Unexpected Developments

Kalawarner knocked on the bedroom door the next morning.

"Time to get up! You have school today!" Kala called.

Plutia couldn't help but grumble as she rolled out of bed and quickly dealt with her bedhead. "I'm coming. What time is it anyways?" The goddess asked, as she tried not to yawn.

"It's six thirty. I'm going to wake Asia and get breakfast ready," Kala replied. Her footsteps could be heard walking away. A knock was heard further down the hall as she woke the other girl.

"Morning is so tiring…" Lucifel yawned loudly as she passed by the closed door.

Plutia opened the door and hugged her daughter. "You have that right little one. Mornings always feel weird and sluggish." The elder CPU yawned slightly, covering her mouth with a sleeve. Lucifel returned the hug.

"Today is going to be so boring...I'm getting hooked up to the Divine System tomorrow and I haven't slept a wink…" Lucifel yawned again with tiredness weighing down her limbs. She cast a disgruntled look on the sky.

Plutia blinked, her expression shifting to one of worry. "Lucifel you're going back to bed. I tried to stay awake for a whole night once and it was horrible. You need your sleep, and I bet tomorrow will be easier if you're well rested." The goddess said, her tone strict but comforting. Mentally, Plutia was ready to engage HDD if Lucifel decided to be stubborn.

"Breakfast first then sleep," Lucifel argued even as her stomach rumbled.

Plutia nodded and tightened the hug. "Fair enough." Closing her eyes, Plutia quickly transformed into Iris Heart and picked up her daughter. "Now let's head down to the dining room little one." Lucifel snuggled in her arms with a tired sigh.

Kalawarner was in the kitchen blatantly cheating with magic. Pans levitated around while cooking utensils hovered. The Fallen was busy trying to get everything ready for the day. Asia helpfully made rice balls to go with lunch. Meanwhile Kala was making everything else and muttering "How do mothers handle this every morning?" Lucifel giggled sleepily.

Iris Heart chuckled. "I honestly have no idea Servant. When it came to my own mother, I usually made my food myself by microwaving something from the fridge for freezer." Iris Heart yawned slightly before she adjusted how she was carrying her daughter for ease of comfort.

"Is she okay?" Asia stopped what she was doing to come over and check on Lucifel. Twilight Healing already appearing on her fingers to diagnose the tired girl. Lucifel held her hands.

"I'm okay just really sleepy. I have a big day tomorrow," Lucifel smiled.

"After breakfast it's right back to bed with you young lady," Kala said. Lucifel giggled.

"You and Iris Mama want me back in bed," she smiled.

"Well, we care about you," Asia said.

"I know," Lucifel blushed bashfully.

Iris Heart simply hugged her daughter, while still holding onto her, the goddess floating a touch above the floor. "Good. It's always good to know that. Anyways, may I know what's for breakfast Servant? It smells just divine."

"Bacon, eggs, hash browns, and toast. I thought a hearty breakfast would be nice," Kalawarner smiled at Lucifel before turning back to her cooking.

"I was making rice balls to go with the octodogs, rice, and tempura for lunch," Asia said.

"Excellent work minion!" Lucifel patted Asia on the head. The older girl playfully pushed her hand away.

Iris Heart chuckled once more. "Amazing~ I'll just set Lucifel down and de-transform. Unfortunately I doubt I could go to school as well, myself." The goddess chuckled before setting her daughter down onto a chair and de-transformed. Plutia sat down next to her daughter and started rubbing the last bits of sleep out of her eyes.

Breakfast was a quiet affair as Lucifel set herself to eating immediately. She thanked Kalawarner for the food, hugged her parents, and wandered off towards the living room. Kala rolled her eyes fondly.

"Let me help you," she lifted the sleepy girl up and carried her upstairs.

"Before she stopped me Twilight Healing did get a scan. Her mana is low from lack of sleep," Asia told Plutia.

Plutia nodded. "Yeah, she definitely needs her sleep. She told me she got absolutely no sleep last night." The goddess shook her head. "I've done that before, the staying up all night I mean. It was horrible." Plutia yawned and finished up her bacon. "Anything rose? If not I'll go change into my school uniform and get my school stuff… Why did I think that offer was a good idea…"

"You're secretly a masochist?" Asia smirked. The former nun was already dressed for the day. She gathered the dishes from the table and took them to the sink. Kala must still be upstairs with Lucifel.

Plutia rolled her eyes. "Kala's been a influence on you I see. Or is that Issei's fault~" Plutia counter teased.

"Kala has been helpful. I asked her for advice on advancing my relationship with Issei. She suggested I watch the other girls. Take note of what works, what doesn't work, and decide from myself what I want to try. Akeno is a bit too S which kind of turns him off. He likes a little, but she's a bit too enthusiastic. He likes sweet so I'm perfectly on track. My only real competition is Rias and Akeno. Koneko still calls him a pervert," Asia twisted the dish rag in her hand absently. It came apart with a wet tearing sound. The young goddess stared at the shredded cloth in bemusement.

