is getting closer." Rimuru says

"Nyap, she's coming straight for us nya." Nekra says seeing a pink beam in the sky descends towards them at an incredible pace.

"And she doesn't want to fight?" Rimuru asks

"... probably Nyat." Nekra says alittle unsure.

"That's very reassuring." Rimuru says

Suddenly the ground rumbled as dust is shot up everywhere. Milim direct impacted infront of them. Like the humanoid meteor she is.

"Nekra! Your here!" Milim shouts hugging the cat girl.

"At least she didn't go for me this time." Safi mutters.

"Older sister Milim nya." Nekra says on the ground since it was a tackle hug that Nekra felt to lazy to catch.

"You have no clue how boring those stupid meetings are! You are coming with me to the next one." Milim says

"Nya! Why? I would rather sleep Nya." Nekra says

"What meetings?" Rimuru asks

"Demon lord meetings nya." Nekra says

"They have those?" Rimuru asks

"I know right nya. It's worse than the Senate back in Rome nya. Filthy backstabbers" Nekra says automatically.

"How do I know what that is? I can't remember it nya." Nekra says confused.

"So, do I get my ice cream now?" Milim asks with eyes that won't take no for an answer.

"First say hi to Rimuru nya." Nekra says

"Wait... her too?" Rimuru asks

"Yes nya, she is Veldora's Niece so now she is your niece." Nekra says

"Hi auntie Milim." Safi says with a wave from atop Rimuru.

"So you are the one uncle chose to marry." Milim says looking at Rimuru before nodding alittle.

"He is like what? 4 months old technically." Nekra says looking at Yuki

"Imagine how much stronger she will get. Uncle chose wisely… He? I though it was a slime girl?" Milim says suddenly confused.

"No, I am not a slime girl… Why does everyone keep assuming that?" Rimuru asks

"Because the only type of humanoid slimes known in existence are slime girls, formidable monsters who lure lusty male adventures to their death." Milim says

"Nya they are extreemly rare though." Nekra helps clarify.

"Right, I wish to fight you." Milim says pointing at Rimuru.

"Uh you are like five times stronger than me though." Rimuru says nervously.

'Five times? Sandstorm must've added something. Afterall when in doubt blame sandstorm. ' Nekra thinks

"Auntie Milim they built a hot spring in the dungeon!" Safi says excitedly.

"Wait what dungeon?" Rimuru asks

"Nya, I'm a dungeon meowster." Nekra says

"And I am technically the embodiment of the dungeon." Yuki says

"Where is this dungeon?" Rimuru asks

=========================

Back at the town square of tempest. Several goblins and Orcs were surrounding a staircase which appeared in the ground and lead down.

"So you just put this here without asking permission." Rimuru asks slightly happy that the statue was destroyed.

"Yep nya." Nekra says with a nod.

Yuki suddenly taps nekra's shoulder repeatedly.

"What?"
"We might have done a bad." Yuki says

"Oh… Nya it happens." Nekra says shrugging her shoulder not really caring.

"Please just ask next time" Rimuru says

"So what about the dungeon town?" Milim asks

"Nya? Those people sent an army... I was only there because I was waiting for Rimuru." Nekra says

"Shall we explore?" Yuki asks, already knowing the layout by heart.

"That seems like a fun idea!" Rimuru says hoping to get away from addressing the town's two new demon lords for as long as he could.

"This is a good maze.... why aren't the golems attacking us?" Rimuru asks

"They may be iron golems that spawn infinitely... But I am literally the dungeon." Yuki says as she leads the way.

"We are coming up on my room!" Safi says

"It looks like a boss room." Rimuru says

"It is nya, Safi was the first floor boss because the dungeon only has 2 floors nya... well if you don't include the fake third." Nekra says as they pass by golem legionaries.

Milim isn't talking because she is licking her Ice cream cone.

"She's the boss?" Rimuru asks looking at the girl.

"Nya, honey if you could." Nekra says

Safi nods and runs ahead before placing her dragon down on the ground. There is a flash of light as Safi is gone and the dragon on the ground grows several times it size and is staring at the group.

"She's a dragon!" Rimuru shouts.

"True form time nya?" Nekra asks

Yuki nods suddenly all 9 of Yuki's tails are visible and Nekra has 2 cat tails waving behind her.

"And a Nine tailed fox!" Rimuru also shouts since Nekra and Yuki have a skill which can block appraisal.

Nekra pouts alittle at her race not being mentioned.

"Anyway, just follow me. If you ever played monster hunter you are in for a treat." Yuki says as she pushes the door to the stairs open and leads them down.

As they descended into the dungeon, the atmosphere grew cooler, and the air became tinged with a sense of excitement and anticipation. The group followed Yuki through the twisting corridors, marveling at the intricate architecture of the dungeon.

"This place is incredible," Rimuru remarked, gazing around in awe.

"Yep, it's all thanks to Nekra's expertise as a dungeon master," Yuki chimed in proudly.

Nekra blushed at the praise but maintained her composure as she took the lead and led them deeper into the dungeon and out into the ancient forest floor.

Chapter 38
"This place is nice," Rimuru murmurs contentedly, their form melting into the soothing embrace of their slime as they all bask in the warmth of the hot springs. The steam rises around them, creating an atmosphere of tranquility.

"It's amazing here. Hey, could you bring out the TV? We could watch anime," Milim suggests excitedly, her words sparking interest in Rimuru's eyes.

"Wait, you have anime?" Rimuru asks, their voice tinged with a hopeful curiosity, a glimmer of anticipation dancing in their gaze.

Several drunken hours slip by as they immerse themselves in the colorful worlds of anime...

"So, you just got dropped here with nothing but a small cave?" Rimuru inquires, their curiosity piqued as they delve into conversation.

"Yeah, then we had the goblin army settle in afterward. It was cleared out by adventurers who died, giving us DP," Nekra explains, the flicker of reminiscence evident in her eyes.

"They don't need to die to give you DP, right?" Rimuru questions, their tone reflecting a mix of concern and intrigue.

"No, they don't need to die. They just gave us more DP. With it, I bought golem magic," Nekra replies, her voice carrying a hint of satisfaction at the strategic acquisition.

"And how did it all end up like this?" Rimuru muses, a touch of disdain coloring their words as they reflect on the situation.

"Well, I need to protect the core while giving the adventurers a reason to come in. So, I used iron golems to lure them like it was an iron mine," Nekra elaborates, her explanation tinged with a sense of practicality.

