I mean, admitting that there are some aspects of biology that aren't changed by culture...still. I mean, we might get someone who thinks like a human sometimes if they try hard enough not to give into instincts. Like, an Eldritch monster that has to remember not to phase into its form with fifty tentacles and eat everyone.

"Oh, guests are coming over, that means I turn into a monster and devour their souls as they beg and scream for forgiveness...wait. No. No, I was taught differently. Man, I'm forgetful sometimes. Ah, yes, I instead open the door, smile and say...hello, how are you doing?! Please come in and enjoy our edible food."

Obviously the only compliment the Eldritch Monster can think of is 'edible.' Because human food all tastes so boring. But it's edible, so she's not lying!

Had no idea what Saya no Uta was.

Decided to read the plot on Wikipedia.

Love/Regret decision.

Regret because, OMG is that some crazy ass, edgy, bullshit story.

Love because, I know for a fucking FACT that I will NOT be writing a story like that!

Just....why?!
 
Good for you and for us then. I played/read the game and... Yeah, it's bad (in the "grim horror" sense). Not recommended for those weak of stomach or will.

Also, it has the same problem all visual novels have: TOO DAMN MANY WORDS!

Also, the plot kinda shoots itself on the foot, but that's another issue. Good to see you won't take that path, @LinkOnScepter.

Based on what I read, that's one of those stories that goes from Grim Dark to Grim Derp real fast.

I would like to inform the rest of this thread that once I become an adult, I shall treat every kid I come across like how you will treat our eldritch kid.
 
we will love them and take care of them we will bring them up right when any eldritch horror try's to hurt our child WE GO FREAKING OLD MAN HENDERSON ON THERE ELDRITCH ASS!!!!!!
