Chapter-11 Slime Overlord
Asura was in a dilemma. He stood in his normal body with a slime perched on his shoulders. While utilizing his unique skills, he had forgotten to take one crucial factor into account—magicules. The constant use of his skills consumed magicules at a steady rate, and in his excitement over gaining a new skill, he had gone overboard with their usage. However, this wasn't the sole reason for his predicament.

The primary cause of his depleted magicules was his new unique skill. Gaining a unique skill from the "Voice of the World" came with conditions. Bestowing a unique skill permanently reduced an individual's magicule capacity, as a portion was used as the price for the skill. This meant Asura's magicule capacity decreased with each unique skill he obtained.

Fortunately, Asura's unique soul had granted him a larger-than-usual magicule capacity. Additionally, his contact with other versions of Adam had further increased this capacity alongside granting him new skills. However, each new skill rendered his magicule reserves lower than when he had first entered the Cardinal World. This placed Asura in a precarious situation where conserving magicules became essential.

Asura walked through the dense trees of the Jura Forest until he stumbled upon another slime devouring plants. He decided to test his latest skill, Slime Mastery, which he had gained by possessing the slime on his head.

The extra skill Slime Mastery allowed him to control slimes, and with the help of his PsychoMorph subskill, Mind Interference, he could manipulate the unsuspecting slime with minimal magicule consumption.

He realized his dwindling magicule capacity would be a significant hindrance to his path toward strength. While thinking about his predicament, a solution presented itself in front of him. Asura didn't know how to increase his magicule capacity apart from the arrival of new Adams in the Chamber of Adams. However, that method could be detrimental, as new unique skills could further reduce his capacity. Unlike monsters, humans in the Cardinal World possessed exceptionally low magicule capacities. Asura's higher-than-average capacity made him an outlier.

For now, he sought an alternative solution. The slimes offered an answer to his problem. Using BioPhantom's subskill, Potential Unlock, he could increase a target's power and magicules while consuming only a negligible amount of his own magicules.

What if he used Potential Unlock on multiple slimes? Combined with Slime Mastery, he could easily control them. Testing his theory, Asura activated Potential Unlock on the slime before him. As expected, the slime's magicule capacity increased significantly while consuming only a small amount of his magicules.

Asura used Mind Interference to read the slime's thoughts and heard a notification from the "Voice of the World":
"Common skill Acid Splash has been acquired. Poison Resistance has been acquired."

Unlike the first slime, this one had gained a skill and a resistance. Asura then used BioPhantom: Possession on the slime, eventually replicating both the new skill and resistance for himself.

A plan was forming in Asura's mind. He needed a skill to help him utilize the magicules of the slimes without directly possessing them. With this thought, he continued his journey.

Days passed as Asura traversed the forest, accompanied by a bizarre sight: an army of hundreds of slimes hopping along behind him. After unlocking the potential of the second slime, he went on a hunting spree, leaving no slime untouched. Within a week, he had amassed an array of common skills, including Slime Shield, Hardened Slime, Leap, Camouflage, and Slime Spike, along with resistances like Pierce Resistance and Cold Resistance. Among these, a few extra skills stood out, such as Hive Mind and Magicule Absorption.

The arrival of Hive Mind significantly reduced his burden. With it and Slime Mastery, he could effortlessly control the vast slime army. Magicule Absorption further enhanced his ability to recover magicules from the air.

Asura's journey was interrupted by an unusual confrontation. A slime several times larger than a normal one was fighting a pack of wolves. The sight was odd—slimes were typically no match for small monsters, yet this one was holding its ground.

The slime bounced into the air, accurately smashing the wolves. Its actions suggested it possessed some form of sensory skill, as well as an impact-enhancing ability. Concerned for the slime's survival, Asura intervened. Possessing the first slime on his shoulder, he confronted the wolves.

The possessed slime morphed into a hardened, spiky ball and floated in the air, smashing into the wolves like bowling pins. Within moments, the pack of five wolves was incapacitated. Asura transformed back into his human form and used PsychoMorph: Mind Interference to manipulate their minds, implanting memories to make them recognize him as their master.

