The edge of town can hardly be called a town, now. The shapes of building remain, but they are consumed by plant-life. A carpet of moss and pine needles covers the ground, creepers run over every available surface, trees grow through living rooms and parlors. It seems as if the place were abandoned decades ago and left for nature to reclaim. And nature has claimed it thoroughly.

Further into the city, a massive conifer stands. Inspection would indicate it had been there for years, but those who live nearby would tell you that it wasn't there yesterday.

Driving through Morioh was a fairly peaceful activity I found. The Sun was shining, there were a few clouds in the sky, but nothing stormy, and even before I left the store there had been a cool and refreshing breeze. It was perfect.

And of course it wouldn't last.

As I turned down a somewhat empty street, I felt a massive lurch and bump, my motorcycle turning this way and that as I tried to control it.

"Hey, dammit, easy!!", I yelled. As if that wasn't bad enough, the motions had knocked the map loose, my paper guide flying off in the wind. "No you don't", I growled.

An aura of purple flame and black smoke flashed into existence before forming my Black Parade, the dark knight's armored fist lashing out and grasping the spinning page.

I looked down, and sure enough, the front tire of my bike was wrecked, the tire itself shredded, and the rim bent and twisted. I was fairly certain that my displeasure could be heard all the way back in Germany.

Looking up, I noticed only two other people on the street, a tall man in white, and a shorter man with a cigarette.

"I don't suppose either of you could help me get to the Library or an autoshop, right?"

RADIO: MORI MORI MORI MORIOH CHU RADIO! GOOD MORNING MORIOH. Your host as always is your neighbor, Kai Harada. This week's morning news, something happened as if it came off of your Shounen Jump! Fast growing plants seemed to have consumed buildings at the edge of town. No one has any news of how his happened but my advice is to stay as far away as possible! Anyways, getting that out of the way, we have some western music today, hope you like David Bowie.

"Yare yare daze..." Jotaro said. He went to help him up when a guy on a pompadour passed by him.

"Hey you okay? Didn't hurt anything right?" The man with the fabulous hairdo said.

Jotaro simply stood there as PTSD ravaged him from the inside out before talking again. "S-So... You said you met a stand with searching capabilities then? I will take you up on that offer."
Seemingly not noticing Jotaro's reaction, Vincent nodded and smiled faintly as a card showing the ace of spades seemed to appear in his free hand, spinning gently on the tip of a finger. Removing his cigarette from his mouth as the card appeared, he began talking.

"This is a Stand I encountered around three years ago, with the ability to spy on people." He began, a lumpy figure with indistinct features seemingly moulded from off-white clay fading into existence behind him. "The original required some organic sample of the target and could only show them and their surroundings as an image, but my copied version bypasses those limits."

Stopping the card spinning on his finger with the ace's point aimed at Jotaro, Vincent took another draw on his cigarette before continuing. "For me, not only is a mere name or picture enough to spy on someone, but I can create a map to their current location too. Observe!"

At Vincent's words, his Stand reached up to its own face and grabbed each side as though about to tear it in half. "「No Heaven」! 「Every Breath You Take」!" Vincent barked commandingly, and at those words... his Stand did just that. The hands gripping the sides of its face pulled, causing No Heaven's face to split down the middle... only to reveal a completely different one within.

A shudder ran through the Stand's body as it writhed and twisted, its clay-like flesh rapidly unfolding to reveal a new form; a suit of seamless medieval armour with visible breath emerging from the mouth and the metal of its body polished to a blinding mirror finish.

"Now," Vincent said, a smirk on his lips as his Stand finished transforming. "Show us Josuke Higashikata."

At his command, No Heaven brought it's hands together and a pair of faintly glowing spheres formed between them; one showing a birds eye view of where they were standing with a surprisingly short red line imposed on it, the other-

"Well." Vincent said after a brief, awkward pause, his lips curling up in amusement, "At least your search should be over quickly now, no?"

"iM bOreD!" She simply shouted.
"...That's it?" Haido simply says. It did make sense for a young girl to have childish reasons for her behavior, especially if she gained her [bizarre powers] only recently. "Then I am sorry to say...this is the wrong place to rid yourself of your boredom.

