Checking everything, you realized you were low on tea, milk, bacon, and a few other essential needs. "Hey everyone, heading off to the store, need anything?"
Panne was the first to spring up, having forgotten about her losses at your hands. "Can I get some chocolates? Wouldn't be too hard, and Nadia got up from the couch while rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.
"Куда мы идем?" You had no clue what she said, but she clears it up for you in a few minutes. "Sorry, we are going somewhere, Da?" You nod, and ask her what she'd like from the grocery store.
"Do you know the...The uh...What were those red wrapped candy bars? The Kat?" Kit Kats, noted. Hmm...Most of them seemed to like sugary snacks, but Nadia asked for a few more things like green tea and honey.
You're sure the grocery has some stuff like that, and if not you can stop by a friend's. She's got some tea you can use, and her father runs a great café across the street of your Father's bar.
Ingvild and Gloria don't need anything at the moment, and Aisling is fine too. Panne and Nadia volunteer to join you during the trip, since it was just a block away.
Living in a city had its perks, like a grocery store being pretty close to your house.
...
Walking down the street, Nadia and Panne were looking at the giant buildings nearby. It was a common sight, but it seems that they haven't seen something that big before. A horn sounded off behind you, and you noticed a familiar brown haired police officer.
"Well Riley! It's been too long, how's life treating you so far?" Romano Vargas, the older brother to a close friend of yours. He was in a similar situation to yours, being brought from Italy to live in America and growing up as the big brother to some of the kids on the block. He was a nice guy, though his rough exterior often gave people the wrong thoughts about him. His green eyes were soft, but he had a rugged image about him.
"Doing fine Romano, how's Felicity?" Felicity was his little sister, and another one of your friends and neighbors.
"She's doing bene! I take it your house guests arrived this morning?" You nodded, and Panne introduced herself while Nadia smiled and waved. "Well if you have time, stop by mio padre's café when you have the chance." He waved as he pulled away to do his shift, and you kept walking to the store.
...
Going through the store was simple, and you noticed a few Liminals walking through it with their hosts. Seems that America was a popular place for Liminals, since a majority of Asia and Europe haven't made amendments to the Cultural Exchange Act.
Shame, if they weren't so stubborn they might have more Liminals visiting.
Once you got all the groceries done and paid for, you figured you should go out to lunch. But where?
