Lord of the Stars Quest!

[X]Alien or Hive
if Hive, based off of Bees. Because Space BEEEEEEEEES.
[X] Monumental, Logic, Avatar

Avatar teaches the wonders of Dakka and sufficent velocity.

Going for totally alien as well.

[X] History of Peace- Subtly shifting things around, Life comes to favor peace and diplomacy to war and any conflicts are short. Bonus to diplomacy, but their war stockpiles are lower.
And then Suddenly!
[X] (Logic) Age of Invention- Accelerate technological development by a century by uplifting inventors for a short time. This will produce radical technology, but increase social instability.
Leading into.
[X] History of War- A few pokes and prods of tactical genius here and there and you got a couple centuries of war to hone Life and give it more combat practice, even if it makes them rather rude at times.

[x] Alien

Jumping on the bandwagon!

[x] Monumental
[x] Genesplicing
[x] Random

I beg of you RNG!

Okay, we are currently favoring Totally Alien by 6 votes

Logic has 5 votes, Monumental and History of war both have 4.

Voting will continue for another 2 hours then we shall begin the RP in earnest.

[x] Totally Alien - A random dice roll for a truly unusual and alien species. May be special, may be not.

[x] History of War - A few pokes and prods of tactical genius here and there and you got a couple centuries of war to hone Life and give it more combat practice, even if it makes them rather rude at times.
[x] (Logic) Age of Invention - Accelerate technological development by a century by uplifting inventors for a short time. This will produce radical technology, but increase social instability.
[x] (Avatar) God among Mortals - Create a (basic) avatar and do a dozen little things or take over a kingdom for a decade to add a personal touch to Life's growth. (You decide how to influence them)

I am always in favor of rolling the dice.
[x]totally alien

[x]random
[x]monumental
[x]Age of Invention

[x] Totally Alien- Aliens must be, well, alien. It's kinda why we call them 'aliens.'

[x] (Logic) Age of Invention- Better tech is always good.
[x] (Avatar) God among Mortals- Let's see if we can limit that social instability and change 'radical' tech into 'useful' tech.
[x] Genesplicing- getting better at war and/or peace is always a good thing.

[ ] Ursine- Bear-like species are warlike and very large, but bad at radical innovation.

Because WAR BEARS!

[ ] History of War- A few pokes and prods of tactical genius here and there and you got a couple centuries of war to hone Life and give it more combat practice, even if it makes them rather rude at times.

[ ] (Logic) Age of Invention - Accelerate technological development by a century by uplifting inventors for a short time. This will produce radical technology, but increase social instability.

[ ] Genesplicing- Add some non-evolved traits you think will be useful for a minority of the race. For warlike species, add super-soldier minority. For peaceful species, add some beautiful diplomats.

SUPERSOLDIER WAR BEARS!

[x] Humanoid

[x] Monumental

Okay. Vote closed!

We you have a Totally Alien form of life which is.....

1d10 = 7. Robots, AI's, and biosynths. Huh, didn't expect this one to get picked.

Winning traits: Logic, history of war, and monumental. Fun mix combined with the Totally Alien robots.

Will write up a full intro soon and we can begin in earnest.

How to summarize 3,000 years of life? In a word: hopeless.

You originally intended to make a feline-esque form of Life, but when you gave them the spark of invention they used it to build giant nukes and blow themselves to smithereens. Life is just made of ungrateful bastards isn't it? At least they also used the spark of invention to make a couple billion robots for you to play around with, although they are individuals rather than a hive-mind strangely enough. A few are catgirl-biosynths, so its not a complete loss.

(+ Efficent builders)
(+ tolerant of hostile climates)
(+ Rapid linear tech advancement)
(- slow travelers)
(- poor diplomats)
(- slow reproduction)

* * * * *

History of War= The Builder Life were locked in a state of on and off war between rival nations. Thus military technology, such as several types of hunter-seeker robots, has advanced much faster than usual, and theere is over 1,000 years of war experience to draw upon.

(+ military experience)
(+ war industries)
(- diplomacy)
(- major damage to biosphere)

Logic= You attempted to give one side an advantage with the Spark of Invention during their modern era. This resulted in many radical advancements, the biggest one being the development of Quantum blue box hard drives for developing AI's. Sadly, this didn't end up well and caused them to nuke eachother to death, but the robots moved on and recovered their technology.

(+ advanced individual AI's)
(+ science)

Monumental- on the ruins of their makers, the robots set about rebuilding in light of their new freedom. In the beginning, they had no idea what to make of it. So they went about doing their assigned directives for a century or so, in the process constructing a monumental improvement spanning their entire world.

(pick 1)
[ ] Resilient Automated Industrial-Military Complexes. Massive underground war factories and heavy space infrastructure.
[ ] Unlimited Information Highways. Uber-internet power for scicence and pleasure.
[ ] Biosynth Labs. Cloning and artifical growth of biosynths to supplement population and act as diplomats.

#^%#$^%#$^^%#$^%34

At long last, the robots finally start going out into the stars. Currently they're just firing off probes into planets in their own solar system. Ho hum boring. Time to actively manipulate how they think and operate.

(Decide four actions for the robots)
-
-
-
-

(Decide two areas of R&D focus for the robots)
-
-

In the meantime, you can start practicing with your powers while you wait.

(Pick one power to practice with)
-

For the moment, you are alone. But could there be others like you in the universe? Something to worry about, as your reach isn't very far from your home system. Any actions you do outside of it are tied to your Life. For the moment, you can only wait and see what will happen until your Life develops FTL drives.

Anyone up for galactic conquest in the name of the sun god?

[x] Biosynth Labs. This'll help mitigate our negative traits (slow reproduction and poor diplomats).
[x] Practice Protector. We need this to protect our robots, which are our only way to influence thing out of the Solar System.

R&D:
1. Space Industry (mining the moon and asteroids, gas giant harvesting, etc). Because more industry is always a good thing, and we need it to start producing warships for war or trade goods for diplomacy, whichever route we take.
2. AI Research (bioroids, hardware and software). Because improving ourselves is also a good thing.

ACTIONS:
1. Start producing Bioroids, and expand our industry, both on our planet and in space. Our population is low, and that is not a good thing. Also, see R&D #1.
2. Establish hidden colonies on the two minor worlds and the moons of the gas giant. Don't want all our eggs in one gravity well. KKV's are bad, as are nukes. Besides, we have already seen how easy it is to wipe out a civilization; just look at our creators.
3. Start designing and building warships and killbots to protect our new space industry. I don't think anyone will object to having a military. If you do, you are an idiot.
4. Start cleaning up our biosphere. Try to make it habitable for organic life. Our planet is damaged. We need to fix it.

Yap, this looks good.

There. I just summed up what would, based on what Spacebattles is stereotyped as, most likely be our conversation.
