Finally got around to finishing this today. Feels a bit wonky so if you think something needs to be improved don't be afraid to ask.
I'll be keeping the voting open for a few days for everyone to work out their ideas. Again next update will most likely be next weekend.
Until then, enjoy.

"What do ya say?"
What do you say?
You ponder. You examine. You prod. You imagine. In the few seconds of your personal eternity you think of all the lives that could be saved by this. But how much will you be able to do? You want to stay on the front lines, help Kirito, but could you really afford to drag your team through it all?
"I want you guy's honest opinions." You direct to the rest of Fuurinkazan. "What do you want to do?"
"Us?" Issin speaks up first. "But you're the leader."
"Yeah," You reply, "but what's the point of leading if no one wants to follow?"
"Heh. That's just like you Klein." Dale chuckles. "I think we should focus on the monsters. If their attack patterns have changed then the whole game is different."
"But what about the loot?" Dynamn quips. "We could start trying to get the best weapons and gear and sell what we don't want for more Col."
"Or," Issin points out, "we could give our extra gear to starting players. Try helping them get out in the field."
"That won't be enough." Kunimittz berates. "We'd have to train most of them or find some way of giving them battle experience. That is, if the rat keeps its promises." Refusing to even make eye contact with her.
"Of course she will." You state. "She's a friend of Kirito and he didn't lie to me." Looking back at Argo her checks seem to be redder behind the hand covering her mouth. Or is that just the whisker paint?
"I want to find out more about these 'Goddesses'." Harry One proclaims as if he hadn't been listening to the others. "They seem to be the center of this new Aincrad and knowledge on them could open up more important quests."
So many things to do with many more ways to do them. Everyone with a different outlook and set of experience. How to craft a balanced sharp blade from it.
Wind, Wood, Fire, Mountain.
"Why not all of it?" You think out loud. You should try to fix that.
"All of it?" This time it's Argo that speaks in shock.
"Well…not every little thing." You reprimand. "If we start leveling up for the floor boss we're going to be running into plenty of monsters to study. Quests can get us all the gear and items we could need and if the subject of who or what these 'Goddesses' are comes up we can try to press it. I'm not sure how we'd get more players battle ready but we can start something up along the way." Actually, this sound halfway decent. "We'd be spread short for a while but if it helps save lives I say we should shoot for it." You can't help but smile.
Argo looks at you gaspingly, hand still over her mouth. Can you catch colds in this game?
"I take it back Klein." Issin speaks up again. "'That', is the lamest thing you've ever said."
"Oi!"
"Plus two points." Argo bring you back to reality…kind of.
"Uh…On...o-on what scale?" You ask. A coy smirk now rests on her face rather than her hand.
She never answers, instead she opens and rummages through her inventory. After a few moments a trade window appears before you.
Argo wishes to trade:
Sword Arts: Beginner's Guide 'Don't worry, its Argo's guide'
Sword Arts: Advanced Guide 'Don't worry. Its Argo's guide'
Skill Arts: Beginner's Guide 'Don't worry. Its Argo's guide'
Floor one notes: Mobs
Floor one notes: Items
Floor one notes: Locations
Floor one notes: Quests
: For 000 Col.
Yes ( ) No ( )
"A-all this…for free?" You ask dumbfounded.
"No, not free." Argo explains. "I'm expectin' twice tha amount of info from you guys than if ya were only goin' to get one of them." Her eyes looking like those of a hungry predator. Definitely a floor boss.
"Uh..sure. We'll try to do as much as we can." You answer as you press accept. The first step has been made, but where will you be when you reach your thousandth? No, you'll think about that when the time comes.
"An' agreed. All done." Argo voices her end before getting up and heading to the door. "I'll be wantin' a message everyday even if it's just 'bout nothin'. We'll need ta know what doesn't change just as much as what does." She says as she messes with her menu screen again.
'Argo wants to be friends'
Yes ( ) No ( )
You might as well accept. Argo is now the eighth person in your friend's list.
"Ah, one last thing." She calls half way through the door. "It's guys like you tat I find tha most interestin', Clean-bou." For the moment she looks at you before the door closes that predatory gaze of hers sends a shiver down your spine.
What? What was that about?
"Lolicon."
"Alright. Who said that?"
************
The night had been long, to the point you almost forgot what the sun was like, digital signals or not. After Argo left your team had spent the rest of the night reading up on the various skills you could in the game and testing them in field. You even discovered the 'Dueling' option that helped hugely in getting everyone used to fighting before even going into combat. You have some ideas on how this could be used later.
But right now it was a bit past seven in the morning after your team had only gotten three hours of sleep. You were waiting on everyone in one of the large but empty main stone courtyards for them to find the items and gather quests you should need before you leave. In the mean time you were review game mechanics for battle strategies and possible routes to take before the floor boss.
