The Great Darkness that once threatened the safety of the worlds has...
Musical Girl
[x] Musical Girl

"Good morning Good morning." Your alarm clock begins as you open your eyes. "It's great to play outside."

Whelp it looks like it's time to get up for the day! You've always been a bit of a morning person but who can blame you!

Throwing off your blankets you turn off said alarm clock walk over to your clothing drawer. It's a relatively simple thing as is most of the furniture in Master Yen Sid's Tower, but you don't mind it's still pretty good and arrangements clothing compared to what you used to have access too. Not that you disliked your old life, it's just that all of this is a marked improvement compared to it.

It's your first day learning under the Master himself, and you're supper exited to do so! Yen Sid is such a kind man and even though he's retired he's so powerful, you saw him too downs so many of those dark monsters that had been terrorizing your old home like they were nothing, and nothing other than you're Keyblade had been effective against them up until that point, but he just magic them away! Even if it wasn't enough to 'release their hearts' it at least managed to put a top to them for a moment.

Even better today is the day that Master Yen Sides other apprentice arrives! Before you'd met Yen Sid you'd never imagined that there would be another Keyblade user running around but now there are two…actually there are more if what you're remember Yen Sid's mentioning of other 'Masters' right….and that means more friends! More friends is always better and if the other masters are anything like Yen Sid you're sure they'll be kind and wise.

Hopping over to your washroom look in the mirror and finish getting yourself ready for the day.

What do you look like?
[x] Write in.
[x] Put the burden on the GM.

Sure you're still young but one day you're confident that you'll grow into a beautiful women.

Oh look there's a fly flying around the room! Goodbye fly you have somewhere else to be!

The stairways of Yen Sid's Tower are long and go on for quite a ways, they also look dangerous unsafe to anyone just walking by as they lack any sort of visible railing but you know well enough that these stairs an enchanted to prevent accidents. You could get into a fight of life or death on these things and you'd still be at absolutely no risk of falling and dying.

As you look around you still can't help but find yourself surprised at the sheer size of the tower. In your hold home the biggest building you've ever seen was a small cottage, barley enough to hold a full family of four…but this tower. It's so big you could probably fit your old home on the stairways and still have enough room to walk comfortably around it….it's embarrassing the day but you never actually look straight upwards whenever you're going up the stairs because the sheer high of the building is so mindboggling to you. This really is the kind of home you'd expect a magic wizard to live it.

"Offf!" Before you can think on the topic more someone slams into you and then falls down. They must not have been very big because you barley felt it.

You turn around to look at the person that had run into you…and they don't look like anything you've seen before. The best way to describe them would be some kind of mouse, except notably less covered in matted hair, bigger, humanoid in shape, and with big black circles for ears, it's definitely not something you'd have seen in your home world. Honestly if you'd ever seen such a creature you'd have expected it to look kind of creepy or outright disturbing but this guy…assuming it is a he….actually looks downright adorable.

Still you have to admit…you don't know what to do!

Talking with people isn't your strong suit!

What do you do?
[x] You want to make friends….but you cannot into social activity! Run away!
[x] "….Are you an apprentice of Master Yen Sid too?"
[x] Help him up, the little guy was clearly in a hurry.
[x] Remain silent…that should work right?

Help Him
[x] Help him

You walk over to the mouse and extend your hand. The poor guy seems like he's in a hurry it'd be mean of you to just let him lye there on the ground when he could be running late.

"Thanks for the help." The Mouse says gratefully as you help him up. "I was really running late."

"I guess that means you hear to see the master then." You smile at him and give a short bow. "I'm Scena Salus one of his apprentices, let me escort you up to meet him."

"Oh!" The Mouse seems to come to a realization. "If your master Yen Sides apprentice than I guess tat means we'll be classmates from now on!" He extends his hand which you happily accept. "I'm Mickey Mouse it's nice to meet you!"

"Really? Hmmm….you look Mickey over. "I've never seen a mouse like you before."

"Well I've never seen a fairy before." He replies. "Soooo…should we call it even?"

