What, already? And here I thought we'd have to work hard for it.
She's just telling harmless lies that are mostly transparent for the ones that know her. Big softie is what she is!
That might indeed need some fixing.
"Wait, huh?" The merc frowns in confusion and rummages in her outfit's bikini top. She pulls out a piece of paper, unfolds it, reads it, then turns it around. "Oh hey, my target's name was Abigail!" Any trace of berserk rage is gone, replaced with cheerful, childish idiocy.
Oh, hei Kei's long-lost sister. Another Baka Brute, only with all of the destruction more tightly packed. ♡
I hope the megucaverse is vast enough to have a full-on Baka Team somewhere! There must be!
The merc frowns, deep in thought, before smiling brightly and pointing to Rena. "Kay! I just needed to kill that one. Nakano...Nakanaka...Nanaka said that one was super important to kill and not to belive anything they said about being a Maj I knew."
Nakano... I suppose K-On! the Elite AKM Team would make for a terrifying rival indeed.
I like Felicia more with every new word that comes out of her mouth. The girl must be very easy to work with.
[Who's Mito-senpai's contact?]
[ ] Emiri Kisaki, leader of the Troubleshooting Office and the best diplomat in Kamihama.
[ ] Nanaka Tokiwa, leader of the Tokiwa-gumi and the best strategist in Kamihama.
[ ] Rena Minami, second in command of the Gojitsu-gumi and the best spy in Kamihama.
[ ] Yachiyo Nanami, leader of Nanami House and the baddest Magical Girl in Kamihama.
[ ] Mitama Yakumo, the Adjuster and the most important Magical Girl in Kamihama.
...did you mean that none of them were exclusive? What I am seeing is that all of those we've heard of so far are on good terms with one another, and so could potentially be contacted by us whereas I initially thought being affiliated with one of them would close our doors with the others.
Wasn't the city supposed to be one big free-for-all? If every major crew is allied, then who's fighting?
And I realize we may want a primer on Tokiwa house and their relationship with the other crews. Crossing the best strategist and more importantly, hearing something that was not intended to be heard (with a witness no less) would probably cause us some grief, both literal and metaphorical.
One thing is gnawing at me... where does the 'Partial' from 'Partial Success' come from? Did the shoe drop already, or is it just suspended somewhere?
Tier 0? What's that? Is it good or bad?
Why are Rep/Heat scales different? Is it a bar that needs to be filled to have a level up in Notoriety? Rep for our Tier stat, and Heat for our Wanted level? Also, Wanted by whom? Is there an RG6 division, or is there someone else keeping the peace?
Awww. We did bail your ass out, you know! Do remember that too, you bloody ingrate!
What is she even pissed at about? Didn't like us bossing her around or something? I am just not sure why she was opposed to the plan to begin with; it worked out fine.
We should start a black note to put some names in. For reasons.

I like Felicia more with every new word that comes out of her mouth. The girl must be very easy to work with.
Sayaka's around here somewhere, the leader of the Gojitsu-gumi is a gorilla (which is why Rena's the useful contact) and Kazumi's an unlock character, so you could pull off the Baka Sentai.
And Felicia's easy to work with in that she's easily pointed at things, yeah. She used to be a real pain in the ass before Nanami House took her in, always working solo, going apeshit and shaking girls down during Witch hunts. It was actually Nakana who started her on the path of cooperation.
Nakano... I suppose K-On! the Elite AKM Team would make for a terrifying rival indeed.
Alright, so when you offered us a choice of contacts...
...did you mean that none of them were exclusive? What I am seeing is that all of those we've heard of so far are on good terms with one another, and so could potentially be contacted by us whereas I initially thought being affiliated with one of them would close our doors with the others.
Wasn't the city supposed to be one big free-for-all? If every major crew is allied, then who's fighting?
Aki has one big contact to start, in downtime Kei and Yuri can work to make their own contacts, with blackjack and hookers. This can be separate from who Aki knows, which would be useful if you ever decided to betray her or piss off her contact (like now, for instance).