With the wolves now submissive, Asura shifted his focus to the exceptional slime. Transforming into his spiritual form, he possessed the larger slime. Although it displayed some intelligence, it was still limited compared to most creatures.

Using BioPhantom: Potential Unlock, Asura triggered a transformation within the slime. Its size nearly tripled, and its magicule capacity quadrupled. The activation of Potential Unlock consumed more than half of Asura's magicules—a significant cost. The transformation was extraordinary:

"Individual has transformed from species Slime to species Slime King."
"Extra skill Slime Gestalt has been acquired."

Curious, Asura activated the newly acquired skill, Slime Gestalt. He felt a deep, instinctual pull toward the surrounding slimes. Using Slime Mastery, he commanded a nearby slime to approach the Slime King. Upon contact, the smaller slime merged seamlessly into the Slime King's body, increasing its size further. Asura realized he could still sense and utilize the merged slime's presence and abilities.

Excited, he called upon the rest of his slime army. One by one, hundreds of slimes merged with the Slime King, transforming it into a massive, gelatinous mound. After the last slime merged, Asura released his possession of the Slime King and commanded it to use Magicule Absorption. The surrounding magicules surged into the Slime King.

"Muhahaha! Now I can truly be called the Lord of Slimes!" Asura laughed boisterously.

Repossessing the Slime King, Asura felt assured. With this new ally, he could utilize the combined magicules and skills of the entire slime army without being hindered by his own capacity. The future looked promising for Asura and his gelatinous empire, as the Gestalt Slime King quivered silently in amusement. Behind him, the wolves watched the scene in confused awe.

Chapter-12 Newcomer, New Unique Skill
Asura, overwhelmed with joy, wanted to brag to others and entered the Chamber of Adams. At his whim, his consciousness disappeared and appeared in an endless chamber.

As usual, Asura caught sight of Apex standing near the altar. As he got closer to Apex, he noticed the presence of another individual. This new Adam looked like someone of Asian descent.

"Hey, Apex, it seems my case was an exception. We have two newcomers one after another. Here I thought we would have to wait hundreds of years for another Adam to enter."

"Did you tell him? Did you share your memories?" said Asura, laughing.

"You are the one who is late to the party. It's already the second time I've met him. Even Adam from the Marvel universe met him," said Apex.

"Let me introduce myself. I am Ahn Woo. If I were to talk about my universe, it would be more convenient for us to share our memories," said Ahn Woo.

"Okay, I have some good news to share. Let's do it," said Asura. Before he could commence memory sharing, they heard footsteps. When they looked toward the source, Adam Sinclair, the host of the Phoenix, was walking toward them.

"What a coincidence! It's been a while since we all gathered at the same time."

"Asura, did you meet Ahn Woo? If he didn't come at the right moment, I wouldn't have been able to save Firehair," said Adam.

"Who is Firehair?" asked Asura.

"I guess we didn't meet after I became the host of Phoenix. Let's share our memories so that it will be easy to understand," said Adam as he initiated the ritual where all the shards of Adam Sinclair held their hands.

Asura saw the whole battle Adam went through when he became the host of the Phoenix, and he also saw the settlement that he built, the group of Deviants and Serpents that attacked them.

When it came to Apex, he was still fighting along with other Apex Predators under the orders of Perpetua. There were no new developments.

But the new arrival, Ahn Woo, this shard of Adam Sinclair's soul, was born in the modern era in the city of Seoul. But it wasn't normal—there were dungeons and gates housing monsters. There were hunters who killed those monsters. Luckily, Ahn Woo wasn't powerless. Quite the opposite, he was an awakened hunter, and a powerful one at that.

The ability Ahn Woo awakened was unique, with a lot of potential. He could gain traits and characteristics of animals he consumed. He could mix and match different strengths of animals: regeneration of axolotls, electricity generation of eels, and super vision from eagles. He consumed anything he could find, even if he had to break some laws.