"So," You say only to yourself, "Sword arts cost sword points (SP) so people don't spam them seen as a purple bar under your health. SP can be regained by hitting an enemy with either sword arts or common strikes or regaining health. Another but invisible gauge is the tension meter that is built up with each strike improving your hit rate and damage seen as a blue aura over a player's body. When tension is high enough for the whole party the party leader can call for a 'unison attack' that refills the SP gauge and allows everyone to attack in a row building up damage the longer it goes. Unison Attacks can be extended by how much affinity party members have with each other which can be raised byARUG!" You moan realizing how much Kirito didn't tell you.
Of course there is the fact that Kirito is a solo player and would know anything about unison attacks but that just makes you wish you had of brought him back with you. Are you sure he's even still alive and if he is how is he mentally or emotionally? You want to message him but might be in the middle of a quest or fight a mob that's too strong and get him ki-
"!YOU GOT MAIL!"
AND GOD DAMN, you've really got to change that message tone. Who'd send you a message now of all time—Kirito. Kirirto sent you a message.
TO: Klein
FROM: Kirito
SUBJECT: You still alive?
"Just found a chance to contact you. How is everything?'
'You still alive?' You want to laugh. All that worrying and he's worried about you instead. Or was that a joke?
TO: Kirito
From: Klein
SUBJECT: Staying Alive
'Pretty good. Got in contact with Argo last night and have been practicing with my team ever since. We're about to leave to hunt and do some quests. How are things on your end?'
And while you wait time to change that alert tone.
.
.
.
.
.
It's been five minutes. He should've called back by n-
'Ding!'
Or maybe not. At least the alert tone isn't so annoying anymore.
TO: Klein
FROM: Kirito
SUBJECT: Sorry for the wait
'Didn't think you'd reply so fast and got caught up in something else. Just wanted to say that it should take about nine days to get to the boss room and a raid meeting should be held about that time. I'll try to message you about it but listen up for it encase I can't. Try to be around level ten.
I also noticed something strange about an old quest. I think Kayaba might have changed some things since the Beta.'
Bzz bzz. Bzz bzz.
TO: Kirito
FROM: Klein
SUBJECT: About that
'You mean the Goddesses? Argo noticed that and told us to keep a look out for it.'
Bzz bzz. Bzz bzz.
TO: Klein
FROM: Kirito
SUBJECT: N/A
'Of course she did. That infophilic would notice that. I don't know what it means but stay safe.'
Bzz bzz. Bzz bzz.
TO: Kirito
FROM: Klein
SUBJECT: N/A
'Yeah. See you at the floor boss.'
Bzz bzz. Bzz bzz.
That confirms it. Two Beta Testers have noticed a change in the main game. What are these Goddesses and how do they work into Aincrad? If Kayaba was just going to stick all of you into a death cage why would he want to add something like this? Was it all just some sick game to him or was he expecting something more from the players?
Bzz bzz. Bzz bzz.
And that water fountain was starting to get very distracting.
.
.
.
A water fountain that wasn't there before. This was just an empty, stone courtyard not two minutes ago so where did this come from?
Looking it over it's one of those sculpture fountains where water pores out from a vase of some kind. On this one the water came out of cracks in a head sized egg that's beginning to puddle in its outstretched hands holding the egg before overflowing and flowing to the pool below like a waterfall. Although it's wearing a large cloak it shows off enough feminine curves but also seems to keep a motherly charm to it with its head turned down and eyes closed. On top of its equally waterfall like hair lies a ring almost like a halo with stylized bird wings protruding from it just above its ears. As odd as the ring is it's the cloak it wears that catches your attention the most as you feel like you've seen it once before, and recently too. It a full form cloak that covers its feet and arms with a hood that lays off its head and under its hair upon its back.
The Grand Egg must be born.
Where have you seen this? It was in the game you know but whe-
Welcome to my game.
"Hey Klein!" Someone calls for you from behind. As you turn you see the rest of your team, the voice must have being Issin 'cause he's the only one with the lungs to call from that distance.
What were you doing again? You were looking at something but there's only an empty courtyard here. Guess it was a daydream then.
"Oi." You call back as you come up to meet them. "You guys get everything?"
"Yeah. The lines were surprisingly short." Harry One starts off.
"It looks like we're the first ones to leave the city today." Dale filled in.
"We've got as much as we could buy. I even got some crafter players to agree to give us some upgrades if we bring them some materials." Issin, ever the business man, remarks.
"Alright." You speak up. "Just got a message from Kirito not too long ago that said it be around nine days before the boss room is found so we need to be around level ten and at the tower base by then. So, here's the plan."
