Nuka-Girl: The Lone Teleporter (Or: "That time Taylor found herself in the Fallout Universe").

Well, Nora's pretty much completed the tasks she was sent out to New Vegas to accomplish. That being said...
Nora might actually end up rebuilding most of New Vegas at this point. XD
Both she and her Shard do seem to be pretty insistent on full renovation once they get their hooks into a settlement. It's not exactly full-blown OCD at work, but they both prefer having every subsystem of the community to have the best repair level to minimize repair issues for as long as possible. After all, that's the best way to maintain community morale at optimum levels.

Speaking of repair issues, I wonder if Nora will talk with Mr. House about a training program for some human service people to do maintenance, or if he'll stick to a robot task force for that? On the one hand, it would be another job market to help boost the economy, but robots are arguably a more reliable work group.

Still hoping for an encounter between Shaun and Nora and the intelligent deathclaw while they're out in that part of the country. I'll grant that the last thing humanity needs is a viable, fully intelligent species like that as a direct competitor, but my gaming mindset can't help but appreciate the synergy that could be achieved if humans and Smartclaws learned to work towards common goals.

So, how long till she goes back from her 'Vegas Vacation'?

Is the casino still kid friendly or will Nora need to refurbish them all?

Nora: "Just as soon as I get finished with these last few touchups...."

Shaun: (sotto voce)"Probably about a month, providing Cogsworth and I can keep her on a regular schedule for rest and meal breaks."

Is the casino still kid friendly or will Nora need to refurbish them all?
Guaranteed that she'd make at least one casino kid-friendly. After all, recreational activities for the community youth are also an important part of morale. Hmmm... Given the tech available, I think that it would be possible for her to create a non-horror version of Fazbear's, complete with robotic characters. Would it be a good idea, long term?...

Probably depends on whether or not the computer control system is secured against malignant hackers.

I think Nora is already talking Robert House into going for a mix there--- training humans while accompanied by robots. pushing to improve the economy there but still having robots around in case something happens to humans. this way humans still get paid, etc.

as for the smart claws... unfortunately, I thought they all died out during Fallout 2 with the last ones seen in fallout tactics as they were unable to breed together. I did hear about a good ending that we never got, due to a bug but I didn't know about it at the time and thought the deathclaws were meant to die out.

But who's to say Panacea can't bring them back in some form? if they were originally man-made deathclaws by the enclave then Panceca can do better than the Enclave. make them all puppy-like and very smart... but without some of the downsides of dogs. (sometimes dogs do randomly maul people due to the brain misfiring and triggering some old instinct.) they could even eventually start mimicking speech over time like parrots do, but with a better understanding of what the words actually mean.

So, Vegas had a Vault built underground, thru a series of events Mr. House won the Vault, stripped it of tech and filled it with cement. Can Nora bargain for ownership and restore it to a usable site?

Omake by KnightOwl-- What if Nora and Shaun got transported to the Star wars universe?
I couldn't help it!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"That is no moon..." Leia stated with some dread as they approached the rendezous point they had been given by some Rebel allies, only to find this...

"Did we capture the Death Star and no one told us?" Luke asked as they made their cautious approach, only for his eyes to widen at the fact that instead of the large laser it used to destroy planets... It had a large hangar bay.

"This is Home One to approaching vessel," They were suddenly hailed by a motherly voice over the comms. "we have received your credentials and want to welcome you home Princess Leia Organa..."

"...Thank you very much...Home One..." Leia replied in a diplomatic voice as some X-Wings flew out of the hangar to escort them in. Never knowing that this would be a large tipping point in the war against the Empire, a massive mobile logistic center able to rearm and repair their ragged fleet.

Later becoming the main home of her Republic Task Force to counter the First Order, able to make any supplies her men needed to continue the fight. The defenses and systems built in allowing it to never be conquered by an enemy force, that and the fact it had its own Droid and Clone Forces who lived there and called it home.

Notes: My thoughts on what if Nora and Shaun were temporarily stranded in the Star Wars Universe, around the time of New Hope... And Nora finding herself there when they bring up the plans for the Death Star...The Ultimate Mobile Home...