"That works, but it's not a way to build a dungeon," Rimuru remarks, their speech slightly slurred from the effects of alcohol.

"It's not?" Nekra questions, a note of surprise creeping into her voice.

"No, it's not," Rimuru asserts firmly, punctuating their statement with a decisive thud as they set down their cup.

"First, we need the first floor to be filled with weak monsters so people who have no clue how to fight can engage them and gradually become stronger before advancing to the next level with slightly more formidable opponents," Rimuru explains, their words carrying the weight of experience and wisdom.
"Have you built dungeons before?" Yuki asks

"Of course I have!" Rimuru shouts

"As expected as my new best buddy!" Milim shouts

"That explains why no one came back after they met Safi," Nekra realizes, a dawning comprehension illuminating her features.

"Of course, they wouldn't. Seeing a massive dragon her size, you'd never return. Not to mention the fact she erased 200 B-class knights. Also, why are you using legionnaires on the first floor? Most of them can fight better than most adventurers in a one-on-one, even if they are made of stone and dirt," Rimuru admonishes before wearily resting their head against the table.

"Momma Yuki, what are they doing?" Safi inquires innocently, observing the two heavily intoxicated individuals engaged in conversation.

Yuki was taking the opportunity to mix her blood with the alchol that Nekra was drinking.

"Well, Momma Nekra found the alcohol. She's usually cute when she gets like this," Yuki replies, her tone laced with fondness and amusement.

"So, what do I do then?" Nekra asks, her gaze beginning to droop with fatigue.

"I will help you make the best dungeon ever!" Rimuru declares enthusiastically, their determination shining through despite the haze of inebriation.

"Hey, Nekra dear, I think we should sleep first before you start making changes to the dungeon," Yuki suggests, her voice carrying a note of loving concern.

"That's a good idea," Nekra agrees wearily, her eyelids fluttering as exhaustion begins to overtake her.

"Tired and drunk Nekra is a cute Nekra, although it's nothing compared to the time you drank too much blood," Yuki remarks affectionately as she gently lifts Nekra and carries her to bed.

"Right! We can talk about this more in the morning," Rimuru affirms before navigating their way to the couch in the living room area, selecting the unoccupied spot beside Milim.

Safi retreats to her own bedroom, the space adorned with an array of plushies that almost drown the girl in fluffiness.

Meanwhile, in Tempest...

"Rimuru-sama!!!" Shion's voice echoes urgently through the stress as she searches for the absent leader.

"Rimuru-sama!!!!!" Several others join in the chorus, their concern able to be felt by everyone.

"Rimuru-sama!!!!"

Yet, Rimuru had departed without saying where it was going or when the slime would be back…

"Souei, do you know where Rimuru-sama is?" Shion inquires, turning to the ninja in charge of intelligence who wasnt freaking out for their insight.

"Yeah, they're with their family currently... drinking," Souei responds calmly, his demeanor unfazed by the commotion.

Several of the individuals engaged in the search halt in their tracks, processing this revelation.

Suddenly, Ranga materializes from the shadows, his overbearing presence commanding attention.

"Yes, Rimuru-sama is with Nekra-hime," Ranga confirms, his voice tinged with a hint of trepidation.

"Hime?" Souei queries, intrigued by the unfamiliar title.

Ranga shivers involuntarily, silently hoping to avoid witnessing the sight of a drunken cat girl ever again.

"She is from the royal family of Werecats…" Ranga states surprising everyone that the likely last member of the royal family of the long extinct race.

Chapter 39
"The town's turning out nice," Yuki remarks, her tone filled with satisfaction as Rimuru takes their turn to guide them through the bustling streets.

"We are working hard yo—" Rimuru's words are cut short as Nekra interjects.

"You should get Hakurou, nya," Nekra suggests, her gaze fixed on the horizon where a lone Pegasus knight approaches.
"Why?" Rimuru questions, their curiosity piqued.

"Because he also knows who is coming, nya," Nekra explains, her voice trailing off as she observes the distant figure.

"I shall get him," Ranga volunteers, seizing the opportunity to swiftly retreat from Nekra's presence, much to werecats amusement.
"What was that about?" Rimuru inquires, turning to Nekra for clarification.

Nekra tilts her head, a puzzled expression crossing her features. "I don't really know, nya, Maybe the puppy just doesnt like cats nya." she responds, her uncertainty evident.

However, amidst the confusion, Yuki's laughter rings out, adding a touch of levity to the moment.
A single figure can be spotted in the sky, swiftly approaching their location.

"How would Hakurou help? I don't sense any attacks?" Rimuru questions, their confusion growing.

"Nya? I guess you will see soon enough," Nekra replies cryptically, a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"O-okay...." Rimuru concedes, resigning themselves to wait and see.

The Pegasus knight swiftly lands behind the treeline, just out of view.

"I'm back," Ranga announces, leading Hakurou forward.

"I see why you wanted me to come now," Hakurou remarks, his keen gaze assessing the situation.

"I know, right, nya," Nekra agrees with a nod, dispelling the illusion charm.

"Hello... teachers!!" Gazel's voice echoes from his concealed position among the trees, his surprise evident at the unexpected
reunion.

"Told you this would help, auntie, nya," Nekra remarks, eliciting a gaping expression from Gazel. And one of annoyed despair from Rimuru

"Wait, the slime girl is your aunt? The elusive and dangerous slime girl!" Gazel exclaims, taken aback by the revelation.

"Yes, nya, through marriage," Nekra confirms with a nonchalant shrug.

Rimuru shaken out of his shock shouts "I AM NOT A FEMALE!"

Nekra and Yuki break out into laughter while Hakurou just shakes his head in disbelief.

Gazel nods silently, processing the information.

"To think the little kid I picked up in a forest and taught swordsmanship all those years ago would become king," Hakurou muses, his tone reflecting a mix of pride and disbelief.

"I know, right? I remember when he had just wandered into my dungeon nearly 300 years ago, nya," Nekra reminisces, a nostalgic smile playing on her lips.

"You also taught him?" Hakurou inquires, his interest piqued.

"Yes, nya, magic, because I found his sword training adequate, nya," Nekra confirms.

"Maybe we should spar sometime?" Hakurou suggests, a glimmer of challenge in his eyes.

"Nya, sounds like fun, nya," Nekra agrees, a hint of excitement creeping into her voice.
An audible facepalm resonates as Yuki shakes her head in exasperation.