All the main crews squabble over territory and materiel, but they all are on unfriendly terms with Magius. The thing to note here is that each group is trying to get one over on every other group, and relationships are fragile. It hasn't devolved into all out war just yet, but Magius is working towards that in the background.
And I realize we may want a primer on Tokiwa house and their relationship with the other crews. Crossing the best strategist and more importantly, hearing something that was not intended to be heard (with a witness no less) would probably cause us some grief, both literal and metaphorical.
Nanaka is very paranoid and has a penchant for complex designs. This gets her into a lot of trouble sometimes. Luckily she has Meiyui Chun and Akira Shinobu, the Fuujin amd Raijin of Kamihama, as her left and right hands. She also has Kako Natsume, a very powerful IQ Fighter, doing due diligence. Tokiwa-gumi tends to keep to itself, only really being cool with the Troubleshooting Office.
Everyone is cool with the Troubleshooting Office. Emiri wills it.
Nanami House and Gojitsu-gumi have a strained relationship, but both work together to control a territory that Nanaka wants. It's prime Witch hunting territory and not everyone has the Goddess's succor. There's also a rumor of a Mirror Witch that creates shades of other Magical Girls on that territory; the Magius cult branch that Rena went undercover for knows where it is. So does Nanaka. She doesn't want Gojitsu-gumi or Nanami House to know the location because Tokiwa is on bad terms with both and if they knew about the Mirror Witch, they'd go to clean it out instead.
One thing is gnawing at me... where does the 'Partial' from 'Partial Success' come from? Did the shoe drop already, or is it just suspended somewhere?
It's a Powered by the Apocalypse-ism for "good thing and bad thing happens." The shoe dropping is Rena being pissy and not wanting to talk to you. Yuri's going to have a hard time building a bridge there and Aki'll have to smooth things out with Gojitsu-gumi.
Tier 0 is the lowest Tier you can be. Rankings go from 0 to VI: to use Honor or Humanity as an example, Pinky Violence at the start would be Tier 0, AKM-108 as a whole would be Tier VI. It determines how many people you can bring to bear as a gang, the quality of stuff you can easily get, and your general gang level.
Rep and Heat are scaled differently because that's how the game does it there's a turf collecting mini game that makes Rep advancement easier. Rep fills to bump up your Tier, Heat fills to increase the level of fuckery that gets thrown your way. Higher Wanted Level means bolder enemies, stiffer punishments and heavier police responses
Speaking of, Kamihama PD has the Kamihama Mobile Disaster Response Corps 2nd Division, notable for its face being a former non-AKM affiliated idol. Real popular too. Shame about what happened to her old partner, she was three days from graduation.
Awww. We did bail your ass out, you know! Do remember that too, you bloody ingrate!
What is she even pissed at about? Didn't like us bossing her around or something?
That's pretty much it; you're a nobody and you're bossing the second in command of the Gojitsu-gumi around. She doesn't take that kind of big dicking very well. Honestly, she has an attitude problem, but Aki has enough rep and enough of a lack of give-a-fuck to keep Rena on a short leash.
We should start a black note to put some names in. For reasons.
What does stocking up on gear get us?
That black note book, for one.
But seriously, it would give you tools to take for missions, like guns and explosives, First Aid kits, lockpicking tools and extra Grief Seeds. So you have a nebulous pile of useful shit that can improve rolls and bail your ass out as needed. The random stuff Yuri pulls out of her leather jacket is gear. Quality gear can give you increased effect for the things you do.
For example, Yuri's kind of a crap shot, but her Devil-branded pistol (quality gear) gives her limited auto-aim, essentially making her Hunt and Scrap rolls with that pistol better. If you bought bulletproof armor you'd have defense against getting shot in the vitals or the Soul Gem, which Cheech can attest is the best way to take out a pesky Maj.
I see. I read 'Nanaka hired a merc to take out an allied crew's right hand' and took it to mean it was Tokiwa-gumi who were nominally allied with Gojitsu-gumi, which would indeed be pretty baffling, but really they only put one of their rivals against the other. It's strange that Nanami House don't have a system in place to vet the jobs their mercs take, because it wouldn't fly with anyone but Felicia. What next, taking assignments from the Magius?
