Under a rock.
For the girl known as Kiyohime, life was dull.

Wake up. Eat. Clean. Ensure that the visiting priests were comfortable. Cook food. Clean more. Sleep.

The closest that the girl ever got to something resembling interesting was the letters from her friend, Misukume. Kiyohime hadn't met her in person in years, but they still exchanged letters regularly. The girl had gone on to join the imperial court of Emperor Toba, and certainly lived a much more exciting life then Kiyohime did.

Life was a monochrome blur, each day indistinguishable from the next. On and on, it repeated endlessly.

Life was a monochrome blur, each day indistinguishable from the next. On and on, it repeated endlessly.

Life was a monochrome blur, each day indistinguishable from the next. On and on, it repeated endlessly.

Until she met him.

The priest's visit wasn't something that was unexpected. Kiyohime lived with her mother, on the route to a shrine. Priests would stay for a night on their trip to the shrine. It wasn't something that came as a surprise.

But this priest wasn't like the others. They were grumpy old men, for the most part. This one was different.

His name was Anchin. And from the moment they met, Kiyohime's world changed.

He was polite. He was nice. He helped Kiyohime with her chores, even as her mother told him that he didn't need to. He was handsome. When he smiled, Kiyohime's heart skipped a beat.

When Anchin called her beautiful, Kiyohime realized she was in love.

When he left to visit the shrine, Kiyohime waited. He still had to return from the shrine, and when he did, he would stay another night. Another chance to see Anchin... It was all she wanted.

The world seemed much more lively, in that day. Much more colourful. Much more beautiful.

As the day drew to an end, Anchin returned. Kiyohime saw him come, and was overjoyed. She didn't leave his side once, that night.

When the morning came, he had to leave once more. And suddenly, Kiyohime was afraid. What if she never saw him again?

And so, as he left, Kiyohime told him everything.

She spoke of her love, of how he gave the world a purpose. She begged him to stay, and when he said he could not, begged him to take her with him.

Anchan once again said he could not. He said that his duties as a priest would keep him too busy, and that he would be unable to care for her if she came with him. But, to dry her tears, he promised that he would return one day, and would marry her when he did.

With the knowledge that he would return, Kiyohime was calmed. And so, madly in love, she waited.

And waited.

And waited.

Weeks passed. She waited.

Months passed. She waited.

Years passed. She waited.

Anchin never returned.

It wasn't until after her mother died, that Kiyohime realized that Anchin wasn't coming back. And with that realization, she wept.

Her tears fell endlessly for days and days, and the sorrow she felt rooted into her heart.

Years passed. Misukume's letters had stopped coming. Anchin finally returned.

He was old, now. Kiyohime didn't recognize him at first. But once she did, the sorrow in her heart turned to hate.

Her face took a scary look, and at the sight of her, Anchin grew fearful, and ran. She chased him, until they came to a river.

Anchin was allowed into a boat, which left before she arrived. Her hate still strong, she swam after the boat.

She loved him. She loved him, she loved him, she loved him. He betrayed her. He abandoned her. She was sad. She was sad, she was sad, she was sad she was sad she hated him she hated him she hated him hate hate hate hate hate-

When she came out of the water, she was no longer 'Kiyohime, the Human,' but 'Kiyohime, the Dragon.'

Her hate spurred her on, and she chased him to a temple. The priests inside tried to stop her, and in her rage, she killed them. Eventually, they ran, and she allowed them to escape.

She could smell Anchin, hiding from her. She followed the scent, and found him, hiding underneath a giant bell.

She could have moved it, easily. but she refused. Instead, she would make him suffer, like she had suffered.

Her breath was set aflame, and the bell melted. Anchin died, covered in molten steel.

And as the target of her hate died, all that Kiyohime had left was the sorrow.