"Not again, that battle maniac phase was terrifying," Yuki mutters under her breath.
Safi shivers slightly, recalling the intense "training" sessions she endured when she was first created.
Meanwhile, Rimuru stands there, looking utterly clueless amidst the unfolding dynamics.
Gazel himself wakes up from the distraction and realizes he does have some questions he needs answered and tasks he needed to complete.

With a silent agreement, Hakurou and Nekra nudge the befuddled slime forward to engage in conversation with their former
student.

"So, uh, why are you here?" Rimuru asks, finally breaking the awkward silence.

"I wish to propose an alliance," Gazel declares, his tone diplomatic yet firm.

"What kind of alliance?" Rimuru inquires, their curiosity piqued.

"Well, a trade and technology alliance, not a full-on defensive pact," Gazel clarifies.

"That seems reasonable. We need some trade to generate currency..." Rimuru muses, their thoughts drifting to a recent discussion with Kaijin about the potential sale of magic potions.

"Your Majesty, did you sneak out of the castle again!" Kaijin's voice interrupts, as he rushes to the scene.

"I did actually… Maybe my guards are slacking. When I get back, I should retrain them, I shall endevor to inform them that this was your idea Kaijin." Gazel comments casually.

"N-no, to have the king as their training partner… Please dont blame me your majesty." Kaijin stammers, a hint of fear in his voice.

"Did you say something, Kaijin?" Gazel questions, his gaze piercing.

"No, Your Majesty," Kaijin responds hastily.

"Nya, still the same battle maniac as always, nya," Nekra remarks with a smirk.

"Those stealth techniques you taught me were too good," Gazel admits, a hint of admiration in his tone.

"I taught you those?" Nekra questions, tilting her head in bemusement.

"I don't think you did, but I observed you enough to figure out how to do it," Gazel explains.

"Nya, that makes sense," Nekra agrees with a nod of understanding.

"Alright, The town of tempest agrees to your trade agreement" Rimuru says, extending their hand in agreement.

"City state nya." Nekra clarifies.

"Great!" Gazel exclaims, shaking Rimuru's hand firmly.

"For your first gift," Gazel announces, darting into the woods momentarily before returning with what appears to be a blood-red rolled-up carpet.

"Is that a dead body?" Rimuru asks, their surprise evident.

"It smells alive, nya," Nekra remarks, her curiosity piqued.

"It's Vesta. After the stunt he pulled, I couldn't keep him as a minister anymore. So, I brought him over. Hey, wake up!" Gazel shouts, lightly kicking the bundled figure with his foot.

"That's all you have to say? 'Brought him over'?" Rimuru questions incredulously.

"Y-your Majesty!?" Vesta's voice rings out as he awakens.

"I want you to help research stuff with the slime here," Gazel instructs, his tone firm yet hopeful.
Vesta nods eagerly.

"We have a research agreement, so anything you discover, I also get. Serve me as best you can," Gazel says with a smile.

"YES, YOUR MAJESTY!! THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME TO THE LEDENDARY SLIME GIRL!" Vesta exclaims, tears of gratitude welling in his eyes.

"I AM NOT A SLIME GIRL!" Rimuru shouts the echo reverberated through the entire forest.

Chapter 40
"So why am I here, nya?" Nekra inquires as they stand in the dungeon's entrance.

"You are here to learn the art of potion making. There will be no wand-waving in this class," Rimuru replies with a hint of seriousness in their tone. Although said slime also seemed to be joking.

"Are you serious, nya?" Nekra questions.

"No, Sirius is an old enemy," Rimuru deadpans.

"What? Nya?" Nekra's confusion deepens.

"Wait, you haven't heard of Harry Potter? You use magic from its world!" Rimuru exclaims, and suddenly, seven books plummet directly onto Nekra's head with a series of thumping noises knocking Nekra down.

"Nya? Not again, nya. That last one was heavy nyan." Nekra groans, observing the books scattered on the ground.

"I'm not going to question that," Rimuru says, deciding to move past the peculiar incident.

Nekra nods appreciatively, ready to proceed.

"So, let's go to the dungeon control room," Rimuru suggests.

"Okay, nya," Nekra agrees, and in an instant, they both vanish from the dungeon's entrance.

At the dungeon control room...

"Is that a computer?" Rimuru asks, eyeing the device with curiosity.

"Yes, it's used to manage the dungeon, nya," Nekra explains.

"Really?" Rimuru's interest is piqued.

Nekra nods, confirming the functionality of the device.

"Is there a way to make it so people don't die?" Rimuru questions with concern.

"Not really, nya," Nekra admits.

"Oh," Rimuru acknowledges, realizing the limitations.

"I think the other dungeon master has an item that teleports them to the surface once they are critically injured. The problem is, our dungeons work off of different magic. I can't move people without their permission, nya," Nekra elaborates.

"Okay then... how about we start to work on your dungeon layout, then," Rimuru suggests, taking a seat at the computer.

"Sure, nya. Just don't delete the forest; you can move it, though, nya," Nekra advises.

"I agree; I like that place too. Though the amount of monsters it has is unsettling," Rimuru remarks.

"You could probably pair a lizard man with a Rathalos and lizard woman with a Rathian to create flying troops, nya," Nekra suggests.

"Why would I build an army?" Rimuru queries, intrigued by the idea.

"Because peace is a useless concept without the means to protect it, nya," Nekra replies sagely.

Suddenly, 10 empty floors are added to the dungeon's layout.

"I can add resource nodes as well?" Rimuru exclaims in disbelief.

"Yes, nya. I could've done it, but I didn't want my dungeon to become a mine in the human country," Nekra explains.

"That makes sense," Rimuru acknowledges although the slimes voice seemed to carry sarcasm. Afterall why would you include the iron golems and call it a mine yourself unless you were using that to get people to come to the dungeon.

"How do I designate mining nodes?" Rimuru asks Nekra suddenly sits down on the chair putting the slime on her lap taking over the computer.

"Like this nya." Nekra says as she starts to designate mining nodes on the third floor.

"We can have dirt golems guard the first, stone guard the second, iron guard the third, and the fourth guarded by stone Roman legionaries," Rimuru plans.

"Sure, nya. What about floors 6-10, nya?" Nekra inquires.

"We can work on those later. We need to get back to the surface; we've been down here for a while," Rimuru realizes.

"Sure, nya," Nekra agrees, preparing to return to the surface.
=========================================
In the Brumund Kingdom's adventure guild...

"How the hell does a dungeon just up and disappear!" Fuze exclaims in frustration.

Suddenly, there's a knock at the door.

"Come in," Fuze invites.

