He meant the GW end times, and no sane man should. Their probably will be one, but fate is fickle and anything like what happened in canon, Might or Might not happen, but anything on the same consistently stupid ideas won't. Granted thats all on the chaos side, we also did a lot of stupid things, which we are definitely going to try and not do.

So best case scenario, Archaon dies and the storm gets delayed and not ending with the world destroyed. If not, then a more better written story involving us fighting to help save the world again, Maybe something like https://m.fanfiction.net/s/12482429/1/The-End-Times-Retold, maybe something not. But definitely something that makes it have us work to fight for and act upon and definitely have our moment of defining.

The other cases and even worst case scenario means the fall of most of the factions of order, and even a GAME OVER. But I'm confident that the dice gods will love us enough to not see that happen. And more fittingly ending with us going to Naggorath and murdering everything before taking everything from those Druchi Bastards and somebody being chosen as out successor, thus creating an actual state for the world's greatest empire.

So if Archaon is going to be the Everchosen, does that mean that End of Times will be going ahead in this quest?

Archaon became the Chosen of all four Chaos Gods in 2519, prior to the events of both the Storm of Chaos and the End Times, IIRC. He will still become the Chosen One, but not necessarily in 2519. It could happen in 2517, or maybe in 2525, and subsequent events depend on it.

Oh, I'm so excited for this. The original Ulthuan quest is the quest that lead me here!

[X] Plan Establishing Ourselves

Sounds good. Political power is essential in such a fragmented state.

In the future, I think I will push for options that protect Ulthuan while preserving the population as much as possible, such as those mist options.

So, the metaknowledge that is still valid is that Archaeon exists, and is already well on his path to Everchosen.

We don't know where or when he will attack, although it'd probably fair to assume "the empire" and "within a couple of decades at the most."

So yes, Culling chaos is probably wise, but not something we should do at the expense of establishing ourselves. Having a strong start gives us more force to throw against Chaos eventually, while starting to kill chaos as a "first order of business" seems... well, not unwise. But unorthodox.

[X] Plan Establishing Ourselves
-[X] Avelorn. A visit to this kingdom will also lead to a year-long ritual marriage to Queen Alarielle, though hardly anything is required of you. Alariel has already given birth to her eldest daughter from Finubar, who will become her heiress, so you just need to keep up appearances.
-[X] Collection of information. So far, there has been little progress in the investigation into his death. Perhaps you should make your own efforts to intensify the search? (2 dice)
-[X] Not just a formality. Even though the Queen of Avelorn already has a chosen one, a closer relationship with her would be extremely beneficial to you as a king. For many millennia, dealing with her has been nothing more than a formality, but with her full support, there is no force on Ulthuan that can resist you. (2 dice)
-[X] Reject your titles. Most of the Kings of Ulthuan, since Caledor the Great, have renounced their previous titles as evidence of their future impartiality and willingness to serve not only for the good of their native land, but of Ulthuan as a whole. However, you could keep these titles for yourself, for example, as a demonstration of your loyalty to the agreements that gave you this throne. Undoubtedly, the aristocrats will like it if you demonstrate dependence on them in this way. [2 dice]

So question about the mechanics. Each option we could pick has a hidden DC right? And each dice we roll is a D100? If we fail a check, does progress remain and we can assign another dice in future, or is it once and done?

You mentioned influence in the opening post, how does that work? Or our dice are the influence?

Our dice are influence that we currently have, and I hate that their are no dc for anyone to observe, else I wouldn't be fearing a nat 1 on a critical check.

Anyway, if we don't pass the DC, no progress but it dosent disappear or anything like that. A d100 is what we use, and until the object of doing something to get it done, we can put it off for a year or 6.

[X] Plan Wizardry and Warpcraft
-[X] Nagarythe. Visiting Nagarythe is a dangerous enough act, but if you do, you will establish yourself as a warrior king who intends to hold the northern borders from the incursions of your dark kin.
-[X] Suppress the Chaos Worshipers. Ulthuan's fleet could be sent to the northern seas to protect the Old World and Ulthuan itself from Norse raids. It will be a very good gesture, but it will distract us from the defense of our own homeland. But here the eastern principalities will be grateful. [1 Dice]
-[X] Monsters appear due to magical gaps in the mountains, they are part of the Great Vortex and it is impossible to completely get rid of them. But we could close them as they become available, what would the Loremasters of Saphery have to say about that? [2 Dice]
-[X] The forests of Avelorn are full of wonderful magical creatures and spirits, is it possible to find a common language with them? [1 Dice]
-[X] Saphery is a country of powerful magicians, and few other places in the east have such famous magicians. Few places besides Lustria. [1 Dice]
-[X] The Dragons of Caledor are some of Ulthuan's oldest allies, but many of the old serpents are now in a dead sleep, and very few are awakened by it in our time. Is there any way to reverse this process? [1 Dice]

Really hope @Imrix is okay with this and not cause Karlov any problems.

    -[X] The involvement of the masters from the White Tower may be useful in determining the exact cause of Finubar's death. Right now, his body is being preserved by the Phoenix guards at the Shrine of Asuryan, but you could try to negotiate with both sides about examining his body. (2 dice)

Karlov threw 1 2-faced dice. Reason: Wizardy vs Estabilish Total: 1
1 1
Karlov threw 7 100-faced dice. Reason: Dice rolls Total: 315
16 16 81 81 40 40 96 96 12 12 10 10 60 60

So If I'm reading this distribution right, Monster Hunting and the Forest Beings went right, and everything else went wrong.

SO if I'm reading this right.....

* Nagarythe - autopass
* Suppress the Chaos Worshipers. - 81
* Monsters appear due to magical gaps in the mountains - 40 96
* The forests of Avelorn are full of wonderful magical creatures and spirits, is it possible to find a common language with them? - 12
* Few places besides Lustria. [1 Dice] - 10
* The Dragons of Caledor are some of Ulthuan's oldest allies - 60

@Karlov Is this correct?