Not sure I caught what's so important about the Mirror Witch. Is her presence the only factor that is deterring the rival crews from making inroads into the territory Tokiwa-gumi want? Or why would Nanaka try and keep her exact location a secret?
E: But seriously, Felicia does stuff behind Nanami House's back because she wants to pretend she's still a badass lone wolf. And the only person who can step on Rena's face is Gojitsu-gumi's leader.
The Mirror Witch is important because she's a potential production facility for soldiers of any stripe. Imagine being able to make and control copies of any Maj in Kamihama, or any Maj of note outside of Kamihama. Imagine an army of expendable Sayakas or Felicias or Sayacchis.
That's why Nanaka doesn't want anyone to know about the Mirror Witch's location.
Going back to back on Quests in nominally the same world but with different characters, plotlines and tones makes my brain hurt, so Kamihama Deathmatch will now be on Saturdays, with Honor or Humanity staying on Thursdays. We apologize for the inconvenience.
E: Here's the vote lock for tomorrow: Yuri has a tie, but the downtime system can handle that.

You supported Kei as much as you could on the walk back to Curry du Marche, but she was too heavy and her leg was too mangled to go very far. Even with your hastily made splint, extensive bandaging and plushie support, all Kei could do was hobble, dragging her ruined leg on the ground. After a few minutes of futility, you pull into an alley next to a clothing store and make her a seat out of trash bags, making sure her leg is elevated.
"You don't need to do this, Yuririn. I can walk back to Curry du Marche." Kei gives you a brave grin with a pale face.
"Shut up," you spit. "Your leg's hamburger. Lame dogs get put down."
"That's horses, dude." She's sweating pretty bad. You hope an infection hasn't set in.
"They put pets to sleep too, idiot." You hide your misty eyes with your hair. Your plushies adjust the torniquet you made for Kei, pulling it tight enough to make her wince.
"If I'm supposed to be your pet, could I have some water then?"
There's a convenience store on the other side of the alley, a Larson's. It's hot, so they've got the windows open. You can hear the hum of refrigerators from here. With a nod of your head, your JK werewolf hops off Kei's leg and crawls into the convenience store window.
A minute or so later, it hands you a bottle of water bigger than it is.
You toss it at Kei. "Think fast."
Kei snatches it, twists open the top and downs it in one go. She sighs with relief.
The JK werewolf hands her another.
Kei downs half of it just as fast, then pours the rest on her head and face. "Pwaaaah!" She pants like a dog, tongue out and all. "Fighting makes you really thirsty, dude."
You snicker. "You get mauled, your leg's hanging on by a thread, and you're thinking about how thirsty you are?"
"It won't do to dwell on bad stuff, dude." She slumps against the alley wall, looks up and reaches for the sky. "The only thing I can do is be ready for next time."
You call Elsie, ignoring Kei's moment of introspection. "We need a pickup. Kei got her leg messed up. Yes, yes, I don't know how she remembers to breathe sometimes."
"Yuririn!" Kei whines.
You give her a bemused look. "Yeah. Yeah. By the Larson's. Next to," you look at the clothing store's storefront, "the UNIQRO."
The streets are surprisingly quiet for this time of day; you haven't seen a lot of Mugs walking around in Kamihama. Or people in general. A girl with brown twintails and no helmet flies past you on her mommy bike, a layered delivery box teetering dangerously in a rickety back basket.
You watch her go, the smell of mediocre Chinese food stuck in your nose, as you finish up the call with Elsie.
You snicker again and sit beside Kei. "You have terrible taste."
☆☆☆
You have to take the back door into Curry du Marche. The place had customers, so bringing in a near cripple would "upset the guests appetites," as Elsie put it.
The moment Mito-senpai sees you and Kei's leg, she grabs her bat and points it at you, then Kei's leg. "Fuck happened here?"
"Idiot bit off more than she could chew." You slump into the big ratty couch in back, making sure Kei has room enough to put her leg up beside you. "You didn't say shit about our merc being the Raging Bull, senpai."