"The Orc Lord is dead, Fuze," the old elf receptionist announces.

"How?" Fuze demands to know.

"The monsters building a city in the forest did it," the elf explains.

"They also formed an alliance with Dwargon, according to our spies," she adds.

Fuze sighs heavily, feeling the weight of the developments.

"First, the dungeon disappears, now this," Fuze mutters as he rises from his seat.

"The adventure trio has been there before, right? They can lead me there," Fuze suggests.

"That's not the party name," the female elf corrects him.

"I know, I just don't really care. Send them a message; we leave at dawn," Fuze decides, determined to investigate further.
===================================
Meanwhile, in a carriage heading to the Great Jura Forest...

"Why are we going there again?" one of the occupants questions.

"Because Carrion-sama told us to," another responds.

"But they are weaklings," the first one remarks.

"Be careful because that could come back to bite you; that cat girl seemed strong," the other warns, a note of caution in their voice.

Chapter 41
In the town of tempest sitting at Kotatsu.

"Do you have any nyines?" Nekra asks

"Go fish," Rimuru responds, keeping the game flowing.

"Shouldn't you two be working on me?" Yuki interjects, a hint of amusement in her voice.

"Nya, don't say it like that; it sounds perverted, nya," Nekra retorts, a playful grin on her face.

"Do you have any sixes?" Rimuru asks, directing their attention towards Yuki.

"Go fish," Yuki replies, keeping the game moving along.

"Nekra dear, do you have any nines?" Yuki asks, her attention shifting back to the game.

Nekra hands Yuki her nine, and the game progresses.

After several minutes...

"Okay, game over. Come here, Nekra," Yuki declares, and Nekra obediently crawls over to Yuki's side.

Yuki claims her prize and begins to pet Nekra, who responds with contented purring as she settles into Yuki's lap.

Meanwhile, Rimuru starts to experience a nosebleed, albeit a metaphorical one, as they watch the scene unfold.

Suddenly, Souei enters the room.

"Rimuru-Sama, we have four humans heading this way," Souei announces, but his attention quickly shifts to the captivating sight of the cat and fox girl.

"Who's coming?" Rimuru asks, snapping out of their daze.

"cough Right, four humans are. And Safi-hime seems to be having fun ordering around the lizard men," Souei reports.

"Alright, well, if the humans don't seem hostile, then we could meet them," Rimuru suggests, refocusing on the matter at hand.

As Souei leaves, Rimuru extends their hand, wanting to join in the petting session with Nekra as well.

"Fine," Yuki concedes, allowing Rimuru to join in, before suddenly...

"Wan!" Yuki barks as Rimuru pets her ears, eliciting a delighted response.

"This feels so gooooddd," Yuki exclaims with satisfaction.

"Hehe, I've always wanted to do this. Not as good as with elves, but animal ear girls will do," Rimuru muses.

"Can't you give yourself animal features too, nya?" Nekra asks between purrs and mewls.

"Ah... what do you recommend?" Rimuru inquires, intrigued by the idea.

"Well, since your husband is Uncle Veldora, why not dragon features?" Yuki suggests.

"Please stop calling my friend my husband." Rimuru says with a pout.

"Illusory truth effect." Nekra manages to stammer bout in between mewls.

Suddenly, there's a knock at the door.

"I am not saying the dragon features is not a good idea. I can do it later," Rimuru decides, feeling the connection to Veldora.

"Hello?" A human with white and black hair enters.

"Hi, I'm Rimuru, the leader of this town," Rimuru introduces themselves.

"Town?" Fuze questions, clearly surprised.

"Yeah?" Rimuru responds, puzzled.

"This is like a small city," Fuze deadpans, noting the scale of the settlement.

"Oh..." Rimuru acknowledges, the awkwardness palpable as Nekra continues to purr.

"So, anyway, I would like to apologize for assuming the worst. Although you may be a demon, you seem surprisingly human," Fuze says, extending his hand in a gesture of goodwill.

"Thanks, I guess," Rimuru says, accepting the gesture.

"So, uh, who are you two?" Fuze inquires, turning his attention to Nekra.

"I'm Nekra, nya. Does that old elf still work at the guild?" Nekra asks.

Meanwhile, elsewhere...

A pen is crushed to dust, and a voice rings out menacingly, "Who just called me old?"

Back in the room, Fuze responds, "Unless you want an early death, don't call her old."

"Nya, alright, I registered with her a while ago, nya," Nekra says, presenting her adventurer card.

Fuze stares at the card, taken aback by its age.

"So, anyway... I was wondering if I could come see the human nations at some time?" Rimuru asks, changing the subject.

"Nya? Why do you wanna go? Last time I went, it was a boring village, nya," Nekra remarks.

"Last time you went was nearly 250 years ago," Fuze points out, having just seen the adventurer card.

"Actually… Am I in a room with a slime girl, a long extinct werecat, and a kitsune… If the king ever finds out about this he'll want all of you for his monster girl harem." Fuze mutters to himself.

"Im not a slime girl!" Rimuru shouts reflexively.

Suddenly, Fuze finds himself embedded in the wall.

"Never mention putting me in a harem like that again nya, if you even think about taking my Yuki away I'll kill you nya! Older sister Milim would kill you if even tried to take both of us, nya," Nekra advises anger radiating off of her, the miasma she was releasing almost seemed to fog up the room. That was before shivering and turning around to see the pink-haired Dragonoid staring at her, smirking with excitement.

"Oh no," Nekra mutters, realizing the potential consequences of her actions with the battlemainac in the room.

Chapter 42
"Well, originally I wasn't going too force you, but now you must join me," Milim declares with an evil grin.

"Nya? What is it?" Nekra asks, her concern evident.

Could she fight Milim? Yes. Could she win? Maybe. If she were to run, would Milim find her? No. But if she does run, she can't come back home.

"You are coming with me to meet the other Demon Lords," Milim states firmly.

"Fine, nya, but I might sleep, nya," Nekra concedes.

"You aren't usually supposed to sleep," Milim remarks.

"Is there a rule which says I can't, nya?" Nekra questions.

"... I could've slept this whole time... but then I wouldn't find interesting opponents," Milim realizes.

"Nekra-sama, I guess our spar won't be today after all," Hakurou says, somewhat disappointed.

"Nya, we can always reschedule, nya," Nekra reassures him as she is literally dragged out by the scruff of her neck.

"Are you not going to help her?" Rimuru asks, concerned.

"Milim is like a sister figure to her, so she should be fine with her," Yuki explains.
========================================

Nekra and Milim landed and although she landed with the grace of a cat, milim's style of flight made her want to throw up.