Plutia chuckled. "That reminds me. I need to visit the ORC, haven't spent some time with them in a bit.." Plutia yawned and headed off to her room to get dressed and ready.

Kalawarner was at the door to send off Asia and Plutia with a smile. The domestic life suited her it seemed. She gave them both a little hug before watching them leave for the day. Asia had a visible spring to her step. Some people were just naturally morning people, unlike Plutia. The pair made small talk on the way before meeting up with Issei at the gate. Asia visibly fumed as it looked like Rias was walking with him to school. Ah the smell of teen drama and angst. May it die in a fire. A fire made of bees. Issei didn't know whether he should look happy or scared. Two of the most important girls in his life were holding an arm and shooting subtle glares.

Issei settled on scared.

Plutia merely facepalmed. "Really?"

"Issei you traitor!" A short kid with glasses yelled.

"You are the enemy!" A taller kid with a shaved head yelled. Motohama and Matsuda. Two of the group known as the Perverted Trio of which Issei belonged. At their shouts Issei just sighed and slumped his shoulders.

Plutia facepalmed again. "Seriously? Of all the time for stupid stuff like this…" The CPU leveled a glare at the boys. "I am not in the mood for this. You. Tall guy and short guy, not bothering with remembering your names, apologize."

The boys hesitated at being called out. A glance around the courtyard showed the various stares they were receiving. The embarrassed duo managed some weak apologies before scurrying with their tails between their legs.

"Honestly...Those two should be happy for him. Aren't they his friends?" Asia huffed.

"I swear they need a hobby," Rias was in full agreement.

"Jealousy does bad things to people." Was all Plutia said with a shrug.

"Yeah I've kind of been avoiding them lately. I really should see if they want to do something later," Issei decided before hastily saying. "Just no peeping. I promise." He smiled at Asia's approving nod and Rias' faint smile.

Plutia rolled her eyes. "Good. Anyways let's get to class before something stupid happens, again."

The morning progressed with a minimum of stupidity. Plutia did have to explain to the teacher about her absence. The teacher made her promise to have the make up work done by Monday. Issei ended up the subject of many stares and not a few glares. Walking into school with three cute girls, two of them on his arms, was raising the hackles of the boys. Even the girls were muttering about him sullying Rias' reputation with his presence.

'In my name, do these idiots think I'm involved with Issei or something?' Plutia thought, disapproving of the gossip and other social shenanigans. "Social stuff never stops being stupid once it's outside of your social circle it seems." The CPU muttered to herself.

"That is quite enough. The next person who talks out of turn gets to stand in the hallway with buckets," the teacher slapped her ruler off the desk irritably. Just like that the kids sat up and shut up. Issei still looked like he wanted to crawl under his desk. Asia turned a helpless look in his direction.

The third period of the day was a free period. Issei let out a sigh before letting his head hit the desk. At least the school rumor mill deigned to give a break. Asia would have gone over to talk to him, but a fellow classmate stopped to talk to her. The other girl was quite attractive with her brunette hair in little ponytails and wearing glasses. Was it something in the water that made all the girls look so cute?

Not that Plutia cared even if she did prefer girls. She wasn't getting caught up in any romantic shenanigans if she could help it. The goddess got up, yawned slightly and walked over to Asia. "What's the rumor mill going on about now?"

"The rumor going around is that Issei is dating both Asia and Rias. Apparently he's two-timing them to their faces," the bespectacled girl smirked.

"Aika was just telling me of the wild rumors going around," Asia said.

Plutia facepalmed. "That is just monumentally stupid. I doubt he's stupid enough to even think that would be a good idea. And what is the mill saying about me?"

"That you're a short tempered and violent person," Aika said bluntly. Asia winced. It was clear she heard all of this already.

Plutia just stared. "I'll admit to the short tempered thing but I am not violent. Pity, I thought people were starting to like me...." Plutia sighed, pouting cutely as she did so.

Asia impulsively hugged Plutia comfortingly. Aika patted her hair lightly.

"They don't know you. Most of the time people say things without knowing the truth," Asia said reassuringly.

"Usually short-tempered goes with violent. I can see how the rumor got started. The only violent thing I've seen is how you sometimes clench your hands like you're wringing someone's neck," Aika noted.

"And I do that to control my temper…" Plutia sighed before yawning.

Somehow Aika didn't look reassured.

"She's very nice at home," Asia swore loyally.

"Yeah… Lots of people just tends to stress me out…" Plutia sighed, inching closer to her friend.

"Have you tried homeschooling?" Aika asked kindly.

Plutia closed her eyes, as she started to drift deeply into her own thoughts . "I'll think it over."

A ping of distress came across Plutia's connection to Lucifel. The signal was strong as her panic mounted higher. She couldn't even communicate mentally as her emotions overwhelmed everything. There came a sudden scream as if Lucifel were in the same room before silence. Asia gasped in stunned horror, face streaming with sweat at the sudden emotional overload. The blonde was already leaping to her feet and bolting for the door. Plutia clenched her fists. "Gotta go." The small CPU all but hurled herself out the door. She had one goal in mind. Get home, and make whoever hurt her daughter die screaming in agony.

