Night 4 - Peacekeeper

October 2, 2031 - Eldoret, Kenya
Central Ministry Consolidation Headquarters

The nation lay on edge, her land shattered under the force of the Ethereal bomb. With the uncertainty of another attack possibly happening setting in, many began to flee the nation (Fatmo - Kenyan Citizenry), under the assumption that the Ministerial forces were behind the Ethereal attacks happening as of late. Not even 12 hours had passed since the attack, but the change in population was already vastly noticeable.

"I'd estimate that about forty percent of the population has fled the nation, filtering into other African nations. This has sparked conflicts across the continent, where the Kenyan people are unwelcome." Afaafa kept the briefing short, knowing full well the gravity of the situation. thirty million people, suddenly nowhere to be found within the nation's borders. It remained a blessing and a curse for Rhodes, who did not know her next move.

"We. . . need to address the people. Set up for tomorrow, we need to stay here to keep on guard for now." Rhodes was utterly defeated. She couldn't fathom how anyone could have planned this out so thoroughly. Wiping an entire city off the map seemed. . . impossible, even by Ethereal standards.

She feared for her own future, as well as the future of the entire world, as outside forces began their march to Kenya.

October 2, 2031 - Berlin
United Nations Central Ministry Headquarters

Without hesitation, leaders from the consolidated nations around the world deemed the use of further force in Kenya necessary. The United Nations, which had become somewhat obsolete during the great consolidation of states, still held considerable political power over the five Ministries. After the bombing of Kakamega, it became clear that the conflict would leak into other parts of the world, should it remain unchecked.

The Peacekeepers have been unleashed.

What'd I miss?

Oh…that little thing?

How awkward. I bet you all think I was scum now.

What a hilarious misunderstanding!

I was a super-rare doctor death miller. Where I'm a town doctor, but flip red.

It's the darndest thing! Never heard of that one before.

Day 5 - The Sixth Ministry
Day 5 - The Sixth Ministry

October 3, 2031 - Nairobi, Kenya
Inner City

Blood lay fresh on the ground. The taste of its mist permeated the air, with little room for the air itself. The new Kenya remained a breeding ground for those who made a living on murder, and for Wyatt Brendt, the chance to openly kill on the streets was a wonderful opportunity, one which he couldn't afford to pass up.

Despite the lack of involvement from the Western Ministry in Kenya, after the government had pulled out of the conflict shortly before the American Blitz, the murderers it released onto the streets of Kenya were still mostly at large. The program had raised homicide rates in the nation by over seventy percent in mere months, a figure the other Ministries would recoil at. Brendt was one of the first participants of the program, and one of the most dangerous. Even today, the pile of bodies he left in the nation's capital, had to have been in the hundreds. Powerless citizens, foolish citizens, those citizens who felt the need to be outside after the Bombing of Kakamega, eviscerated by his hands (Tykan - Kenyan Citizenry).

This spree was all but over. The Peacekeepers have arrived.

Coming up on the heart of Nairobi, the armed Peacekeeper forces encountered Wyatt, who stood alone in front of the Tobaias Corporation Headquarters, drenched scarlet. It didn't take long for them to understand what exactly had happened, and the following action needed no explanation.

Wyatt Brendt's blood (Absum - Vigilante) had joined the blood of his victims.

Inside the Tobaias Corporation Kenyan Headquarters
It did not take long for the Peacekeepers to infiltrate the headquarters of Armani Tobaias, a building which had been strangely abandoned in light of recent events. Nobody knew the whereabouts of Armani Tobaias, but the Peacekeepers were willing to tear his walls down to find out. Even without a warrant, the search for Armani Tobaias was on. . .

. . . fifteen minutes later, the body of Armani Tobaias, mangled by bullets, was discovered in his office. Some of the Peacekeepers remained in the building to further investigate, but two more groups had split off from the whole.

The first group would remain in Nairobi to confront the Separatist movement. The other would leave to confront the Ministerial forces in Eldoret. The Peacekeepers did not seek to instill consolidation through means of force, as was clearly the goal of Minister Rhodes in light of recent events. The Peacekeepers sought negotiation, one which could not take place with the two sides at such extreme odds with one another.

The formation of the Sixth Ministry, unbeknownst to the Separatists, was now under way.

Okay, Tykan was a green kill and Absum was a red kill. I was thinking they were both green for some reason, which was really baffling me.

Ngl I read that as Absum having killed himself until I looked at the graveyard too.

So Fatmo was pretending to be a Doc.

Absum really was a TownVig.

Tykan was a Vanilla.

And Absum shot Tykan? Why?

Okay. We're down to 10 players. The 3P is likely gone, and scum are down 2 members. My best guess would be something like 7 town 3 scum, which leaves us about where we were. We're in a bad spot if it's 6/4 though.

Overall, based on throwing out a lot of plans to try to direct the vote off likely scum at the last minute last day, my general suspicions here are pretty firmly aimed at Nictis. OTOH, we have a power town confirmation, but there's at least weak reason to think that this might not actually mark ordinary scum.

There's also something else but it might hurt town strategically to say it openly, so I'd like to avoid doing so for the moment. I'd say to vote Nictis, but the below seems like a pretty major slip:

I don't understand what is going on, but my night action was swapping @Cyricubed and @ondine .

No clue. Absum said they were going to do a review of ondine and Tykan over the night phase. But they seemed pretty towny to me.

Uh.... Why on earth would you swap the protective target with someone the Vig was considering?

Uh.... Why on earth would you swap the protective target with someone the Vig was considering?
They weren't considering them for a kill (or I didn't think so) Absum was trying to do reviews on everyone but said he didn't think he would get those two done before the night phase started.

I picked ondine because I thought there was no way they'd be a vig target because they hadn't done anything to confirm them as scum, but they were being scumread by Nictis so I figured scum would leave them alone.

...What do you think that means when the vig says it Meso...
They had mentioned doing retrospectives on other people, including Wiadi, and provided some reads based on them, so I don't think they were specifically doing reviews in order to pick targets.

Who did you think Absum was likely to target then?
Me, maybe Nictis, possibly Original Name (who they mentioned believing might be on a team with me).

I thought scum would probably target somebody with a power role (so Absum, Nanimani, or me again) or somebody with no suspicion attached to them at all (like you or Tykan).

If I had to bet, I would have thought Absum was probably a one shot vig, but I figured better safe than sorry.

I had it down pretty much to swapping him with ondine, Est or tootitorbootit. But I already used Est and said so in the thread, and backtracking seemed dangerous, and if I used a low vote poster the first time, I figured doing so again might be too obvious a decision.
