[X] Rescuing Yosuke and the colorful creature
Rescuing Yosuke sounds more important, and I believe it's best to start small with EGO and work our way up to Paradise Lost. Using such a powerful EGO against chumps could backfire. Penitence is the safer option, and will certainly get the job done.

One thing I noticed is that these appear to be the Lobotomy Corp EGOs. The main difference between the EGO in Library of Ruina and Lobcorp is that in Lobcorp, the EGO is said to be lower-quality, have weaker/different abilities, and they take different shapes. For example, Heaven in Lobcorp is a spear without any special powers, but in Ruina it's a suit with a set of wings. There it's a ranged attack that restricts the target's movement.

This all means that Penitence might not actually have any healing abilities like in Ruina, so we can't go crazy just yet. The upside is that when we inevitably use Paradise Lost, our allies might not transform into apostles.

As for this.

We don't really know. While the weapon is indeed in the shape of Lob Corp's E.G.Os. The situation really shouldn't make it any weaker.

From the explanations of the people around here, the world of the TV by all right should hyper boost the E.G.O of these abnormalities straight into their full power state.

Because it looks cool and it fits with the fact one sin is a tutorial abnormality.

TUTORIAL FIGHT TUTORIAL FIGHT

After taking an early lead, the edgiest weapon loses out to the Bro-Mace. Next chapter, I get to try writing a fight scene! Oh boy.

Maybe one day they'll be a WhiteNight quest and then it'll simply be the voters deciding their flavor of Early WhiteNight

But for now, It's OneBro's time to save a Bro

It's a bit difficult for the poor godling since he's so...horrible.

The downside of the guy is 12 very much, dead people.

I don't think Whitenight will ever be a first choice type of thing unless someone make a pure Whitenight quest.

The problem with going White Night from the start is that there is no way to escalate further. That fetus is the most powerful Abnormality full stop.

This can be funny if used on targets that do not require it, sure, but at the same time the ace weapon's awe factor is tied to how rarely it comes out. If White Night or Paradise Lost becomes a bludgeon for every issue, its awe factor ends up negative.

Equipping the most powerful stuff from the start works in a game like Lobotomy Corporation. But now imagine a classic RPG where your characters wield the best gear from the word go.

Plague Doctor is a far more useable example I think.

Like if we had a choice here between Plague Doctor-

Actually, never mind that. Unless people want Yosuke to die.

This is true. I can see three solutions to this general problem of OP starter gear in quests/games. First limit the power in some way with either locks or costs. For example, overuse of Paradise Lost leading to His Advent. Or WN deeming you unworthy of the full power until it is gradually unveiled through ordeals or coming to understand the mindset of WN (in Persona, this could tie into a concept from the older games known as persona rank and compatibility).

The second is to make the majority of difficulty come from problems that cannot be solved through the gears's power or raw firepower in general, such as socials. Perhaps WN is actually bad at keeping the ones you love alive, at least when they're not apostles.

The third solution is to not dangle the carrot in the first place if the other solutions are not already prepared. There's merit in having "bad" voting options available but at least for starter choices an option should not exist if it's both unlikely to win and would not be interesting at all if it won.

Actually, never mind that. Unless people want Yosuke to die.
I prefer to call it rebirth. :V

While that is all good and all.

Thinking more about it. You realize that Whitenight is a giant hammer too big for most nails.

Unless it's in a final boss fashion of sorts, most of the time, Whitenight is too much trouble for his own good. Especially with the whole "Apostles" thing.
He ain't the most problematic Abnormality for nothing. You might as well say "I give up on socials" if you pick him.

1. When a Project Moon quest was started, the Qliphoth Counter decreased.

2. When the vote result was Good, the Qliphoth Counter lowered. Plague Doctor then blessed the SV users who voted for him.

3. Once the Qliphoth Counter reaches 0, Plague Doctor and his disciples shall advent.

The time has come. Soon, the notification bell shall ring. A new quest will come. Rise, my voters. Rise and serve me.

So uh, in case people are wondering what's taking so long, I already wrote 2/3 of the chapter, then I went and fucked up my shoulder, so I'm typing the last third left-handed. Still, it's almost done, should see the light soon.

My friend.

It is fine. If you "fucked up" your shoulder, I'm more worried for your sake than the actual chapter.

As someone who recently nearly froze to death and had to deal with the effects of that one his writing, take your time, mate, you'll be fine.

Is the Library not a patient, quiet place, of knowledge and reading?

Just wait for the next turn of the page.

No worries, we can wait if you need time. Hope you feel better soon!