The trip across town was a blur as Asia and Plutia raced home. A plume of smoke rose into the sky from the location of their house. The former nun forwent stealth and turned into HDD before taking off through the air at full speed. Plutia did the same, and a very pissed Iris Heart took to the skies. "I am going to murder whoever did this SLOWLY." Yet despite her protective fury, Iris Heart's voice sounded.. Scared.

The pair of Goddesses arrived at the ruined house at almost the same time. Green Sister noticed someone moving among the rubble and dived straight to the ground. The Candidate grabbed a broken piece of wall and cast it aside with surprising strength. She kept tossing debris to the side with abandon as the pile of detritus shifted.

"Call out to me! Kalawarner! Lucifel!" Green Sister called.

Iris Heart reached out with her share-sense, to find whoever was under the rubble. The goddess was trying not to cry. 'Who did this? Was it the Angels or Church? Riser's asshats? Someone among the Fallen pissed at Asia for wrecking the sword thief? Doesn't matter. They'll die screaming no matter who the hell they are.'

"I-I'm here…!" Kalawarner called, her voice breaking near the end. Almost instantaneously, Iris Heart swept down and dug the Fallen out. As she moved it became clear something was missing. Her entire left arm was cut off at the upper arm. There were numerous cuts and abrasions over her body.

"Asia. Heal her. Please. Kala, where is Lucifel?!!!" Iris Heart said as she tried not to scream, her heart beating as she looked for any sign of her daughter.

Green Sister used her great rings to heal Kalawarner to full. The Fallen swooned as the pain receded but kept her composure enough to report, "I...I don't know...I sent her down to the Share Chamber…" Kala's composure fled as the realization hit. She didn't know where her and Plutia's daughter was.

"N-no. No. N-no..n-n-no…" Iris Heart's eyes widened, as she muttered to herself. She casted out her share sense in search of her daughter. Meanwhile her body moved, and started unearthing the entrance to the Share Chamber.

"Kala no! You're still too weak!" Green Sister tried to hold the Fallen back.

"That's my daughter down there! Either help or get out of my way!" Kalawarner joined Iris Heart in clearing rubble. The Candidate nodded once before setting up an exclusion field to avoid alerting the authorities, at least any more than they already were. She joined in the recovery effort.

It felt like hours, but in reality took minutes, to uncover the entrance. Lucifel was just inside the chamber unconscious with blood spilling along the floor. Green Sister pushed her way through to begin healing the young girl and preempt an explosion. The look in her eyes promised violence should she find the one responsible. If she had looked in Kalawarner's eyes she would have seen the same desire for retribution. Iris Heart meanwhile radiated her desire to slowly slaughter the idiots who had done this, even as she hugged her daughter once she was healed.

"Who did this? I am going to find them and make those unforgivable wretched wastes of life the death they fucking deserve for daring to hurt you two. For daring to attack our home." Iris Heart asked to Kala as she hugged Lucifel as hard as she could without hurting her.

"Rizevim Lucifer was here. One of the disgraced descendents of the original Lucifer. I don't even know why he was here. He wanted Lucifel for something," Kala joined the hug. Lucifel held both of her mothers while crying uncontrollably. Iris Heart buried her face on her daughter's shoulder, trying to comfort her.

"Whatever it was he didn't get it," Green Sister said soothingly.

"No...No he did…" Lucifel gestured at the walls. The Sharicite was gone. The only thing remaining was the Sharicite Statue. She clutched at her wing as if to ensure it was still there. "He wanted one of my wings…" She hunched in on herself.

Green Sister's eyes glowed pure red as a growl escaped Kalawarner and Iris Heart's throats. The elder CPU's eyes seemed to dance between hate for the bastard who did this and love for her daughter.

"I threw my spear right through his damn crotch. The bastard will need a prayer to get that healed," Kalawarner snarled.

"I am going to make this fucking bastard beg for death when I get my hands on him. No one hurts anyone I care about, especially those I consider family, especially my daughter, and not PAY THE FUCKING PRICE." Iris Heart took a deep breath, trying to calm the raging inferno that was her temper before she lost control. She couldn't afford to bolt off in search of the fucker. "...At...at least you two are okay. Losing the books and all that sucked… but you two are okay. That's what matters." She said, hugging Kala and Lucifel tight.

"I'll call Rias and Uranus to let them know what happened," Green Sister said.

"H-here...Call Gabriel too…" Lucifel handed her the Angel's number.

"Right away," the Candidate walked a short distance away to make her phone calls.

