Mobile Suit Gundam Harpoon [Recruiting]

@Sushi could I use the fact that Kat is an ex-ground pounder to get any insights on the map? Good routes to use, that sort of thing?

Thinking of doing something that will help our gaggle of pilots infiltrate better
I would be down to do that once you get on scene, yeah! Just remind me if I forget.

We could always try to blow something up. Will it accomplish anything? lmao no this sounds like a horrible idea

But blowing something up is always going to grab a lot of attention.
I think that is largely whether you would want to deal with the reprisals from the Zeon (e.g. killing any Feddie personnel deemed responsible.)

@Mr. Belpit Ibrahim thinks he can see a high-power antenna on top of the Port Security main building. If the Minovsky jamming isn't too dense, there's a good chance he could use the system to spoof or jam Zeon communications.

Huh, forums didn't notify me of this post for some reason 😰 I reckon I'll have Ibrahim point it I out when he sets off with the team he's assigned to.

Just wanted to get in a quick remark, otherwise I'm good to go.

Hi all, just wanted to say great job so far with dialogue / interactions. I didn't want to put a damper to it early but I was also excited to get to the meat of the scenario. For the team at the trucks, you have a somewhat open-ended situation where you could try to sneak up and take out the guards hand-on, or try to dupe them / trick them somehow, or just shoot them with your silenced weapons. The hangars are a short drive away if you use the trucks. I've just numbered them 1-4 for simplicy's sake here:

1. Big cargo / covered with tarp.

2. Biggest cargo / covered with a tarp.

3. Loaded with crates of weapons / supplies.

4. Some non-standard container in the bed.

The team at the port security / guardhouse aren't in a combat scene yet so feel free to plan and discuss as you'd like.

"Yeah, one. They send out a new unit to relieve it every four hours, and then they pop off a few rounds our direction so we keep out heads down. It's been like that for the past day or so; you can hear them over the radio every hour, like clockwork."
I'm not there so I can't comment on that IC, but radio.
That means there might not be that much Minovsky particle jamming. If there are any guided missiles on the base...

Makes sense if Mack and Callista distract the Zekes (ie Create Advantage) and then we shoot. Achilleia's got a +4 and literally the aspect "I'll take the shot" so....

Hmm... What should I do? Just yell and shoot at them?

Could go with the tried and true method of "Hold the right trigger to throw the bottle and cause a distraction"

(That is, making some noises.)

As per my IC post, Callista has +3 Sneak, so if you guys want, Callista can sneak up to one of them, shoot him, then that should give you the opportunity to drop the other guy.

Leto has +4 Stealth so I can stack that with you in a Teamwork action.

Yeah, we can stack to Create Advantage in this scenario.

Like Kensai said, better done as a CA since you can't stealth and then shoot in the same turn. But make sure there's some reasonable explanation for how stealth would benefit the end result (shooting them). Whether it's getting close enough to throw something or otherwise stun the enemies.

@Mr. Belpit

For situations like this, we can go about the game mechanics side of your comms hack two ways. One would be to roll our electronics skill, Targeting, or a knowledge-based skill like Lore and try to Create an Advantage with a high enough roll. The other would be to spend one of your Fate Points on an existing aspect, like "Deep Recon Specialist," and use it to create an environmental aspect of your choice.

High enough rolls create free "invocations," which can be spent to augment later rolls like trying to evade / run past that Zaku, or even to engage it with the proper weapons.

@tankdrop24 @NephyrisX @AlphaD @Kensai @DB_Explorer

In this case I would recommend picking a person to make the main attack (probably Leia), and stacking CAs on their roll. A good enough roll will automatically overflow and do damage to the other nearby targets.

Alternatively, you could have Kensai do a shoot attack, DB does teamwork, and Alpha can make a stealth roll with Nep giving teamwork.

From what was discussed IC, it sounds like tankie can make a Shoot CA, shooting into the campfire to visually distract their targets, and with a good enough roll, use those invocations to get the two guards before they can raise an alarm, shooting one, and using stealth + fight to take down the other one hand to hand.

Sound good?
