"You should know," you say, "that there is a secrecy inducing effect on magic, making all attempts to preserve its secrecy automatically successful. As such, any attempt to expose magic to the wider world is completely useless, and so your existence as superheroes will never be discovered and you don't have to worry about that."
There is a pause, followed by, "If what you say is true, it's fortunate that our identities are relatively safe, but it's a pity that it will make our attempts to improve the world a lot harder."
"That's true," you reply. "But it means that some of your conflicts should be solved. I've already spoken to the Seekers about this, so they're not going to try reveal you anymore, and you should no longer have problems with each other."
"That's true," comes the reply. "They are rather like our Lois Lane. We don't want to fight them. We can now feel free to socialise with them."
"After talking to the Seekers," you continue, "we also spoke to Southern Retribution, Young Principality, the Treasure Keepers and Secret Talent. We also arranged for a meeting with Hidden Fairies for later today."
"That means you could be being controlled by Secret Talent," says Justice Girl. "It's the kind of thing they do, and they've fought with us before."
"I'm pretty resistant," you reply. "I shook off the effect and blocked their faces on our Skype call. Besides, now that I told them about the secrecy effect, they no longer have a reason to plot."
A giggle fills the alley. "Clever," she replies. "It's good to hear they are no longer a player. Their powers are really annoying to deal with, even for me. Especially all at once. That information should have a similar effect on Hidden Fairies."
"Thank you," you respond. "The same applied to the Treasure Keepers. Young Principality also realised how this information helps their short term and hinders their long term plans, and it similarly reduced their desire for conflict. Southern Retribution was similarly affected and is actually considering joining you."
There is a gasp. "That's good news. We're a bit short staffed. We don't even have a fifth member for a proper party. That would still leave us at an even number, which is unfortunate for posing though. A ninth member would be great to make a fellowship if we can get one. Is your group interested in joining us?"
"We're trying to remain neutral for now," you answer. "It's better for diplomacy. But we do like what we know so far. We're based in a different country though, so that makes things harder."
"Portal Girl, one of my sidekicks, can easily solve distance problems."
"Maybe, but we'll have to see how things go here first before deciding things like that."
"Fine. I can understand caution."
"Anyway, I did ask for a rundown of the relationships the groups had to each other. As I said, most of that is solved. I understand that Shadows Unseen is your biggest enemy, and they do seem pretty nasty from what we've heard. We were actually wondering if you could help us deal with them."
"We'll be glad to have more allies in our fight against them. Southern Retribution's resources will already be a big help."
"I would think this isn't the right place to discuss that though," you say. "if we weren't in public, and were able to speak face to face, it would be a lot easier."
After a moment of hesitation, you hear, "Um ... My powers tell me that if I want to come closer to you ... I'll be safe from your powers if I destroy my own head. Mind explaining that?"