"Who the fuck else would it be, numbnuts?" Mito-senpai pulls her cigarette down to the filter in one go and exhales out the corners of her mouth. The smoke and her fury makes her look even more demonic than usual. "Tell me Ohka's leg is the only thing fucked up here."
"We pulled the mission off. No thanks to your contact." You give Mito-senpai a practiced sneer. "Apparently the merc was hired by Nanaka Tokiwa and specifically told to ignore any Magius girl claiming to be Rena."
The nicotine's calmed Mito-senpai down, she doesn't have her bat in your face anymore. "Huh. Maybe Nanaka wanted to take that bitch down a peg. Or she's trying to drive a wedge between Gojitsu and Nanami. Momoko and Yachiyo can't stand each other; if it weren't for Eroha and Rena, the two crews would be at each others throats."
You make a mental note of what she's saying, and also a note to buy a black notebook.
She rests her chin on her bat's handle. "But why fuck up that alliance? Tokiwa-gumi's got their hands full with the Azalea Projects; nobody wants that turf because of the Azalea Projects."
You scratch your head. "Maybe she wants Magius focused on Nanami House? Give her one less thing to worry about?"
Mito-senpai saunters over to Kei, prods her leg with the baseball bat. "Nanaka doesn't see Magius as a threat like we do."
Kei doesn't yell, but she does grunt in pain. "Do you really have to use the bat, dude?"
"Barely touchin' ya," Mito-senpai says. "Man, she fucked you up good." There's a dirty white glow from her bat, you hear the sound of a record being rewound as she passes the bat over Kei's injured leg. You see the mangled piece of meat regain shape and form, bandages soaking blood in reverse before fading to nothing.
Kei's face is still pale, but you see relief wash over it. She must have been hiding a lot of pain.
[Kei Moderate Harm becomes Minor Harm: Not Quite Right.]
"There's an infection," Mito-senpai cracks her neck. "Go get her some antibiotics. Feitorade, too."
"Get Elsie to do it," you whine. You feel you've done enough today.
Mito-senpai points her bat at you, no longer glowing. "Do it or I make the two of you fuckers match."

As you head to the nearest drugstore, you work on your plushie control. You run them through as complex commands as you can without straining. Simple tasks are almost second nature to you, but complex actions involving two or more make your brain hurt. When you have all three of them run along your feet, trying to avoid getting stepped on, you trip more than a few times. You fall once, they caught you from breaking your face on the sidewalk.
There still aren't a lot of people on the street, the ones you notice ding Maj. A few sleazy looking dudes play dice behind a run down izakaya; they carry themselves with a knowing swagger only Maj-gang Dogs have. The night's muggy, muddy and ugly; you think Mugs have better places to be.
You make it to the drugstore, a cramped little place in a building squeezed reedy tall. There's a fried chicken place and a liquor store beside it, you smirk at the irony. There's an actual Mug working the counter, a squat old man with a froggy face and Einstein hair. He bows and greets you, you give him a half-hearted wave back and slip him a bogus prescription for antibiotics. He takes it without looking and heads to the back.
You decide to wander the store and run into Felicia. She's in Mug gear, jean shorts and a purple cow print hoodie with worn out horns. She gazes hungrily at a chocolate "heart" (but everyone knew it was a butt), MC Shirayuki branded schlock.
You slide up to her carefully; you hid your face under that Magius hood when tricking her, but she might have seen your face with Kei before then.
"Hey sis, could you buy that thing for me? I only have this much money..." She holds out a palmful of 100 and 500 yen coins.
You brush hair from your face and give her a winning fake smile. "Sure thing, kid."
She pouts. "I'm not a kid. I'm a 1st year in high school."
You beg off playfully. "Right, right. Studying hard then?"
"Nope!" She fidgets, putting her hands behind her back. "Uhhh I mean yeah! Studying the heck outta some...stuff. Study stuff. But my grades are bad and studying's hard, so I need chocolate or I'll fall into despair! And stuff!"
You crouch down to her. "Well a girl like you falling to despair would suck pretty bad. I'll buy it for you."
