I really don't like that Descorrer won. It's such a worthless option. It effectively punts an interesting character out of the story, it consigns Esmeralda to a fate that Nemo herself thought would be worse than putting her own life at risk, and it adds nothing positive to the story whatsoever. The only relevance Esmeralda can now have is if something bad happens to her. It's a plot bubble where nothing can happen unless it's detrimental to Esmeralda and by extension Nemo. With Marana there would've been risk, obviously, but there at least would've been friendship, teamwork, and character development, to say nothing of overcoming the obstacles and challenges the risk would've generated. It at least wouldn't have been a long stretch of loneliness ended by inevitable tragedy as the Descorrer option will be.
Or, you know, you could try not summing up what she'll have in a way that applies to literally every other life ever.

"A long stretch of loneliness ended by inevitable tragedy" indeed.

Don't be edgy. It makes you look immature.

Don't whine about lost votes, it makes you look immature.

In other, less controversial news, this arc is the start of the Winter War right? Did Omicron say something about extending the duration of this war to that of an actual war instead of a day, or am I misremembering?

I don't recall anything of the sort, but it's sort of possible? It can't be a war war, because we lack the manpower, but I guess it could be more than a couple skirmishes and one team fight.

Nemo should make sure to loot Esme's infirmary, now that there's no medic. If Cirucci gets hurt badly again, it could come in handy. Fortunately, Nemo herself has the regeneration, so she's better off than most.

Unfortunately, Ulquiorra does, too, so not much hope that he gets in a fight and has a few chunks knocked out of him.

I still think Nemo and Cirucci need to be thinking about what happens after this "war" is over. It wouldn't hurt to have a plan to make sure that the arrancar we like or can get along with don't get sacrificed, and if a few of Aizen's lackeys get polished off in the confusion, no tragedy there.

Pretty sure it's not. While complaining about our XP generation Omicron mentioned that this arc is not supposed to have combat and the next one is not supposed to have combat anywhere as dangerous as the Findorr battle.

So, i don't think the war will start this arc and that it is unlikely to start next arc.

See this reaction was part of the reason I'm happy it won instead of just disliking the option Descorerr was presented like we were gonna abandoned her and force her to live the loneliest, saddest, life possible. Where she would be alone forever and never talk to anyone again. Like we can't visit her for breather arcs or she can't make friends.

No, it looks very unambiguous in that quote. You've committed to playing with everything that follows the Hueco Mundo arc. Everything. Don't be going wobbly on us now.

I look forward to seeing what you plan to do with the Hell movie. And the swords-break-loose-and-do-stuff arc from the TV show, that I never actually watched. I'm sure you'll fill in any details I need, though.

While I never agreed with she will be lonely forever faction my problem was the lets drop her in Karakura nothing can posibly go wrong with that faction and the feeleng of sending her to another realm right after we made progress fells cheap.

Non-Story - Character Advancement Changes
The New Nemo Order

Several things are happening concurrently.

As you reach a baseline of Skilled or higher in all your abilities, you are butting against your innate limitations as one of the weaker Adjuchas. It was easy getting this far, but now you are struggling to become more powerful outside your Resurreccion than you were in your original masked form. As an Arrancar, you can still train, it's just becoming harder as you push against your inborn limits.

Furthermore, the last of the King's Tooth power is fading for good, and with it the strange distortion of time which caused your body to experience a day of training as an entire week, or a few minutes of combat as hours of pitched battle. This artificial enhancement gone, you find your training to bear less fruit.

Finally, you are now a Fraccion, and are saddled with duties which will occupy more of your time than before. Although Cirucci will still train with you, these are not the days when you first met her, when such training occupied most of your day. You are now good enough to actually perform the tasks she needs you for.

On the plus side - you have spent a lot of time practicing certain specific skills, and were able to break through a skill plateau before all this came down on you. These abilities are coming easier to you.

As a result, your advancement rules are changing.

Of your foundational Skills, the ones you brought to Veteran or above - Cero, Bala, and Reiatsu Control - are now your favored skills. They cost 25% less XP to upgrade.

The rest of your foundational skills - Combat Arts, Hierro, Sonido, and Reiatsu Perception - are now unfavored skills. They cost 50% more XP to upgrade.

The costs for Resurreccion, Advanced Skills and Mundane Skills are unchanged.

Additionally, the rewards for omakes are now reduced. The reward floor for non-canon omakes and fanart is now 25xp, although more may be given to higher-quality omakes and art. Canon omakes still grant 100xp.

Well you guys, if I can think of any omakes ideas I'm going to be pushing it to Sonido because we need that, but otherwise I think this works.

hmm, i can see where your coming from with the changes but it seems like your adding too much at once, halving the omake xp gain and then making a lot of the skills costs 50% more seems a bit too extreme.

On on that day.

The Salt Wars commenced.

Personally, I'd have just left Sonido at the original rate, especially since nobody was of the impression we were going to suddenly have the price go from 800 to level up to 1,200 (And it had partial progression anyway). But the rest seems perfectly fine
