Huh, I did not expect that many plans focusing on other addressees, given the relatively high cost (7+). Very interesting! Beyond that, I love the discussion, many good ideas all around!

Anyone know when Mouse Protector gets caught by Slaughterhouse 9?
Canon is a bit mum on that, we only know that Bonesaw states on June 8th that she only started merging capes recently. We also know she had started doing so when Cherish joins the S9, in late April or early May. The general consensus seems to be that MP's still fine in January 2011, and I'm gonna extend that to February. The S9 then catches her in March or April.

It's Tuesday, the 4th of January, BTW.

And do we have a security perk already for people dismissing the letter?
You have the first level of Taboo:
"If a Thinker notices a discrepancy through a Thinking power (such as the sudden appearance of a letter out of nowhere), they will dismiss it."
Otherwise, no. If a letter appears out of nowhere, anybody who notices it through mundane means (in person, cameras, etc.) will react normally. You can always avoid any overt supernatural element through Post Delivery, though.

I'm betting that right now Taylor has no one watching her ATM, so we can leave the letter next to her, future ones can be done by post.

those are some good names for if we go a hero root I propose L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.(League Of Villainous Evildoers Maniacally United For Frightening Investments in Naughtiness) if we go villain. and the first letter should tell her what happened to Emma in that ally two years a go and to confirm/confront her parents about it maybe along the line of so that's why she changed so much

we don't "go villain", we just send letters, we don't choose what Taylor or anyone else does with them.

We may influence people with them, but they could just ignore our letters if they don't like them, or don't believe.

That said, could we return to the issue of the first letter? if we send it right now, wait until she leaves the hospital, the contents it should have, a way for she to reply, etc.

At this pace the voting will start and there will be no proposals beyond mine or not send anything. Just to mention, right now we don't know how cannon compliant is this Quest. The PRT could be effective here, Coil may not exist.

This is canon, to the best of my ability to discern and simulate it. Canon, though, not fanon (except possibly where fanon simply fills holes in canon). So Coil exists, and the PRT is as competent as it is in canon.

Keep in mind that you can currently only specify the hour of delivery; you can't set, say, 7:50 as the time (and you obviously can't pick times set before the in-story present), so the earliest is the hour 7:45 - 8:45. More crucially, you also can only specify the building, i.e., the hospital, not where in it.

But the letter will reach Taylor right? so long as she goes to said location
Not necessarily. The letter will appear somewhere at the location, sometime within the given time frame, and bear her name on the envelope. Beyond that, anybody who finds it can pick it up, open it and read it. Or they could see the name on the envelope and hand it to Taylor unread. The letter isn't going to appear in some unreachable or hard-to-find place (unless you use the higher levels of Location to specify that), but it will not necessarily put itself in Taylor's way (or that of another addressee).

You can upgrade Security to improve on that. The first Security upgrade ensures that even if someone else finds the letter, they can't open or read it (no matter what), the second level makes anybody but the addressee ignore it as long as the addressee doesn't draw attention to it (by picking it up or opening it in front of them, say), and the third makes them unable to perceive it entirely while unopened.

EDIT:
A more detailed version of the rules on letter delivery (and my reply on canon) are in the FAQ now, BTW. I also added the default Letter Form to the ability post.

Ok, this changes things for the first letter then, i though it would appear next to her.

We can send it by post to her house, so Danny brings it to her.

A Question, can we personalize how the envelope and the paper in wich the letter is?

No one said that it would be in hierogliph, but the papirus would prove beyond doubt that i did not come from the trio
Wait, do you meant the material papyrus (i.e., not paper), or the typeface Papyrus (which is often heavily disparaged for its wide use in inappropriate contexts)? I thought you meant the latter, but it seems you might have meant the former. Though either requires Letter Form.

i meant the former, the material so to speak.

Because i doubt any of the trio knows what a papyrus is, or what even looks like.

Well, technically it's been 24 hours. However, seeing as we have no full plan and only one letter draft, I'll keep voting open for another 12 hours.

I'll make it an official vote

[X] Plan: First Letter
Hello Taylor

It has been made aware to us, your current life state, after a brief investigation, we have decided to not let it continue, so we have decided to assist you in getting retribution for what has been done to you.
So we will provide you with information of one of the 3 main perpetrators of your current condition.

Just write the name of such in the reverse of this letter and burn it.

We hope you get a better life.

Signed: The Reunion

Well here's my plan. I haven't written something close to a formal letter in forever, but hey. I tried my best. While offering info on the trio is a good appeal, I thought giving Taylor the choice to ask whatever she wants might be the better option here. Also, we get some critical info such as word limit out of the way now. Hopefully, I did this right. Let me know what you all think.

[X] Plan: The Introduction
Greetings Taylor

We've been recently made aware of your situation, but circumstances have stopped us from interfering earlier. Luckily, we should now be able to maintain contact with you.
As a show of our sincerity, write any question on the back of this letter before disposing of it and we shall answer as best we can.

Please do keep in mind that circumstances have forced us to limit our letters to 100 words or less. This number is set to increase in the future.

I had the idea of cross-posting the quest to SB, to increase the number of planners and voters. The downside would of course be that that'd split discussion. How do y'all feel about that?

Greetings Taylor

We would like to introduce ourselves as a group that is dedicated to assisting you. Circumstances had stopped us from doing so earlier. Luckily, we should now be able to maintain contact with you.

Very nice! I would not have guessed your lack of (recent) experience with formal letters from this.
Technically, you'd need to specify that you want Post Delivery, but I can infer that from the address. Luckily, your QM isn't a robot ;)
Or is he!?

While this new letter seems better than mine it has a problem
a group that is dedicated to assisting you.
This, has the potential to have Taylor to just discard it as a prank, group dedicated to her? after all this time?
Better to say that her situation has been made aware to us, and we wish to help her, it would be more beliable than this.

The rest is way better than my idea.

Just reread with the change and now, to me, this feels a little odd, i admit that it is personal opinion.
Before the chnge the marked part was fine, but now... what if she ask what those circumstances were?

as i said the rest is fine, but i have 2 questions. Why say the limits o our letters? And since you told the letter limit. Why not that she can recieve a letter each day?
