[MAFIA] The Aethereal Concordant

Cyri was protected by 1k N1 and N2, a probably ToS inspired jailor. Meaning she probably already picked him at Day and got an unsecure QT with him at night.

Since N3 it's wine.
If scum had a transporter, they could have just swapped Cyri and somebody else and target the somebody else. They had no way to know about the QT at the start of the game, so they wouldn't know that would give the existence of their transporter away.

That's the importance of the ToS inspiration, from my guess.
With 1k already claiming her target at Day, she was probably the first power to act, even before any transporter. @Cyricubed, did she ever tell you that she's already picking at Day?

Sorry, but I'm not seeing that. Transporter goes first in night actions, that's kind of the point of it. It's going to switch the two of them. Even if the jailor was a day action that goes before the transporter in the night (Doubt it), they'd still switch, and the maf would be attacking the jailed mayor. So under that line, there still wouldn't be an attack on Pawn.

Town of Salem Jailor is Priority 1 which is why it's being referenced.

it's hard to guess action priority when it's a closed part of the setup but I find it believable.

ToS is Town of Salem, the video game? I know nothing about it, I am afraid.

It's priority one because target is selected during day, not during night resolution, which can be assumed occurs here as Jailor and Cyri had a Quicktopic during those nights.

Think of it this way:

Day:
Jailor selects target before end of day

Start of Night:
Target Jailed

End of Night:
Other actions recieved and resolved (Transporter is here)

You can't transport someone who is immune as of end of day.

Night one I swapped 1K and Terrabrand. I didn't have anything to do with Pawn or Cyri.

How does the existence of the QT suggest that?

That makes sense, but Meso wouldn't have known that at the time, so the actions would have lined up differently in all likelihood. That scum went for another path is plausible. That a doctor decided to skip over Cyri is also plausible, that all involved happened to pick such, while also lining up the actual targets as they did to make the confusion happen is remarkably less so.

is it kosher if i link a youtube video of the role in question from ToS to illustrate it or do my above examples explain it enough?

This is all true as well, it's not like anyone is informed that their target is jailed after the resolution (well that we know of).

the QT only works while the target was jailed, hence the QT only works at night, hence the target is jailed all night and is selected during the day.

And I will probably not be back on for the rest of the day. If I get a chance to check my phone I will, but it is unlikely.

I recieved the jailing AT the start of night phase. A transporter likely would not effect me while jailed

Jailer is a weird role as far as priority and cancellation goes. ToS Jailer prevents all night actions from affecting the person jailed, and seems to be where inspiration is taken from. Some jailers prevent all night actions, some only prevent attacking actions.

But 1K would have to act before meso because 1k also invites her target to a quick topic.

Sorry, at work and talking to people, and on my phone. Pretty delayed right now.

Sorry for being absent yesterday guys, I was suffering from heat exhaustion :(

As for how Cyri survived during the Night... well. Perhaps there really is a Town Doc running around that hasn't flipped yet for some reason?

I'm keeping my vote on Fatmo, but if he actually flips as green I will be so confused with myself...

Nevermind. I completely missed the discussion about the ToS-styled jailor. That's what I get for rushing through the last couple pages at EoD.

"So," Misaka says, "I reviewed day 1, but unfortunately, neither Mesonoxian nor Arstotzkan were posting there, so I can't take into account their judgment of our 1 confirmed scum. I would like to note for the record though that I don't like how @Tykan voted there or how they justified it there, so if I die please do at least remember to look into that and see what you make of it. I also like @OriginalName 's posting here, just when things were tipping over from Shadell and a push could have saved IH. I only mildly town read it," Misaka clarifies, "but I like it since I was pretty null on them before."

"This leaves me, unfortunately, torn on who to lynch still," Misaka says sadly. ""I don't like how lynching Fatmo, in a world where they're town, gives scum!Mesonoxian another night to mess with results," Misaka admits, "but I also do think that Town!Mesonoxian is slightly more valuable and the case against Fatmo is somewhat stronger."

[X] Vote Fatmo

"I wish I was more confident in this lynch," Misaka admits, "But at least if it's town I know what to do tomorrow."