She leaps at you with a bone crushing hug, shaking you like a dog worrying at a toy. Before you feel anything break, she lets go and gives you a hard look.
"...Do I know you from somewhere?" Her face scrunches with effort.
You slip your hand into your leather jacket's pocket, gripping your box cutter. You keep your pose friendly, but you're ready to cut her before she transforms.
Realization dawns on Felicia's face. "You must be a rockstar or something!"
You loosen your grip on the box cutter. "Not a star yet, but I'll get there. I swear on the Goddess."
The Mug behind the counter returns with your meds; you grab some red Feitorade, a black notebook and the chocolate "heart", pay for everything in cash. You pocket the meds and hand over the chocolate, Felicia hugs you again and gives you her LIME contact information.
Even with the antibiotics, Kei's not 100%. She's able to stand, but she tells you her movements are dulled. She plays it off as a minor thing, but you see the storm clouds on her brow. It's going to take some more time for her to heal fully, even with Mito-senpai's assistance. You'd either need to drug her up so she can sit down and heal, or take care of her for the full antibiotic cycle, which cuts into your gang building time something fierce. You can't turn this place into a offering to the Goddess on your ass, but you don't want to bet on a weakened Kei.
Mito-senpai very colorfully suggests that the physical damage is healed and Kei just needs rest, but Kei won't sit still, instead running katas and sword drills. You can tell she wants to do something, fight something. It's getting to the point where you can see Mito-senpai contemplating breaking both Kei's legs just to get her to stop.

We've got more Dosh than Rep, and from the look of things accumulating lots of Rep unlocks new options in a way I'm not sure Dosh does. Plus, sedated Kei still trying vainly to keep moving sounds amusing to me. Maybe we can just sit on her?
And how would ruining the alliance help achieve that?
I mean, sure, it'd make Nanami House into an easier target, but would that alone be enough for the Magius?
Magia: RE:ject
Level: ☆☆
Description: Aki can reject an action, resetting things to how they were before the action was taken. This ability is extraordinarily powerful, but comes with several caveats: Aki must be aware of the action, Aki must be able to respond to the action, Aki must understand how the situation was before the action she wishes to reject. As of now, Aki only truly understands rejecting the maladies of the human body, particularly the aging process.
At level 2, Aki can reject most injuries and diseases, to the point of casually reattaching limbs. She cannot reject severe nerve, brain or heart damage, as she doesn't fully understand the human body to replicate it perfectly.
You decide to wander the store and run into Felicia. She's in Mug gear, jean shorts and a purple cow print hoodie with worn out horns. She gazes hungrily at a chocolate "heart" (but everyone knew it was a butt), MC Shirayuki branded schlock.
...they sell chocolate merchandize at drug stores?
Is there something we may want to know about the chocolate?
[x] See if Felicia knows anyone who can help [NEW!]
I suppose we could find an in with the mercs that way? They have to have their own healers. Might come with a price attached, but that's building connections for you.
I'd be pretty amused if Felicia gives us a Mug contact, though.
Theme would've been a better word to use. Big picture shit, you know?
And how would ruining the alliance help achieve that?
I mean, sure, it'd make Nanami House into an easier target, but would that alone be enough for the Magius?
Sending Felicia against Magius in and of itself would (Nanaka rightly predicts) bring a lot of heat onto Nanami House, because Felicia thinks subtlety is a type of beverage. The Magius girls are going to want revenge on Felicia for killing so many of theirs.
Felicia klling Rena in the crossfire would be a bonus, since it'd still cause tensions between Yachiyo and Momoko to boil over, which'd make Nanami House's fight against Magius all the harder, tying Nanami House (and whatever cell of Magius girls tasked with vengeance) up completely and giving Tokiwa-gumi an easier chance at finding the Mirror Witch.
If that's Moderate Harm I do not know if I want to see the effects of a Severe one.
Aki doesn't have a handle on Kei's internal physiology or know the full extent of the infection, so clearing the infection right now violates her third catch. She'd need a full physical, bloodwork done and a flora check of healthy Kei to RE:ject her back perfectly.
