Month 2 (May): Nasuverse (HFTE), Clock Tower (4)

    • I had cancelled lessons the next day and instead was monitoring Sion. I also took the time to properly document the procedure, taking into account the cameras I put in the operation room just for this task.

    At around noon Sion started stirring, so I brought a jar of water for her.

    "Uhm... hmmm..."

    "Easy there", I said in a soft tone, "you should feel weaker than normal, but that will pass eventually. Here's some water, you should be able to grab it without problems."

    As I handled the glass to her, she managed to grab it with both hands before drinking it with gusto. After two more cups she was awaken enough to take in on her surroundings.

    "Where am I?"

    "You're on a parallel world Clock Tower. Zereltch rescued you and brought you here to get some medical aid, except he overshot a bit and came to this world instead of a nearby one. Fortunately for you, he found just the right world that could help you with your condition."

    She stared blankly at me for a moment, before realization came to her. "It's gone... it's gone!"

    "Hopefully you're not talking about your friend in your skull. I did my best not to tamper with that."

    "I... no, she's still there. But the thirst of blood, it's not there anymore!" She said, excited at the discovery. "But how? Did you found the cure of vampirism in this world?"

    "Well", I said while scratching my cheek, "it could be considered a cure for vampirism, though I think it worked better on you because you weren't fully a vampire yet. Also, since you are in a new body now you might feel a bit weird, you will need some physiotherapy and perhaps make sure your magic isn't affected by the procedure. It shouldn't make it worse, but since it's different from before you might need to take some time off to train yourself back to shape."

    She nodded, before trying to move a bit her body. "How do you feel?" I asked her as I saw her shaking a little bit.

    "It's... different, not bad just, different. You also said I should feel weaker? It's strange because I feel myself full of energy compared with before."

    "Hmm, well, the new body I gave you was supposed to be an augmented one so that's to be expected."

    "I see", finally said trying to appear calm, but still squirming on the bed.

    "If you want, I can fetch some clutches for you so you can walk around, then we can talk a bit on how to make a body for your friend."

    "You, you can do that?"

    "Sure. It will require one more step in the procedure to pull that off, but what is yet another miracle in someone's career, eh?"

    She didn't said anything, probably not used to how things works around here.

    Not really interested in the process of extraction of the friend, wanna know what the Zelretch are talking about.

    It's already more popular, but I can't not throw my vote behind this. It sounds awesome.

    This should be good for a laugh. But now we have to fix up two Zelretchs though... oh well. More experience in the procedure should mean we get a better bonus for when we get around to doing it to ourself since the people actually doing the procedure will have more examples to study from.

    • "So, where did you found him?" Asked the man sitting on the counter.

    "Quite far that-a-way." Replied another man that could be the twin of the first.

    Both men where Kischur Zelretch Schneirong, from different parallel worlds. Usually they don't physically visit each other physically in order not to cause mass panic whenever they arrive, but some places they often hang out and drink if they want to have a chat.

    The first Zelretch took a look in a certain direction, narrowed his eyes for a few moments before turning back to his counterpart. "There's nothing there."

    "Nothing magical yes", corrected the second Zelretch, "certainly not something that would scream someone being able to use Kaleidoscope to the degree that would catch my attention from so far away, and yet it happened. Someone managed to deduce the inner workings of the Kaleidoscope on his own in a universe that's unsuited for such experiences."

    "The boy?"

    "Almost", Zelretch shook his head, "an alternate counterpart of his. According to him, his alternate basically invaded his home and 'uplifted' him by giving the boy some random knowledge field affinity. Supposedly, his alternate self was disgusted with how many existences were 'abject failures' according to him."

    "Hmm", the first Zelretch took his glass of wine and enjoyed the flavor for a moment, before focusing on his counterpart. "Go on."

    The second Zelretch took a swing of his whiskey, before asking the master to refill his glass.

    "The boy was really lucky, in that his primary affinity was that of the Kaleidoscope. Or perhaps you could say it was to be expected, since I doubt the boy's alternate counterpart wasn't looking for a potential user of the Kaleidoscope. Either way, you could say the boy is a genuine genius since his understanding of the core principles are impeccable. I admit I was disappointed when I first saw him, but it took him only ten years to completely master the basics according to him, and he's getting closer to finishing the more advanced aspects of the Kaleidoscope."

    "Doesn't he already have full knowledge of the Kaleidoscope? What's holding him back from fully tapping into his potential?"

    "Oh, but his approach is allowing him to reach his full potential. Did you know he made a Higher Dimensional Energy Tap using common components off the shelf for civilian customers? By hand and without assistance of magic or technology more advanced than early 21st century?"

    "Hmm, that does sound harder than it looks. How long did it take to be made?"

    "Three months, he made it on his recreational hours. He also made his belt that allows him to travel between dimensions, which currently have a disintegrator and a shield module installed after someone was dumb enough to challenge him to a duel."

    "That's about-"

    "Which he made in three hours with basically what he had in his pockets."

    "... alright that does sound a bit impressive. Specially if he came from that-a-way. Nothing ever happens that-a-way."

    "Indeed", the Zelretch nursing his whiskey said. "By the way, which method you found to combat your vampirism?"

    "What makes you believe I found a method to combat my vampirism?", asked the Zelretch with his glass of wine stopped midway towards his mouth.

    "Oh please, I know you would love to rub in my face that you found a solution to our vampirism. It's what I would do, after all."

    "Not all of us act like petty children."

    "So are you telling me you didn't found a method to combat your vampirism?"

    "I didn't said that."

    Zelretch took another swing of his whiskey before it was refilled once more. "Well, joke's on you, I already got my own cure."

    "The boy."

    "The boy." Comfirmed Zelretch, "if there's one thing realities like the ones in that-a-way is good for is to collect data from other realities and turn them into entertainment."

    "I still believe that's the work of some bored creator god actively meddling with things instead of a genuinely natural phenomena."

    "We all have our pet theories", allowed Zelretch before he called for the master to bring him the bill. "Anyway I need to drop those components back to Andre. If I'm right he shouldn't actually need all of them by the time he's ready to cure me, but it's better to be prepared."

    As the second Zelretch left Ahnenerbe, giving a nod to a tall red haired young man coming in, the first Zelretch finished his wine.

    "He somehow finds someone that's on his way to be a master of the Second while at the same time being an user of the Heaven's Feel, while in my world things will go to Scheiße soon enough. Well, that just means I need to up my game."

    As the first Zelretch left, the young man paused for a moment.

    "Did that man's twin talked about the Holy Grail War?"
