I don't see there being any other choice in the current situation, trying to force the fight is foolhardy given how poorly equipped and trained our militia is.

Seeing as the headsmen will be doing law I've changed my vote.

Hopefully capping a node will reduce the growth rate of additional nodes. And if the knight can help that would be good. Also soldier charms to keep us safe, @Vocalend can you assist with this?

@veekie, would you mind if you switch the Law action for a Carve Soldier Charm action? This would help increase the odds of success in patrolling as our militias are more 'armoured' against the spirits.

So, just a crazy idea I'm going to throw out here. Have we considered still selling the crystal?

Like, there might well be Sages who would like the power in a crystal that draws in local spirits. As @Xon noted, from the right kind of perspective it's essentially a free spirit lure. And it would get it far away enough from Bairglad for it to no longer be our problem.

It's a higher risk strategy, and it would require someone crazy enough to try getting the crystal out of the village and its surroundings before the ghasts and wights caught up...

The Adventurer skill set is crazy enough to try something like that.

Safety not guaranteed. Failure will result in death and the undead obtaining the crystal.
Since this is your mess, you get to clean it up :p

Week 5 Personal Action Update
Attention everyone!

Alaric has successfully convinced Reinner to aid him in making a run for it with the crystal, so if Alaric actually goes through with the act Reinner will not be patrolling the node but aiding in distracting the undead for Alaric to make a run for it.

I will allow for additional time to change your mind on your actions (for example rearranging the militia action to also aid in offering a distraction and cover).
 
@veekie will you be updating your vote to reflect this? If so I can proxy my vote to you as I am going to have limited access to SV for the coming 24 hrs. This means we do not want to try and cap the node, probably put Katrin on studying dungeonmaster or oracle and move our labor to patrol or assist the knight. The carve charms should still be taken as depending on when in the week those finish they could be used during the distraction attempt, at worse we have them for use in the labyrinth at a later date.
