Before you assume the worst, you're only half-right.
This story is not being abandoned or discontinued, but it is being rewritten from the ground-up. Looking over my notes and what I had written so far, I couldn't help but feel immensely unsatisfied or just felt what I wrote didn't match what I was going for. With that in mind, I am starting over from scratch. When the story will be rebooted, I cannot say, but in any case, I am now left with a vacant slot for my stories as I rework Parabellum.
...I'll be honest. I am a little miffed I am doing this, especially since the next chapter was halfway done and I get a chance to show off Zagreus more. Hopefully, the rewrite will be even better (and I do better with the Sophia subplot). On that note, since I have no idea when this story is coming back and you guys have been bugging me about it, I'm comfortable at least sharing this.
So, as mentioned previously, Piggot's stupid decision to keep Sophia is wildly out of character to some and only adds to the sheer dumpster fire the PRT is sitting on while giving Coil prime ammunition to destroy Emily's career. This is intentional as "Piggot" is actually a god in disguise, who initially wanted to cause some mischief (and is the reason why Taylor's corpse was found so late for little more than the LOLs), but ended up with a GOLD MINE when Taylor comes back to life and becomes Hades' Champion. This leads to the god in turn to get into contact with another god, who decides they want to test Hades' newest champ and the chick who's supposedly gonna kill Scion...who in turn kills Sophia and makes her corpse their newest meat suit. When Piggot (who was away on vacation as mentioned early in the story) returns, she's fucking livid someone has been impersonating her and nobody at the PRT knew what was going on.
The reason I'm bringing this up is that I'm unsure whether to keep this subplot in the rewritten version. If I do decide to keep it, it will be relegated to the background and touched on in certain character interludes.