All sounds of loud heartbeats cease. Willing his Stand back into himself Haido, giving the girl a wide berth, moves next to the teacher and, facing the students, smile while raising a hand. "Nice to meet you! My name is Haido Kido, and I recently returned to Japan after studying abroad for an year! What just happened was the result of me losing a bet! Sorry about that!"

Then he turns to the teacher. "Where do I sit?"

During all of that, he always keeps the little girl within his field of vision.

"WHAT?" He lost his hearing as did a few of the students.

"Was it me or did anyone see a Glob monster (YT can be seen by muggles) and hear extremely intense heartbeats?" One of the male students say.

Used to this Haido opens his schoolbag and takes out a notebook and a pen. On a white page he writes something and shows it to the teacher:

"I am Haido Kido, the new transfer student. Where do I sit?"

"Oh a, over there I guess." He pointed to an empty seat in the second row.

"No seriously does anyone see a Glob monster?" Everyone was ignoring him, mostly out of sheer disbelief and not wanting their world view broken.

Orochi just.

Kept standing there.

He opened his mouth.

He shut it.

After a long while, he walked to the chalkboard and picked up some chalk.

Some kind of hallucinogenic gas
, he wrote. I suggest we evacuate immediately.

Having ensured maximum panic, he walked towards, and out the door.

And then, without another word, he crouched down behind the nearest set of lockers, waiting to grab and whisk away Haido as soon as he showed his evacuating (childish, irritating, incandescently oblivious) face.

"Yes, yes, I'm fine thank you", I said, "Nothing more than my prides been injured I assure you".

There were now three people before me, the same two men as before, only now I could see the Stand floating next to the smoking man, and a teenager, dressed in a strange uniform of sorts, with a pompidour of all things.

I pointed to the tall man, "Nice Hat".

I pointed to the teenager, "Nice Hair".

I pointed to the smoker, "Nice Stand", and called Black Parade back into being, shadows twisting into the shape of a longsword, my Stand taking up a non-threatening, but still protective stance behind me. "It got a name", I asked?

Jotaro simply kept standing there will a blank face.

Having been granted the blessing of a rational explanation, with some extra glad they have an excuse to skip school, the students do the obvious thing and start panicking before running out of the classroom.

The teacher soon follows.

Only when he is alone does Haido stands up. "This time Mom will have to believe me! There are witnesses!"

Grinning like a kid in a candy store he calmly walks out of the classroom while putting on a set of headphones and turning on the radio.

Haido stops. "Well then." He licks his lips. "This...is [interesting]."

"yAy!21 bUNNIEs! I lKe bUNNIES!" Wait what?

It had often been said, by other people, that something scary had knocked the breath right out of them. All things considered, that didn't seem to be the case for Orochi - it was more like he couldn't stop breathing in. And that wasn't even touching the sudden sweating.

"Fond of bunnies. I see. I suppose that makes me Elmer Fudd, then." He wheezed, more than he spoke. It - and by "it" he meant "this whole situation" - was something he'd have to leave out of his eventual memoirs (It's No Wonder I'm so Wonderful, or so went the current working title). "Tell me, little girl, do your parents know you're in the habit of, shall we say, Standing out? Or skipping school, for that matter? Or redefining the word 'annoying' to the point I feel I should apologize to the rest of of town for placing it in the same category, while we're at it?!"

Out of the corner of his eye, and through the the hand mirror of a student touching up her mascara (Your lashes are long enough as is; the bridge of your nose doesn't need to form a suspension), he saw Haido smirking about, hrm, something on the radio. And speaking of Stand users ...

She was silent for a moment before saying, "mE parInts DonT exisT."

Ah. That was ... that was.

Orochi was Elmer Fudd, and this was the end of What's Opera, Doc. Now things made sense.

Orochi sighed, scratching the bridge of his own nose for a moment. "Let's make a deal, you and I." A piece of paper - some flyer for some after-school club - fluttered by, and he picked it up. "I'll turn this piece of paper into a bunny rabbit, using origami, and you can keep it for yourself. But after that, you have to leave me alone for a little while, alright?"

She said nothing for a while. Then she took out a piece of paper of her own and folded it into a bunny. "Wanna touch it?"