By the time the priests arrived to exorcise her, Kiyohime had already died of a broken heart.

~~~~~
Love... Hurt so bad. But still... It was better then the alternative. The world as it was, monochrome and lifeless, was not something Kiyohime wanted to return to.
Perhaps, the next time she found love, they wouldn't leave her. And if they tried...
She wouldn't let them.
Character Sheet
Status
Class: Berserker
True Name: Kiyohime
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Parameters
Strength: E
Endurance: E
Agility: C
Mana: E
Luck: E
Skills
Mad Enhancement: EX
An odd variation. Unlike usual Mad Enhancement, Kiyohime is not forced into madness. However, as she grows angry, she gets more and more easy to enrage, before eventually growing so mad that her Noble Phantasm activates.
Additionally, even before she grows furious, she gains a special kind of madness- Kiyohime believes her Master to be Anchin reincarnated. Whether this is the result of Mad Enhancement, or merely her own delusion, is ambiguous. As a result, her Master must take great care to avoid her wrath, and it is highly likely that she will fall in love with her Master if she is treated properly.
Shapeshift: C
A Skill that allows Kiyohime to take on a more draconic appearance. This is only available after growing sufficiently mad, however. The more dragon-like she is, the higher her draconic attributes (Instinct, Magic Resistance, etc) are. However, anti-dragon weapons grow more effective against her.
'Stalking': B
Not a True Skill, but rather two, that are fused into one on her sheet, due to her personality. Stalking is a fusion of C-Rank Presence Concealment, and D-Rank Presence Detection. When looking for a person within a kilometre of her, Kiyohime can detect them instantly. Additionally, she can follow a person without detection herself, without the use of Presence Detection or a similar skill of B Rank or more.
Noble Phantasm
Samadhi Through Transforming Flames - Tenshin Kashou Zanmai
Rank: EX
Description: This Noble Phantasm can only be activated through Mad Enhancement reaching it's peak- Not even the use of Command Seals can force her into this form, though they can speed up her growing rage. Upon growing hateful enough, Kiyohime re-enacts legend, and becomes a mighty dragon.
She cannot sustain this form for long, and while in this form, her rage blinds her, leaving her unable to tell friend from foe. However, in this form, she is functionally unbeatable to anyone who lacks an anti-dragon legend, such as Siegfried, Lancelot, Sasaki Kojiro or Saint George.
Update 2
[X] In a world of Metal and Gears.
To be summoned from the Throne of Heroes is an odd experience.
The dull, monochrome world around Kiyohime seemed to fade into colour once again, but nowhere near as much as it had been before.
She was human again, now. What had happened at the end of her life, with her wrath spiralling out of control... It had been undone. She had been reborn.
Perhaps... Anchin had been reborn as well? He may have been a horrible person who broke her heart, but... She was not the draconic monster she had died as. She was... As she was.
Perhaps, when Anchin had been reborn, he had gone through something similar? Perhaps he was the kind priest who had called her beautiful and promised to return, not the monster who had betrayed her and abandoned her.
Opening her eyes to the world once more, Kiyohime looked at her Master.
It was Anchin. She was sure of it. He had to be. Why he was wearing a gas mask, Kiyohime wasn't sure, but it was unrecognisably him.
At the back of her mind, Kiyohime felt a psychic presence, trying to read her thoughts. Anchin was the only one here, so she let it in.
That was new, but if Anchin could read minds now, then it was good. She would be able to show him how much she loved him, and he would forgive her for killing him, and they could be together at last.
After a moment of reading her thoughts, Anchin turned away from her.
"Nope. Not touching that. Nu-uh. Not happening."
And with that, he began to levitate, and floated away, chanting "Nope Nope Nope" as he went.
Kiyohime frowned.
He... Was still upset about his death, wasn't he?
Yes, that would make sense. She had murdered him, after all. Even if he deserved it, he wouldn't just forgive it.
Perhaps she should just forget about him. The monochrome world without love was horrible, but if he wasn't going to love her anyway...
...What was she thinking! Leave Anchin, without even trying to make things work? No, she couldn't do that!
She could salvage things. Make Anchin realize how much he meant to her. And if that didn't work, she'd keep trying, until she met someone else, or it worked!
Nodding to herself, Kiyohime set off in pursuit of her Master.
"Ah, Anchin! Wait!"
Running after him, Kiyohime quickly realized that she had no idea which way Anchin went.
And for that matter, where was she?
The Servant looked around for a minute, getting a look at her surroundings.