"Sure." You shrug. "Let's call it even, I mean in all honestly I didn't even know my kind where even called Fairy's until recently, I was the only one around we didn't have any myths of the type so I just thought I was…unusual to say the least."

"Oh." Mickey looks to the side. "Sorry I didn't mean to bring that up."

"Don't worry I was the one who brought it up." You waving it off before taking a look at the clock. "And oh my goodness we're going to be late! Run mickey! Run before the master scolds us!"

"Wait what?" Mickey takes some time to gather his thoughts as he rushes up the stairs behind you. "Wait for me!"

Soon enough the two of you make it up to the top floor of the tower and open the door to Yen Sid's office. It's a pretty simple location all things considered well at least simple compared to what you'd expect a wizard to live in. The most complex thing in the room is his desk, and even that only has a few papers on it.

Yen Sid himself is a tern looking man in a rather…stereotypical wizard outfit, not that it's a bad thing but the man clearly knows what he is and has not shame over making the fact known. He also has a really long and very grey beard that shows that not only is he a wizard but that he's an old wizard and everyone knows that those are the most dangerous kind. He's also got crazy looking eyes, very crazy looking eyes, you'd honestly be scared of them were it not for all he's done for you…you do wonder if he should get see a doctor about those things on more than one occasion.

"Ah Scena, Mickey it is good to know that the two of you made it on time." He glances between the two of you. "And if my intuition is right that you've already been introduced to each other too."

You look at Mickey and then back to your master. "Yeah I'd say we have right Mickey."

The long winding stairs made sure of that.

"Right Scena." Mickey nods in agreement. "We're ready for whatever you have to teach us Master Yen Side!"

Mostly because we trust him not to throw us to the sharks, you have no illusion on being able to learn all the advanced stuff right away or anything like that.

"Very well." Master Yen Sid begins with a wave of his hand, which in causes a large chest to appear. "Within this chest you will find an item that will prove to be of great assistance during your training, once you have taken yours we will begin you're next steps on the path to mastering the Keyblade."

What do you find?
[x] A musical Sheet, you have a feeling that the song on it will make you stronger when played.
[x] A musical Sheet, you have a feeling that the song on it will weaken your enemy's spells when played.
[x] A musical Sheet, you have a feeling that the song on it will transport you when played.
[x] A musical Sheet, you have a feeling that the song on it will directly attack your enemies when played.

OOC: All of these musical sheets will become available to you in time, consider this a choice of what you'll have to start with for your first trial, and you'll have the options to develop each song as far as you want, even the ones you get later so long as you put the time in.

Song of Transportation
[x] Song of Transportation

You take a look at the musical sheet that you've gained from the treasure chest. It's called the "Song of Transportation", which between the title and your fairy instincts tells you that this song will let you teleport short distances when played. Since their seems to be missing sections, this short range teleportation is likely only the start of what you can do if you really put your focus into it.

Gained - Song of Transportation! A Spell that lets you teleport for short distances after all small buildup. You sense that this spell has a great deal of room for improvement.

After reading over the song, you look toward Mickey and Yen Sid, the former having already acquired his own item from his chest and the latter working on some sort of strange magic which purpose is unclear.

"I have to admit," you say, rubbing your head as you put the song away. "Even though you said the item within would helpful, I wasn't expecting something quite as…appealing to my nature as that. It's almost as if it was drawn straight from my heart."

"That's because the mystic chest always tailors the item it produces to its user." Yen Sid explains, keeping his stoic expression and calm tone of voice. "It draws from the deepest recesses of one's heart in order to do so, and as a result everything that comes from it is unique in its own way. Some hold great power, some entirely mundane, but everything goes on to have great value.."

With another wave of his hand, Yen Sid causes the treasure chest to vanish in a beam of magical light, replacing it with a strange and rather ornate door. 'Man he really does know how to do the coolest things, doesn't he?'.