It's been years since Ahn Woo awakened. He was an S-rank hunter, but he reached his limit. He could utilize any animal ability after consuming them, but he couldn't gain the power of monsters, no matter how much he consumed them. But all that changed when he entered the Chamber of Adams. After synchronizing with Apex and Adam, he awakened in succession. Now, he could gain monster abilities, and he didn't even have to eat them. He just needed to touch the target to gain their abilities.

Asura went through all the memories in a quick manner. After finishing the process, he shook his head.

"Now here I thought that I was lucky to have been able to reawaken multiple times. You have three unique skills, and now you might gain another one," said Ahn Woo.

"It's not like there's a need for you to be jealous. Isn't it the case that you might awaken once again? Who knows what abilities you might gain this time?" said Asura.

"Sigh, why do I have to be in this impasse? Even though I'm the strongest amongst us," said Apex.

"Doesn't the sync still increase the control and potency of the Apex Predator body? Why do you worry?" said Asura.

"Even though my powers are growing, I don't know when I will escape from the clutches of Perpetua. You've seen her power; she is a literal god. Do you think my powers can fight her off?" said Apex.

"Patience is key. One day, you will have the opportunity to earn your freedom. Until then, you have to survive, just like you have survived for thousands of years," said Adam.

"We can do this, for all of us Adams!" said Asura as all of them joined their hands and shouted in union. Asura exited, feeling excited after sharing his newly gained unique skill.

The massive blob of the gestalt slime king's body, which was possessed by Asura, awakened from its momentary daze. The voice of the world that administered the central world was heard by Asura once again.

"Ah, shit, here we go again," said Asura.

Individual has acquired Unique Skill: Fleshweaver

Fleshweave - Subskills

  • DNA Analysis: Analyze the DNA of a target.
  • Species Shifting: After analyzing the target, transform the body into the intended target.
  • DNA Indexing: Store the analyzed DNA in an archive for future recreation.
  • Genomic Synergy: Combine multiple DNAs to produce new capabilities.
"Damn, isn't this the perfect skill for Adam? If I gain new skills at this rate, I might surpass Apex in no time," said Asura as he looked at the confused wolves.

"Let's see if I can analyze slime," said Asura as he placed his hand on the Slime King's body after transforming back into his material body. Unique skill Fleshweaver's DNA analysis took a while. After it was completed, the template of the slime's genetic structure was stored in DNA indexing. The body of a slime is usually made of cells of the same kind. These cells functioned as both neurons and muscles.

After analyzing the slime, Asura used Species Shifting to transform as his human body slowly melted, turning into a gelatinous Slime King. He could have accomplished the same with Shapeshifting or Psychomorph and Biophantom replication. But in the end, it wouldn't have been completely identical. With Species Shifting, he could completely transform into the species. Now, except for his soul, in all shapes and forms, he was a slime.

There was another advantage—he didn't have to possess the Slime King to control all the slimes. Now, he could take its place. The gestalt Slime King fused with his body, actively absorbing the magicules in the air.

Asura, in his slime form, and his pack of wolves set off on their journey.

Chapter 13 Perpetua's Creation
**DC: Overvoid of the Omniverse**

The Overvoid, the vacuum of the Omniverse, is a white void that extends infinitely. It was empty until **The Hand**, celestial beings of unimaginable power created by **The Source**, were tasked with populating the empty Omniverse. They did so using Anti-Crisis energy provided by The Source.

In one part of the Omniverse exists a multiverse composed of three forms of matter:

1. A realm made of dark matter, overseen by Alpheus, the World Forger, who was tasked with creating universes.
2. The realm of positive matter, the Orrery of Worlds, ruled by Mar Novu, the Monitor, who oversees the born universes from the World Forge.
3. Finally, the realm of antimatter, governed by Mobius, the Anti-Monitor, functioning as a boundary between the multiverse and the greater Omniverse.

Perpetua, the creator of the multiverse and mother of the Monitors, is seated on a throne floating over Earth in the prime universe. Before her stands a legion of beings stretching to the horizon—her Apex Predators.

"Son, witness before me my greatest creation: my legions, my Apex Predators," boasted Perpetua to her son.

"What urged you to create these terrifying beings, Mother?" asked Mar Novu, the Monitor.