Seriously I wonder how she would react to blueprints for Metroplex, the Transformers Titan whose alternate form is a City... A transforming city...

If she is rebuilding Vegas, she may need to charge for one more job.

Refurbishing Hoover Dam. The Motors and electrics may need replacing.

Maybe an upgrade.

May not be that hard, its above ground stuff that got blown away. I never played the full game but when I did watch it, a lot of underground structure was still in decent shape it just wasn't connected to anything still standing.

Hoover Dam is still standing, but everything still need maintenance and repairs.
Mr. House may be a genius but he does not maintain, up close and personal all the minor things.

Is Hoover being run by. Bots?

Yes, it is. if you go down the Mr. house route he sends his bots to take over the dam.

And even with the robust engineering put into the dam, the elapsed time with no regular maintenance checks probably meant that the robots would be doing a lot of spot checks for concrete rot in the dam's exposed face. On the other hand, the dam's concrete might be nearly fully cured by this point.

You'd think the radioactive heat would have helped harden the center by now. :D

Will Taylor ever let it slip that as she and Nora are apparently the highest ranking members of the US government (At least according to the old gov computer systems) on Fallout Earth then technically BB had a visit from a head of state?

I don't see how she would have a reason to do so as it wouldn't come up in normal topic conversations. although now I kinda want Fallout-Gimel to send over some robots who automatically recognize her on sight and go, "Presidental aide Taylor Hebert!"
only for Taylor to say "..... it's a long story" when the humans in the room stare at her. XD

Maybe I'll find a way to work that into the story.

(edit: remembered that she would've been counted more as a presidential aide instead of vice president due to her age, and being counted as a intern for the copyright offices).

Courier Six, The Lone Wander Guy and The Sole Surivior Nora
As promised, here is a much better picture to compensate for the lame art that nobody asked for last time.

I didn't have anything on hand in my 3d programs that would let me render scars how I wanted them to look and I wasn't willing to shell out money for that... so I had to paint that part by hand alone with my tablet. and I learned how hard it was to make scar lines and stuff that looked like it had been healed over for decades instead of being very fresh.

Anyways this is just how I picture Courier Six, Guy, and Nora in my story here.... all mostly based on their default looks in the game.

Is there any chance you can use anything from the official Tabletop game?

the fully sapient giant centipede could be neat. especially if Panacea can fix the unending hunger

I tend to stick to sources I'm most familar with. though I'm not averse to taking inspiration from things like that. I did take inspiration from Van Buren, after all.

fair enough.
theres a gun called the Magnumnomicon that can temporarily resurrect and control those it kills, they last for "a scene" then dissolve into fuming goop.
Also there are some neat new factions

sounds cursed AF. but that's the sort of weirdness I'd expect from a tabletop RPG. XD

I know her power allows her to build big things but can she use it to revamp the hoover dam? It's got to be in a pretty bad state by now. But that sucker is huge.

She definitely can do a great patch job. but for the machines within and the like, she would need blueprints. something she would hint at very strongly in order to get them. XD

What if Taylor teleported to the Tiger and Bunny universe instead of fallout universe?
It's my birthday today, so I'm gonna be way distracted later on. But instead of getting me presents, I'm gonna give YOU all the presents.

no new chapter though I'm working on it, but I did type up a fun snippet on what if it was like if Taylor accidentally teleported to some other universe besides Fallout. Aka my little gift to you all.

I may expand on those snippets later on, I dunno. Depends on what feedback I get on certain snippets.

And yeah I've been planning little shorts on what it would be like if Taylor teleported to different worlds. Like the DC Universe, Marvel, etc.

this first one, it's the Tiger and bunny tv show. for those who aren't familar with it, it's a superhero anime set in a very futuristic looking 80s world that's both cyberpunk and art deco all at once. what, you thought My Hero Academia was the only Superhero Anime around?
========================================================

--Tiger and Bunny universe--

Taylor woke to the sound of a hospital heart monitor beeping and the sterile smell that hospitals so often had hit her nostrils.

She was slowly waking up, and also absorbing all of this information that her brain was feeding her.

