It's my birthday today, so I'm gonna be way distracted later on. But instead of getting me presents, I'm gonna give YOU all the presents.
no new chapter though I'm working on it, but I did type up a fun snippet on what if it was like if Taylor accidentally teleported to some other universe besides Fallout. Aka my little gift to you all.
I may expand on those snippets later on, I dunno. Depends on what feedback I get on certain snippets.
And yeah I've been planning little shorts on what it would be like if Taylor teleported to different worlds. Like the DC Universe, Marvel, etc.
this first one, it's the Tiger and bunny tv show. for those who aren't familar with it, it's a superhero anime set in a very futuristic looking 80s world that's both cyberpunk and art deco all at once. what, you thought My Hero Academia was the only Superhero Anime around?

--Tiger and Bunny universe--
Taylor woke to the sound of a hospital heart monitor beeping and the sterile smell that hospitals so often had hit her nostrils.
She was slowly waking up, and also absorbing all of this information that her brain was feeding her.
Huh. The last thing she remembered, she had been trapped in the locker and was so desperate to escape the stench and the bugs that she suddenly found herself elsewhere. And not anywhere else, but she had found herself in the middle of what looked like a battle between capes (who she didn't recognize at all) and some criminals who looked as if they had robbed a bank and were currently shooting back at the capes.
The two groups had actually stopped fighting to stare at the strange girl covered in….. Gross unmentionable stuff…. Who had seemingly appeared out of nowhere? Taylor stared back at them for a few seconds, before finally throwing up and then passing out.
….. Taylor digested this mentally, though she hadn't fully realized what had actually happened there. All she knew was, she was out of the locker and was happier for it, though she was confused as to where she was now. It didn't even occur to herself that it was strange how she had seemingly teleported elsewhere.
It would be only when she was far more clear-headed, that she would feel embarrassed that it had taken her so long to realize what happened.
Her eyes were fully open now, as she looked around the room and noted that this place seemed way too advanced for a normal hospital. None of the hospitals in Brockton Bay ever looked like this at all, so maybe she was in a protectorate building or something?
The reason why she thought this, was due to the heart monitor and other machines that seemed oddly familiar yet looked very sci-fi almost like they came straight out of the star trek TV show.
She tried to sit up in bed, only to find out that she was strapped down to the bed.
"The heck??" she cried out and then let out a loud sound of frustration at this turn of events.
But thankfully she didn't have to wait too long before a doctor came in and saw that she was awake.
"Ah, the mystery girl is awake!" He said out loud rather unnecessarily in her opinion as he walked over and pulled some item out of his white lab coat's pocket. She assumed it to be a penlight because it's what it looked like to her.
"And how is mystery girl feeling now, hmm? Can you tell me your name, and what date it is now?" The doctor asked as he stared shining a light in her eyes.
"Uhh… My name is Taylor Hebert. That's HEBERT, not Herbert. Umm, last time I looked the date was January in the year 2011."
The doctor was nodding along writing everything down on the medical chart, until the last part. He paused, and then asked, "Are you sure about the date?"
"Yes?" Taylor was puzzled because there was no way she had been out for longer than a year or a month, as her body didn't feel that frail or feeble to have stayed in bed for that long.
The doctor shot her a look. "It's currently the year 1980. You wanna try that again?"
WHAT! There was no way she traveled back in time at all… not with the monitors here being ridiculously high-tech. That didn't make sense at all.
Sure, Scion had appeared on the scene by this time, but it would take years for Tinker-tech to arrive at this point.
The doctor shook his head in pity. "Must've suffered from a head injury. Do you mind if I open a window? I think you could do with some fresh air."
Taylor just silently nodded, highly confused by this point.
The doctor pulled up the blinds to reveal a night city scene that glittered brightly thanks to all the neon lights. But what really caught Taylor's attention, was the fact that the
city looked nothing like any city Taylor had been to or even heard of. The whole Megacity, because it couldn't be anything else, actually had this weird three-tier construction going on, with each layer having buildings on top of each other. It led to the illusion that you had separate buildings that had been stacked on each other like a cake. And the whole thing was held up by massive pillars designed to look like giant statues.
It was somehow a marriage of both cyberpunk-like and old-fashioned Art Deco all at the same time.
And the nearby TV which had been on this whole time, suddenly switched over to a newsflash alert, as it blared "Coming to you live, it's HERO TV!"
The newscaster then beamed at the viewers as she said, "Currently, it seems that we have a bunch of criminals who hit an armored truck full of cash and hijacked it. But never fear, for our heroes are on the case!"
With that, the video feed switched over to the capes that Taylor had seen seconds before she had passed out.
The newscaster was all too happy to introduce everyone for the benefit of anybody who hadn't somehow learned of them by now.
"First on the scene, we have
Sky High! That's 50 points."
The TV kept on rambling like that, introducing everyone from
Blue Rose to
Origami Cyclone, until they finally got to the
Tiger and
Bunny duo, who looked as if they were vaguely inspired by Sentai Heroes.
"Oh boy." Taylor had a sinking feeling that she wasn't in Earth Bet anymore.
