New Skills:
Johnathan:
Light of the Self: (Lv. 3, Tier 1)
This technique allows the user to touch and manipulate the Light of the Self. The Light of the Self is not truly of the Self; rather the Self acts as a channel for a much greater Light. One of the most basic uses of this technique is to allow the Self to change the World, even as the World changes the Self. This generally manifests as a white beam of not-light, that scorches and burns it's target. Level affects two things: how 'wide' the channel is for the Light of the Self, and how skilled you are at manifesting and manipulating the Light of the Self when you release it upon the world.
In general, it takes you about a minute to burn through an inch of material. Your max diameter beam is around three inches, though this will quickly exhaust you.
Illumination of the World: (Lv. 3, Tier 1)
By harnessing the unrestrained potential of the Light of the Self, you have seen beyond the layer of reality that is the world, and into the foundation itself. The Light of the Self scours away illusions and deceptions, as it comes from a higher reality, and is thus beyond such things. When using this skill, nearby illusions are constantly degraded at a rate proportional to the level of this skill.
You can burn through illusions in minutes with a crackling lamp of not-light that illuminates the World.
Manipulation of the Self: (lv. 2, Tier 1)
By manipulating the Light of your Self you can change it's reflection: your body. In essence you are forcing the Light of your Self into a specific pattern and then using the connection between the Light of your Self and your body to impose it upon your body. In general, if it involves altering the body, it is possible; healing bones, hardening skin, enhancing vision, and even turning an arm into a weapon is all possible. Changes will regress to the default state, which means that alterations such as shaper vision will wear off while healing won't. Level affects speed of alteration, duration, how much you can enhance something, the chance to 'fumble' and several other things. In general the closer to your existing body the change is the easier and quicker it goes and the longer it lasts.
You can accelerate your healing by about 25% percent, and heal even unhealable wounds at a very slow rate. You can change minor things about already existing features for about two hours, and it takes around 5-10 minutes to implement them.
Contemplation of the Crown: (lv. 6, Tier 2)
You have touched the whispers in the dark, and in doing so seen something beyond. Keter, The Crown above the Kingdom. A channel has been widened, and sometimes you hear whispers of things that you shouldn't know. You have learned to meditate upon the whispers, seeking guidance upon a specific matter. This skill measures a lot of things; it deals with how in sync you are with your chosen Sephirot, what the whispers will say and how clear they are as well as various other things. (many of which are secret) Perhaps more importantly, this skill is crucial to the Tier system.
You can meditate upon the whisper to seek guidance, and the whispers will occasionally give aid- though it may not always be relevant, or even useful.
Glory of the Crown: (lv. 1, Tier 2)
Your connection with Keter has expanded, and more than whispers may now flow across. The Glory of the Crown now flows through your veins, elevating you above the Kingdom. This technique passively reduces the amount of sleep, food, energy spent on a given task, and at higher levels can even eliminate earthly needs by in essence elevating your body's existence. The Glory of the Crown makes you both more and less real, shifting and changing your body's existence such that it is greater and yet lesser all at the same time.
You now need only sleep for four hours. However, you can choose to sleep for longer; it is just that sleeping for four hours will perform the exact same function as a full night of sleep.
Joan:
Beat of the World: (Lv. 3)
This technique allows the user to tap into the Beat of the World. The Beat of the World is the pattern in the not-light that creates and maintains reality. One of the most basic uses of this is to allow the World to change the Self, molding the channel by which you sup upon the World's lifeblood to enhance and reinforce yourself. Level affects two things: how skilled you are at dealing with the Beat of the World, and how good you are at using it's power to enhance and reinforce yourself.
You can now crack a brick wall and bend steel beams with your strength when you go all out, though it quickly exhausts you. You can reach peak human speeds as well, though again it quickly exhausts you.
Illumination of the Self: (lv. 2)
The Beat of the World thrums through your ears and eyes, Illuminating your Self. The Beat of the World is what shapes Reality, and this skill allows you to see it and intuitively understand it. When this skill is active, you can get information on anything simply by focusing; the amount of time spent focusing indicates how much information and how accurate it is. In general, the information that you focus on is the bit that the skill focuses on. Information also displays (in Joan's case) as a user friendly Heads Up Display. Later levels can allow for minor passive applications of this skill, as well as constant display of the HUD.
You can analyze the dimensions of a simple object in five seconds; more complex ones take longer. You can begin analyzing the composition of an object after you have completely analyzed the dimensions, though you can only get a list of major components.
Manipulation of the World: (lv. 2)
The Beat of the World is what shapes Reality, and by changing it you can change Reality. This technique allows you to alter and change the Beat of the World, if only temporarily. The Beat is an iterative thing, taking into account that which it was before when it becomes anew. As such, changes to most objects will not unravel. However, changes to more fundamental things such as gravity, density of objects, and other manipulations of the laws of Reality will unravel, as they are constants programed into the Beat.
You can make minor changes to an object in 5-10 minutes; these build upon each other, allowing you to create something completely new given enough time. Having enough information about something will make it easier to change.
Contemplation of the Kingdom: (Lv. 6)
You have touched the whispers that accompany the Beat of the World, and in doing so seen something beyond. Malkuth, The Kingdom below the Crown. A channel has been widened, and sometimes you hear whispers of things that you shouldn't know.
Glory of the Kingdom (lv. 6)
Your connection with Malkuth has expanded, and more than whispers may now flow across. The Glory of the Kingdom now flows through your veins, aiding you in all things. This technique passively enhances your body, making it more resistant to hardship and damage, as well as increasing its strength and agility by solidifying its existence. The Glory of the Kingdom makes you both more and less real, shifting and changing your body's existence such that it is greater and yet lesser all at the same time.
Your body is faster and stronger than it should be for your age and build, and you can run for longer than you should be able to. Around a 30% passive increase in physical ability, which you can modulate at will.
Story:
You are Johnathan Wick, and you are content. You are in your favorite tree with your favorite person doing your favorite thing. You are taking the opportunity to enjoy one of the rare perfect summer days; the kind that should be enjoyed with sunglasses, a book, and a cold drink. You do not have sunglasses or a cold drink right now, but you rather think that the book you are reading more than makes up for that minor problem.
You pause in your reading, glancing over the side of the branch you are resting on to investigate the noise. You recognize the boy staring up at you; he is in one of the other classes at your school. You note that his green eyes have darker green flames flickering in the back of them. You are rather annoyed that you hadn't noticed this before. You wonder for a moment if everyone can see them, or if only certain people can.
You start slightly as the boy begins to speak. You are beginning to remember why you let your sister handle all of the social interaction.
"Why are you up there?" the boy asks calmly.
You manage to tear your gaze away from the flames flickering in the boy's eyes in order to reply. "...Enjoyable."
"Oh. Can I come up?" Is all the boy says. You are beginning to like this child.
"...Public." You reply. The boy obviously understands what you mean, as he quickly begins to climb the tree. You lean back and open your book again, settling in for some more reading. Summer days like this are meant to be wasted after all. You don't even notice the boy setting in on a nearby branch.
What do you do?

