Phantom Thief Quest [Dropped]

[X] Plan NewBlades
-[X] Feature Blur Lvl 1

-[X] Intangibility Lvl 3
-[X] Shadow Walk Lvl 1
-[X] Centre of Balance Lvl 1

Mmmm... New plan

Also, I cannot begin to decribe the infinite usefulness of improved balance

PHYSICALLY connected. There's a pane of glass blocking the way.
So if the shadow fell through, say a grate in an open window we could pass through it? If we had both it and intangibility at a higher level could we combine them? (Sorry to keep going on about this. I'm just trying to figure out how it all works)

And we will be able to get more of these abilities as we improve, right?

-[X] Flexibility Lvl 1 -
Permanently allows for slightly improved physical bending and contortion.
-[X] Centre of Balance Lvl 1 - Balance permanently improved by 20%.
-[X] Life Sense Lvl 3 - Can sense human, animal and plant life for up to 10 seconds, in a range of 5 metres. Must have at least two minutes between uses.
-[X] Regeneration Lvl 1 - Healing speed increased by 10%, 20% less likely to leave scarring or other damage.

Gets us use of(and starts leveling) flexibility(can be useful in crawling through tight spaces and stuff) and better balance(perfect for if we're on a ledge or something) and regeneration(simply so we can have it immediately and so we can start leveling it ASAP to offset any possible future injuries). Life sense is chosen to be level 3 because if we're sneaking around, we can be able to check the guards positions if they are close by and at level 3, it should increase the range and the amount of time we can use it for.*New info* It also decreases the time between uses! This is what Zen said it'd be: Life Sense Lvl 3 - Can sense human, animal and plant life for up to 30 seconds, in a range of 10 metres. Must have at least 90 seconds between uses.

Grate should be fine because the shadow is physically connected. It couldn't combine with Intangibility at lower levels, but at higher ones, yes. And yes, more abilities as you improve. These are just basic, fairly crappy ones for now (plus you can write-in ones as well). You'll be able to develop more abilities or level up these ones in a number of ways you'll discover as you go along, but the main one is from absorbing demonic energy (you automatically get an absorption power).

The 4d100 was for how many abilities you got, it was an easy DC of 50 per power, so you have the maximum available for now.

Yes, although the decrease gets smaller each level. Something like Life Sense can, at higher levels reach the point where it's pretty much instantaneous, though. Eventually.

Level 45-50 when it's instantaneous? Or is it lower? Or higher? How high can the levels go anyways?

IT'S A MYSTERY~

But seriously, some powers can only go to level 5, some to 10, some beyond that. Sometimes at reaching a certain level, they'll evolve into a skill with wider applications. I'm not going to prejudice people into getting certain powers by saying what they evolve into!

(You'll also be able to develop and level up regular non-magic skills, like sneaking, too.)

Should cover most bases: We want to keep people from recognising/noticing us, we want to be able to break into things without actually doing harm to them (shadow walk would be good too, but with intangibility we should be able to reach into glass casings and such), we want to be able to see people coming before they see us and we want to have improved survivability. I'd love to have centre of balance as well, but of the things I want that's the one most likely to be improved by mere mundane means.

Question.

What is the point of Feature Blur? All we have to do is wear a mask or any other disguise, such as pretending to be someone else, and it becomes mostly useless.

I also don't think we need Shadow Walk if we have Intangibility, but meh, up to you all there.

[X] Write in - Must be okayed by GM.
Can we have a disguise ability, to make ourself look like someone else?

1. I wanted feature blur so that even our masks would be subject to some ambiguity. After all, a costume is just as distinctive as a face, if in different ways
2. It's more of a synchro thing; Shadow Walk takes us to things, and Intangibility takes us through them. They work well together, imo.

It may evolve into a better skill at higher levels. At lower levels yes, a mask is better.

You can train up a non-magical disguise ability, do a write-in for a magical one, or evolve a magical disguise power from a lesser power when they get to a high enough level.

Eh, I didn't really care about finding what level it would become instantaneous at. I just wanted to know how far skills can go(as in, the MAX), which, if I'm reading this right, depends on the skill itself?
