You'd think Silas would bring up some concerns, at least.

*shrug*

If this was a roleplay, yeah, he likely would have, but the nature of this being a quest is that if you make one simple mistake on a turn the GM has the prerogative to punish you without telling you anything before hand.

Now if this was a major decision and multi-turn thing then Teron would have likely done something to warn us even if it was subtle foreshadowing. He is a fairly lenient GM which is what makes this quest so damn fun. Critical dice rolls for multiple turns? He might huff and puff but he rolls with the punches given and accepts it. Write an omake that sees Thrawn interact with the player's organization? A new high level hero in a few turns. But he also isn't afraid to throw stumbling blocks into the player or outright kill them. Disaster roll and bad rolls? Player is attacked and put into a coma. Possibility of death on a low roll due to the players deciding to gamble on a choice? You better be thankful you rolled above 50.

All in all this is only a disappointment for me and a wake up call to think more, nothing else. This doesn't kill us. It doesn't destroy our organization. In fact it probably gives Teron more rope to hang us -*cough*- I mean more ideas to liven the quest with.

So what's next?

Wait. I thought low disaster rolls were bad, high was good?

I need to go back and look, because apparently I'm misremembering. >_>

Nah, I went back and checked. Low rolls have always been good, high rolls have always been bad. That wasn't one of the rules that randomly changed to make things "interesting"

*looks in* Nobody dare to complain about the mess with Darra. I was ACTUALLY expecting that nobody would get the idea to use the JEDI for criminal actions and/or have her meet Tyro from the moment I introduced her. Still happened anyway, which actually disappointed me. *is gone again*

*will write an interlude sometime soon when he is sufficiently distracted from the newest RL disaster in his life (no this is not a bout of temporary depression, but serious trouble) and hopes for omakes in the meantime... he likes those*

Ciaran trolls her victims till they are paranoid and watching their back constantly. Then she has a disposable and deniable minion stab them in the front.

Okay... I admit that one was good.

So everything is bad?

No. EVERYTHING IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!

Now excuse me while I try to figure out what Interlude I wanted to write and how to refine the whole mess I threw at you a bit.

Interlude: Threats all around

"Yes? Be quick. Seven Minutes. Seven minutes are all I can spare for you."

"Sir, the reports confirm a full success of the newest virus in all test regions. In addition Lady Ciarans forces have yet to interfere and both the Republic and Separatists remain unaware."

"Hmm, depending on the results we may soon be able to move onto the next two phases. Have all containers been fit with the self-destruct mechanisms yet?"

"Yes, sir."

"Good. I look forward to seeing how Ciaran and Karada intend to combat the T category."

"Still not dead yet? I'm starting to believe that you are actually trying to get yourself killed, considering who is the target of your little crusade."

"I have studied them for a long time. They have no tactic or trick I don't know to the point that they have become... predictable. Not to mention that I'm being paid enough to cover for all eventualities if I should die."

"Just try to not get too overconfident, especially since half the galaxy wants you dead allread anyway. I really don't want to be the one who has to take care of your kid if something goes wrong."

"How is the matter with the Neutral Systems progressing?"

"On schedule and with no interference so far. If all goes as expected everyone involved will be too distracted trying to fight each other to react in time."

"Good, good."

"... Dire news, these are. More to say you have?"

"No, but she is hiding a lot. Gra... uhm, Silas did his best to prevent me from prying further when I tracked him down, but what I did see and hear confirms that Lady Ciaran or at least many of her employees are involved in dealings with various criminals across the galaxy."

"Hmm, this in addition to the request for help from Duchess Kryze heavily implies that Lady Ciaran is considerably less benevolent than she pretends to be."

"You may leave now. You have our gratitude for alarming us."

"Tha... nk you, Mas... Uhh..." *Thud*

Have fun making sense of these heavily cryptic fragments. I'll now play some more TIE-Fighter 95.

I'm hoping Gramps or some other of our people caught up with Darra, but it was probably Dooku('s)

What makes you think that thats going to be SW Wesker?

...Because that would be amazing and he'd be the perfect evil counterpart to Ciaran?

Hmm...this does sound like Jango is one of the speakers, but who's the other speaker and who's his target...

Well there is a conspiracy afoot, but I have no idea who the speakers are. So not much I can glean here...

...Yeah something is definitely off here. I get the vibe that he might have been subjected to hallucinogens at some point.