"The Door before you will transport the two of you to separate rooms that will constitute the first of many trials." Yen Sid explains. "Though this will be by far the easiest and you will be in no true danger in the room within, I do advise you to take the matter seriously. More than one path to victory exists and the following trails will not be as easy."

So this is the 'starter' so to speak? Well you can't argue with that, after all you don't know how to do all that much with the Keyblade yet.

"Well Mickey," You turn to your newly met friend. "Are you ready for your first trial?"

"I'm as ready as I'll ever be!" Mickey replies, a look of focus spreading across his face."I won't fail and leave my world vulnerable to darkness!"

You wish you could say the same thing, but the world you'd been raised in was pretty much always vulnerable to the darkness. Only the particularly hardy nature of the world's inhabitants kept the world's keyhole from being overrun and the world itself from fading away.

"Well, no point in waiting." You begin, steeling your focus and stepping towards the door. "Let's get started."

Then you open the door and the entire world goes white.

XXXX

You wake up to find yourself in a circular, library-like room.. All around you rows upon rows of books decorate the walls up until they hit the second floor, and at which point you have to look to second floor, at which point you have to look to second floor's much wider wall in order to see that the pattern repeat itself up until the fifth floor. This gives the entire place an inverted cake-like appearance, expect with books instead of actual cake matter.

The central floor itself is mostly empty, sans a giant golden door with a bronze lock on it. It seems that it will require a specific type of Key to open.

Standing in front of the door is a platoon of brooms, each with their arms crossed and a foam bat sheathed by their sides. These must be the 'enemies' for this little practice trial, and it looks like these basic ones aren't the only brooms wondering around. On the upper floor you can see both larger brooms as well as two or three that are wielding golden-colored bats instead of the normal ones. You have a feeling that those ones must be of a higher 'rank', whatever that means so far as the trial is concerned. The larger brooms just look stronger and tougher than the others,so they at least seem pretty simple to deal with. The other five floors probably have more brooms on them, though you aren't sure if you'll find anything worth looking at.

You walk forward in an attempt to examine the door, but the brooms interpose themselves between you and it.

Well…that's annoying, even if it isn't all that surprising.

What do you do?
[x] You'll obviously have to fight the brooms at some point….Charge!
[x] The only way out is locked, looks like you'll have to go and find a a key somewhere
[x] Uuuuuug….big enemies usually have something valuable, you could fight one of the big brooms on the upper floors to see if it does anything.
[x] Write in.

OOC: Thanks to Demojay for the corrections, the help was really appreciated.

Trial Secrets
Something to keep in mind during these trials is that how we choose to complete them is almost as important as completing them is. Considering how early in the quest this is, our choices might have a large impact into how our character will grow.
I'll also occasionally add something that you can do on side during a trial that's unrelated to actually completing it but can be of benefit if you can figure it out...those it's usually only in the less time pressing trials such as this first one.

Asking
[x] Asking

"Hey." You ask to the closest broom. "Can you guys let me pass?"

A broom steps forward and shakes it's head indicating that no, you cannot pass.

"Is there a way to get permission so you'll let me pass?" You'd rather avoid a fight if you can, Yen Sid never said that this trial needed to end in violence after all.

The broom that stepped forwards earlier points to one of the officers on the upper floor.

"Ok thanks!" You say as you wave goodbye to the brooms. "Good luck guarding that door!"

The broom waves goodbye right back as one of its peers behind you gives you a thumbs up.

You have to admit, these brooms are surprisingly polite for a group of mundane objects animated by magic.

The next floor up is more of a labyrinth of book shelves than anything else. You have an easy enough time getting through it, but you guess that this wasn't some sort of puzzle challenge. Yen Sid could have easily made it one if all his bookshelves looked like this. You do make sure to avoid the larger brooms however, as you don't want to risk a fight. Luckily, it's fairly easy to do so since you can see them above the majority of the bookshelves, not giving you all that much trouble.

Eventually, you come across one of the 'Officer' brooms that you saw from the bottom floor earlier.

"Um, excuse me." You begin somewhat nervously. "I need to get through the door on the bottom floor. Would you mind getting the other brooms to let me pass?"