Lucifel buried her face in Iris Heart's chest and cried. Kalawarner kissed the scared goddess on the forehead. Iris Heart merely tightened the hug, unwilling to let go. Rizevim made a grave miscalculation. He left survivors. Once the other Factions found out, especially the Angel Faction, the fallout would be legendary. Wherever he hid it wouldn't be enough to escape. Especially not from a wrathful Iris Heart.[/b][/i][/b][/i]

Rizevem is going to die. That I fucking swear. He made Lucifel cry and tried to kill her and Kala.

Hmm, did he believe that these new goddesses' power came from SG and attack?

But maybe he will tried the clone way and cheat his way into god domain?

But another serious problem, someone leak the intel. They know when Plutia won't be home.

If there's a traitor they also die screaming. Preferably from me beating them to death with their own body parts.

You all seem to forget that even though Kalawarner lost an arm she DID inflict grievous bodily harm on Rizevim. Getting hit in the groin with a Sharicite Spear, powered by the prayers of the faithful, is no joke. He's not dead, far from it, but that's why he didn't just kill them both.

He won't be so careless in the future.

Devils in Paradise

Several things happened in rapid succession as a result of Green Sister's phone call. Portals opened up all over the property disgorging Angels. More portals opened as Fallen Angels arrived. Uranus flew in like a comet and started barking orders to all Angels, Fallen or otherwise, on site. No one argued with her as the winged Host formed up around Lucifel. Both sets of Angels were wearing white robes under armored mantles.

"We have to go now. Come on. We're going to Heaven to connect her to the Divine System," Uranus said.

"How are you in charge?" Kalawarner retained enough presence of mind to ask.

"Michael is preparing the chamber while Gabriel is calling the Devils. Father is already there. We don't have time for this. You've been compromised," Uranus insisted. She turned gentler eyes on Lucifel, "We have to go now. Are you ready?"

Lucifel burrowed into her mother's' embrace, but managed a nod.

"Form up everyone! Don't let anyone in while we make the transfer!" Uranus ordered firmly.

Iris Heart growled. "How the fucking hell did that bastard even find out about Lucifel? I am going to fucking beat him to death with his own heart." The goddess kept a firm grip on her daughter, gently standing up so she was holding her daughter.

"Trust me. He is not going to like what happens now," Uranus promised.

"Investigate everything. There is no way he should have been able to breach the barrier and steal Lucifel's crystals. Leave the statue alone unless you just want to take a picture," Green Sister was already taking control of the situation on the ground. Due to her Ascension none of the Angels were arguing with her.

"Let's go, honey," Kalawarner said softly to Lucifel. The older Fallen stood close enough to Iris to not break her hold on their daughter.

"Four to port," Uranus held a hand out, fingers spread, as mana gathered. A magic circle formed around the four. The sensation of teleportation was a little rough. It was clear she wasn't used to teleporting this many people yet. However the worst that happened was everyone's hair was blown around.

The four appeared on a white marble platform with pure white pillars. Each pillar was wrapped and topped with gold. Gold filigree decorated the walls. Lucifel straightened with a sigh of relief. The sense of peace and safety permeated the area. Uranus tried to look unimpressed and failed miserably. It was Kalawarner's reaction that was the most surprising. Tears stood out in her eyes from painful nostalgia. Lucifel touched her face comfortingly eliciting a warm smile. Iris Heart merely took a deep breath before tightening her hug. "So this is Heaven? Expected something more… gaudy."

Three looks of pure disbelief greeted her statement.

"There you are. Right this way! We have the chamber prepared. Lord Michael is waiting on Lady Lucifel," a male Angel approached with quick strides. His garb was formal with long white robes and a blue mantle.

"Of course, Raphael," Lucifel smiled. He looked pleased that she knew his name.

"Wow...One of the Archangels came personally…" Uranus breathed.

"What's involved in this process?" Kalawarner pushed aside her earlier emotional moment.

"Lady Lucifel will be escorted to the chamber with Lord Michael. Unfortunately we will be unable to witness the ceremony due to the forces involved," Raphael said apologetically.

Iris Heart frowned. "Are you absolutely sure? I want to make sure she doesn't get hurt. At all." The goddess, hugged her daughter again.

"I would be the safest person in existence, Iris-mama," Lucifel assured her.

"We thought that about the Chamber of Faith under our home," Kalawarner said acidly.

"Understandable. If it would make you feel any better you can stand guard at the door," Raphael offered in a conciliatory manner.

"Great idea," Uranus agreed while casting a discreet look at Iris Heart for her reaction.

Iris Heart nodded. "Good enough for me."

"We will be going to the Seventh Heaven, the place where God used to reside. It is also connected to the Sacred Gear System," Raphael explained.

Beyond the teleportation point was a vast gate. All around one could see clouds with stone buildings floating among them. Raphael lead them along a stone path as he explained the purpose behind the different 'Heavens.' The First Heaven is where low level Angels reside and acts as the first line of defense. He indicated the Second Heaven, a place of darkness where the Angels could observe the stars and contain those Angels who sinned. The Third Heaven was where mortals aspired to enter. It was also connected to Purgatory.