She was in some sort of hallway, with windows to her left. Other then that, she couldn't tell.
As she looked around, someone began walking around the corner.
He was an old man, with a redish-brown trenchcoat and a white moustache. He was he, and was taking a sip when he turned the corner.
He stopped walking when he saw Kiyohime, and observed her for a second before he began to talk.
"A Servant, huh..." He mused, in a Russian accent. "Well, between the fact that you're the only Servant I can sense right now, and that you haven't torn my face off yet, I'm going to assume that you're the Servant that Mantis was meant to summon. Where is he, anyway?"
Kiyohime frowned. "Mantis?"
The man mirrored the Servants frown. "You... Did he seriously run off at the sight of you? I thought it was touching girls that was his problem, not... Well, never mind. Since you obviously didn't get to the point where he introduces himself, allow me to explain."
He gestured around him with his left arm, while keeping his right arm still.
"This place, here? Foxhound headquarters. Military task force. Your Master and I are both members."
He took a sip of his coffee, before he continued.
"Since you don't know any names, I'm Revolver Ocelot, and your Master is Psycho Mantis. A telepath, and a telekinetic."
Kiyohime muttered the names under her breath, nodding as she did so.
"No interruptions? Good. I hate to be interrupted when I'm in the middle of a monologue." Ocelot said. "Anyway, long story short, the United States Government seized a magical device a few decades back- The 'Holy Grail.' It summons Servants, such as yourself, and makes them fight for a wish, which is granted when all but one of the Servants are dead."
"I know how the Holy Grail works." Kiyohime replied. "It told me when I was summoned, when explaining the basics of the modern era."
Ocelot nodded. "Good. Won't have to go on for long. Anyway, as you can probably tell, the Holy Grail activated a while back. The United States doesn't want any of America's enemies to have a shot at the free wish, so we've been trying to summon all the Servants ourselves. Foxhound doesn't know who else has summoned a Servant, if anyone, but we know that you are one of the first- Psycho Mantis is the world's most powerful psychic, and one of the few people who can support a Servant without the Grail's help, without his own abilities suffering too much."
Ocelot took a sip of his coffee, and looked at Kiyohime again. "Though now that I think about it, aren't you a bit sane for a Berserker?"
Kiyohime smiled. "I suppose Anchin's presence is enough for me to retain my mind."
Ocelot blinked. "Anchin?"
"My Master." Replied the Berserker.
Ocelot looked like he was going to object, before his eyes started to shine. "Wait, Anchin... You wouldn't happen to be Kiyohime, would you?"
Oh, he had worked out her True Name. Perhaps she shouldn't call Anchin by his name in future, so that her enemies didn't do the same.
Bowing slightly, Berserker replied. "Yes, that would be me."
Ocelot didn't reply for a while. His eyes seemed to show him fantasizing about something, and his lips slowly twisted into a grin.
After a minute or so, Kiyohime cleared her throat. "Ocelot?"
The old man blinked, before remembering what was going on. "Oh, uh... Sorry, Kiyohime. You know how we old people are. Always getting distracted and stuff..."
Rubbing the back of his head, Ocelot continued. "Well, anyway, I was going to take you down to see the rest of Foxhound... But now that I think about it, you might want to see Anchin. What do you think?"
[X] Go meet Foxhound. Anchin will come to you when he is ready to see you.
Update 3
[X] Go find Anchin. You have a lot to talk about~ ♥
"Let's go find Anchin." Kiyohime decided.
After all, if she never talked to him again, then there was no chance that they could make amends for what happened in their previous life. But if they did talk, then she would be able to show him how much she regretted killing him. And then, maybe, they could try again...
"Alright then." Ocelot replied, with a smile. "Let's go, then. Do you know which way he went?"
Kiyohime opened her mouth to reply, but then realized something.
"...Curious." She noted. "I have a Skill that is meant to help me detect people, but I cannot locate Anchin with it."
Ocelot mused on that for a moment. "...Well, it makes sense. For a psychic of his calibre, using the Master-Servant link as a gateway to your mind, and using his power to make you unable to realize when you have detected him is something that he could be capable of."
"...Wow." Kiyohime gushed. "Anchin is amazing."
Ocelot nodded. "Clearly. Still, he is rather predictable, and this building is only so big. There's only three or four places he could be hiding right now. If I had to guess..."
He looked around for a moment, before coming to a conclusion.
"Follow me."
~~~~~
After five minutes, Ocelot led Kiyohime to a room, two floors up from where she had been summoned.

