I am surprised Soundwave didn't tell Megatron that Rampage let Spitfire scratch her than capturing him. He's notorious to overhear anything and nothing gets past him at all.

Hurray for repressed trauma!
The Autobots could really do with a therapist, tbh.

Missing a threadmark btw. Outside of that, awesome chappie.
Forgot a Threadmark.

Will be reading it after posting this.
Oops, added that now, thank you.

Oh, he may well have done...

Wow, excellent fic so far, and an interesting depiction of Ravage. Can't wait to see how things develop and what exactly Spitfire told her to look up. At least we know already that Decepticon data security is absolute dogwater if Orion Pax was able to get into the records like he did in canon, to say nothing of Predaking.

...

I wonder if Spitfire can flip Predaking.

Thanks, glad you like it!

I mean, the data clerk who is very good at decoding data and specifically needed enough access to do his job is one thing...

The fucking Dragon managing to put himself through a distance learning course and teach himself to talk from a random computer panel is something else though yeah lol.

As for that... well, there is one event in particular that, frankly, anyone with a conscience should try to stop and which could well be maneuvered into Predaking being friendly or at least neutral.

Ah, keeping the other Predacons being gestated by Shockwave from being killed by Megatron?

Well, specifically by the Wreckers, as part of a plan made by Starscream and approved by Megatron.

But yes.

Like... predaking is a person.

He transforms, he talks, as do the other Predacons we later see. They're Beastformers, just ones with mythological beast modes.

Which turns it from 'army of mindless warbeasts' into 'Sparkling gestation chamber'

And 'they're potential enemy recruits!' Is... Not a good reason to blow up a bunch of children?

Like, tbf I'm pretty sure the autobots didn't know that at the time, but the show also never really acknowledges that this was kind of fucked up.

Probably a result of showrunners just not really thinking things through, but like... yeah, no wonder Predaking is pissed for the rest of the show.

I feel like the whole thing kind of connects with the deal with Insecticons? Like, they can talk but AFAIK they're labeled as vermin.

I think they're grouped with Scraplets?

Insecticons from Prime, well the only one we saw able to talk was Airachnid. All of the rest were just... pretty much mindless hunters that attacked Decipticon and Autobot alike.

Hardshell could talk. I think he's also the only Insecticon we see speaking.

Edit: They can also feel fear, since I remember one running from a Scraplet swarm. Granted, it's a Scraplet Swarm, so who knows how much that counts.

theres also a few in Rid2015.

also according to the wiki, in the japanese dub they are more chatty.

Are we sure this is the same series where Optimus Prime gets what's effectively Cybertronian Excalibur?
That was decidedly Prime (Tfwiki page for the episode in question has a image with Optimus holding his brother's sword with an A New Hope quote whereas the page for the blade itself has a MOTU quote for a caption for the same image), Whereas GO (Series' actual name I shit you not) is the one where the Big OP becomes a Train-Former
Let's be honest, she's creepy about Jack in any version of Prime.
especially the JP Dub that makes her into a Primusdamn Yandere

Ravage
I've tried to describe it, but I'm using the version of Ravage that was made for the WFC/FOC artbook. They'd be a big 'primified' but this is the general design

Mostly because I like the idea of a Ravage influenced by a gunformer having blasters rather than the usual missiles, and the overall design is also pretty neat.