"Isn't that a security risk? What if someone managed to get in through the Third Heaven?" Lucifel asked. Raphael looked as if he had never truly thought about it.

"You may have a point. We may need to increase security," Raphael looked troubled at having a potential security breach pointed out.

"Isn't Pride a Sin?" Kalawarner asked sardonically.

"Stop poking our host, Kalawarner," Uranus said warningly. The daughter of Azazel was keenly aware of just how irregular this whole situation was. Kala held up her hands with a faint smile. Watching the younger girl asserting herself was amusing to her.

"Ahem...This is the Fourth Heaven. The Garden of Eden where the Trees of Life and Wisdom reside," Raphael gestured. Iris Heart frowned slightly, yet said nothing.

The tour continued as the Archangel regained his composure. "This is the Fifth Heaven where our research institutes are located. It was also the former home of the Grigori," Raphael said delicately, acutely aware of his audience.

"The Sixth Heaven is where the Archangels reside. None of us reside within the Seventh Heaven," he explained.

"How can you monitor the system if you never spend any time there?" Lucifel sighed.

"He performs weekly maintenance checks," Raphael assured her.

"Right right…" Lucifel still didn't appear convinced. He looked worried at her reaction, or lack thereof.

"Did he somehow do something wrong?" He asked.

"He took over when there was literally no one else who could. Then did the job that no one wanted for thousands of years, tirelessly. I can't fault him for that," Lucifel said.

"But…?" Raphael sensed there was more to it.

"But, as the First Son of God after Lucifer, it was his Divine Right to take over. He could have easily become God Himself. Even if he didn't want that, he could have stayed in the Seventh Heaven to monitor the System in real time," Lucifel said.

"Hindsight is truly Twenty/Twenty. I wish I hadn't been so blinded by humility and did the job properly," Michael said as he approached.

Iris Heart couldn't help but raise a eyebrow. "First time I have ever heard of someone being blinded by their humility. Usually it's their pride that blinds them." She said, choosing her words carefully.

"Excess humility can be as damning as not enough. Too much and the person never puts themself forward. Lady Lucifel is right. I should not have allowed it to affect my judgement," Michael said. "Thank you for bringing them, Raphael." He nodded to his brother.

"You are quite welcome. I had better get to implementing stricter security measures around the Third Heaven," Raphael bowed to the group before excusing himself.

"Stricter security?" Michael asked.

"Lady Lucifel pointed out that the connection to Purgatory could be a security risk. In light of what happened…" Uranus trailed off leadingly.

"Indeed. We should be more vigilant. With that said the chamber is ready for you, My Lady," Michael smiled at Lucifel.

"I have no idea how long this will take. When it was made originally I was already connected. This is going to be my first time going through the connection process," Lucifel shrugged.

"It was quick for me. No more than ten minutes," Michael assured her.

"With my luck there will be 'complications,'" Lucifel shifted to Iris Daughter. She smiled sardonically.

"Do you require anything? I can send for someone to attend you," Michael offered Iris Heart, Kalawarner, and Uranus.

Iris Heart closed her eyes and hummed in thought, the Goddess clearly on guard. "No, not at this moment for myself… Kala, what do you say?" She asked.

Kalawarner and Uranus shook their heads and politely refused Michael's offer. He inclined his head politely to each before turning to hold the door for Iris Daughter. The Goddess smiled, hugged her family one more time, before stepping into the chamber. The doors shut with a muffled boom behind Michael.

"Anyone have a deck of cards? I think we're going to be here awhile," Uranus sighed.

"Because boredom is the first thing on our minds," Kalawarner rolled her eyes. There was a tenseness in her posture that had nothing to do with their surroundings. She was still agitated from earlier.

"No. At least you did not give me the games and 3DSes yet, so they were spared from the explosion. Plus I do not know how to play most card games." Iris Heart shrugged, her body language tense and stressed, yet under clear self-control.

Uranus looked between the two women. Azazel's daughter tugged on Kalawarner and Iris Heart's hands before enfolding them in a hug. Kala stiffened at the surprising contact before slowly relaxing by degrees. Some of the tension left her frame. Iris Heart also relaxed, the Goddess's body language relaxing as she returned the hug. "Thank you."

"Lucifel is in the safest place she could possibly be. Every Angel here would lay down their lives for her," Uranus spoke with a soothing tone.

"I thought you didn't trust Angels," Kala's lips quirked.

"I think they screwed up alot. However, their dedication to God is undeniable," Uranus said quietly.

"I still don't fully trust them, but I do trust my daughter when it comes to reading and seeing the good in people… I know at least she's better at it then me. Anyways, I hope it will not be a hassle for Rias to have the house rebuilt after that fucking pathetic worm destroyed it." Iris Heart's temper flared up, yet she managed to reign it back in quickly. The air briefly filled with black smoke in the wake of her profane word. Uranus coughed away the smell of sulphur.

"Oh for crying out loud...A swear censor? Really?" She coughed.

