Monstrous Rebirth (RE:Monster AU Quest)

No, fairies were peaceful farmer.
Then some sort of ghost?

And the "Group" option says that we'll get skills faster. These skills should be related to our doctor theme, yes.

Helldoctors tend to be rare and also boss monsters. Definitely reoccurring antagonists.

I just want to antagonize a plucky young hero. There are plenty of villain quests running around, but none of them have actually gone and done it. I want to ham it up while we unleash the monster of the week, and make up silly schemes that we almost get away with anyway.

And I think that we can pull that off, with dumb minions (almost check, not our minions yet), a good theme (HellDoctor, check), a few redeeming traits to dilute our evil villainy to sympathetic levels (check, eating slowly), a good person to troll (not yet...), and a GM willing to go along with it (?).

Anybody else want this?

Eh, I am already abit down from being a Fiend, and while that might work in a more funny or slice of life settings, I think Re:Monster setting is abit more savage, so to be successful (and surviving) with that kind of activities, you'd have to be rather stupidly powerful.

[X] By eating slowly but constantly, so that you grow strong while still being able to think. (Chance of failing tasks and reduced amount of actions, but you'll roll a dice of growing potential to add to your ability pool every turn.)

[X] Solitude, with your dark gifts developing as they will. (Greater range of freedom/actions earlier on)

Because we're a mook and minions will keep us from dying.

On controlling minions:
We were a doctor in our past life, so we've got at least some bedside manner and we can patch up the others when they get injured (which they will).

Since they're Fiends, we can't expect to take leadership classically. Or, we can, but unless we crush our first competitor badly enough that nobody wants to try again, we're liable to have people constantly vying for our position. Even if we do utterly crush, it's a race to see who get's strongest fastest. So, if we want to focus exclusively on fighting other fiends and watching for a knife in the back, this is the option to choose.

No, better to take leadership by setting ourselves above all that. We'll be the hand that helps and hurts in kind. We show that it is irrefutably true that we're smarter and/or more learned than the rest. We make ourselves friendly and beloved to all the fiends (in our age group at least) that we can. Then we set ourself up as a mentor/teacher.

Any leader will only be there because we allow it, anyone we don't like (or are displeased with) will not get our expertise or healing. No one dares stab us in the back, for everyone else in the age group will gang up on us. Essentially, safety through MAD.

Given time for us to mold the group into something less likely to backstab, we can shift from a position as mentor to leader with well trained 2ICs.
