You have slept in a bed. Health levels, Willpower, Virtues and Essence fully restored.

What? What the...

I sit up in my bed, only to freeze. This isn't my room. Where the-

"Ah, good morning. Hope you slept well." someone says off to my right. Turning, I see a middle-aged man, dressed in flowing robes and holding a staff - no. Not a middle-aged man. I recognize that face.

Chejop Kejak, Chosen of Secrets

Essence 6

"Who are you? And where am I?" I ask, very carefully hiding my reaction to seeing him. This can't be happening-

I mentally slap myself. Of course this can be happening. There's no such thing as impossible, especially where the Exalted are concerned.

"Ah, forgive me," he replies, "I neglected to introduce myself last night. My name is Chejop Kejak, Chosen of Jupiter." Flaring his caste mark briefly, he continued, "That was quite impressive work last night; very few newly Exalted can defeat a Raksha noble, even a Solar." Unbidden, hazy memories that I'm quite sure never happened surface; a literally inhuman face, twisted with hatred and terror, as the mortal it had sought to devour received the gift of the setting sun - I shake my head, dismissing it for now.

"I had been passing through town on unrelated business when I noticed the Raksha, and had been about to intervene when you Exalted. Afterwards, you collapsed, and I gathered you up and brought you here-" He stood, and threw back the curtains of the room-

I realized where I was instantly. Nowhere else looked like that.

"Welcome to the Salient of the Unconquered Sun, and to Yu-Shan," Chejop proclaimed, "Chosen of the Unconquered Sun. By the way, what is your name?"

I think on it for a moment. Names have power, especially here. Best not to use my real name.

"Vidicon."

Alright, a Twilight with the Gamer powers?
...
So is it going to go full Exalted (2.5/3?) mechanism, or would it go like the original mawnha?
because uncapped Solars is going to be full BS.
If I'm reading what implied in the manga right, at least.

I'm going with Exalted mechanism, but Vidicon will be getting stronger somewhat faster than your average First Age Solar. Most people will just assume he's remembering stuff from his last incarnation.

Oh my, this is gonna be interesting.
Please continue, and i wonder if the curse will affect Vidicon?
Perhaps it will, or perhaps it will not, either way.. watched.

Wait wait what? Chejop? First age Chejop?

This'll be one to watch. (Like solars weren't broken enough on their own...)

Questions:
Will the Gamer remove the Essence based limiter on Abilities and Attributes? Also how fast you can increase Essence?

Will Gamer's Mind protect from the Great Curse?

Will the Gamer ability allow the learning of charms from other Exalts, especially Infernal or Abyssal? Though the Air Dragonblooded flight charm, or the Terrestrial Exalted's Essence bolts wouldn't be too bad either.

Snip 2
Kejak talked with me for about half an hour, giving me a brief overview of things I'd need to know now. What Sidereals were, what I was, an outline of my powers, etc. He left as the moon outside was replaced by the sun (the lighting conditions changing in response to the Games of Divinity), promising to send someone by later for more assistance.

I felt like I was balancing on the edge of a soulsteel beamklave the whole time. I didn't want to appear too ignorant of things which should be common knowledge - apparently, I was from an outlying village in the East, not far from the Noss Fens - but I didn't dare let Kejak even suspect that I knew far more secrets than even Jupiter. THAT would likely be a quick trip to BAD END, and I wasn't sure just how much my next incarnation would recall. Best not to risk it.

As soon as he left, I moved over to the full-length mirror. I was still fairly pale, my hair (long and curly) and eyes (blue/gray) hadn't changed, and I was still male - THAT was a relief. I had NO desire to endure 3000+ years of periods. But other than that...

My cheekbones were narrower, and I was nowhere near as heavyset as I had been. I certainly wasn't a bodybuilder, but I was officially in much better shape than I had been. Most people back home wouldn't recognize me - NO. I am NOT thinking about that. There was one more thing of interest...

