Neutrality Quest

How much do the Lifesmiths need to keep themselves happy?

Tentative plan is to hire Overseers for better production output/protection and sent war golems to the market to ensure trade is not interrupted. It would help if the relevant information was copied to the post.

Do we only have one action, i.e. if we can't distribute workforce if we protect the markets?

20 tonnes of stone or 15 tonnes of iron.

What exactly do you mean by this?

Decision to send or not send guards does not eat up an action.

Are those per week values? Per day? What's the turn measure unit?

Basically, are we expected to keep 7 crews working on stone and iron at all times bar some emergencies?

I mean, it'd be nice to not refer to the character page to observe what resources we currently have at our disposal - if that's not too much work, of course.

Hmm. Maybe we could go to a neutral human village and hire some homeless people (clerks who fell out of a job and couldn't farm very well, knights with head trauma that made them forget swordfighting) as cleaners? We could offer them food, water, and pay, and they'd be good cleaners.

Per day. And you need either of those, not both.

That's a good idea, I'll add this to all following turn posts. I figured it'd be alright since this turn's post was all about what resources you have.

For one, the quality of work of people with mental damamge/average beggar of middle ages would be low, which is unacceptable for Golems.
Also, sky-high food prices haven't gone anywhere.

Ok, so how viable is this vote?

-[ ] Seek out and hire some help
--[ ] Find better Overseers to optimize resourse gains

-[X] Designate Golem crews some tasks (Can designate all crews among any number of choices as one action)
--[X] Mines
---[x] 3 crews on Iron
---[x] 1 crew on Copper
--[X] Quarries
---[x] 1 crew on Marble
--[X]City maintenance
---[x] 2 crew
--[X]City expansion
---[x] 3 crew

[X] Will you send you war Golems to secure the market?
-[X] Yes, 20

I can't find how many War Golems we have in total, or what effects on cioty expansion or maintenance the crews have.

Or should finding Overseers and designating golem crews be done over 2 actions?

They don't need to be mentally or physically handicapped! They just need to really want work for a reason besides "being lazy!"

You have 50 War Golems. I mentioned in the post, but I probably should add them to resources.

Finding overseers should be a separate action.

Those kinds of people usually get a job. That's the benefit of living in pre-industrial society, if you want work, you can always find some.
Also, you are still looking at exorbitant food prices.

We can start a farm and sell the excess food!

And they may have work, but want to do something else. Or perhaps they are already a janitor, but we offer slightly higher pay.

Starting a farm will require decent relations with Humans.

And you are overestimating both people's ambitions and Golem's willingness to employ non-golems.

Fine then. We will craft Golem bodies out of glass, quartz, something light, craft slippers for outnumber feet, and clean the marketplace at night light the tireless being of awesomeness we are!

We will get those streets clean, demmit! Imagine the customers!