"Yes. A swear censor. I'm glad we're only staying for a visit," Kalawarner said sardonically.

"I wonder what is she going to be like after this?" Uranus mused thoughtfully.

"No matter what she's still my daughter…. And all this reminds me. I am going to need to focus on my own divinity and what that can do later. I have not explored it much, and it's close to biting me in the well… you know." Iris Heart… was not amused at the censor..

"Lucifel will always be Lucifel no matter what. I suppose I'm just worried about the responsibility. She knows what's involved. I can only imagine what she must do now," Kala shook her head slowly.

"Dad said you couldn't pay him to do it. He has compassion enough for others, but it's not limitless. To be God, the God popularized in culture, requires limitless compassion. Lucifel has a lot of love though," Uranus smiled reassuringly.

Iris Heart nodded. "Yes. And… Well I'll help her if I can. That's really all I can say now till we know more…" The goddess sighed. "...I wonder if I should de-transform. Idling like this wastes Shares, but I am not sure if I would be able to stay calm when normal."

"You don't want to be exhausted when she comes out. We don't know how long she will be in there," Kalawarner tightened the hug a little.

"And using HDD too long will make me collapse from exhaustion when I de-transform." Sighing Iris Heart tightened the hug.

"I think you should stay in HDD. At least until Lucifel comes out. I can tell you would be upset if you missed Lucifel coming out of the chamber," Uranus leaned against Iris Heart. She was putting on a brave face, but the Fallen was still worried.

Nodding, the Goddess continued the hug as she waited for her daughter, her thoughts filled with a desire for vengeance, and a desire to see her family safe.

Time in Heaven passed strangely. There was no need to eat, no need to sleep. The feeling of lost Shares slowed to a trickle before stopping entirely. From beyond the door a sense of waiting power continued to build. Angels randomly burst into song as they continued their daily affairs. Even Uranus sang a few notes before flushing with mortification. Kalawarner laughed only to suddenly started singing as well. Uranus' laughter was entirely appropriate.

Iris Heart chuckled. "Now that I will admit is funny. Hmm. Might upgrade the doll spell later. I need a effective way of disabling people like the… jerk."

"I'm feeling the Rapture. I can't remember the last time I felt this…" Kalawarner wasn't sure whether to be nostalgic or confused. Uranus just looked stunned.

"Should I even be able to feel it? I mean...I'm a half Fallen," Uranus said.

"As if that's going to stop Lucifel from loving you," Kala chuckled. Uranus blushed again.

"When you update the spell? Make it give the recipient the feeling of a full bladder. Daring to try and take Lucifel away…" Uranus ducked into her hoodie with a peevish mutter.

"Oh no no. I was thinking of something more… Mental. Prideful fools like him are so obsessed with their ego. With their self. So I'd make it to the doll spell suppresses those. No ego. No thoughts. Just a empty nothing floating about their head." Iris Heart grinned viciously.

Uranus nodded enthusiastically along with Iris Heart's idea. Kalawarner facepalmed at her companions' bizarre bonding moment.

"Of course since I'd need to test it, and the only person I feel comfortable testing on is myself… I'll likely throw in a measure that makes it harder to resist, the more you resist. But if you're not resisting then the spell's already shut down any thoughts." The grin remained. "Might also create a spell to ignite something. In case I doll the jerk and someone tries to rescue him."

"You are not testing more spells on yourself. Blast it, Iris Heart! You are not expendable," Kalawarner's eyes blazed with sudden anger and worry.

"Hey hey...I can ask Dad how he tests spells...Okay?" Uranus offered quickly. The older Fallen looked physically ill at the thought of anything happening to Iris.

"...Kala… you and Lucifel are perfectly capable of dispelling the previous versions of spell, which had no drawbacks. Though, that would be appreciated Uranus." Iris Heart sighed. Kalawarner involuntarily shuddered as she remembered her time under the previous spell. Her grip on Iris Heart only grew tighter. Iris Heart also tightened her grip, upset at herself for upsetting Kala. Uranus carefully extricated herself from the embrace.

Getting crushed between two well built women might be some people's idea of Heaven, but it wasn't hers. Especially when said women could turn stone to powder with their bare hands.

After what felt like an eternity the doors to the Chamber opened and Michael emerged. He turned and bowed low to the door. The woman who came forth was beautiful. Her appearance combined the best aspects of Iris Heart and Kalawarner. She wore a white toga with an ornate golden armored mantle. A golden staff was held in her grasp topped with a radiant sun with a trio of sapphires in the center. Resplendent wings of iris light emerged from her back.

"Oh my God…" Uranus mumbled.

"How nice of you to notice, cousin," Lucifel smirked playfully.

Kalawarner and Uranus moved to kneel only to be stopped by Lucifel raising a hand.

"Oh no. None of that. If anyone can get away with not kneeling to me it would be you," she laughed softly.

