The changes aren't implemented immediately. Oh no. That would be too much of a… shock. To those children.
Your exploits are pretty well known, you learn from your eavesdropping on the maids' gossip. You were known to be obsessed with swords throughout the entire kingdom; you were an exception among the princesses, so it was natural. Surrounding that information was a lot of rumors about you - the maids that took care of you spent quite a bit of time laughing at some of the more outlandish ones.
Some of them weren't nice though, like the one that said your actual father was a Dragon-blooded, instead of the king!
"That could cause a lot of trouble for me, you know?" You say, back-flipping onto your bed.
"Isn't being a Dragon-blooded a good thing, princess?" Edel says. She's your personal maid, though how that's different from the other maids you're not sure. It might be because she's younger than you. She mostly helps out by carrying small things around.
"Well, not in this case." You flop back up again and point at an imaginary blackboard. "See, it could make the king not like me! And that would be bad, because I'm a princess! You can't be a princess without a king or if the king doesn't want you to be a princess. It wouldn't make sense!"
"So it's because you wan' to con… cont… keep being a princess?" Edel smooths out the wrinkles you made on the bed.
"Yeah! It would be pretty bad if I wasn't a princess." You watch Edel as she fusses over your sheets. "Oh, come over here."
"Princess?" Edel does as you say.
Then, you grab her and heave her up.
"Got you now!" you say and giggle. Edel's small enough that you can lift her around with a bit of effort.
"Princess! This is ina… ine… not good!"
"Oh, come on, stop being so serious!"
-------------
"This is the princess Kali Stormwind!" Edel announces.
There are seven children in total, not including you. Most of them are about your size - some a bit smaller, which probably means they're younger - but none of them seem to be especially fit. That most likely means that no one is interested in swords like you are.
It makes you want to drop to your hand and knees. The thought of spending so much time with people that don't like swords is just... Ugh. But you promised Bal. You have to-
"I thought the princess would be taller," a boy comments.
You puff your cheeks in outrage. How dare he! You're a princess, and he's just a son of a noble! He's not even nobility (Wait, is he? You're not sure) since he's not a princess like you. He's just someone that has the potential to become nobility.
Edel's angry too. She's grabbed him by the ear.
"Ow, ow, ow, what are you doing, you crazy girl?"
"Apologize to the princess!" She sucks in air and and holds it in her mouth.
"What? I didn't- No, not the other argh-" You grab him by the other ear too.
"Apologize!" Edel yells into his ear.
"Okay, okay, I apologize for whatever it is I did!" The boy yells.
"Hmph!"
You let go of his ear, and he hides behind a girl, clutching onto her skirt.
Now... You've cleared up a matter of respect. How shall you conduct yourself in their presence?
[] Impress them with your knowledge.
[] Outcompete them in physical activity.
[] Get to... know them better. *shudder*
[] Write in.
