Hmm. On the one hand, I'm actually way more interested in Ichigo happenings than Barragan ones for some reason right now, but on the other hand Chichimaru leaves both of them in the dust and he's more liable to be involved further down the line in the second.

Hhmm.

Ichigo gets the sword and that means he can start doing more things, or even help Cirucci against Ulq (or at least tire him out a bit for her. Get him to res and stuff). But the whole thing starts early and our allies aren't all in position.

Barragan can stare down Ulq, and it gives everyone time. But now Ulq knows whats up and it gives him more time too. He might decide to just say "Okay number 2, you're in charge of the sword for a while then." and then he leaves to report to Aizen. Do the Royal Fraccion still owe us a favor or something?

What else to consider?

Delaying would only work if Ulq was the only issue. Trying to buy time would let him alert and subsequently gather the other loyalists

Going to Barragan might scare Sadbat off, but it'll also delay us (especially since Barragan will likely want answers) and we're on the clock now. We need to leverage whatever element of surprise we still have, before Aizen and the other loyalists get word of what's going on.

"Nemo," he says, looking up at you, slightly lowering his sword. "I don't know what's going on here, but the Tercera's Fraccions tried to... It doesn't matter. I was worried I couldn't do it alone, but if you help me secure them until Ulquiorra arrives, I won't need to..."
Aww, look at him. He's so happy he won't have to kill his rebellious allies.

A shame about the real reason they'll survive.

"Then why?! For that dead godling-" he says in anger, sweating and off-balance, and finally he overextends himself in desperation.
Oh Tesla, honey... Nemo told you. She already told you how she ran away from one fight, which killed your first Master, and you already saw how she was the catalyst behind the loss of your second. This really shouldn't be a surprise for you at this point. Her best friend is Luppi, after all.

For what it's worth, I hope you and your Master somehow make it out of this war alive. Not sure how, but more impossible things have happened.

I don't think it has even been confirmed that Barragan is definitely and officially on our side, and if any part of him is wavering, running to hide under his breeches could very well push him in the wrong direction.

I prefer to minimize the odds of having two Vasto Lords on the enemy side, thank you very much.

Could we try to knock Tesla out or otherwise disable him so he cannot tell Ulquiorra what happened? Ulquiorra might not instantly realise that a full rebellion is imminent, if Tesla is unable to tell him what happened.

Then again, he would just regenerate, and I doubt Nemo is willing to kill Tesla. Too bad we don't have that dimension prison thing anymore.

Not getting a good feeling about relying on Barragan's good graces.

If we had a better handle on Barragan I would go with it, but I have no idea which way he would swing.

Time for a heroic team-up!

[X] Delay Ulquiorra. Find shelter in Barragan's court, who will not take kindly to his demands.

Ulquiorra at present has no reason to suspect this is anything more than another of those Nemo things...yet.
Its not the first time Nemo stole something for no reason, recruited others into stealing something.

But taking the sword to Ichigo has only one possible intent.
Rebellion.

If we take it to Barragan, things will get complicated, but the Bestias have a moment to recover and spread word while Ulquiorra is busy playing Chase The Nemo.
If we take it to Ichigo, Ulquiorra would know rebellion is up. He'd be quite likely to go straight to Aizen.

Its likely that ship has sailed. A combination of lvl 4 descorrer and whatever bullshit is going on with his eyes means ulquiorra can very quickly find out what is happening once he has any reason to look.

The sword isn't valuable in and of itself, it's valuable specifically combined with Ichigo.

Running to Barragan with the sword may keep the sword away from Ulquiorra, but Ulquiorra doesn't need it. He can just go grab Ichigo and lock him somewhere inaccesible, and that's that. Ichigo neutralized. Running to Barragan is only useful if we think Barragan will actually immediately fight Ulquiorra, which would admittedly be extremely useful, but seems low probability. Far more likely that Ulquiorra backs off, and then things get worse.

Now, alas, is not the time to be seeking safety. Events are in motion, and the rebels have to run faster than them, or be crushed.

Provided Tesla doesn't tell him that "it's not about the sword"... And provided that he doesn't get said info directly from Tesla's eye.

There are many reason's to steal a shinigami's sword, especially for a craftswoman witch like ourselves, but there are very few reasons to steal a sword that does not revolve around the sword itself.

THINGS ARE ESCALATING FAR TOO QUICKLY!!
WELCOME TO THE CLIMAX ZONE!