Huh. The last thing she remembered, she had been trapped in the locker and was so desperate to escape the stench and the bugs that she suddenly found herself elsewhere. And not anywhere else, but she had found herself in the middle of what looked like a battle between capes (who she didn't recognize at all) and some criminals who looked as if they had robbed a bank and were currently shooting back at the capes.

The two groups had actually stopped fighting to stare at the strange girl covered in….. Gross unmentionable stuff…. Who had seemingly appeared out of nowhere? Taylor stared back at them for a few seconds, before finally throwing up and then passing out.

….. Taylor digested this mentally, though she hadn't fully realized what had actually happened there. All she knew was, she was out of the locker and was happier for it, though she was confused as to where she was now. It didn't even occur to herself that it was strange how she had seemingly teleported elsewhere.

It would be only when she was far more clear-headed, that she would feel embarrassed that it had taken her so long to realize what happened.

Her eyes were fully open now, as she looked around the room and noted that this place seemed way too advanced for a normal hospital. None of the hospitals in Brockton Bay ever looked like this at all, so maybe she was in a protectorate building or something?

The reason why she thought this, was due to the heart monitor and other machines that seemed oddly familiar yet looked very sci-fi almost like they came straight out of the star trek TV show.

She tried to sit up in bed, only to find out that she was strapped down to the bed.

"The heck??" she cried out and then let out a loud sound of frustration at this turn of events.

But thankfully she didn't have to wait too long before a doctor came in and saw that she was awake.

"Ah, the mystery girl is awake!" He said out loud rather unnecessarily in her opinion as he walked over and pulled some item out of his white lab coat's pocket. She assumed it to be a penlight because it's what it looked like to her.

"And how is mystery girl feeling now, hmm? Can you tell me your name, and what date it is now?" The doctor asked as he stared shining a light in her eyes.

"Uhh… My name is Taylor Hebert. That's HEBERT, not Herbert. Umm, last time I looked the date was January in the year 2011."

The doctor was nodding along writing everything down on the medical chart, until the last part. He paused, and then asked, "Are you sure about the date?"

"Yes?" Taylor was puzzled because there was no way she had been out for longer than a year or a month, as her body didn't feel that frail or feeble to have stayed in bed for that long.

The doctor shot her a look. "It's currently the year 1980. You wanna try that again?"

WHAT! There was no way she traveled back in time at all… not with the monitors here being ridiculously high-tech. That didn't make sense at all.

Sure, Scion had appeared on the scene by this time, but it would take years for Tinker-tech to arrive at this point.

The doctor shook his head in pity. "Must've suffered from a head injury. Do you mind if I open a window? I think you could do with some fresh air."

Taylor just silently nodded, highly confused by this point.

The doctor pulled up the blinds to reveal a night city scene that glittered brightly thanks to all the neon lights. But what really caught Taylor's attention, was the fact that the city looked nothing like any city Taylor had been to or even heard of. The whole Megacity, because it couldn't be anything else, actually had this weird three-tier construction going on, with each layer having buildings on top of each other. It led to the illusion that you had separate buildings that had been stacked on each other like a cake. And the whole thing was held up by massive pillars designed to look like giant statues.

It was somehow a marriage of both cyberpunk-like and old-fashioned Art Deco all at the same time.

And the nearby TV which had been on this whole time, suddenly switched over to a newsflash alert, as it blared "Coming to you live, it's HERO TV!"

The newscaster then beamed at the viewers as she said, "Currently, it seems that we have a bunch of criminals who hit an armored truck full of cash and hijacked it. But never fear, for our heroes are on the case!"

With that, the video feed switched over to the capes that Taylor had seen seconds before she had passed out.

The newscaster was all too happy to introduce everyone for the benefit of anybody who hadn't somehow learned of them by now.

"First on the scene, we have Sky High! That's 50 points."

The TV kept on rambling like that, introducing everyone from Blue Rose to Origami Cyclone, until they finally got to the Tiger and Bunny duo, who looked as if they were vaguely inspired by Sentai Heroes.

"Oh boy." Taylor had a sinking feeling that she wasn't in Earth Bet anymore.

Happy Birthday!🎂

I actually watched the show and movies/OVAs when I was younger. I was hoping they make a new series around Tiger's daughter. There's a lot of potential there if she join the superhero business.
