The funny thing is, ohaguro is actually described as having helped enhance tooth health - granted in a world without toothpaste and toothbrushes.

It has interesting ties to Japanese history and theatre, so I like to use it sometimes. It's one of these things that look completely alien to Westerners, which makes them useful as an indicator of cultural difference.

I absolutely adore the mental image of Aizen and Ulquiorra having their super serious discussion and then Menoly "wheeee"ing past them and later Ichigo doing the same and both of them going "...wtf?"
 
Delusions of Lord Aizen being her husbando, probably. Obviously she doesn't get that Lord Aizen has delusions of Tier being his waifu...

She genuinely can't even see or understand that Aizen has manipulated, shaped and played her and Loly from moment one. It's really quite sad (and maddening) imo.

I wonder if it has occurred to Ichigo that it is quite possible Aizen is omitting proper context for all the things he told him (or even lying maybe).

This was...an interesting update with Menoly's and Ichigo's interactions. And Hollow!Ichigo's crush on Menoly is amusing to me.
 
I really like the part where Zangetsu was all menacing and shit until Ichigo remembers the guy is just bored and trying to pick a fight. Then they both look like a couple of bored teenagers instead of a shinigami and a hollow.

I assume Quincy!Zangetsu is missing because Ichigo is relying a lot on his hollow powers recently and since Hollow powers are antithesis to Quincy powers he just went poof until further notice?

In this story Ichigo has no Quincy powers, because the Thousand Year Blood War does not exist
 
Yet it seems like Hollow!Ichigo still got usurped by Old Man Zangetsu, so what is he suppose to be then if not Quincy?
 
God, please, AU!manga reactions. Ichigo having Orihime, Rukia,and now Menoly as potential shipping ports has got to have so many triggers and thoughts developing. Plus Ichigo actually acknowledging and dealing with the idea of the nobody shonen hero winning through friends and guts secretly having the most special heritage of all as why instead.