"He could be in here." Ocelot noted. "Most people don't think to look in the box room."

Opening the door, the man went in, and Kiyohime followed.

Ocelot calling it 'The Box Room' didn't do it enough credit. The room was filled with cardboard boxes, of various sizes. Some small enough that a dog could barely fit in it, others large enough to conceal Kiyohime in her dragon-form. The rom seemed almost impossibly big, and certainly seemed larger then it appeared on the outside.

Strolling through it, Ocelot looked around.

"Where could he be..." He muttered.

A breeze fell into the room, and Ocelot stood still. "...The window's open, isn't it?" He asked.

Running to the back of the room herself, Kiyohime confirmed his suspicions. "It is. Do you think Anchin jumped out of here?"

"Almost certainly." Ocelot replied. "Damn it. With his mind reading, he'll be able to do this all day."

"Where would he run to after this?" Kiyohime asked. Ocelot considered it for a moment.

"...Well..." He began. "With the trickery he's managing at the moment, he might try and stop by Decoy Octopu..."

Ocelot trailed off, realizing something. "Oh, wait. That's right. Octopus asked me to move some stuff for him now."

Kiyohime thought for a moment. "You said Anchin would see him? Perhaps you could show me there, and move this Octopus's stuff while I chase Anchin?"

"Good idea." Ocelot noted, walking towards the door. "I'll just get a box to move his stuff..."

Leaning down, Ocelot reached for a cardboard box.

A second before he picked it up, however, it burst into the air, and the man hiding beneath it ran for the door.

He was fast. Unfortunately for him, Kiyohime was faster, and stopped him at the door.

"Where are you going, Anchin?" She asked.

The man in the gas mask took a step back. "Hello, Berserker..." He said captiously. Behind him, Ocelot pulled a camera out of his jacket, and aimed it at the couple.

A moment passed, before Kiyohime decided to break the silence.

"I'm sorry, Anchin." She said. "I... I'm sorry I killed you. It was a horrible thing for me to do. I'd... I'd understand if you never want to be with a monster like me again."

"I-" Anchin started, before Kiyohime interrupted.

"B-But..." She began. "I... I still care about you, Anchin. I love you. I know you might hate me for what I did, but please... Can we be together? Like you promised?"

The Berserker was on the verge of tears, as she begged her Master for that which she longed for. Anchin took a moment to probe her mind, likely to judge that she was being sincere, before replying.

"I-" He began, sounding like he was forcing himself to say something unpleasant. "I would love to, Berserker. But, you see, I am already in a romantic relationship."

In the distance, Ocelot bit back a laugh. This passed unknown to Kiyohime, who stared at Anchin, heartbroken.

"Already... With who?"

"A... Female... Human... I met on the internet... Who lives in Canada." Anchin replied, his voice sounding more and more strained by the moment.

"I see." Kiyohime replied, her voice fading into a monotone.

Anchin continued to speak, but the words were lost on the Berserker, lost as she was in her own thoughts.

Anchin had been lost to her... Not because he hated her, but because someone had beaten her to him. After all those years alone, dreaming on Anchin... He was now, forever, beyond her grasp.

A moment passed, as Anchin looked at Berserker in silence. Having realized she wasn't listening, he had stopped wasting his breath. As the moment passed, Kiyohime realized what she had to do.

[X] Burn Everything.
[X] Kill Anchin.
[X] Kill Anchin's Canadian Lover.
[X] Seduce Anchin away from his Canadian Lover.
[X] ...No. As much as it pained her, Kiyohime knew what must be done. She had to move on. Find someone else. Forget about Anchin.

Update 4
[X] Seduce Anchin away from his Canadian Lover.

It was simple, really. If Anchin had a lover, then all Kiyohime had to do was prove that she loved him more. It couldn't be too hard, after all. After all, what did this Canadian woman have that could compete with her love? She, who had waited years for Anchin to come back to her?

Nothing.

Kiyohime knew she was better for Anchin than this internet woman. All she needed to do was prove it. All she needed to do was worm her way back into Anchin's heart, deeper than ever. All she needed was time, and she had plenty of that. It wasn't as if she was ever going to leave Anchin's side.

"Oh, god no." Anchin stated, causing Kiyohime to look up at him.

"Please, god, have mercy." He pleaded. "What did I ever do to deserve this? Apart from all the sinning, I mean. That doesn't count."

Kiyohime frowned, and looked over at Revolver Ocelot. "Did you say something?" She asked.

The old man nodded. "Ugh... Yeah. I gave him a coded message, from out boss. No idea what it meant, but apparently, it was pretty bad."

Kiyohime looked at Anchin thoughtfully.

Clearly, there was some problem in the orders that was stressing him out. A difficult to preform task, or really bad news. Either way, perhaps she could help with that?

"Nope." Anchin said. Clearly, this was a coincidence, and had nothing to do with the fact that he was a mind reader who could understand her mental train of thought. "I'm out of here."

And with that, the roof above Anchin opened up, allowing the psychic to levitate through it, before sealing shut behind him.

"...Oh." Kiyohime muttered. "I was going to ask if I could help him..."

"He wouldn't have been able to answer anyway." Ocelot replied, trying to cheer her up. "Trust me, I should know. When the higher-ups give you orders, they usually include a Geis to stop word from spreading. Anchin couldn't tell you anything about those, even if he wanted to."