"Nya, Milim, I thought this was a Demon Lord meeting?" Nekra questions as she's dragged in.

"Of course it is!." Milim responds rather enthusiastically.

"Why are there only three and a half Demon Lords, nya?" Nekra asks, surveying the room.

"Three and a half?" Clayman repeats, puzzled.

"Nya, you aren't strong enough to be a full true Demon Lord, that harpy isn't one, and I think she is a spirit queen, nya. There is also a hero, nya?" Nekra points out, identifying everyone in the room.

Suddenly, Guy starts laughing. "I like her; she's strong enough to not be scared of us, and she was able to figure out what we all are nearly instantly," he says with a dangerous smile.

"I won't fight you, nya," Nekra hastily interjects.

"Are you not from my kingdom?" Carrion inquires.

"Nyo, I am nyot," Nekra responds, revealing her two tails.

"Sorry I'm late..." a silver-haired girl says, arriving and staring at Nekra.

"Luminous, I haven't seen you in forever! Fight me!" Milim shouts, launching herself at Luminous.

However, Milim's attack being so straightforward made it easily deflectable, resulting in a hole in the wall with a pink light tag shooting into the distance.

"Nya, you are a vampire! I haven't seen another vampire in 300 years, nya," Nekra exclaims.

"What are you? You don't seem like a pure-blooded vampire, yet you seem like a descendant of the royal family," Luminous asks cautiously.

"Me, nya? I'm just a dungeon mowster," Nekra deflects.

"Hey, that's like me!" Ramiris chimes in, interrupting the small interrogation.

"Nya? Wanna talk strategies in the future, nya?" Nekra suggests to Ramiris.

"That sounds like it could be fun," Ramiris agrees.

"I think it's time we started the meeting," Clayman interjects.

"I still haven't forgiven you for the encroachment on my territory, nya," Nekra says, glaring at Clayman with a fierce determination.

"Your territory? Wait, you are the one that commanded 100,000 golems!" Clayman realizes, finally recognizing her.

"Nya? So I can make a near-endless number of legions, nya," Nekra confirms.

"I'm sorry, did you say legions, as in Roman legions?" Leon questions, astonished.

"Yep, nya, for the empire," Nekra affirms.

Back in the Great Jura Forest...

"She seems fine. Though several of the people knew I was watching," Souei reports.

"It seems there were only around 4 and a half actual Demon Lords there; everyone else was just strong enough to receive a Demon Lord title," Souei explains.

"Oh, that's certainly interesting," Rimuru remarks.

"We can ask her more about it later," Yuki suggests as she looks over the city plans on the table.

"Why did you leave her?" Rimuru asks.

"She fell asleep at the table; I believe it was because she got bored," Souei says.

"Sounds like her," Yuki agrees with a chuckle.

"She's really just like a cat," Rimuru muses.

Chapter 43
"Rimuru, there's nothing to do, nya," Nekra complains.

"How about you go spar with Hakurou? He's been wanting to fight you for a while," Rimuru suggests.

"Is this you trying to get out of training, nya? You know they would have none of that back in Sparta, nya," Nekra warns with a piercing gaze, causing Rimuru to shiver.

"Spartans were crazy, nya. They beat their own kids and encouraged them to steal, nya," Nekra explains with a mixture of contempt and respect.

"But you are Roman, right?" Rimuru asks.

"Of course, nya. As barbaric as the Spartans may have been, they were worthy adversaries. Well, the few that were not mercenaries were," Nekra affirms.

"I'm going to go spar, nya," Nekra announces, rising and leaving.

Rimuru looks at Yuki for reassurance.

"It's fine... she gets like that. She had fragmented memories of her previous life and tried to use her knowledge skill to find out who she used to be. Problem is she got all knowledge pertaining to a 1000-year-old empire, including its fall," Yuki explains, her eyes betraying her worry.

"So, she has the knowledge of... are you sure she's okay?" Rimuru inquires.

"I hope so... I really do. I love her with all of my heart, you know… It's just that after she did that, shes been a bit distant." Yuki admits, the fox girl very clearly on the edge of tears.

"I'm sure we can figure something out, although watching her life's work and its legacy dying out in perfect detail and clairty with everything that led up to it… Wasn't it Neuro that played the fiddle as Rome burned." Rimuru states, though inwardly, he feels uncertain about how to proceed.

Meanwhile...

"So, are you going to draw your blade?" Hakurou asks, readying himself.

"You know what, sure, let's have this be a test of skill rather than pure strength, nya," Nekra agrees, drawing her gladius and wrist braces.

"Well, ladies first," Hakurou jests.

"How honorable, just don't regret that, nya," Nekra retorts, disappearing from her spot, the sound of metal clashing filling the air.

"Nya? You blocked that, impressive, nya," Nekra acknowledges as Hakurou parries her strikes.

As their duel unfolds, drawing a crowd, Hakurou's defensive prowess impresses Nekra. However, her agility and skill with her blade keep the match balanced.

"That was impressive," Hakurou concedes, laughing as he lies on the ground.

"Nya, good fight," Nekra says, extending her hand to help him up.

Applause erupts from the spectators.

"That was impressive," a man with a black leopard's tail remarks.

"Thanks, nya," Nekra responds.

"So, we are Lord Leon's delegation here to negotiate a deal... and, I want her," Phobio declares, pointing at Nekra.

Suddenly, a storm of magicules erupts, sending Phobio flying several hundred meters away and burying him in the ground.

"Did he say something, dear?" Yuki asks, embracing Nekra from behind.

"Nya? I don't think so. He's just a neutered cat, nya," Nekra comments about the panther beastman.

Several onlookers sweat nervously at her remark.

Chapter 44
In a cave somewhere in the Jura Forest...

"How dare they! That useless fox getting between me and that cute kitten!" Phobio roars in frustration, his comrades leaving him to his rage for wanting revenge on a nine-tailed fox – they're not suicidal.

"What would you say if I have a way for you to gain power?" a girl wearing a tear-stricken clown mask suggests.

"Tell me," Phobio demands, gritting his teeth despite the pain in his crotch, a wound that refuses to heal… He was desperate.

"It's simple. Although your pure hatred summoned us, we have a way to help," a burly man wearing a clown mask with exaggerated lips chimes in.

"Yep! Follow us," Tear cheerfully guides Phobio, leading him to what may as well be his death.

Meanwhile, in the hot springs of Tempest...

