[x] Luppi is at his best when fighting as one against many, and the Tres Bestias learned this in a battle of quips and mockery which did not turn out in their favor. Now they hate him and want to show him up some other time - only Harribel understands that her Fraccions thrive on such bickering, and as a result appreciates Luppi's behavior and respects Cirucci a little more for managing to keep someone likehim around.

I have to say this update was fantastic and I was smiling ear to ear throughout.

I think that with this everyone but Sadbat and Tousen should come out of this feeling positive about the gala. Starrk's happy that Lilynette has a friend and some real clothing. Barragan's had some entertainment, but should be more pleased by the opera. AAA has enjoyed the buffet and some extra individual attention. Szayel seems to have enjoyed the discussion with Alphonse and just seems altogether positive. Grimmjow hasn't had anything specific win him over, but the style of the opera is right up his alley, so he and his Fraccion should enjoy it more than not. I guess Zommari doesn't have anything specifically, but I can't think of something that would piss him off, either?

[x] After some rather contentious exchanges with Grimmjow, Luppi earned himself (and by extension you and Cirucci) some points in his esteem by taking him up on a dare and ribbing Ulquiorra and Tesla to heir faces over their being here together. Needless to say, Ulquiorra is not amused, but then when is he ever?

don't have time to ponder the mysteries of the Arrancar condition. You take the clothes back onto the desk and reach on top of one of your reagent shelves, taking the reinforced threads you once used in Cirucci's hardened outfit she took to fight Yammy. Weaving it into the outfit takes you a minute, and you not with satisfaction as you hand out the completed work to Lilynette. It should holds against Starrk's spiritual pull now.
Did Nemo just fix Staark's issue of leaking spiritual power? Will Lilynette be seeing a power up? Could even make Baraggan happy if Staark's power dips enough for his training to once again make him number one. I'm probably getting carried away but I love the idea that the only warning for all that will be an offhand comment.

Kinda want people to follow Lilynette's lead in wrecking their uniforms to the extent that Nemo can't help but make them awesome new personalised ones.

Luppi and Nemo are adorable. If she and Cirucci hadn't gotten together I'd ship this but as is, I'll accept as an adorable sibling rivalry.

I don't really care about impressing Harribel and I'm too paranoid to voluntarily further Luppi's understanding of love and relationships. Plus needling Ulquiorra is always the right choice, especially when he's been Naruto'd into some sort of relationship.

I need more snarking Bestias. I need more snarking Luppi.

If i understood this right Lyllinette is basically a super-powerful spirit-fusion reactor hooked up directly to Stark, who is a fuck off huge spirit battery. Where have we heard that before?

...

I wonder if we can get her to give us a part of herself. We might be able to work out something with Szayel so Lyllinette dumps her excess power into Yammy when Stark is full. Quality of life improvement for Stark since he needs to control less power, and Yammy becomes even mroe powerful since he is an even bigger spirit battery than Stark. Hell, i am not sure Yammy HAS an upper limit.

[X] It is to Zommari's credit that when Luppi approached him to discuss the nature and power of 'Love,' he managed to steadfastly preach his way through a deluge of double entendres and innuendos. Luppi's mockery hid another genuine attempt at understanding what makes people like you and Cirucci tick, and while Zommari left the conversation feeling he had brought some spark of enlightenment to another soul, the lessons Luppi drew were somewhat different than intended.

I enjoy Luppi learning more about love and the like. And I want to see what misunderstandings he picks up!

Nah, even with her skill Nemo wouldn't be able to make a custom-order Marana outfit with an actual power in such a short time. She just reinforced the outfit's spiritual weave so that Starrk wouldn't drain it and make it non-functional - all it does is Nemo's "standard package" of repairing itself over time, staying clean/waterproof, and self-adjusting for optimal wearing comfort.

Making something that actually helps with Starrk's overbearing spiritual pressure would be an extremely difficult project because of his sheer power. Cirucci's power limiter would snap in about five minutes if he wore it.

So we need to make Lilynette the model of the Nemo/Alphonse masterpiece, would that work?

luppi is the best and worst thing to have happened to my writing and i'm riding this banter train until i die

Yeah I find him to be a very good foil to Nemo with how he enjoys messing with people without visible fear, while Nemo is more cautious and cares very much about how her actions and appearance affects Cirucci

But now we know that Starrk shouldn't be the one wearing the power limiter.

Lilynette is the reactor. She's the one who needs to be wearing a power limiter, if we're going to control the system's output.

And Nemo has gotten a good look at Aizen's raincatcher, thanks to Aaroniero. So that's the new operating plan.
1. Build something like the raincatcher to convert spirit energy into tasty liquid refreshment.
2. Hook a tap up to Lilynette so that some of her power output can be directly siphoned off for storage before it goes to Starrk.
3. Experiment a little to get the ratios such that Starrk stays fat and happy, but isn't overflowing with lethal levels of power; balance his inflow with his natural use level.
4. Nemo has a renewable supply liquid energy stimulants to abuse in lieu of sleeping.
5. Profit.
6. Very Special Chapter where Cirucci stages an intervention over Nemo's stimulant abuse.

Oh gods, Nemo's that perfectionist tailor socialite with a drug habit and literally gets high off the experiences and sensations of others.

Whelp, that Luppi glove scene made me look like a lunatic on the bus home, thoroughly hilarious!

I loved the interactions at work here, it was so human seeing everyone bouncing off of one another and clearly having a wonderful time.

If this event doesn't give people something to fight for I don't know what will.