You are Joan Wick, and you are awake. You have not been like this for long however. You are in an oak tree that you have spent several days building a hammock into. You glance at the clockwork watch on your hand, noting that you have slept for several hours. You yawn, stretching your arms above your head. Your brother always thinks that you like a cat when you do this. You smile at the mental image before almost falling out of your hammock.
On the branch that you have made grow parallel to the hammock is your brother and a boy you don't know. This is unusual because while neither of you particularly enjoy the company of children, you are well aware that you could be the queen of the school' if you wanted to. Your brother on the other hand... well. The less said about his few attempts at socializing the better. You shoot your brother a questioning glance even as you desperately try to stabilize the hammock.
"...Enjoyable. Interesting." is all that your brother says about the child, but a quick glance at the boy is enough to confirm that your brother is indeed correct. The boy's body language speaks of levels of self-confidence and self-assuredness that quite simply don't belong in an eight year old child. Perhaps he is like the two of you?
You smile; your brother was certainly right about this kid being interesting.
What do you do?

I wanted to ask for ideas on various character traits, habits, and hobbies for the twins. So stuff like Joan really liking spicy food, or Johnathan liking poetry. I kind of want to have some player agency in defining how Johnathan and Joan act here, so feel free to suggest stuff. I can't guarantee that a vote will make it into the story, but if multiple people like an idea it's probably going to go in unless it's something ridiculous like cannibalism.

AN: So! This is quite frankly horrible writing, and I'm going to be going back through and fixing this section up later. The only reason I'm putting this out is that midterms are next week so you aren't going to be seeing much of me. You may have noticed that Harry is a bit different from canon; this is for a reason. A lot of other people at hogwarts are going to be different as well;
eight nine of them to be exact. On a side note, feel free to just ask me a question about the world; not only will I probably answer it, it might give me inspiration to work on the next update
Also! I've been working on the Da'at World, which is going to be where the original creation part of this quest takes place. I have a rough idea of how it's going to work, but right now I need to populate it. Therefore, I'm going to be taking suggestions on various myths to use and horrifying monsters to have you guys fight. I already have an idea for a particularly creepy species of vampires, but I need more. As such, if I particularly like an idea/suggestion, I'm going to give the originator a point that they can spend on leveling up a skill. So... yeah. Let the games begin!
Oh yeah; I've updated the main page with the new skills. I had to stop using the slides BB code because apparently it doesn't like having two rows of tabs or something