Vidicon, Twilight Caste
Essence 3

I had only a passing familiarity with the Korean manwha (strange word, probably means the same as manga, I thought) known as The Gamer, but I knew what it meant. I could perceive the world and people around me as if it and they were all one vast videogame, with me as the PC. Okay then...

"Um, stats?"

....you totally need to invent, and then teach, the Solar Charm "The Truth Shines Through".

And then push someone into Limit Break during the Carnival of Meeting.

Edit: for those that don't know, it makes it Obvious to observers when the user is suffering UMI. This includes the Great Curse.

I'm unfamiliar with Exalted, but I think this means something important. Halp?
All exalted suffer from the Great Curse, a final "fuck you" from the primordials that died in the Primordial War and became the Neverborn. In Solars the curse manifests as twisted exagerations of thier Virtues when they enter Limit Break status from too much stress. A compassionate Solar would become cruel or break down weeping at the slightest thing, while a valorous person might enter a berserk rage. The Curse eventually got so bad that the Sidreals went and had all the Solars murdered and thier exaltations sealed away.

In short, he's the only Exalted in the setting who isn't a ticking timebomb of crazy.

More than that, its a subtle crazy. The insanity each individual suffers happens to look like an extension of their personality not something obvious on any level. With the exception of the one charm mentioned a couple posts above.

Also Primordials are the ones who made Creation, the setting, in the first place and then got revolted against because they were assholes. Kinda, they were so big humans were literally like ants to them so they didn't even really notice them most of the time. And everyone's an asshole in Creation. *Shrug*

Also Sidereals have their own curse that makes it so that the more that are planning the worse the fallout and the more stubborn they get with seeing those plans through.

I bet that the reason he does not have the curse is the mind of the gamer ability or what ever his equivalent is.

Maybe. On the other hand, Alchemical Exalts also lack the Curse, as they did not exist at the time it was laid...

Truth Shines Through makes it Obvious that the Solar is not themselves in Limit Break, but ONLY to those who have a positive Intimacy to the Solar in question. Nobody else notices anything.

That's why you set them off during the Carnival of Meeting. With that many people about someone's bound to notice. Like Sol, for instance.

And I haven't seen the limit track for the non-broken version of the thing either.

... That is a canon thing, right? 10 Limit and you lose 1 point of per. Willpower for a month? We're doing that in another quest on SV because Creation and everyone in it has been dead a long, long time. So no Great Curse hounding us. I just can't remember if its canon or house-ruled.

IIRC that was how it was prior to the Great Curse. Once an Exalt's Limit Track filled they lost a point of permanent willpower. That's why the Great Curse worked. Exaltations are designed so that they can not be lessened. The Great Curse was an 'improvement' in that when your Limit Track hit 10 it refilled your Temporary(?) Willpower at the minor cost of going crazy for a bit.

That is indeed canon and applied to all exalted, not just Solars. Autochthon included the original Limit Track as a way for exalts to cope with Things Not Meant To Be Seen.

Yup. Stopping Reality from closing down and standing outside said Reality for an instant and an eternity all the while acting like a door-stop... Got around 20 limit for that. Saved all of Japan, Korea, and a good chunk of China though. She was only like 3 hours old too.

Sorry about derail, but I can't get over actually pulling that off. And its still Solar Bullshit so... *Shrug*
Well, that shold be an interesting read. And more impressive than one of the first things in game being to smash some thugs smuggling artifacts with the warehouse they were in and them not even noticing it. I was a zenith(those were the priest guys right?)

Dawn is Warrior-King and/or General-King, Zenith is Priest-King, Twilight is SCIENCE!-King and/or Artificer-King and/or Sorcerer-King, Night is Assassin-King and/or Underworld-King, Eclipse is Ambassador-King and/or Buracracy-King. Usually "and".

Honestly Amu would probably score pretty damn high on "Most impressive feat as or right after you Exalted", so... *Shrug*
