    • Wow, short update. Sorry for the delay with something so short. Had a bit of a block on what to add and couldn't find a good place to actually do so.

    When you ask Jessica about hers, she starts looking confused, then looks at her stats, "that... wasn't there before," she says slowly, eyes widened slightly, "I check this regularly, I didn't have this before today," she says, then blinks, "how did you know about it before me?" she asks, clearly not knowing that you could check her stats, or that she could check hers.

    "Jessica," you say, grabbing her attention, then point with your tail a little awkwardly, trying not to draw attention from the creatures. She follows the gesture, and her eyes widen, "snow goblins? What are they doing around here? There have to be more of them, they always travel in groups of at least ten according to my studies," she's thinking, "do you think you can scout out for others?" she asks you.

    You get a better look at these 'snow goblins', they do look like just that, goblins covered in a layer of white fur. But their teeth, you see one running its mouth and it has piranha teeth. There weapons don't really look all that sturdy, even from a distance, and they're decidedly thin. You might be able to get away with something here...

    So yea, you've got a description of the snow goblins now, that should be enough to get the reference. It's not a direct reference, mind you, they're inspired by something from an anime, not a direct injection (have to keep things in line with the universe they're in and all).

    A small omission should bring much problem and it willsurely be better for us if she doesn't think of checking our stats.

    I agree with mrttao, may as well keep being cooperative. And the conversing about the way the world works is fun. :)

    They come in groups and we aren't very strong yet. May as well stay close to the one with magic and a divine blessing, sounds safe to me.

    Okay, I won't be able to get an update out until Sunday or Monday, so I'm gonna do something else. A little thing to flesh out the character a little and possibly add in another skill to use, open voting until I post the update.

    You explain you can view each others stats to Jessica, and she's amazed by it. She notes your stats and even your abilities, which prompts a simple question of how to view them. It's so simple, a twist of the thought that comes surprisingly easily to you. Fortunately, you being reincarnated isn't listed. Something that is listed, however, is your Moonsilver Gossamer. Alongside that are two other abilities you didn't know about, [Manaweft] and [Pump Up]. The first let you sense the use of mana as well as leylines. Says that the more you use it, the more senses it'd be able to be detected by, starting with touch and with sight being the final. The second is a racial ability of seven color bats, allowing them to gain increased strength and fortitude for a short period of time. Looks like it consumes mana and increases Flesh, Blood, and/or Bone by an increasing amount based on how it's used and trained. It doesn't give an exact maximum, but does mention it.

    "Moonsilver Gossamer?" Jessica asks, then shakes her head, "not important," she says, urging you to scout out. You use [Wing Reinforcement] and surge up into the sky, hopefully fast enough to avoid any possible projectiles.
    Perception Check: 16+12 (Failure)
    Searching around you spot small clusters of these snow goblins, but none close to you. At least that's the case until your wing is clipped by a dart of some kind. Turning, you see two of the snow goblins heading towards you, and by proxy Jessica. Oh that's not good.

    One of the attackers has a few more of those darts, like mini javelins. The other, however, has a spear in hand and a dagger at its waist. Both have hanks of rope coiled on their belt. You spot their levels. They're level 27. That was pretty high from what you've seen so far. Then again, you read about Rank Ups and how you needed to be level 100 to do so, and your level was reset in the process.
    Manaweft Check: 80+7 (Success)
    You sense it before it actually happens, a... heat, nearby, you look down and see stones spring up around Jessica, orbitting her at the waist, she looks tired already, she doesn't have much mana from what you can sense, she'd probably only have one more shot at her current spell at max. Six projectiles total, not a lot to work with.