The broom looks at you for a moment and then bobs its head up and down in affirmation. It then proceeds to take out a keychain with approximately six keys on it and gestures for you to follow it. Not much happens on the second floor after that. The broom does stop for a moment to grab a multi-color book from the wall, but after that is done it quickly gets moving again.

Back on the bottom floor, you find that nothing has really changed. 'Well,' you suppose. 'I guess that's only natural for a trial room after all.'

The Officer broom walks up to its assembled brethren and waves its hand, causing the assembled force to split down the middle.

It then walks down the center of the parted Broom formation, waving for you to follow it as it does so. 'Man these brooms really are polite.'

Slowly but surely, the Broom works down its chainof keys before eventually settling on one and putting it into the lock.

And then, everything goes white.

When you open your eyes, you find that you are once again within Yen Sids office.

"Very good, Scena." Yen Sid congratulates you after giving you some time to gather you bearings. "It's been a while since anyone took the…diplomatic route within the confines of the trial you'd been given."

Moments later Mickey appears right next to you…. looking a little downtrodden.

"Wow." You comment as you blink. "Now that's timing if I've ever seen it."

"Mickey." Yen Sid's voice is stern…but not strictly disapproving if you're reading it right. "You may not have succeeded in the trial you had been given, but I cannot count the years it's been since the door burdened someone with that trial on their first journey through it. Rest assured that you did an admirable job."

"Gee, thanks Master Yen Sid," Mickey rubs the back of his head as his voice lifts a little. "That really means a lot."

"The two of you have both shown admirable qualities in your trials." Yen Sid looks to you. "Scena, you took the route of diplomacy and avoided any unnecessary conflict." He then turns to Mickey. ""Mickey, you've shown yourself resolute in your defense of innocents, even in the face of unwinnable odds. I want the two of you to reflect on your trials as well as the meanings of the items you've gained from the Chest for the rest of the day. Your first day of dedicated combat training will begin tomorrow."

Both of you bow to Yen Sid in respect before leaving the Office.

Yay! A whole day off!

What do you do with it?
[x] Go down to the Library - you want to try see if it has any spellbooks that could help you.
[x] Go down to the Library - you want to try see if you could find anything about…fairies.
[x] Go the yard outside of the tower - it's time to get some practice in with your Keyblade.
[x] Go talk with Mickey. He's your fellow student, you'd like to get to know him better.
[x[ Go examine your sheet. You want to see if you can improve on it in any way.

OOC: One again thanks to my beta he's a huge help. Also fun fact if you'd stopped and read some of the books you'd have he potential to learn three spells some of which may have been more advanced then the starting trinity. You still did great of course, but take it as an example of the bonuses I was talking abou earlier.

Talking with Mickey
[x] Talking with Mickey

"Hey Mickey!" You call out to your fellow apprentice, "Do you want to hang out? We've got the time to."

"Sure!" Mickey replies happily. It's nice you that your fellow apprentice is so friendly, since you really don't like being alone. "What do you have in mind?"

"Just hanging around on the grass outside the tower." You smile and then take a quick glance around the tower, further solidifying the enormity of the entire building within your mind. "This place is big, but I've only started living here recently so I don't know what we can even do around here."

"I'd be fine with that." Mickey answers, his voice just as high pitched as it's been the entire time you've known him. "My body's still kind of sore after that last trial anyway."

Well, he was stuck with a trial 'too intense for a first timer', so you can't really blame him for that.

XXXXX

The Mysterious Tower is a strange world, even when something isn't within the tower itself. The first reason that opinion is that changes location often so in many cases it can be found either directly hovering in the void between worlds or in some cases attached to another world, ironically becoming much harder to reach in the latter cases as one can only access it using a specific method within the world that it's become attached too.

However, among the many worlds it stands out for one other reason - the place is basically surrounded by trees and other planet life, but the Sun is never actually out. No one but Yen Sid himself seems to know how those plants manage to keep themselves alive, though you think it has something to do with magic or the planet's ambient light. Actually, that one could be plausible as far as explanations go, since despite there being no Sun out to illuminate the land, the entire place seems to well-lit and easy to navigate.