Now, if Kei had an intuitive infection, like a UTI or a head cold, Aki'd be able to RE:ject that more easily. If Kei had a weeping sore or cellulitis, Aki'd be able to fix it. But Kei's leg was so fucked, she was treated so late, and the floor of the junk shop she was bleeding into so full of dirt and death the infection vectors were everywhere.
...they sell chocolate merchandize at drug stores?
Is there something we may want to know about the chocolate?
This drugstore takes the "spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down" approach, so they sell candy and chocolate. The chocolate "heart" is known to cause incredible lust in Clara Dolls and Gothic Lolita enthusiasts
It's funny that @Brainwasher is the one who put Drugs over the top.

You decide to help Mito-senpai take care of your pet. You knew when Kei got antsy like this, she made even dumber decisions than usual. That behind her easygoing pace and tomboy drawl was a suicidally driven individual. When there was someone or something Kei couldn't beat, she'd obsess over it. Part of being the Never Give Up Girl meant she never let go, either. Even when anyone sane would move on.
But you had ways of breaking Kei out of her funks.
"Yuririn! Gimme back my headband, dude!" Kei storms up to you, clad in a white tank top and black boyshorts. She's interrupting your lunch (curry cutlet on ciabatta). You and her are the only people front of the house at Curry du Marche, so Elsie won't do anything.
You recline in your booth, bangs hiding a blank stare. "No idea what you're talking about."
"I know you do, dude!" Kei gingerly taps out her injured leg. "You always take my headband and stuff!"
"I didn't take it," you shrug. "Honest."
Kei has "liar" on the tip of her tongue. She bites it back, fuming. "Are you really being honest, dude?"
"Would I lie to you?" You blow bangs from your face, cheeks dimpling with a devilish grin.
Kei frowns. "I wasn't talking about lies, dude. I asked are you being honest?"
"Honest as an Incubator," you say. Truth is, you didn't take her headband. Your plushes did. The JK werewolf stuffed it between the couch cushions in back.
Kei plops into your booth, you bring your legs up so she has space. "Your plushes took them."
You hand her a bottle of water. "You caught on quick."
She chugs it reflexivley, not questioning how easily the top came off. "When you say 'honest as an Incubator,' that means you're bending the truth." She slugs your arm. "Lying by omission's still lying, dude."
Your bunny plush hops out of your leather jacket, starts massaging Kei's hurt leg.
"Feeling better?" You ask.
"Fever's gone, leg's really sore," Kei smiles to hide the pain from your plush's touch. "Like super sore, dude. I think I get why all the best Swordmasters tend to be Royal Guards."
"What, like the Slaughterhouse Samurai? Didn't you have a poster of her on your wall?"
"Un."
You have an aha moment. "Hey, wait. Didn't Elsie say Madoka and that other one were looking for Sayaka Miki?"
Kei shrugs. "Iunno. Probably."
You eye up Kei. "You're really calm about the Slaughterhouse Samurai possibly being in Kamihama."
"I'm super excited about it," Kei says, "But I can't feel my face, dude."
You see Kei's body shake as her tensed muscles relax and return to rest. You call your bunny plush back. "Good. The drugs are kicking in. Mito-senpai'll be back with the shotgun soon." You stroke Kei's forehead. "There won't be any pain."
"From gorilla to dog to horse, dude?" Kei chuckles drunkenly. "What's next, pig?"
"Cow," you say, nibbling on your curry cutlet ciabatta.
It's Kei's turn to smirk as she flops her boobs on your face. "Whoops. I tipped, dude."
"Cows don't tip on their own, idiot."
"Well I'm not a cow, dude. I'm not an idiot, either." Kei whispers in your ear, smothering you in a bear hug. "I'm your friend, Yuririn. Your most precious thing in the whole wide world."
She hoists you over her shoulder. You thrash, calling all three plushes to action in sequence.
"The hell are you doing?"
Kei gets up on wobbly legs. "We're gonna..gonna go fight shtuff! Jusht like the old daysh!" She squints at the silver ring on her splayed right hand, her inert Soul Gem.
