With sufficient biomass and research, it is possible to create an "Avatar" kind of unit, a physical manifestation of your power.
Just saying~
I was referring to the brood war games where a bunch of cerebrates gathered together and recreated the overmind
also in SC2 zerg samples contain the DNA for the overmind body

I'll try to get a new post up tonight. Sorry for the wait, everyone. Get your plans and ideas in now.

As an addendum; discussion makes the QM happy. I enjoy coming here and seeing people talk about their ideas.

Week 4.1
Your plan has been working... somewhat. The Brood Mother's overlords have been slowly coming to your side, resulting in 3 Dominated overlords, and 3 newly-hatched ones. As a result, the wave of Zerglings coming towards you broke, slashing and clawing and tearing at each other, turning 50 Zerg hounds of war into 3 little puppies to be picked off by roach acid.

Your Drones have managed to pull in 110 minerals. Other than that, however, your economy remains cripplingly low, too small to sustain your Hive Cluster for the foreseeable future. This could be trouble...

The Brood Mother is furious at you, it seems. Gnarl has spotted a host of 37 Zerglings, 25 Roaches, and 31 Hydralisks barreling towards your base. The Zerglings will arrive quickly, in about 3 days, but the Roaches and Hydralisks will take 5.

There is also the matter of the Khadarin crystal... hrm...

What is your plan, O Overmind?
Units
  • Drone: 50 Minerals [5 Minerals, 25 Biomass] - 2 Days
  • Zerglings: 10 Biomass, 50 Minerals. - 1 Day
  • Overlord: 100 Minerals [10 Minerals, 50 Biomass] - 3 Days
Structures
  • Hatchery: 300 Minerals - 7 Days
  • Creep Colony: 125 Minerals - 2 Days
  • Evolution Chamber: 75 Minerals - 4 Days
  • Extractor: 25 Minerals - 1 Day
  • Hydralisk Den: 150 Minerals - 3 Days
Formulate a plan. Write-In.
Defenses; low. Economy; small. Create Drones. Mutate Colonies. Prepare for large waves.
Brood Mother spawning larva. Preparing another swarm. 60 Zerglings cocoons, not hatched yet. Strange. Possible mutation?

[X[ Forget atagonising the Brood Mother, she isn't under the control or aligned with directly hostile factions. Attempt to open communications with her directly and explain your cause to her, if she remains loyal to the overmind she should stop this pointless waste of resources. Additionalyl build 2 more drones, we need to be able to sustain ourselves. Back at base post scouting zerglings to pick up enemy forces in case the Brood mother decides to attack any way and form our roaches and hydralisks into mobile response teams. The remaining Zerglins will be split between harvesting Biomass and the quick response team that will react to overlord and zergling scouting data.

Cerebrate Quest? *Squees*

Okay, so we have an angry New Swarm lieutenant screaming for our... blood? Fluids?

Do we know what kind of defensive measures we could bring up on short notice besides making more overlords to try and dominate her forces?

All your morphable units and structures are listed in the last post, as well as their cost and how long it would take to make them. Your current resources (as well as how many resources are remaining in your "nodes") are listed in the Alpha Hive Cluster informational post.

Okay, so we can afford everything but the hatchery and hydralisk den.

I personally think growing a creep colony is a good first step. Then next turn we bring up more drones and finally more zerglings.

Thoughts?

will we have time to turn the creep colony into a sunken colony/build up a force of zerglings before the enemy arrives in force?

Honestly, I think before anything we need to get our production base stable or we're asking for trouble. The creep colonies would factor as a something I would do slightly afterwards, especially as an attack force is on its way to us.

How many of each unit do we have at this point, and what do our resource stockpiles look like? Idk if it was posted somewhere and I've just been blind to it or not.

This thing still lives, guys. However, since you have yet to reach a consensus, I'm giving you tonight and tomorrow to formulate a plan, otherwise we'll just do something random.

[X] proceed to try to dominate the brood mother OBEY!

This is better then doing something random.

As a note, you guys are missing your defensive plan. You can try to dominate the brood mother, but what's the use if feral Zerg tear you to pieces?

They are. However, once you dominate the brood mother, they will likely become feral (depending on RNGsus), as they did when you dominated the Overlords
dominate broodmother, then using her we regain control of all her forces with the now increased psionic ability? we took the head, temporary feralness expected, but we can still always retake control. unless I am missing something.

edit: oh we have to explicitly specify we were going to just dominate everyone with the broodmother being the first you mean despite her being the head?

[X] Plan Command & Conquer
-[X] Battle Plan
--[X] 9 Zerglings organized into three teams of three are to remain in reserve in immediate reserve around the hive for a last-line of defense, with immediate priority on protecting the hatchery and drones.
--[X] A defensive line of 40 Zerglings is to form a barrier on the far edge of our immediate perimeter directly in the path of the attacking Zerglings. Directly behind them are to be lined up the Roaches and Hydralisk, who will wait for the enemy Zerglings to come within range and then open fire until such time as the enemy Zerglings close the distance with our Zerglings and can not be shot without risking our own forces. At this point the Roaches and Hydralisks are to retreat back to the Hive.
--[X] 85 Zerglings are to move into the jungle and prepare to make hit and run ambush attacks against the isolated Roaches and Hydralisks, hitting them when they can get in close without giving the enemy forces a chance to strike first and doing as much damage as they can, retreating when the enemy is capable of fighting back, and then rushing through the jungle to another ideal ambush point closer to base. These hit and run attacks are to continue until either the Zerglings can confidently finish off the enemy forces - at which point they should do so - or until the Roaches and Hydralisks have made clear that they are prepare for any further ambushes, at which point the Zerglings should return to base and prepare a coordinated defense alongside any remaining forces at the hive.
--[X] Assign 3 Overlords to attempting to hijack command of the attacking forces and immediately turning them against their fellow aggressors.
-[X] proceed to try to dominate the brood mother - OBEY!
--[X] If successful, immediately begin efforts to dominate all forces previously under the Brood Mother's command.
-[X] Grow two additional Drones using 100 Minerals and have them immediately start collecting minerals.
-[X] Have one drone evolve into an Extractor using 25 Minerals.