"My son, I was bestowed by The Source with seven energies of creation to populate the Overvoid. My function was to return to The Source after the creation of the multiverse, which would then be judged by The Hand to determine whether it was worthy to exist."

"Mother, I sense the impending judgment approaching because of your actions," said Mar Novu.

"Novu, I knew this day would come. Even after completing my role in creating the multiverse, I had to prepare for the coming judgment. I scoured the multiverse for beings with the potential to fight for me against The Hand.

"My search was disappointing until one day, I discovered two species with unique potential. Both were promising but weak on their own. So, I fused them to combine their strengths. The results exceeded my expectations," said Perpetua.

"Even in their primitive forms, they could use the seven energies of creation. Now imagine them after evolving for hundreds of thousands of years," said Perpetua.

"I'm curious, Mother," Mar Novu replied, signaling for her to continue.

"I've scoured other multiverses in the void, but none had anyone like your kind still present after formation. I wonder, Mother, why would you doom the lives of infinite beings with the notion of surviving a judgment of unknown odds?" asked the Monitor.

"Son, why should I perish while The Hand lives forever? I thought I could convince you to stand by me in this war. Now I see how foolish I was. My predators, show my son that he is unwelcome here," said Perpetua, turning her back.

The Apex Predators, who had been fighting among themselves, now shifted their attention to Mar Novu, overwhelming him with their sheer numbers. Among them was one Apex Predator, larger and more intelligent than the rest: Adam Sinclair.

Adam had reincarnated into the body of an Apex Predator. Over the years, his intelligence gave him an edge over his kind in utilizing his powers. But he was aware that he was still under Perpetua's control. Seeing Mar Novu swarmed by Apex Predators, Adam knew this was his chance to escape.

Adam joined the chase, helping banish the Monitor from Earth. The pursuit continued until only Mar Novu and Adam remained, staring at each other.

"Do you have a place that can shield us from her gaze?" Adam, the Apex Predator, asked Mar Novu.

"You are different from the others of your kind—you possess self-awareness and intelligence. Compared to your primitive brethren, I'm sure Mother would be surprised to see one of her creations betray her," said the Monitor.

"Well, it's not like it hasn't happened before, isn't it? Isn't that the case with you? Why else would she send her creations to attack her own son? But the crucial question is: is there a place where we can hide from her all-encompassing gaze?" asked Adam.

"Come with me. There is no place we can hide forever—this multiverse is her creation to begin with. But we don't need to hide forever. We just need a place where we can call for help," replied Mar Novu.

"Who could help us? She created us all," asked Adam, regretting his decision to escape from Perpetua.

"The beings responsible for the creation of your race—The Hand. Now, meet my brothers Mobius and Alpheus," said Mar Novu.

---

**Thousands of Years Later**

Apex and the sons of Perpetua constructed a cosmic tuning fork to call out to The Hand. The construction was nearly complete. During this time, Apex stumbled upon the Chamber of Adams. After a long time alone, he met his counterparts: Asura, Mutant Adam, and Ahn Woo. Their arrival boosted his powers, bringing his strength closer to that of Perpetua's sons.

"Is the tuning fork complete?" asked Apex as he looked toward the three brothers surrounding the behemoth structure piercing the skies.

"It is complete. But, brother, is it necessary?" asked Mobius, the Anti-Monitor.

"Yes. We must tune the frequencies of all worlds in the multiverse to call out to the judges of The Source. When they pass judgment, they will see her actions and understand the consequences unless all of creation is destroyed by her," said Mar Novu.

"I hope it works. I can't remain in hiding much longer," said Apex.

"Neither can I," replied Mar Novu. "Oh, judges of The Source, I call upon you to witness the transgressions of my mother," he said, placing his hands on the cosmic tuning fork.

"Do they hear us?" asked Alpheus.

"I hear you, sons," said Perpetua with a menacing voice, legions of Apex Predators standing behind her.

Just as they were about succeed Perpetua found them as she unleashed her legions upon them, individually an Apex predator is not the stonger than any of them but the combined might of an army of Apex predators can even take down Perpetua herself.

Before they could lose any hope, Apex heard a trill in the sky above