"I've got it! Let's have a competition of holding our breaths!" Milim suggests excitedly.

"That's not proper etiquette for a bath," Yuki rebuffs.

"Nya, do I have to go into the water?" Nekra protests, wearing nothing but a towel.

"Come on, Nekra dear, you need to clean yourself," Yuki insists, pulling Nekra into the warm bathwater.

"Nyaaa, it's nice and warm, nya," Nekra admits, instantly surrendering to the allure of the bath.

"It's the same every time," Yuki mutters as she takes out some soap and a cloth.

"I'm going to clean your ears and tail, dear," Yuki announces.

"Nyaaaa," Nekra protests, blushing furiously. "No fair, Yuki-nya!" she says before succumbing to purring contentment.

Meanwhile, Rimuru remains in his slime form, averting any potential nosebleeds. The sheer otakuness of the former human could put a closet neet in Jamaica to shame. You know who you are.
===============================
The next day...

Milim returns with the adventure party, carrying a cart full of crabs.

"Nya? Do you feel that too, nya?" Nekra asks, sensing something amiss, a sentiment echoed by Yuki.

"Older sister Milim, did one of the demon lords not take my warning seriously, nya?" Nekra questions.

"You should know what's happening, don't pretend," Milim responds, aware of Nekra's future sight.

Suddenly, a green mist appears.

"I am the dryad Trya, younger sister of Treyni," Trya announces.

"What's with the murderous aura?" Rimuru queries.

"There is an emergency, a calamity approaches," Trya warns.

"Nya? You do realize there are four walking Calamities right here, nya," Nekra interjects.

"Four?" Rimuru questions.

"Did you forget I exist, great Auntie Rimuru? How cruel," Safi says, faux crying, appearing in the middle of the group, startling the slime and dryad.

"This might not be that bad then..." Trya muses.

"Anyway, the Calamity-class monster Charybdis has revived, nya... It's probably after Yuki; however, it is Veldora's child, nya," Nekra reveals.

"What! He HAS A CHILD!" Rimuru exclaims before hastily covering his mouth, but it's too late – several people are already looking at him.

"Nyo, it was created through his Magicules, nya," Nekra clarifies, causing Rimuru to sigh invisibly, knowing the dragon is going to need to explain a lot.

"Why does Lord Veledora having a child matter Rimuru-sama?" Shion asks, surprised.

"Nya, she married Uncle Veldora. Why do you think I call her Auntie Rimuru?" Nekra explains.

"Can we talk about this later? We have a fight to prepare for," Rimuru redirects the conversation.

"Nya, me and Yuki could easily take care of it, you know. The Jura Forest is technically my territory, nya," Nekra offers.

"Can I fight?" Safi asks eagerly.

Chapter 45
"Nya, someone called me brain dead, nya," Nekra says.

"Who?" Yuki asks.

"I don't know, but my knowledge skill told me. I think it's very rude, nya," Nekra says with a hint of annoyance.

"You are a bit absentminded sometimes," Yuki observes.

"It's coming," Rimuru interjects, drawing their attention to the sky where several flying sharks approach.

"Yay! It's time!" Safi exclaims, darting off into the forest.

"Are you sure this is fine?" Hakurou asks, voicing concern.

"Nya? You haven't seen Safi's true form yet, nya," Nekra replies confidently.

Suddenly, the ground rumbles, and a mechanical roar echoes through the air.

"Nya? That's twice the usual size, nya," Nekra remarks, gazing up at her daughter.

"It's certainly intimidating," Yuki comments, nodding in agreement.

"I knew she was a dragon, but she is massive," Rimuru observes.

"That's just the Pym particles at work," Nekra thinks to herself.

Safi opens her mouth, charging an energy shot that looks terrifying.

"Of course, nya. You should see it when she drains the magicules from the air," Nekra remarks as nearby trees begin to wilt from Safi's magical absorption.

insert laser noise here.

The flying sharks are engulfed in light and disintegrate into dust, leaving onlookers stunned.

"Nya! Go, Safi! You got it, nya!" Nekra cheers, prompting Yuki to hug her in excitement.

Suddenly, the giant mechanical monster takes off, but it's clear it's feeling fear.

Chomp

A loud squeaking noise fills the forest as Safi bites Charybdis, bringing it crashing down. Safi had planned this, using the creature as a cushion for her landing. The ground rumbles with impact.

After a moment of silence, everyone looks at Nekra, before sighing and dismissing the extraordinary event as just another day in her company. Ever since the slime showed up and the cat girl came out of her hole the world got more chaotic.

"Safi is amazing, nya," Nekra proudly declares.

"Indeed, almost as amazing as her mother," Yuki says, tightening her embrace around Nekra.

====================

Several minutes later, Safi emerges from the forest, dragging the unconscious panther beast man behind her.

"I think I broke it," Safi says nonchalantly.

"How do you mean?" Yuki inquires.

"After a few light bites, it disappeared, and this thing came out," Safi explains, tossing Phobio's unconscious form in front of her.

"That was certainly interesting," Carrion remarks as he arrives on the scene.

"Thanks for not killing my stupid subordinate," Carrion adds, grabbing Phobio and dragging him away. However, he pauses as he notices Nekra.

"A Nekoshou. This is going to get interesting," Carrion remarks before departing.

"Didn't we meet each other like 3 days ago, nya?" Nekra says, bemused.

"Oh, right. I... it just took me a while to remember what your race is," Carrion replies before leaving in his carriage.

"What does that mean?" Rimuru asks, puzzled.

Nekra simply shrugs, too lazy to explain, but she knows the answer.

Chapter 46
Yuki stirred, her eyes fluttering open to find Nekra laying beside her on the bed the cat girl was pale. Extreemly so, as in all blood was gone from her body… Blood.

Yuki shuffles as she sits up in the bed. "Hey, Nekra. Have you been drinking enough blood?" Yuki asked, her voice tinged with concern.

"Of course, nya," Nekra replied, her response a little too swift. Trying to cover herself with the blanket.

"When was the last time you had blood?" Yuki pressed.

"Uh, well, that's a fair question, nya," Nekra admitted, her unease evident by her stilling and throwing the blanket off.

"Do you need blood?" Yuki asks

"It certinaly wouldn't hurt." Nekra states her tired eyes looking at her fox of a partner.

"Then go ahead," Yuki offered, tilting her head to expose her neck.

Nekra's eyes widened at the sight, a small droplet of drool escaping her lips. "Are you sure, nya?"

"Absolutely, go ahead," Yuki affirmed, granting her consent.