"This world really is beautiful." You comment to Mickey as you sit down and look up the stars. "I mean I don't want to wax poetic but there's just something so wonderful about sitting down and looking up at the night sky, letting all of your worldly worries melt away as you contemplate the great cosmos above."

"Yeah it is." Mickey adds as he walks up next to you and sits down as well. "Back on my world, I used to sit down and watch the stars with Minnie all the time. It's time like this that make me miss her, but I like them all the same…. Hey Scena…, do you have anyone back on your home world waiting for you?"

"No." You say as you wrap your arms around your legs and pull them closer to yourself. "I mean, the people of my world are far from mean or cruel… it's just that we took a long time to bond with one another. Midnight Town is so close to the Realm of Darkness that people need to be protected most of the time, or they run the risk of being ambushed or betrayed. It's not that no one wanted to meet other people and get to know them, they just couldn't under the circumstances."

"Oh." Mickey says, looking down in shame. He shouldn't beat himself over this, he couldn't have known that your old home was the equivalent of a slum amongst the many worlds. "I'm sorry… I didn't mean to bring up bad memories like that."

"Don't worry about it." You say, coaxing your arms from around your legs and letting them fall to the side. "I've gotten used to it."

An awkward silence falls between the two of you.

What do you say?
[x] "… do you have any favorite songs?"
[x] "So this Minnie person… do you like them?"
[x] "I've been wondering… how did you meet Master Yen Sid?"
[x] "Mickey… is your world nice?"

OOC: Once again thanks to my Beta reader, it really is a help.

First Meetings
[x] First Meetings

"I've been wondering," You begin as you lean back into the grass, which actually feels pretty nice. "How did you first meet Master Yen Sid?"

"Well," Mickey begins as he leans back into the grass as well. "My home world was once under attack from a powerful Seeker of Darkness and a Monster known as the Phantom Blot. I did the best I could to try and stop them, and with the power of some paint I found I managed to fend off the Blot, but I was helpless against the Seeker of Darkness. If Yen Sid hadn't been tracking down that very same Seeker of Darkness I'd probably be gone right now. After Master Yen Sid managed to beat the both of them back I asked him if he could show me how to defend my home, and to my surprise he said yes. I've been training under him since, though today was my first 'official' day of training."

"Wow." You say, rapidly blinking. That was definitely a very abridged version of what happened, but you can already tell that there's a significant amount of history behind what happened. 'Darn, it was probably really cool too'. "That's pretty neat."

"What about you, Scena?" Mickey asks, turning your question back on you. "How did you meet Master Yen Sid?"

XXXXX

You cast a worried glance behind you as you desperately run through the old wooded trail of Midnight Town. The trees are dead and thorny, much like they always have been and probably will always be, but your trek through them this night is far more terrifying than the average fare. The moon above your home provides the vast majority of the natural light that anyone from this town will ever see, and even though the stars shine brightly, their intensity is far from what is needed.

Midnight Town as a whole is a dark and depressing place. The vast majority of structures are made up of cold stone, and a wide variety of menacing statues (like that of the mighty Goliath) dot the area. Local legend says that they would defend the city from the forces of Darkness, though you rarely stay in one part of the town long enough to see if that is true. Either way, the shadows in Midnight Town are plenty, and the population is perpetually rebuilding or fighting.

Still, life isn't all bad. The people who reside here are kind, and the wide variety of music that plays both during battle to rouse the spirits of the town's defenders and to celebrate the rare moments of peace is wonderful, almost magical in nature. It is this spirit that you've always admired about your home, and though the Dark Ones constantly search for hearts, you know that the heart of this world will never be an easy target - though you'd be lying if you said that you never feared that one day the Dark Ones would finally drag it fully down into the Realm of Darkness.

