Delfire Forge (Ravenwood) (200CP)
Actually three items. A single, moderately powerful orb of delfire, a metal frame that can store an orb of delfire and allow the one that holds it to use the orb without being a kiln, and a large furnace that, if you plug the frame into it while it holds an orb of delfire, can be used to treat metals with arcane energy while also acting as a forge.
I just realized this, but you're using the old item and not the updated one. It got a bit of an upgrade, but also a bit of a downgrade.

Mystic Forge (200cp, Discount Traveler): Actually two items. A metal frame that can store mystical energies of all sorts and a large furnace that, if you plug the frame into it while it holds mystic energies, can be used to treat metals with that energy while also acting as a forge. This can even take power from sources that don't normally use an energy like Anima or The Ink. The frame can also be used to hold and sustain a single orb of delfire which can be used as long as it is within the frame even if the user is not a Kiln.
Just thought I'd point it out as the author of the jump.

No win situation Coil. You are looking worse and worse each time you try to mess with tay tay... Why havent you gone the other way and tried to get into her good graces instead?
He doesn't do 'good graces' - he uses hard control.

Her hasn't figured out that Taylor is beyond control. And, yes, I do hope that he's just outed himself.

There is a point for the timeline splits. The split are show what Calvert is trying on Taylor to get her under his thumb and in the protectorate/wards. It also provides humor to us that enjoy Calvert failing so hard in this. Blank may have been a cooler perk to have however this perk which allows her to see the different timeline is more funny to read. Thank you for the update.

I'm tired of the multiple timelines. There was no point in reading the chapter because none of it happened.

It gives Taylor some "real world" experience in beating the entire PRT like a kettle drum, and lets her learn their tricks without any repercussion. It also let her improve on using her shadow clones. But yeah, I feel the Coil segments drag out for... twice as long as they need to be.

With him tied up on the phone with the SEC though, that means he's gotta stop messing with her so he can keep splitting the phone call up to navigate that minefield.

Taylor can't philosophize away tinkertech. Gotta love the containment foam. It's the solution to so many problems.

Calvert has to be internally foaming right now.
Good word choice.

It's free fights. Best thing for Taylor.

I'm honestly enjoying the Coil alternate timeline fights. I would very much not enjoy the many alternate timelines of negotiating between Taylor, Calvert, and the SEC. But maybe people like that sort of thing?

he probably did, a lot, and gave up on it back before she gained the ability to know about discarded timelines

@happynslappy You know Shadow Clones are solid, right? They can physically interact with things and take a solid hit before being dispelled. The plain Clone Technique is the one that produces illusions.

Hello there, thanks for stopping by. I'm not gonna bother to change it. Doesn't seem like that big a deal for my story honestly.

Those are the shadow clones that are restricted to Jonin and above due to chakra exhaustion concerns. Naruto never had to worry about that.

I'm honestly shocked the OG shadow clone didn't see more use by mooks in the anime.

Basically this. Don't know what yall are thinking complaining about more action in my story. Especially with how short my chapters are.

What did I miss? Since when are Shadow Clones intangible holograms like regular clones? I thought their whole point was that they were corporeal? The linked hivemind is fun though.

Considering earth Bet doesn't have chakra or is very limited on it unlike Naruto. It makes sense ethe clones are more incorporeal than corporeal.

Taylor made regular ninjutsu clones, which are basically holograms. She doesn't have enough chakra to make Shadow Clones since she is still a beginner ninja. Somehow Queen Administrator turned them into a hivemind so Taylor can see what all the clones do.

The basic one is called just Clone Technique.
So it is the basic clone technique, linked vie Queenie Halp, and just misnamed?

Um, no. It was called shadow clones... because they are shadows. It was one of the basic three ninjutsu required to learn to graduate child soldier school.
The one Academy wants is just the Clone(Bunshin), the harder one is Shadow Clone(Kage Bunsin) that shares chakra and all the good stuff. These are two different techniques. At least this is what is told in the Naruto Wiki. Also it's specifically the Multi-Shadow Clone technique that is forbidden due to health reasons.

The basic illusion one was a requirement, yes. It was just called the Clone technique. Shadow Clones was in the scroll of dangerous/restricted techniques that Naruto grabs in episode 1. Shadow Clones divide a person's chakra evenly between the clone and caster, are tangible until solidly struck, and transfer experiences back to the Main; it's why the technique is usually restricted to particularly strong Jonin or higher, they had the reserves to not kill themselves trying to cast it. Naruto had ALL the chakra and nearly no control so Shadow Clones were the first clone (and possibly only) that he was able to cast. He was the equivalent of trying to fill a paper cup with a fire hose when casting the standard Academy clone. Just fyi. Please continue to write your wonderful story, I was simple confused by some of the terms thrown around.
