Probably not something we can do but if we can put qr codes on the messages we have to rick roll someone

We can write once a day, i supose that we can tell her that she can expect 1 card each day, suposing we have something to say to her

We can write letters to tell her when to expect the next one right:lol:
You could choose to write in a letter when the next will arrive, but keep in mind that you can only decide to do so in the next vote.

Don't forget about the Points upgrade that rewards you for not sending letters, and the restrictions it places on Taylor's expectations ;)

Gain one point per day if a letter is sent.

Can choose to send no letters on a given day and still get the basic point, plus an extra point.
No extra points gained if Taylor thinks/knows there'll be no letter(s). Extra points halved on each successive day.
Can be bought multiple times, cost doubles every time it is bought
-2
Extra points are gained as long as no letter is delivered, whether SV chose to send a letter not.

I think that at least in the short future, I would prefer to send a letter each Day and recieve a single point. The point does not say it is a temporary one.

Though i can see the appeal of buying points for not sending a letter

Not quite sure what you mean, but at any rate, temporary points can only be gained through omakes. All other points are normal, i.e. permanent, both the base point and extra points for not sending a letter.

i meant more like "arrive at (location + time) to recieve your next letter"
all spy-like  :p:lol:

Oh heck yeah I love meta quests. And one that promises to not make the MC disgustingly OP by just giving them more powers like how most of them do is something I've always wanted.

I'm currently sick, so the next update might be a bit later, depending on how things go. But as a bit of a teaser, I felt the need to make this table. Can you guess what for?

This is indeed what I was going for ^^

The original idea was something along the lines of "If I could talk to and advise Taylor at the beginning of Worm, what would I say, and how?". It was somewhat inspired by Security! (which I highly recommend, BTW), but there, the main character, as an SI, can actively influence the world (and does so). Its sequel, I, Panacea, was closer, but as the main character has the ability to take over Amy's body (and does frequently) kinda means it's not quite what I was aiming for either. In fact, best as I can tell, despite the vast amounts of Worm quests, there isn't any where the players can only give info to a character (Communication is somewhat close, but has all that power-granting stuff you talked about).

On top of that, Worm seems very well suited to such a story. In most worlds, there is little reason to not tell the protagonist everything, but in Worm, the existence (and ruthlessness) of Cauldron means that there are a lot of things that simply aren't safe to know, which makes the question of "what do we say?" much more interesting. Plus, Taylor's own hang-ups mean you also need to convince her to trust you, which is why I went for letters instead of a voice-in-the-head scenario like I, Panacea, as the latter makes it a lot easier.

I was torn on whether to let Taylor keep her canon (bug) powers, but I decided against it, mostly to discourage people from just going down the canon path (though they could of course head in the direction of Deputy instead). I figured the ability to (eventually) have other addressees would prevent a scenario where Taylor is unable to move things forward simply due to a lack of power. Plus, it makes for more of a challenge~

Oops, it's so bad I'm late to the party. Let's see what you wrote in this letter.

Edit: Hmm, if she asks something, which is dangerous to know, we can always tell that some pieces of knowledge are hidden, because they are cognitohazards.

Plus, Worm has so many puzzle bosses, where the key to actually defeating them is just knowing the how. Once you know the how, the rest becomes a lot easier, so information really is one of the most potent weapons we can give Taylor (or anyone else)

I dunno. I think in the long run Taylor benefited from not being part of the PRT.

we must remember that Tay here only has us, at least for the moment. she has no combat power, so the path to keep her safe is either stealth and hiding (as if she would do that) or being to hot to touch, falling that self defense that the PRT or anywhere else can provide would be usefull.

The best I managed to find was Arms master Social Advice Quest and it was fun but it died. And what is Deputy?

Gonna have a look at that!

Deputy is an unpowered-Taylor-joins-the-PRT fic, originally as an intern, but then, well, things develop.

The original story is Internship by Hopeful Penguin, which was completed.
Deputy by Reyemile branches off from Intership after Internship's chapter 3.8, and has two sequels by the same author, Deputy Commander and Deputy Director. The latter is unfinished, as its creator stopped writing, to quote TVTropes,
after some highly publicized incidents involving police brutality left the author uncomfortable with continuing a story in which a paramilitary organization is forced to establish a police state.

I highly recommend them, in particular Deputy and Deputy Commander.