The Dark Ones…. If it wasn't for them, this world would be an outright wonderful place to reside. It's because of them that you to constantly move between the various areas of this city, since for some reason, your continued presence in one area just draws more and more of them. Your presence even draws more powerful variants that don't seem to show up in this world otherwise. You think it might have something to do with the vaguely key shaped, almost constantly form-shifting weapon that you can summon into battle, though you don't have any solid proof for that theory quite yet.

Either way, you've spent the majority of your life basically on the run from those things, never truly able to rest due to the shadowed nature of your home.

Which leads you to your current predicament, running for your life from a giant Dark One through the woods.

"Crap!" A low hanging branch smashes into your shin, sending you tumbling forward.

The Dark One's steps are close now.

You look up to see it towering over you.

Very close.

As it raises its arm, gathering power into its fist, you raise your key-shaped weapon in response. 'This is going to hurt'.

And then a massive beams of light slams into it, disintegrating the Dark One almost entirely.

What?

You turn to look for the source of the blast, finding an old man in wizard clothing…with terrifying eyes!

"Don't be afraid... young Fairy?" The wizard does his best to reassure you. "I have heard about the weapon you wield, and if you would allow me, I would like to teach you how to wield it properly."

"This thing?" You say, eyeing the object in your hand. "But…what is it?"

"That," the wizard begins, walking over and offering you his hand, "is a Keyblade. A powerful weapon that can banish the darkness, or draw it to the user if not handled properly."

"It can banish the darkness..." A small amount of hope enters your voice as you take his hand. "Does that mean…that I can stop the monsters from attacking Midnight Town?"

"That, I cannot say for certain. Your world is steeped in the Darkness to a degree I have not seen in an unconsumed world." The wizard closes his eyes. "But, I can show you how to stop it from being consumed entirely."

"Then." You begin as you steel your resolve. "I want you to teach me, I want to be able to keep Midnight Town safe, in any way that I can."

"A story really close to yours, really." You say, leaning back. "My world was under attack from Darkness and he helped me out."

Mickey, clearly realizing that there is more to it, chooses not to pry and also leans back on the grass.

You appreciate that.

Unlike the trial grounds, which were a pocket dimension within the tower itself, the training grounds are an empty space just outside of the tower's backside. To be honest, you didn't even know beforehand that Yen Sid even had a backyard.

'I guess you really do learn something new every day.' You think to yourself as you stretch your arms out. You have to admit, you're kind of excited to start some more physical training. Sure, the academic stuff is nice, but you just can't stand being cramped up indoors for long periods of time. Your wings and your limbs just start to cramp up after a long time, and you prefer the night sky out here anyway. It's a shame Yen Sid doesn't train you outside more often than he does.

The training area itself is constructed fairly nicely, nothing overly complicated (especially by the standards of a powerful wizard like Yen Sid), but it definitely looks more than sufficient to train a new Keyblade user like yourself.

However, the most notable thing about the training ground is a makeshift, or as makeshift as it gets around this place, arena with a smaller obstacle course and a wide variety of brooms running around inside it. At first glance, the only difference between the brooms seems to be the headbands that are around each of them, but a closer looks reveals that each type seems to have different behaviours and abilities depending on the headband. The first type, Grey colored headbands with a red line running through the middle, don't seem to have any notable traits about them beyond being the most common broom. Another group has Red headbands with blue lines, which seem to be much faster than the others and will occasionally light themselves on fire. Yet another broom type has green bands and yellow lines. These ones seem to be capable of creating small wind shields similar to your own Aero spell to protect themselves. The brooms with Blue headbands seem to be capable of creating ice below themselves and for the most part seem content with just skating along the ground. Another variety with pink headbands seem to be infused with teleportation magic of some kind, making them almost certainly the more painful and annoying type to go after should you choose to do so. The two final of the 'common' types are an Orange headband, which doesn't seem to do anything unusual, at least not when one is currently chasing it, and a Yellow headband with brown lines, which seem to periodically electrocute themselves.

Finally there are exactly two Brooms with Golden headbands on them, you don't know what the deal with them is but your almost certainly that they'll have 'some' sort of unusual trick about them assuming that the rarity of the Brooms is anything to go by.

