Never One Without the Other - (Kancolle RPG) (No longer recruiting!)

No: no cookies, no ice-cream, no anything

No-one will get any treats of any kind when their names on the list until they apologize: and I'm the destroyer momma, so I will enforce that
That'll get the destroyers into rebellion, and you know us subs have a strategic reserve of supplies for times like this.
That's the spirit! We may have no armor! We may have shit torpedoes! But by God we have spirit!
Who needs armor when you've got the resolve of a honey badger? And if the torpedoes don't work? Ram them, use your acquired equipment and scuttling charges! Our fight's not over until we're at the bottom of the sea!

You sure you don't want to be a destroyer tender instead of a seaplane tender? Maybe a sub tender?

As I said earlier, Curtiss had facilities for tending to destroyers and smaller vessels too

Wikipedia said:
Departing Pearl Harbor, on 2 June 1942, Curtiss served as flagship for Commander, Naval Air, South Pacific, at Naval Base Noumea, from 16 June-4 August, then served as seaplane tender, flagship, repair and supply ship for destroyers and small craft engaged in the Solomon operations from Espiritu Santo, until 9 July 1943.

It wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination that as general auxiliary ship Marel couldn't get similar capabilities installed

Which means that I and I alone control the candy rations to my children

Repulse
Ship name: HMS Repulse
Ship class: Renown-class Battlecruiser
Ship history: One of two Renown-class BCs built during the First World War. Built in Clydebank, Scotland, she entered service too late to take part in Jutland, but did see action in the 2nd Battle of Helgoland Bight. During the interwar years she took part in a world cruise, meeting many ships along the way. At the start of the Second World War, Repulse was one of three remaining BCs in the Royal Navy, along with her sister Renown, and adopted sister, Hood. Hood met her fate in the Denmark Strait, and Repulse would soon follow her to the bottom, sunk by Japanese bombers off Malaya two days after Pearl Harbour in company with HMS Prince of Wales.
Civilian name: Reanne McKay
Civilian occupation: Naval Architect
Appearance: AL Repulse, but wearing a full blue and white dress. These boats are from the 40's after all.
Personality: Salty old Scotbote. Acts standoffish and harsh, but is a big softy to those she cares about. Used to taking charge by dint of her age. Don't call her a Grannybote.

I haven't read that one and have no real intention to do so. In general, your crew are gonna stay inside your hulls and won't be all that important. We're here for shipgirls, not faeries.

@A Wise Hermit didn't see you say that. But maybe I can sell candy to everyone and make all the moneys

NO

Only I and ME alone can distribute candy rations to the destroyers and submarines

Otherwise they may get funny ideas and try to bypass my carrots and sticks system of destroyer wrangling

Anyone who breaks this rule will unleash the escort ship horde upon us all, and by God I will not help you

You say that like we don't hoard candy we bought for this express purpose. And if we have enough for ourselves, why not share some with the Destroyers? They'll probably stop bugging us.

I have so many ways to find Submarines that I will not even consider them getting away from me

My Seaplanes will cover the sun and blanket the earth in a dark shadow, stalking the foolish submarines who dared to challenge my authority

And in their final moments of underwater tomfoolery, I will say:

"Stay in your room, Averie. And. Do. Your. MATH. HOMEWORK. No DINNER until it's FINISHED."

Every minute we're underwater, is another minute you're forced to expand your search radius. And what would the Destroyers think of you punishing the nice submarine that gave them candy? And I already completed my homework! I'm working a job now! Even better, it's underwater! I'm obligated to go under!

Glasgow
Lets fucking GOOOOOOOO

Ship name: HMS Glasgow

Ship class: Town-Class

Ship history: Laid down in April of '35, Glasgow (C21) spent the first half of the war with the home fleet acting as escorts to important vessels, until she was damaged by a near miss from a bomber. After her repairs she participated in the Norwegian campaign, evacuating the Norwegian king and a portion of the gold reserves. She then transferred to the Mediterranean where she continued to escort convoys and provide support, until she was damaged once again, and the port nearby could not repair her, so her duties were reassigned to the far east. She continued a tour of light repairs at every dock she could find, until she found her way to the US for a proper repairing just in time for the arctic convoys and operation Neptune, afterword's she became the flagship for the Commander-in-Chief in the East Indies. After completion she was called back to home for a modernization run that lasted tell June of '45, where she spent the rest of the war working up to operational service.

Civilian name: Alisa McGowan

Civilian occupation: Bartender

Personality: Scottish. Glasgow spent quite a lot of time around the more... important... people of the world during her time in service. So, she picked up quite a lot of their mannerisms and ways of speaking just so she could appear more civilized outwardly. But, as soon as her emotions get away from her, or you get to know her in any way her heritage comes out at mach three. Sometimes violently.

Was trying to think about why Glasgow looked familiar. Then I saw the poster. Welcome to the tomfoolery.

Consider this, Submarine. Where are you going to go to replenish your candy stocks underwater? Atlantis? I'll have you know that me and Aquaman are best friends, and he knows all about parenting all sorts of little fish

Eventually, you are going to have to go the local 7-11 to buy more skittles; And when you turn around, a tall, angry destroyer momma is going to be there, batting a rolling pin

And what would the Destroyers think of you punishing the nice submarine that gave them candy?

My children would never betray me, because they know that if they break the rules they don't get any sweets after lunch

And consider this, Tender. I can get favors. I can convince a cruiser or something to go to the local 7-11 instead. I'll be indebted, sure, but that can be repaid at a later date. A simple surfacing for a tiny fraction of the time to restock my supplies afterwards.

And even if that scenario becomes true, it'll already be stored. What are you going to do then? It's already secure for the next dry spell.

Well CONSIDER THIS, SUBMARINE!!!!!!

My Capital ship sisters will also never betray me, because they were on my side the entire time 😤

In-fact, my capital ship sisters might even be meaner to the destroyers than I am, (but at least I have the excuse that I'm doing it because I love them) so bringing them into the Tender - Submarine war might be the final ally I need to end this once and for all

I'll go get you your candy for a price

P.S. not a capital ship I'm a escort CV
Name your rates.

I did say cruiser. Though any takers are fair game. And everyone can be bribed, it's only a matter of how much and what. For example, if you got something that could forever keep the destroyers wrangled and happy, what would you do for it? And this war was always a losing battle for you, you just never realized it.