Iris Heart simply smiled and hugged her daughter. "You look amazing Lucifel. Though, I preferred it when you were smaller… " The elder goddess broke off the hug. "Anyways, how do you feel? And even though that worthless worm is still out there… I am going to hunt him down and rip him apart before he'd even get close to you again."

Michael looked vaguely disturbed at the sheer anger from Iris Heart's statement, but Lucifel only laughed.

"Be at ease, Mother. This is just my form for work. As for Rizevim? He will sorely regret his actions by the time we are finished with him," a glint of darkness appeared in her eyes.

"Uh oh...There's two of them…" Uranus laughed uneasily. Kalawarner put an arm around her shoulders in a comforting manner.

"Michael? Would you please have Gabriel contact the Fallen and Devil Factions? We need to discuss a meeting. Immediately," Lucifel said.

"Where will we meet?" Michael didn't question her decision.

"I have a brilliant idea. One that no one would expect," Lucifel tapped her cheek with a finger, a mischievous smile graced her face. Uranus and Kalawarner exchanged uneasy looks with Michael. A feeling of impending doom settled over the area.

Iris Heart preempted her daughter. "You better not say the Sharicite Room Lucifel." She crossed her arms and looked to her daughter. Michael looked scandalized at the scantily clad Goddess. He had even more reason to be shocked at Lucifel's reply.

"We're going to hold the meeting in the most secure place in the Realms. Right here," Lucifel beamed.

So that was where the sense of doom was coming from…

I worry now for Arkos, because here we have a diplomatic meeting coming up...

Let's Try Diplomacy

Plans for the meeting were drafted. The logistics would be a nightmare if Lucifel hadn't said to grant whatever concessions to security the others asked. It might sound a bit too permissive, but she was literally the Almighty at full power. If not for her personal promise that no one would be harmed the other Factions never would have accepted. To that end, God decided to have a talk with Her mother.

"Mother? Could I speak to you for a minute? Over here…" Lucifel gestured to a patch of Heaven arranged like a garden with a marble bench. It wasn't there before, but it existed now.

Iris Heart nodded, absentmindedly running a hand through her hair. "Sure thing little one, what do you need?"

Lucifel lead her over to the bench and took a seat. She waved absently sending a pulse of golden light through the little garden. "There. Our conversation will be completely private. This next part will probably not be pleasant for either of us. I love how protective you are. I want you to be protective of me. The part that annoys me is that, in the interest of diplomacy, I'm going to have to ask: What are you going to say at the meeting?"

Iris Heart sighed. "Ideally I'll state I'm going to hunt down the… monster who tried to kill you, and I'll ask for the factions to announce to their people what he did and that I will be hunting him." Iris Heart took a deep breath. "And that I will have no mercy for anyone who purposely hides him from me. Then, well… I'll leave, have Kala do the politics because she is better at it then me, drop my HDD, then see if there's a room for me to sleep in because I am going to be exhausted when I detransform."

"Okay. I was concerned over nothing," Lucifel smiled in relief. "I sincerely doubt the other Factions would hide Rivesim. He is as much of a stain to the Devils as he is to us." Already she was looking annoyed at the thought of having to manage her own language. The whole Faction mess was clearly irritating to her.

Iris Heart merely hugged her daughter and chuckled, noticing her daughter's annoyance. "I'll admit I've been trying to watch my own language around you.." Iris Heart sighed. "After I find Rivesam and end him… I'm looking forward to being able to relax and gather shares… I should have started on gathering my own supply ages ago…"

"The little worm is adept at hiding. Michael told me not to expect immediate results. I suggested just using the Divine System to ferret him out, but he held his ground. The Divine System is not to be abused as it would take energy from helping the people. Logic," Lucifel smiled sardonically.

Iris Heart shrugged. "Once the fact I am hunting him is out, ideally the pathetic coward will be left without any allies if there's anyone stupid enough to ally with him. If I'm lucky, they'll reveal where he is in a attempt to get mercy… Though the main reason I want to announce the fact I'm hunting him besides that is to make him squirm in whatever lowely hole he's crawled into."

Lucifel suddenly looked alarmed, "Mother...Iris-mama that is a very dangerous attitude to have. He could kill you if you take him lightly. His lineage is that of the original Lucifer."

"I'm fully intending on training and creating more spells to make sure I can crush him. Give your mama some confidence okay?" She said, smiling gently.

"Just because I have two moms doesn't mean I have one and a spare," Lucifel smiled and hugged Iris Heart.

Iris Heart smiled and hugged her back. "I know I know… Kala gave me a earful about that when we were waiting.." The elder goddess sighed before tightening the hug.

Lucifel said, only half kiddingly, "I wonder if it's too late to just hide in the garden." She looked around surreptitiously.

Iris Heart laughed at that. "Maybe later.. Anyways, any concerns or ideas or anything?" She asked, before yawning softly. "Oh I am going to be exhausted if I'm yawning under HDD."

"I can give you a light pick me up, but you'll be even more tired outside of HDD," Lucifel offered.