Which type of Broom do you focus on during the exercise?
[x] Grey
[x] Red
[x] Green
[x] Blue
[x] Pink
[x] Orange
[x] Yellow
[x] Gold

In addition to the dealing with the brooms, you also do more conventional training on some close-range targets. It isn't really all that notable beyond the freedom you have to experiment, but its fun and enjoyable all the same so you don't really have much to complain about.

Choose 1
[x] Mana Saver 1: You have become more efficient with your spells, giving you the ability to cast more before you get tired.
[x] Rapid Shot 1: When shooting a magical projectile that requires no charge time, you automatically fire off a second attack for free.
[x] Spell Endurance 1: Your spells that last for a set period of time, such as Aero, now last slightly longer before dissipating.
[x] Ricochet 1: When you cast Note to make an attack, the Musical Note will bounce a second time before disappearing if it misses.

OOC: One again thanks to my beta for all the help.

Going for Gold
[x] Going for Gold

You immediately set your sights on one of the Gold Brooms. They may end up being the hardest to catch overall… but you aren't going to improve in the slightest if you don't even try to push your limits and step out of your comfort zone!

Ok then… here it goes!

"Raaaaaaaaaagh!" You scream as you fire a Note spell at the broom. "Die, stupid Broom thing!"

Sadly, the Broom imitates one of its Pink headband-wearing brethren and teleports out of the way.

"Stupid Broom." You cross your arms and scan the area. "Now, where did you run off to?"

The Golden Broom then teleports behind you and taps you on the shoulder, sending a small but ultimately harmless shock through your body.

"Aaaaaagh!" You leap forward as a result of getting shocked before turning around to face the cheeky Broom in question. "I'm going to get you for that."

The Broom blows a raspberry at you, or it would do if it had any sort of mouth. In reality, it just makes the motion of blowing one, which has the same message anyway.
"Grrrr." You growl at the Broom before firing another Note at it, though sadly the broom once again manages to teleport out of the way. "Stupid teleportation!"

Honestly, you're really starting to dislike that ability right about now.

Thankfully, next time you're more than prepared for the Brooms sudden appearance behind you, and before it can do much else you cast Note again, this time at point blank range. Naturally, as the Broom had not been expecting you to catch onto its stunt so quickly, the Note hits and the infernal piece of animated cleaning equipment is sent flying back.

Upon touching the ground however, the broom wastes no time in righting itself before casting a protective Areo spell, giving it a barrier that for the most part would give it resistance to most of your attacks, except one.

"Thunder!" You call out as a lightning bolt slams into the Broom, knocking it out of it's protective shield and letting you destroy it with one final cast of the Note spell. "Yes!"

You did it! Oh, this encounter has given you so many song ideas!

What do you choose?
[x] Song of Transportation - Duration: Changes the Song of Transportation into a steady song that allows you to teleport short distances at will for 30 seconds, letting you cast other spells while it is active.
[x] Song of Transportation - Range: Upgrades the Max range of the Song of Transportation, allowing you to cover much greater distances with it.
[x] Song of Transportation - Time: Shortens the time it takes you to cast the Song of Transportation, making it somewhat viable for use in combat.
[x] Song of Storms: A continuous song that lasts for 10 minutes and lets you call down a single lightning bolt once every 10 seconds at will without spending mana. As with all Songs, you can cast other spells at will while it is active.

XXXx

You learn that tomorrow both Yen Sid and Mickey will be away: Yen Sid to visit a fellow master and Mickey for training on another world. It makes you kind of sad, but you do have the option of going with either of them, staying behind at the tower and continuing your studies, or even doing some more writing for your magical songs! Besides, it's not like you're being left without any sort of choice in all of this - though you'd be lying if you said that this wasn't a hard choice.

What do you do?
[x] Travel with Yen Sid.
[x] Travel with Mickey.
[x] Stay at the tower and focus on studying.
[x] Stay at the tower and focus on song writing.
