In the Hands of the Next Generation (DC Flashpoint SI RP) {Recruiting Closed}

which makes me wonder what kind of heroes are available for the local stuff in the lower 48 states.

I am composing a list of super heroes and villains active on Flashpoint Earth for Unlucky Bib's next response, while it doesn't include every metahuman it does cover those currently engaged in the more standard crime/crime-fighting routine.

Should have the spiderlord's and Zedalb's responses up tomorrow.

Well, my post will be delayed until at least Sunday, sorry. A ten to twelve hour round trip will do that. Also RAGBRAI is awesome.

So @Zedalb you now know where you are and your backstory. Since Teen Titan Cartoon wasn't exactly clear as Starfire's past, the comics based on the Cartoon claimed Blackfire sold Starfire into slavery as part of a treaty but Starfire really doesn't appear to have any sort of grudge when she runs into her sister for the first time in series, I have taken some liberties.

Blackfire is Grand Ruler and is currently preoccupied by throwing wild parties and enjoying herself, though please note that Tameranians are a warrior people with a fondness for blood-sport so she's not soft by any means, Starfire was sent off to act as Battle Seeker to get her out of the way while Blackfire solidified her position, she proved to be very good at war and has since mostly settled into the role.

Welcome to the Flashpoint Universe.

So Blackfire handles the (internal and external?) politics while Starfire handles the martial/warfare side?

Hey, it could be worse.

You could be John Constantine.

Basically. Blackfire holds court on Tameran and mostly handles the politics but when stuff needs breaking or its a military situation, like the Gordanian/Thangarian domains being on the edge of war Starfire is sent in.

Hey, it could be worse.

You could be John Constantine.

You have no idea how funny/accurate that statement is in this universe.

Zedalb would do better as a warrior than as a politician. :V

FTFY.

As with Taylor Hebert, John Constantine is also an existence of suffering.

Edit:
I can't even begin to imagine how much worse John is doing.

Amazonian slave? Arcane battery? He should have still been in the UK when the Amazonians invaded it, if I remember correctly.
Prisoner of Hell? Crowned Prince of the Abyss?

With John Constantine there are so many horrible choices that it's basically pointless to try and guess.

John will be showing up here, and that's all I will be saying until he does. Anything else would spoil the surprise.

Oh and @Slayer Anderson I'm working on your post now should have it posted soon.

Edit: And it's up. Quest Giver Prince Orm wants you to oversee the return/staged escape of Dr Fate's lover along with transporting a means of magical communication to his surface world contacts.

@toxinvictory It's possible, and perhaps even likely, I missed something, or you're doing these out of order, but do you think you might have missed my last post?

Not really, while I am working towards doing these in order of number and posted, I have already given you two responses to Slayer's one. Now that everyone who has posted a twice has been answered I can move on.

Your response is next on my list and should be up shortly.

Interesting...

So, gotta' ask, since it's Orm and everything; that peice of coral is only a magical communicator, right?

Not, like, the magical equivalent of a stick of TNT?

Glad you like.

While its not Tula's field of magical experience I will say that yes it's only a magical communication device. A skilled mage could convert the energy in the construct into a crude mystical bomb but that true of just about anything.

That was about the level of reassurance I was looking for, as I didn't think Tula would be certain on the matter either.

Second question; this is almost certainly one of those, 'I didn't ask you to do this, I was never here, if you get caught I had nothing to do with this,'-type missions, isn't it?

Basically, if I fuck up, I get disavowed and punished, but if I manage to pull it off, Orm will make sure people 'forget' that I wasn't exactly supposed to have done what I did, right?

Pretty much be discovered and Orm will deny any involvement. Pull it off and your shielded from the consequences and get his gratitude/rewarded.

Orm is phrasing it as you delivering the communication charm and getting Fire back to Fate as the same thing. So one way to play this would be if you engineered her escape and faked her taking you prisoner, with you "escaping" after your mission to escort her and deliver the package is done.

...yeah, pretty much expected that too. I miss the days when I could master-mind global conspiracies while occasionally running into eldritch abominations... at least then I got to goof off when not dealing with insanity.

Hmm... I suppose my last question is: where am I going? Alaska, where Fate is? The UN building in New York? Or... somewhere else?