Iris Heart smiled before hugging her daughter once more. "I'll be fine little one. Your mama's not going to faint mid meeting if that's what your worrying about."

"Fine. I know how tough my mommas are," Lucifel smiled warmly. The smile turned a wry smirk, "I was just informed our guests have arrived. Ready to entertain?" She asked.

Iris Heart nodded. "As ready as I'll ever be. Though… I am nervous I'll be honest. I've never been good with people.." The goddess hugged her daughter.

"Just avoid yelling and strong language. Trust me. They're at least as angry as you are. Not for the same reason, but because this assault was conducted at all. No one wants the war to begin again except for some fools," Lucifel said.

Iris Heart nodded. "Show time then, I'll follow you little one. You know this place better than I do.." The goddess left the garden alongside her daughter.

The meeting area was arranged in front of the door to Purgatory. Mostly so that the Fallen and Devils didn't have to try walking through Heaven. There was also the offer of a way out should they wish to leave. Michael was already there beside where Lucifel would sit. Uranus stood at her father Azazel's side. Serafall and Sirzechs were seated at the table with Grayfia acting as their guard. A seat was open for Iris Heart with Kalawarner standing just behind.

"I hope you will forgive me for being a terrible hostess. I can offer you anything you like to drink, but all we have for snacks is angel food cake," Lucifel smiled wryly. Her opening joke worked as some of the tension eased out of the table.

"I'm sure it will taste simply divine," Serafall giggled. The twin tailed Leviathan had forgone her usual Magical Girl outfit and was wearing a more formal suit. She had a pink cravat sticking out from the collar. Purple eyes shone with mirth.

"I hope it's light. I have dinner after this," Sirzechs chuckled. He was like a male Rias with how handsome he was and the same shade of red hair. His outfit looked like a cross between gray armor and robes.

"God really does have a sense of humor…" Azazel chuckled. He was also a handsome man with blonde bangs and dark hair. The way he sat conveyed a certain casual ease that belied an intelligent mind.

Iris Heart smiled. "My daughter has a better one then I do in this case. I am sorry if this meeting is sudden, but recent events have forced our hand." That smile turned to a serious frown. "I will be blunt here. I will find Rivesam and I will end his worthless life for daring to attempt to kill my daughter and her other mother. I ask of you to announce to your followers that I will be hunting Rivesam down, tell them why, and that I will have no mercy for anyone who knows why yet still hides him from me." The goddess sighed, her fists clenched tightly.

Kala laid a comforting hand on Iris Heart's shoulder. The others at the table looked grim at her pronouncement. Lucifel sat back to see how they would respond.

"I can understand your frustration, but please do not threaten our subjects. If they are involved we will mete out punishment as required," Sirzechs' tone was mild with a faint rebuke.

"I won't try to keep you out of the loop, but no one is going to take unilateral action," Azazel's teasing posture vanished.

Iris Heart nodded. "Fair enough, I understand you want to make sure you have followers you do not want to get caught in the crossfire. I would like for your permission to hunt him down if he is hiding out within your territories, and if I find him, I will attempt to alert you. If and only if someone actively attempts to protect him when I find him, I will assume they are working with him. Does that seem fair?"

"Ahem...Perhaps my mother could be part of whatever searches you wish to conduct. I understand that allowing her free reign in the Underworld just isn't feasible," Lucifel glanced at Iris Heart meaningfully.

"As soon as we find a lead we would be glad to have her," Azazel said. The Fallen General was relaxing again.

"That is agreeable with us," Sirzechs said but his demeanor was far from calm. He was still a little stiff with indignation.

"That is fine by me then. I just want the bastard to meet his end." Iris Heart sighed, and took a deep breath to reign in her temper. "Now, is there anything that needs to be brought up with me present? If not, I'll find a place to rest and let Kala take over. I trust her judgement on politics over my own, and my day has been far from pleasant."

"Thank you for being with us," Lucifel smiled. The others expressed similar sentiment even if it wasn't as wholehearted as their hostess. An Angel approached to lead Iris Heart to a place she could rest.

"Please come with me," he smiled kindly.

Iris Heart nodded and followed, and de-transformed as soon as she was out of the field of view of those inside the meeting room. Plutia yawned, her entire body radiating exhaustion. "Maaay I ask what your name is?" She asked the angel, slightly slurring the first word from exhaustion as she followed him to what she assumed was going to be her room.

"Uriel," he introduced himself politely.

The room he lead her to was just off of Seventh Heaven, Lucifel's own area of Heaven. Inside was a complete reproduction of her bedroom on Earth. Her daughter knew she would need comfort.

Plutia smiled. "Thank you for leading me here... " The goddess climbed onto her bed, pulled her blanket over herself, and closed her eyes. She was tempted to doll herself, but decided it would be a waste of mana. Uriel stepped out of the room and turned out the lights.

There were other matters afoot, but the weary goddess was too tired.

Tis a short updoot, but mentally PlutiFF was running on fumes. Like, I was orginally going to have her all but faint when she/I de-transformed.