Without further hesitation, Nekra lunged, sinking her fangs into Yuki's neck to quench her thirst.

'She must have been really thirsty,' Yuki mused as darkness enveloped her.

========================================================

Yuki woke up to find Nekra pacing restlessly around the room.

"Nekra?" Yuki called out, her voice still tinged with sleep.

"Yes, Yuki dear?" Nekra responded, her tone playful yet slightly anxious.

"Is everything alright? You seem agitated," Yuki observed.

"I'm fine, really. But I must admit, it's hard to focus when I'm neglecting my needs. I didn't even realize I was starving myself," Nekra confessed, standing at attention and explaining her predicament.

Concern clouded Yuki's eyes as she sat up. "Starving? Nekra, you should have told me earlier. I don't want you going hungry because of me."

Nekra waved her hand dismissively, attempting to downplay the situation. "It's not your fault, Yuki. I should have been more attentive to my own needs. After all, I've managed to survive 300 years while starving. But my absent-mindedness is a cause for concern. The signs were there, and I did nothing to prepare!"

"You'll be fine. After all, you're practically invincible," Yuki reassured her with a smile.

"Why does that sound like a reference?" Nekra asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I have no idea. So, what's your plan?" Yuki inquired.

"I need to disappear for a bit to handle a looming threat. I need you to cover for me," Nekra explained.

"How long will you be gone?" Yuki asked, her voice tinged with worry.

"It'll take about a week, but it's necessary. If I don't deal with it, the angels will pose a real threat to us," Nekra said gravely.
=============================================
Meanwhile, Safi was accompanying the slime on a side quest to get registered at the guild.

"Do you have any idea where we're going?" Rimuru asks.

"Somewhat," Safi replies, was this a dumb prank yes. Was it funny? Kinda?

"Cool..." Rimuru says, wondering if he should consult Great Sage.

Meanwhile, Safi was leading the two of them in ciricles.

"Are you absolutely sure you know where we're going?" Rimuru asks.

"Absolutely," Safi assures.

"So, you're just messing with me," Rimuru mutters.

"Huh?" Safi says.

"We've passed that tree 23 times," Rimuru states flatly pointing at stump.

Safi flinches. "So, you found out, huh?"

"You have no idea where we're going, do you?" Rimuru asks.

The dragon girl smiles in resoponse.

"... Were you really pranking me? We have better things to do Safi." Rimuru asks.

"Momma Nekra told me never to answer that question," Safi replies.

"Uh-huh," Rimuru says.

"Well, I guess I could lead the way," Rimuru offers.

"Okay," Safi says.

"Alright, let's go," Rimuru says, lifting Safi onto his shoulders.

================

A few hours later, they emerge from the forest and see the town in the distance.

"See, it wasn't too bad, right?" Rimuru asks Safi, who nods.

"So, are you going to change to your teenage form?" Rimuru asks, setting Safi down.

"Right!" Safi says, growing to about Rimuru's height.

"Let's go then; I need to register at the guild," Rimuru says.

Safi nods as they walk. "I should probably get mine renewed," Safi adds pulling out an old card.

==================

"Hello!" Safi greets upon entering the guild and spotting a familiar elf.

"Safi?" the elf asks, confused.

"Yep, here to renew my card and register my friend," Safi says.

"You haven't aged in 50 years… you know what, not my job, sure." the elf remarks, holding out her hand.

The small dragon in her arm's moves as Safi appears to be digging in it like it is a bag of holding.

"So, that's why you always carried that dragon around." the elf mutters.

"It's just a magic item that holds stuff," Safi explains, knowing that anyone trying to steal her main body will be in for a surprise.

"It's surprisingly empty here," Rimuru notes.

"Yeah, ever since the labyrinth disappeared, people have been leaving the area. The only other place to make money is the Jura forest, but with the rumors, it's hard for new adventurers," the elf explains.

Safi nods as she receives her renewed adventure card.

"So, to rank up to A or above like Safi, you'll need to go to the Freedom Association and the guild headquarters," the elf informs Rimuru.

"Sounds good," Rimuru says.

"Our summoner hasn't been active for a while, and Fuze is in town due to the proximity to the Jura forest," the elf adds.

"So, where do I go?" Rimuru asks.

"Just follow me to the testing area. We used to have a rock to measure your power, but it was replaced by a summoner 50 years ago because we couldn't make them anymore. Jordan! Go get the summoner for today!" The elf shouts motioning for the two to follow her.

Chapter 47
"So, where are we headed?" Safi inquired.

"Just trying to stall a bit... The summoning might just end up conjuring a lesser demon," the elf commented.

"Is it that obvious?" Safi wondered.

"With you here? Many might not recall, but I certainly do," the elf deadpanned.

"It wasn't that catastrophic," Safi defended.

The elf scoffed but then broke into laughter, momentarily dropping the act.

"What's going on?" Rimuru asked.

"Just reminiscing about collateral damage," the elf replied.

Rimuru glanced at Safi, who just shrugged. "It was just a serious punch... no casualties."

"No bodies were found," the elf corrected.

Rimuru gave Safi a pointed look. "What's your workout routine?" Rimuru shifted the topic.

"100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10 km run, every single day," Safi boasted with exaggerated pride.

Rimuru burst into laughter, unable to hold it back.

"cough We're here," the elf announced, opening the door.

"You got this," Safi encouraged, and Rimuru nodded in response.

"Oh, I'm testing this young lady?" the summoner remarked.

"I'M NOT A LADY!," Rimuru shouts as a pack of shadow wolfs which had just been summoned instantly die.

"You're not?" The old elf asks

"NO!" Rimuru corrects

"Ah, I already put you as a female on the card." The elf states

"FIX IT THEN!" Rimuru shouts as he punches another summoned monster not even bothering to look at it.

"I can't do that here, itll have to be done at the Freedom Association guild headquarters." The elf states

"WHAT!" Rimuru shouts

The summoner smirked. "HA! That surprised you! Well do you think you can handle this?" he taunted, summoning a lesser demon with a goat-human hybrid form.

"Omae wa mou shindeiru," Rimuru declared, appearing behind the summoner.

'Wow, is really angry Rimuru and got a power-up somehow,' Safi thought.

"Naaa," the lesser demon attempted to speak but was cut short as it was sliced into several pieces by red lines, dropping dead instantly.

"Bakana!" the summoner exclaimed.

"What in the world just happened?" Fuze burst into the room, shocked by the audience's cheers.

"You two, come with me," Fuze ordered.