You roll your eyes, all three of your plushies grab at Kei's legs. "The drugs I gave you were special from Doc Hinano. Maj dissociative and painkiller. You won't be able to transform. Sit down, idiot."
"Sho that'sh why my shoul feelsh fuzzy..." She manages a few steps against the pull of your plushies. Her ring flashes red in fits and spurts; through the strobe light you see Mito-senpai return, carrying shopping bags and ammunition.
Kei half-transforms into her Magical Girl costume before collapsing with you on top of her; Phoenix print kimono hanging off her shoulder, but without her headband...
Mito-senpai covers her eyes and summons her bat. "Get a Goddess-damned room you fuckin' lesbos!"
...Or anything else.
☆☆☆
[Kei's Fully Healed! Physically. ]
Kei got the hint to stay down after that. Mito-senpai couldn't look either of you in the eyes for a few days without blushing and threatening further violence.
Once Kei said she was 100% and Mito-senpai could face you again, she called the two of you back to her office. Bottles, folders and Grief Seeds were still piled on her poker table.
Madoka, in something sickeningly cute, face like the Goddess, was a new addition. Her gloomy friend was there too.
"Awright you clamdiggers, I've got another job for ya. Escort these two."
"To the West?" Kei says. She's sitting apart from you on the big ratty couch, still embarrassed about you accidentally topping her.
"To Mizuna Shrine, right next door in Mizuna Ward." Mito-senpai drums her fingers on the poker table. You notice she's not smoking.
You know Mizuna's where Ripper-chan's supposed to be. Any Maj fool enough to go out there was either looking to die, or looking to get someone killed.
You look to Homura. She gives you a dirty look back. "Got someone you want dead?"
"Homura-chan and I heard a rumor about a Magical Girl Killer," Madoka says, pulling Homura to her. "We wanted to check it out."
"Cool. What do you need us for?"
"Security," Madoka says, looking at you with heavily lidded eyes. "Homura-chan and I are pretty low ranking Magical Girls."
"So are we. You need muscle, why not hire the Raging Bull? Hear she's real easy to work with."
Kei winces at the mention of Felicia's nickname. You can tell her body remembers the pain of that fight.
Madoka stares into your soul with golden eyes, crushing you with rapturous terror. "I have faith in you, Sasaki-san."

Elsie cuts in, coughing. "We haven't seen or heard of Mami Tomoe, Kyoko Sakura or Sayaka Miki entering Kamihama, although there have been reports of a girl matching Mami Tomoe's description on the west side of town."
She should, right? Even Kei can't have missed that. Or are names and titles separate in megucaverse?
We are getting our Big Bad BlueBerry Baka back! Baka Sentai dream will come true!
Maj dissociative? They have drugs for everything, huh.
I assume the name is a reference to the Assassination Classroom? Haven't seen it, I'm afraid... but the above quote conveys everything I need to know.
...she isn't our Mitakihara Doc, is she? I checked and rechecked, but that one's name was never given.
"Well I'm not a cow, dude. I'm not an idiot, either." Kei whispers in your ear, smothering you in a bear hug. "I'm your friend, Yuririn. Your most precious thing in the whole wide world."
Look, a 'friend', I am probably going to concede. Eventually. Woe is me.
But please don't go Clara Doll on us. Or worse yet, Mono^2. It's unprofessional! And weirds out Best Sempai, too!
Not here, but other factions have timetables they can advance in BitD. The longer you take to do stuff, the more time they have to complete their objectives. For example, healing Kei here was working through two separate timetables: lowering her Moderate Harm to Minor Harm and lowering her Minor Harm to no harm. Other crews have stuff like that they do during downtime.
There will be situations where you may have to sacrifice prep for speed in order to keep those other fuckers from completing their own objectives.

Titles and names are tied together, but Kei and Yuri haven't grokked that Madoka and Homura know the Slaughterhouse Samurai. Remember: Madoka hides very well as boss of the Marui-gumi and most people that see Homura end up dead.
Yuri and Friends Useful People have kind of an Aqua from Konosuba thing going on; until Madoka hits them with the Care Bear Stare, they think she's just some newbie Maj who happens to look a lot like the Goddess.
