[X] Aftermath
-[X] Redesignate "Valash's Hive Cluster" to "Hive Cluster V".
-[X] Evolve our Primary Hatchery into a Lair using 150 Minerals and 50 Vespine Gas.
-[X] Begin researching our "Zerg Pylon" using our Evolution Chamber.
-[X] Move 15 Spore Crawlers from Hive Cluster V to our Primary Hive Cluster. At each location, have the assigned Spore Crawlers take strategic positioning for ideal anti-air coverage.
-[X] Assign a grand total of 14 Zerglings to retrieve resources from the Warzone, arranged in four 3-Zergling teams and one 2-Zergling team.
-[X] Reassign our 21(?) Drones, current and upcoming.
--[X] Assign 2 Drones to harvest Gas from Primary Hive Cluster and 2 Drones to harvest Gas from Hive Cluster V.
--[X] Assign 6 Drones to Mine from Primary HC and 6 to mine from HC V.
--[X] Assign 3 Drones to harvest resources from the Warzone, each accompanied by 2 Zerglings.
--[X] Grow 1 Drone into a Roach Warren using 150 Minerals, located at Primary Hive Cluster.
--[X] Grow 1 Drone into a Creep Colony at the Primary Hive Cluster using 75 Minerals.
-[X] Assign Combat Forces
--[X] Assign 1 Hydralisk, 1 Roach, and 25 Zerglings each to Primary Hive Cluster and Hive Cluster V.
--[X] Assign 4 Overlords to each Hive Cluster, with Gnarl at Primary Hive Cluster.
--[X] Assign 1 Hydralisk, 2 Roaches, and 34 Zerglings to a central combat team to be assigned as needed.
---[X] Until further notice, Primary Combat Team is to patrol between the two Hive Clusters.
-[X] Grow 5 Drones using 25 Minerals and 125 Biomass.

Also, would it be possible to get the information you've given us on what it would take to research certain thing in one of the main info posts for sake of reference?

[X] Aftermath

I've got nothing better although I am saddened by lack of creep research and drone research although the Zerg Pylon probably is the best thing to research at this point.

Couple more research ideas I came up with today:

> Living Wall - Ability for a Drone to grow into a 'wall' structure for defense, including the ability to further increase its size over time to cover a longer area.

> Mole - A small, simple covert recon unit. Primarily used for scouting, spying, and otherwise keeping tabs on locations or enemy forces. Capable of moving at high speeds, and has the ability to burrow relatively quickly as well. Highly attuned senses allow it great capacity to know what's going on around it. While technically capable of defending itself with the most basic of claws, its only true defenses are its extensive ability to hide, avoid discovery, and run away from enemies; and ability to self destruct if needed, spraying acid when it does as protection against capture or a final revenge tactic against anything immediately surrounding it.

@Space Jawa You would have to research Zerglings and Overseers, as Zergling essence would be what gives the Mole its ability to burrow quickly.

You have Zerglings, yes, but you have yet to fully look at and fully understand them. You are the New Overmind, the leader and eternal will of the New Swarm. However, you don't have every little detail down to the last atom of your creations (yet). "Researching Zerglings" in this case does not mean "Learning how to make them", it means "figuring out what makes a Zergling".

Does that explanation clear things up, or just make less sense?

So it's the difference between being able to spawn Zerglings only, and being able to figure out Banelings, Swarmlings, and any other varieties we can think of?

We can grow new Zerglings, we have the building needed to build and research Zerglings, we have the ability to research upgrades for Zerglings. We've already researched burrowing and metabolic boost, both of which are things that make zerglings perform better and could be said to be directly related to the zergling-related things that the Mole would be intended to do.

It feels a little bit like knowing how to make a car, but being told that before we can research a van we have to research "Internal Combustion Engine" or being told that before we figure out how to make a motorcycle, we have to research "The Wheel".

EDIT: Other questions that come to mind:

If we have to research "Zerglings" for this, why don't we have to research "Drones" before doing any research into new buildings since those buildings evolve from Drones?

Or why wouldn't research of the elements that are taken from Zerglings included in the actual Mole research? If we don't need the whole Zergling, why couldn't Mole research include as part of it research into the parts of Zerglings that would be needed to make them work?

Think of it more as being the difference between being a mechanic and being an automotive design engineer. One of them can tune up a car, enhance it a little and keep it in good shape. The other one can design an entirely new chassis.

@Space Jawa @TempestK
Yes, to you, Tempest. You have the base "Zergling" and the ability to evolve and add to it. But you need to research and experiment with Zergling essence and basically act as your own Evolution Master (unless you decide to make one or two on your own) before you can manipulate it every which way you want.

Also, next post should be up within the next few hours. Sorry for the wait.

Evolution Master
Requires: 1 Lair, 3 Evolution Chambers
200 Minerals, 500 Vespene, 300 Biomass
Sacrifices 1 "Named Zerg"
Can perform research and experimentation. Speeds up evolution development.
This is going in the Primary Hive Cluster info page so that I stop forgetting.

Yes they do. They also retain most of their physical characteristics, such as if you sacrifice a Named Ultralisk, the resulting Evolution Master would resemble an Ultralisk
