Imperium Asunder: A Post-Heresy Nation Game (Deceased)

Is the Imperium still a state that theoretically is united or do are we literally just a bad day away from shooting each other?

Coolio... so Terra has the Thousand Sons at the foot of Magnus, the Sisters of Silence and Black Ships of the Astropaths, the Navigator Houses, and extra oiled grieving Custodes all in one spot? No wonder Magnus stays hooked up to the Golden Throne :V

If he doesn't want to come to us, then we'll just have to compress time and space to make it so that he's already with us.

Given, well, the Imperium, I'm pretty sure we're already shooting at each other. It's just slightly less likely to happen than if you run into a traitor.

I mean shooting at each other and really meaning it. I'm sure there is a difference...

"First to rise. First to soar."

Btw dovah as the op states I am the most numerous legion in the eye, me having less fleets than others basically means I just have a bigger legion, just not support right?
It was a mistype honestly. Was supposed to be powerful, not numerous due to all the demon hosts and what with you being the alt-Black Legion.

The Beast
Dark Eldar
Eldar Craftworld
Another Ork, 5 fleets

So, anyone able to give me a summary of Galactic South East
To your west is a massive chaos enclave ruled by the Salamanders, to your North is the kind of State Perturabo would build. In the heresy you got off rather lightly, other than the Salamanders and the Imperial Fists going on a rampage through your 500 worlds as they chased Curze. Your legion has the codex astartes and has sectors assigned to specific chapters, all answering to whoever rules Macragge. Beyond that, down to you.

Is the Imperium still a state that theoretically is united or do are we literally just a bad day away from shooting each other?
Well, seeing that now the Primarchs and even the Imperial Regent are gone, the real question is, who is in charge of the Imperium? After all, having everything split between several leaders will only lead to divisions and internal weaknesses.

I mean, is it wrong for Ultramar not to spread its glory to other worlds? Is it wrong for the other sons of the Primarchs to acknowledge the authority of the new Warmaster? Why should the sons of Perturabo be sidelined to fight pirates in backwater worlds after they saved the imperium?

Don't worry, the Thousand Sons love the Black Watch. So long as you don't come over here, you're doing a very good job of...whatever it is you're doing, and your historical service record is impeccable.

I figure that under Jago the Black Watch don't have much in common with the old Night Lords. Terror tactics don't work well on Chaos worshippers and with the state of the galaxy I can see them reorganising into something more suited to the demands of the times.

I'm leaning towards them focusing on decapitation strikes and sewing confusion in the first moments of the battle before slaughtering everything that moves and moving on. They can fight in sustained actions if need be but their preference is to show up, strike hard and disappear into the night.

So is Magnus the last loyalist Primarch standing, and all the others were killed by their brothers/disappeared into the webway/will return in the End Times?

"Standing" is not exactly a good way to describe Magnus' current state, as I understand it. He's basically been focused solely on keeping the Astronomican going for the past thousand years. He's just the last loyalist who we actually know where he is.

@Dovahsith

So, main question I've got to ask, how are the Chaos empires still standing? Looking at it, the Imperium outnumbers them heavily in terms of fleets, so I figure there's got to be some reason the Imperials haven't just drowned them in bodies.

Well the Dark Imperium is basically one giant warp incursion, wasn't it? Near the end Lorgar was basically mass-converting worlds into daemonworlds in batches. I imagine the Salamanders have fended off the Imperium with superweapons, and the Astronomican doesn't reach into the Corvidae Oversector so conducting a serious campaign there is incredibly difficult unless we've got the Pharos device.

Do I PM you for details (which i will have to do anyway), or do i get a random world to start from in the Ork Frontier. Also has the game officially started yet?
Random world.

Because the amount of concentrated bodies it would take to end the war in any reasonable timeframe would mean ignoring the Orks, the Eldar, the rebellions that inevitably pop up, various minor alien empires and most other major warzones. Also because in the end of the last game i recall certain players getting rather opinionated on the possibility of retreating into the Eye of Terror.

So, what exactly do I need to do at the moment? Just try to build up more fleets? Or try to conquer minor Xeno races? Or should I just send my fleets to randomly raid different chaos aligned worlds?

You see your fleets? Take them and kill stuff.

We should probably set up a Discord or a group PM for better communications...

NOT LOYALIST STUFF! DO NOT KILL LOYALIST STUFF!

Unless like...they deserve it or you need to.

If they betray you and open fire.

Or if you can kill them all and then say they opened fire with nobody to contest you.

Or if they have something you want and you don't feel like bargaining.

Or if you need to deny their resources to the enemy.

The Death Guard can come up with a lot of good reasons to kill Loyalists.

I could always try to build up nothing but fortress worlds in my territory and make it suicide to attack my planets. But, that will probably tank my economy... Maybe I'll just keep fighting southwards and try to build a ship to escape to a different galaxy gain more planets and resources so I can fight the foul Xenos and Traitors!

The only consolation is Chaos make us look practically united.

United we stand... Or, at least, we stand more united than everyone else. Like, a lot more. Anywho, I'm not against being allied to the rest of the factions in the Imperium. As long as you guys don't try to stab me in the back repeatedly.

Death Guard are used to it by this point, considering all their war orphans and bring the WAAGH in.

And by that, I mean, the big players in the Imperium decide to try to annex me. Besides that, you guys don't have to worry about me. If I can build ten more fleets, I'll send them around helping you guys with whatever you guys need help with. I'll use the fifteen I started with to start conquering all the foul Xenos worlds around me.

... Also, is the Khan's body still lost? Because I might decide to go and try to find it and give it to the White Scars. If it's still lost, that is. It seems to still be lost, but I don't know.