Looking up at the crack in the roof that Mantis had disappeared to, Ocelot continued. "Anyway, it just occurred to me that I'd already given Octopus his stuff. Memory's the first thing to go, it seems. But anyway, I have a little bit of time. I can help you go find Mantis if you want. Or I could introduce you to Foxhound. Your choice."

Kiyohime thought about it for a moment.

She really wanted to chase after Anchin... But, seduction wasn't her forte. She needed time to teach herself how it was done, as well as time to put her knowledge into action. Again, time was no issue. She and Anchin had all of eternity together, after all.

...Huh. For a moment, Kiyohime swore she could hear a loud sobbing sound in the distance. How odd.

But no matter.

"I'd like to meet the rest of Foxhound now, Ocelot." Kiyohime said.

The old man nodded. "Follow me, then."

~~~~~
After several minutes of wandering around aimlessly, Kiyohime heard a low growling noise.
"Do you hear that?" She asked. Revolver Ocelot nodded.
"It sounds like a wolf." He said. "Which means it's..."
He trailed off, and right on cue, two beings came out from around the corner. The first, a wolf, locked eyes with Kiyohime immediately, it's growl intensifying. The second, a human woman, glared at the dog.
"Bertie! Vat has gotten into you? Calm down."
The wolf looked at the woman, and reluctantly, it backed down. However, it still watched Kiyohime warily, and always made sure to be in front of the woman.
"Sorry about zat." The woman said, in an accent that not even the Grail could pin a country to. "I'm not sure vat came over him. Bertie's not usually like vat, I swear."
"Maybe he just doesn't like Servants?" Suggested Ocelot. The woman looked at Kiyohime.
"Servant... So, you're Mantis' Berserker, zen? I vas vondering ven he vould summon..."
"That's me." Kiyohime replied. "It's nice to meet you, miss..."
"Oh, pardon me. Vere are my manners. I am called Sniper Volf."
"It's nice to meet you, Wolf." Kiyohime replied. "I'm-"
"Don't tell me." The sniper interrupted. "Mantis is not ze only mind reader in zis vorld. Even if my Magecraft is decent, I'm not match for any experience telepath. Keep your name to yourself, just in case."
"...I understand." Kiyohime said. "You can just call me Berserker, then."
"It's a pleasure, Berserker." Sniper Wolf said. "Zough I have to ask... You seem a bit coherent for a Berserker, don't you?"
"I got a read of her stats when we met." Ocelot interrupted. "My interpretation of this sorta thing varies from the norm, but the meaning is the same. Berserker's Mad Enhancement doesn't fit the scale right. In other words, she's special."
Kiyohime smiled at the praise.
Before the conversation could continue, however, 'Bertie' rubbed against Sniper Wolf's leg, whining.
"Vat is it, Bertie?" She asked. "I'm in ze middle of something here..."
"Maybe he's hungry?" Suggested Ocelot.
The sniper sighed. "Fine, zen. Come on, Bertie, I'll get you a snack."
For a moment, Kiyohime would have sworn she saw the wolf throw Ocelot a thankful look. After that, the two left, with Bertie always making sure to stay between Sniper Wolf and Kiyohime.
"Well, that's out sniper." Ocelot said. "She's pretty good, you know. She was taught by Big Boss himself, and... Well, I'll get into it later. After all, we have three teammates left, and I only have..."
Ocelot looked at his watch, and nearly jumped out of his skin.
"Is that the time? Already?" He questioned. "Sorry, Berserker. I don't have as much time as I thought I did. I'll just have to quickly escort you to another member, then run off to an appointment."
"That's okay." Kiyohime said. "I understand. Who are we going to see now?"
"I'll let you decide." Ocelot said. "There are three choices. First up is Vulcan Raven. He's a shaman, and not including Psycho Mantis, has better Magecraft than anyone else on the team. He keeps tabs on the Moonlit World, so he can tell you what to expect in the Grail War.
"Second is Decoy Octopus. I'm not sure what he does, but it's no Magecraft. He can make himself look like anyone else, like a skinwalker that doesn't actually take skin away from people.
"Last is Liquid Snake. He's... Well, he's an idiot. If I didn't know his past, I'd question his role on this team. But, here's the important part, he knew Mantis when they were kids. He could give you an insight into your Master's personality, if you could handle his stupidity."
Ocelot paused for breath, and took a moment to read Kiyohime's reaction. "So, what's it gonna be?"