"I Refuse! She has to fix my Adventuer's card!" Rimuru returns pointing at the elf.

======================

In the guild master's office,

"What were you thinking? Not even heroes could achieve what you did!" Fuze shouted.

"Heroes are that weak?" Safi innocently asked, making Fuze's eye twitch.

"What I did? I argued with you're secretary the whole time because she messed up big time." Rimuru states

"Ah, that… I'll just have a new card printed." Fuze states

"It's that simple? She said, "Freedom Association headquarters." Rimuru states starting to calm down.

"Usuall, but im the guild master. We will just pretend that that first card was never made." Fuze states

Rimuru breathes out a sigh of relief.
Fuze nods before turning to Safi "I have a question. That metal dragon you have, is it related to the one in the dungeon that decimated several hundred knights?"

"Um, no," Safi replied, avoiding eye contact.

Fuze sighed deeply. "Why can't I retire yet?"

"Because you haven't found a successor," the elf interjected.

"This job will be the end of me... Here come with me," Fuze says getting up walking out of the room.

The four of them walk down the hall to a locked offroom which was in a far off corner of the building.

"Any chance we can keep this under wraps?" Fuze asks as he opens the door and everyone can see what appears to be a magical printing press.

"Maybe," the elf, replies.

"Leafa, we are going to be keeping this underwraps." Fuze states in a rather no nonsense tone.

"I just realized I never got your name," Safi blurted out.

"It's Leafa," the elf says introducing herself.

"So, can you two wreak havoc outside this kingdom? Preferably something big enough to divert attention from the mess you've made here," Fuze requested.

"According to my communication with momma Yuki, Nekra is on the move." Safi states with a smile.

Everyone stills at that one sentence.

"Well, how bad could that be?" Rimuru wondered aloud.

"You have no idea about the main guild association, and Nekra's past do?" Fuze questioned.

"What?" Rimuru asks

Chapter 48
Yuki found herself buried under piles of paperwork. With both Rimuru and Nekra absent, she had unwittingly become the de facto leader. As the most powerful being left in their absence, the responsibility of managing the affairs of the soon to be city fell squarely on her shoulders.

"Ugh, who knew being in charge was this tedious," Yuki muttered to herself, scanning through another stack of requests and reports.

"Shion… How are the Orcs settling in?" Yuki asks

"They are doing well, the road which Rimuru-Sama ordered before he left is being done at record pace, and houses are being completed fast the tent city will likely be removed soon." Shion says

Yuki nods to herself before a large amount of paperwork disappears.
Yuki sighed in relief as she heard Shion's update. "That's good to hear. I was worried about how they would adapt to the new environment."

Just then, Shion handed Yuki a cup of tea, which she gladly accepted. "Thank you, Shion. This helps a lot."

Shion smiled warmly. "You're welcome, Yuki. And don't worry, we're all here to help you. Although where did hte paperwork go?"

"Ah, I sent it forward in time. It'll show back up in about a week when Rimuru is back at this desk." Yuki states with a smile.
=============================================
Nekra stood at the entrance of the bustling city, her silhouette softened by the gentle twilight. The city's grand gates towered above her, their intricate ironwork casting intricate patterns on the cobblestones below. Above, the clouds glowed with hues of pink and orange, illuminated by the sun that had yet to crest over the distant horizon.

A guard approached her, his armor gleaming in the soft light. "Gate's not open until sunrise," he informed her with a stern look.

"That's fine. I can wait; it should just be a few minutes anyway," Nekra replied calmly, her voice carrying a hint of amusement.

The guard eyed her curiously, taking in her hooded figure and the mysterious air that seemed to surround her. He nodded slowly, stepping back to allow her space while keeping a watchful eye.

As Nekra settled in to wait, the city slowly began to awaken. The sound of movement and soon the first bell rang.

Nekra's ear twitched causing the hood to move a little bit startling the guard.

"That's the bell… Give them a few moments to get the mechanism started and the gate will be open… Can I see your guild ID?" The guard asks

Nekra holds out her old card and the guard seems to freeze in terror.

"We thought you were dead?" The guard says questioningly.

"You fight Milim one time and everyone think's youve died. What is that Nya?" Nekra asks with a giggle pulling back her hood revealing herself. The only S rank in the entire guild, now stood infront of the entrance of the Freedom Association Capital.

The guard's eyes widened in disbelief as he took in Nekra's appearance, his previous stern demeanor replaced by one of shock and awe. The emblem on her guild ID, unmistakably hers, left no room for doubt.

"Apologies, Lady Nekra," the guard stammered, his voice tinged with a mixture of relief and embarrassment. "We were indeed under the impression that you had met an untimely end. Rumors spread quickly, especially when it involves a battle with The Milim Nava."

Nekra chuckled softly, her laughter echoing in the early morning air. "Well, as you can see, the rumors of my demise were greatly exaggerated."

With a deep rumble, the massive steel gate groaned and creaked as it began its slowly open it revealing a intricate and paved stone road with the sun rising exactly in line with the street. A Manhattanhenge to those in the know.

The architecture bore the hallmarks of a medieval town, with stone buildings, narrow cobblestone streets, and towering cathedrals reaching towards the sky. But interspersed among these traditional structures were modern elements that seemed oddly out of place yet oddly fitting.

Shopfronts displayed neon signs and advertisements, their massive plate windows filled with a mix of goods ranging from handcrafted jewelry and potions to the latest magical gadgets and enchanted tools. The streets were lined with vendors selling everything from fresh produce and meats to clothing and magical artifacts.

There were carts selling street food that wouldn't be out of place in a 2000's shopping center: hot dogs, pretzels, kebabs, and even some more exotic fare like fried dragon wings and magical fruit smoothies.

"Nya? It sure has changed alot." Nekra mutters walking down the street as the vendors were setting up for the day.
=======================================================
A distance away from the entrance gate two figures appeared from a shadow.

"OH DEAR MOTHER SWEET SWEET GROUND!" Safi shouts as her human form drops the miniature dragon onto the ground, said metallic being retching a blend of hydraulic fluid and oil from her metallic form.

"I am never shadow traveling again," Safi muttered, her dragon form slowly standing up as her human body collapsed turing to a greyish sand.

"It wasn't that bad," Rimuru commented casually.

"All of my sensors were registering every direction at once!" Safi exclaimed, the tiny metal dragon rolling onto its back in exasperation.

"Really?" Rimuru raised an eyebrow.

"I received 84 different error messages!" Safi shouted, looking up towards the tree above them.
